Chapter III

Greetings and salutations my wonderful readers! I am back with another chapter of Devil's Luck. Yeah, I have been going through and updating a lot of my older stories, partly because I just felt it was time to do so. That said, this one has been quite a while, I know. It seems at least a few of you enjoyed the previous chapter, so hopefully this one is just as enjoyable. As usual, Bakuto Masaki has helped me with this, so my thanks go to him. And, in case not all of you read the update to one of my other stories, I have returned to working my day job, as a result updates to my stories will be coming out slower than before. That said, on to the reviewer responses!

YuukiAsuna-Chan: This is very true.

Well here ya go!

AnimeA55Kicker: Nice, glad you do.

Indeed, Dante is the ultimate troll. Well with how Dante is, it shouldn't be a surprise that he's got unknown children all over the place.

Eher: Well thank you. (n_n)

desdelor97: Thanks. I do what I can to bring all of you high quality work.

correnhimself316: Well hopefully it's still as interesting as you think it will be and then some.

Indeed she is. Can't say when she'll actually appear, but she is here.

DemonHunter52: Maken-Ki's first season was great, its second season was kind of shit, and the manga was really good up until the recent chapters. If you're as much a fan of Aki as I am, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about...

Ikkitousen's first season is hard to watch, the art is pretty atrocious. But each subsequent season has some great artwork, with the most recent being really damn good. Senran Kagura's anime is... odd. The first season is pretty good if derivative, the second season I haven't actually watched yet.

The Divine Wine is Soma Wine from DanMachi, though don't think that means DanMachi is in this story, just aspects. I don't know why you are, I'm not in your head. If it's anything like mine it's a terrifying place. Yeah, Raynare was kinda fucked in canon, though I blame that more on Ishibumi's shitty writing earlier in the series. He got much better as he went on. But I think the Fallen Trio could've been handled much better.

Dante does that to everyone. He knows exactly how to piss people off. Kinda like Ragna the Bloodedge.

Here's the next chapter, and yeah, he has Eight Pawn Pieces, but I won't say whether he's used them all or not.

The Storm Master 567: If you knew much about Fate you wouldn't be surprised.

AlternativeFutureFan27: Nero isn't in this story.

That's possible.

Queen's Blade isn't in here.

Vali wants to fight everything.

Depends on where you're talking.

Why?

DemonGod: Indeed he is. One of the best. Here's more!

sirvancelotgraves: It's what I do. I think the smallest crossover I ever wrote had four or five different series in it. I tend to get the characters introduced and flesh them out later.

Ben56: Shouldn't be too hard to find who I'm talking about, she's from Fate and a Saberface. どういたしまして。

FanFictionHunter: He doesn't count her as one of his girls yet. Trust me, there will plenty of milking later.

Skull Flame: Yeah, it was important to kneecap that shit fast.

He has a few.

Well it's Fran, what's not to like?

They're his instead of Zechs'. Grayfia just attends to Zechs as a maid, her actual relationship is with Dante. Okita has no connection to Zechs in this.

She'll have the mother of all hangovers. Just a little.

thechampionmike957: Because they aren't mistakes. It's how I do my stories. It's not going to be changing any time soon.

otherbarry6: That's one hell of a list my boy. I've played every single Devil May Cry except for five and DmC, smartass. So don't go flexing your nerd cred on me when you're just a self-important twat. Then why are you here if you hate it so much? Why are you reading the second chapter of a story that makes your head hurt? Go somewhere else.

gwb620: She's in for one hell of a headache.

SantoryuSekai: He's going to be DMC4 Dante. If you know what that means, then there's your answer.

treyalexander63917: Yes, that's her. That he most certainly is.

The Mad King Ben: Well that's the intent. (n_n)

Saberfang Orcalodon: Indeed. FGO and FKLPI are my preferred and favorite Fate universes.

superpierce: Senran Kagura.

Kerlongsj Evert Orlejov: I'd say that's inevitable. You're never going to like one hundred percent of a given work. Even my favorite series of all time, Testament of Sister New Devil, has more than a few faults. Well I like to have a mix of the predictable and surprises in my stories. If it's all completely different, it may as well be a different property. If it's all the same, it's not a FanFic, it's a novelization.

DragonMaster4872: Ah, I see. I've had ideas for a Black Lilith/Devil May Cry story in my head for a while, it's just that the Black Lilith universe is so expansive, it's difficult to pin everything down right.

doodle army: What's Thor got to do with this?

alaude hibari: I regret to inform you I have no intention of including DMC Nero in this story. Vergil may make an appearance later, but that's the extent of it. Sorry.

Sweet merciful Ophis that was a hell of a lot of reviews. I love it! Keep 'em coming folks! On with the main event!

"… Yyaayy…" Rias groaned.

As the conversation continued, Dante turned his attention to Koneko. "And you li'l Shironeko. Ever met a tall busty and energetic blonde named Anne Bonny?"

She just stared silently at him, narrowing her eyes.

"I'll take that as a yes to that Rook." Hearing something odd, he turned around and saw that Rias had drunk herself unconscious. "Huh. Rias is out cold."

Akeno kept her pleasant smile and just shrugged. "It happens."

Dante raised an eyebrow and walked up to the redhead, poking her in the cheek, causing her to just sleepily bat at his hand like a cat. "I see. Well, I better get Fran home and introduce her to the family. So bye!"

Fran bowed silently before following him out the door.

Finally returning home, Dante walked in the front door with Fran when he saw Maria on the sofa petting a rather large black cat.

