Cath looked up from her laptop and saw Levi leaning on the doorframe, watching her, smiling at her.

"Hey," she said, "How long have you been home?"

"Few minutes." Smiling. He was wearing a royal blue button up shirt tucked into pressed brown dress pants.

"How long have you been standing there, watching me?" His smile was contagious.

"Few minutes." He shrugged. "I like watching you work." He pushed off the wall and walked over to her.

"Okay. Creepy." Cath closed her laptop and started to get up to meet Levi halfway.

"Why didn't you text me you were on your way home?" Levi picked her laptop up and set it on the coffee table while bending down to kiss Cath's head. Cath leaned back into the couch as he sat down next to her, adjusting the collar of the flannel shirt she was wearing. (It was his flannel shirt. It smelled like the perfect halfway mixture of Cath and Levi).

"I did. I figured you were too focused to reply," Levi said. Cath picked up her phone and saw two missed texts and a phone call. It was six o' clock.

"Oh my god, it's Friday." Cath groaned. "I totally forgot..." They had a reservation for dinner at six-thirty, and Cath hadn't even showered.

She moved to get off of the couch again, but Levi pulled her back gently into him and put his arm around her shoulder. "We can cancel it," he suggested. "I don't mind. I don't want you to stress out about something that was supposed to be fun. It doesn't matter where we are to me; I just want to spend time with you."

She looked up at him. Levi. Cath nodded and said, "Yeah, okay. We can just reschedule date night for another-" Levi stopped her words with a sudden kiss and, after recovering from the surprise of the interruption, Cath closed her eyes and kissed him back.

"I love you, Cath," Levi said when he pulled back.

"I love you too, Levi, " Cath said, sort of confused. "Is everything okay? Not that this isn't okay; you're just acting different, and if you want to talk about it that's totally okay with me. I just want you to be okay. Okay?"

Levi smiled, and brushed a piece of her hair behind her ear. "Everything's perfectly fine. Perfect, actually. I do actually have something I wanted to talk to you about though… I just haven't been able to think of the right way to approach it."

Cath started untucking his shirt, uncertain as to where the conversation was heading. "I'm all ears. Unless you're wanting to rehash the discussion about whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich; we've already decided that argument is unhealthy for our relationship." Levi guided her hands away from his pockets, rubbing patterns into her palms.

"There's no need to talk about that again," Levi laughed, "It's obviously a sandwich."

Cath rolled her eyes.

"Anyways," Levi added quickly, "that is kind of what I wanted to talk about. Our relationship." Cath blinked. Oh.

"Cath?"

"...Levi?"

He paused. Took a deep breath. "If you were writing fanfiction about us, what would our 'ship name' be? Lath? Cevi? Cathevi? I know you've been in the professional writer world instead of the fanfiction one for a couple years now, but I figured you were as close to an expert in the matter as I could think of, and one of the girls at work today was asking and I didn't know,-"

Cath punched Levi playfully on the arm.

"You're ridiculous." She exhaled a nervous laugh.

Levi smiled widely. "I know.

"But those are awful choices. What about "Lever?" For Levi and Cather?"

Levi's smile widened. "Lever. Of course. I can dig that." He ran his hand through her hair again and gripped her hand tightly. He reached into his pant pocket with his free hand. And then he got down on one knee.
