Forbidden Fruit

**Authors note: this is just a short poem about Remus and maybe one of his loves in between Hogwarts and his teaching. By the way, please someone say they like it coz I love writing poems and you'll just gimme an excuse to write more. Also if you like it check out Too Late, which could be about either Severus and Remus, or Sirius and Harry. **

I was never meant to know

The harm and hurt I've caused to grow,

I was never meant to fall in love.

I am what I'm meant to be,

A beast, you know its plain to see,

I never planned to make anyone cry
I left you crying on that floor,

That night you thought that no one saw,

And yet nobody did, for I'm a thing.

I don't deserve the joys of life,

I'm not allowed a loving wife,

And yet I know I crave the love you bring.
I should have told you straight away,

On that bright mid-summers day

And then you, like all would learn to Hate me.

But, I was young, naïve, a fool,

I never seemed to lose my cool,

And from our dates a love began to blossom.
I'm sorry I let you live in pain,

But if you don't know, it'll keep you sane,

You'll never know you loved the forbidden beast.

I see your picture every day

And I picked out words I meant to say

To stop you being broken up inside.
I know you love someone new

I love you, I don't know what to do,

I also know through gossip you still love me.

But I am the forbidden beast

Something that is cared for least,

I deserve not you, not no one.
I left you crying on that floor

The night you thought that no-one saw

I left you heart broken on that feather bed

I left you broken on that floor,

And now I want you more and more

But I know I cannot have the forbidden fruit.
