H March H
The two mischievous teenagers found that actually crossing the line from friends to lovers truly did not change there dynamic by much. They still delighted in horrifying the populous of Hogwarts and enjoyed breaking the rules.
It should have been no surprise then that during the early days of March, they decided to sneak out of there dorms to go swimming in the Black Lake. Only this time, someone realized that something was wrong and that they were missing. They were swimming in the lake, there clothing on the edge and enjoying the quiet and escape when Harry noticed the approaching professors. It was too late to keep them from noticing the pair swimming as they were stalking angrily towards them having already noticed. "Lovely," Fred muttered catching what she was looking at.
"Are you both insane," Remus demanded as McGonagall glared tapping her fingers on her arm angrily. Flitwick and Snape were there as well.
Harry was not phased by the angry expressions, just looking at them calmly without an ounce of remorse. "Hello professor, lovely night for a swim isn't it, why don't you strip and join us," Harry suggested, "Clothing is optional of course if you want to act more professor then werewolf."
Fred winked continuing to wade water. "out, out now," McGonagall ordered them both.
Harry grinned, well, she did say get out of the water. "Whatever you say, professor," she said getting out in only her braw and panties. It left absolutely nothing to the imagination and the Professors gaped at her audacity.
"Miss Potter do you have no shame," McGonagall demanded as Fred climbed out in only his boxers. Flitwick squeaked slightly covering his eyes.
Harry, however, was just amused. "Not particularly no," she said putting on her shirt which just happened to be one of Fred's baggier ones that reached halfway down her thigh. "Better?"
"Not particularly though you do look lovely in my shirt," Fred said pulling on his sleep pants and his shirt.
She grinned giving him a suggestive look and a promise of, "Later."
"Promises, promises," he teased the phrase in itself a sort of promise.
McGonagall pointed to the school. Her face was red in both embarrassment and anger. "Miss Potter put on your pants and get into the school immediately."
She slowly slid her pants up glancing at Remus as she did so. He could see the challenge as she watched him. "Enough, you realize how much trouble you in," Remus demanded. "this is no time for jokes and sarcastic comments."
The professors who taught Remus half wanted to comment on that since he was a marauder after all but they knew now was not the time to bring it up. Fred however, like normal took that as a challenge, "it is always time for jokes and sarcastic comments."
Harry had a question that she had to ask. It was strange to have the large group of them approach at once. Three head of houses plus Lupin seemed a bit overkill to catch a pair of wandering students. "I have a question, what is with Flitwick, Snape, and Lupin being here," Harry asked.
McGonagall glared, angry as she was practically making a mockery of them. "After searching the entire school I had to get more staff members to assist me, go. You had best hurry up. Get inside, now."
They walked off but Harry just glanced at Fred mischievously. He couldn't stop the slight grin on his face. The truth was, they liked messing with the staff as much as they enjoyed getting into trouble so they weren't that upset at getting caught. They were told to sit down in McGonagall's office and did so without complaint. "Not only were you out after curfew, but you were also out of the castle, swimming in your underwear, while Sirius Black is on the loose...what are we going to do with you both. Can you not follow the rules at all?" McGonagall demanded.
"I have never seen such a blatant disregard for the rules."
"I think its genetic predisposition for trouble-causing ma'am," Harry replied cheekily. "A child is 10 times worse than their fathers."
McGonagall glared since the Marauders were pranksters yes, they were not nearly as disrespectful and careless as Harry Potter was. "Not even James Potter had the nerve to do what you've done this year, how you dress, your impropriety to students and staff," McGonagall growled angrily. "Miss Potter what has gotten into you this term."
"Was that rhetoric or do you really really want the answer," she said wiggling her eyebrows.
Fred bit back a chuckle since her implication was clear and impossible to miss. "Miss Potter," Remus growled knowing exactly where she could go with that. "Be serious."
"You want me to be a mass-murdering death eater," She asked cheekily.
Remus's breath caught hearing those words. Sirius-Serious. one of his old best friends' favorite jokes. It made him angry to think back on when the man had been his friend, and all that it meant to him. "Miss Potter, you are endangering yourself in many ways."
"Professor," She said taken back by the absolute pain he felt. She had not expected that sharp feeling, almost like being stabbed. "Did Black hurt someone you cared about. You look in pain when I mentioned him. Look, I can be a bitch but I didn't mean to be that much of a bitch."
Everyone was taken back by her comment. She was rare to apologize and even slower to show any remorse for a comment she made. "Harry," Remus said using her first name. "Don't you know who Sirius Black was."
Of course, she knew who he was. Everyone in the wizarding world knew who Black was. "Mass murdering death eater, that's about it," she returned. "Didn't seem all that important."
Remus sat down shocked realizing that she actually did not know. "Merlin, no one told you," he said horrified.
Fred looked at them confused before seeing the surprise on all the professor's faces. They were obviously missing something important. What exactly should she have been told? "Told her what," Fred demanded.
"Sirius Black was James Potter, Peter Pettigrew and my best friend at Hogwarts," Remus stated. How had everyone overlooked her knowing about that? Surely someone should have informed her. "He betrayed your family. People suspect he's coming to Hogwarts for you Harry. He was your godfather."
Harry got up, left the room and no one stopped her. Fred got up and followed her as she punched a wall angrily. "I am so sorry Harry." Fred knew how much she wanted a family, to find out her godfather was a traitor and was a danger to her would hit the girl harder than it would most.
"I don't even know if I am angry," she whispered collapsing into his arms, speaking into his neck so only the two of them could hear. "They are so angry. I just needed to breathe. I can't even tell if the anger and hate I feel is from me."
He gave her a moment to catch her breath, knowing she needed it before he ran his hands up her side causing her to shiver. "Feel that," he whispered.
She glanced up at him surprised. "What."
He kissed the curve of her neck before whispering in her ear. "pleasure, thrill...lust I don't know. What do you feel? We aren't in the room anymore. Tell me, Harry, what do you feel."
She grinned slightly at the activity relaxing into him. She took his league focusing on the familiar. "Definitely lust and thrill because I know what usually follows."
"That's you, not just me," he said softly into her ear. "Focus on the way that feels. Now you know whose emotions you are feeling. Are you okay now?"
She nodded. She felt much better and less overwhelmed. "yep, let's go back since we are probably going to get sympathy points now."
He agreed, laughing since of course, she would think of sympathy points. They returned without another word and set down. "Miss Potter, are you alright," McGonagall asked worriedly, "That must be a lot to take in."
"I am angry because I was not informed that he was coming to Hogwarts for me. That means I did not take appropriate precautions. before he was just a death eater, I assumed probably towards Dumbledore...families that had a more direct link to the war. I was not aware that I would be a focus at all. Had I, well I probably still would have gone swimming to be completely honest, have you seen Fred shirtless," Harry asked wiggling her eyebrows causing the redheaded boy to snicker. "Oh wait, you've all gotten a good view of us in our underwear."
McGonagall looked at her seriously. "We need to have a very long talk on appropriate conduct, Miss Potter. You're risking your life, even if you did not know about Sirius Black there are the dementors. Your acting extremely inappropriate."
"Why are you just targeting her," Fred demanded. He hated that they seemed to always focus their anger on her. It wasn't fair when he was obviously doing the exact same things as she was. "Last I checked, I was out there with her."
"Your attitude has been consistent, Miss Potter, however, this is new."
"Look, that's not right," Fred continued. They acted like she was some sort of monster. While they excelled in their reputations, he hated when they were not fair to her.
McGonagall looked to Fred. "Oh, I think your mother will be making you realize just how inappropriate you're acting without our help."
Fred cringed and lowered into his chair, Howler here he comes. "Both of you will have detention every evening until the end of the year. Minus 100 points Gryffindor," McGonagall stated. "Do you both realize the risk of the things you're doing."
"We know it well enough," Harry challenged. "Or thought we did since apparently, we were the only ones who didn't know about Black."
"Your acting too..."
"Slutty, skanky, loose," Harry offered the challenge clear. "Go on then, say it I am sure I've heard it."
McGonagall gave her a slight glare, "You give a sort of appearance. The way you act will follow you for a lifetime. You're putting yourself in danger by acting inappropriately, it will give boys the wrong opinion of you."
"Please, they wanted up my skirt even before I started looking like this," Harry returned knowing better. It hardly mattered how she dressed or acted. She could feel what they did and it wasn't pleasant long before she changed. "Have you ever listened to a group of teen boys talking? Oh, I bet she's wild, always the quiet ones you got to look out for. I would so fuck that. They don't need a look to want it. Apparently even last year I was voted the most wanted shag in my year. Last year when I played the part of a prim and proper witch. don't even bother about the whole it will follow you yada, yada, yada, blokes will react poorly, you're giving yourself an image saying you want it. They try anything, and they lose an important part of there anatomy. May we go or are you going to do the whole, your parents would be so disappointed bit?"
McGonagall could hardly look at them she was so irritated. While she knew they were not completely wrong in that statement, she was angered seeing James and Lily's daughter acting like she was. "Go," McGonagall said having enough.
They both got up and left. "You good," Fred asked a bit worried since their anger was focused on her.
"Fine," she agreed. "I expected worse."
"Yeah so did I," he admitted since the punishment could have been much worse for breaking that many rules and the lecture could have gone for hours if they did not feel guilty for failing to inform her of Black's connection to her. "Same time tomorrow," He added with a wink.
She couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, most definitely." He returned the bright smile as they went to their rooms. They had a lot to think about but in the end, they would act however they wanted and damn the consequences.