As she saw him come in she got up and ran over to him. "Ah! Hey Dante!" She then noticed Fran next to him. "Who's that?"

"Mary Shelley," he answered plainly before waving to the cat. "Hey K."

The cat just meowed as Mio pet it.

"You know this cat?" Maria asked, sitting next to it.

"Of course. She's one of my Rooks."

Mio and Maria both just stared at him in silence, hoping for a punchline.

He noticed their perplexed expressions. "What?"

"But… it's a cat…" Mio muttered in bewilderment.

Dante nodded in agreement. "She is a very smart cat."

"Riigghht…" Sella chimed in, thinking this yet another of his jokes.

Smirking, Dante looked at K directly. "K, get me a beer from the fridge."

With a meow, the cat jumped off of Mio's lap and pattered her feet into the kitchen.

Mio and the others watched curiously before hearing the refrigerator door open. Seconds later K came back out with a can of beer clutched in her tail.

"Thanks K, good girl," he praised before scratching her chin, the cat purring loudly, Mio and the others just staring in disbelief.

"How…?" the redhead questioned as if her brain had shut down.

"She's a smart pussy."

Sella just stared at him with growing annoyance.

After looking at Mio's face for several moments, K trotted off to the kitchen once more, returning with a bottle of wine.

She just looked down at the cat in silent thought for several moments before accepting the apparent gift. "… Thanks…"

"Huh, your cousin does the same thing," Dante remarked as Mio pulled the cork out.

"I know."

The next day, Dante waited in the school's gymnasium for the students to arrive, clad in a plain black shirt and red pants, with a large duffle bag in one hand. "Hmm… first day of work. Wonder how much fun it will be."

Almost immediately students began entering. The few male students present wore simple white shirts with blue shorts.

The far more numerous female students also wore white shirts, but those were accompanied by sets of red bloomers.

Taking full account of the girls and their uniforms, he gave himself a subtle thumbs up. "I like the uniform… I think I'm going to love my job." As the group's chatter continued, he decided to get their attention. "Okay class!"

Their conversations swiftly halted as they took a look at the white-haired man in the center of the room.

They all looked at him with rather curious looks, some seeming almost suspicious.

"Yes?"

One of the girls spoke up. "You're not what we expected," remarked a tall, slim, toned girl with tanned skin and a voluptuous figure, long, dark purple, almost black hair that reached the floor, part of it covering one of her ice blue eyes as she stepped forward.

He just shrugged. "Well you shouldn't expect anything from the unknown except the unexpected."

Another girl standing next to the tanned beauty, a girl with an equally filled out figure, though not as toned, with much lighter skin, and hip-length dark brown hair tied into two long parts with large yellow beads, her tired green eyes behind round, frameless glasses and wearing the same gym uniform, had clearly been taken by his words. "I'm… dizzy…"

"If you are, beautiful, then you should head for the nurse's office."

The tanned girl helped the brunette remain standing, staring in irritation at him.

"And you are?"

She frowned in thought at him.

"If you're going to speak up to me, you may as well introduce yourself."

"Unchou Kan'u."

"Noted. Maybe you should get your girlfriend to the nurse."

Kan'u's face brightened red before she snapped back, "G – Gentoku was just confused by your babbling!"

"Gentoku, hm?"

"G – Gentoku Ryuubi, sir," the brunette introduced.

Another girl, whose body was rather petite, her light brown hair tied low into pigtails, her mismatched green and blue eyes staring at Dante in annoyance.

"Something wrong sweet petite?"

The girl twitched an eyebrow and snapped, "It's Ryoubi. And you haven't even told us your name, 'Teacher'."

"Ah. Tony Redgrave. Your gym teacher." With that he dropped the duffle bag, which made a loud, almost echoing slam when it hit the ground.

That only got the students more concerned about their bizarre teacher.

"Now everyone, I'm going to teach you how to play dodgeball."

A blonde, full-figured girl standing next to Ryoubi, her blue and green eyes swapped in color, put her arms next to her voluptuous orbs with excitement as she cooed.

"Stop getting excited over every bit of violence, Ryouna," the brunette growled.

"But it's all fun, Sis…!"

"What's the bag got to do with anything?" a boy with a buzz cut asked in annoyance.

Reaching in, Dante pulled out a hefty spanner. "Simple. If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball." Throwing it with full force, the teen buckled as it struck him directly between the legs. "Let him be an example of what not to do."

The other students began to huddle next to each other, only for Ryouna to step in front. "Myah! Throw 'em at me!"

Dante obliged and gently tossed one at her that managed to bounce of her chest, eliciting a very loud moan from the girl.

Ryoubi glared at her sister and hissed, "Stupid dog."

Dante reacted by launching one at the brunette, who narrowly avoided it as it embedded itself in the wall behind her.

"Are you trying to kill me!?"

"Now then," he remarked, ignoring her as he picked up several more spanners from the bag. "Let's get started," he declared with a grin.

Dante, who had a seemingly endless supply of spanners, threw each one in seemingly random directions as the students attempted to avoid them.

Ryuubi barely managed to avoid each one thrown at her, though Dante was hardly using much force to do so.

Ryouna, counter to the goal, tried her best to get hit by each one.

Another teen, a full-figured girl with deeply tanned skin, long, dark brown hair tied in a long ponytail with a white ribbon that stood up on the ends, and yet the hair still reached down to her feet, and blue-grey eyes with socks that were lazily scrunched near her feet, deftly dodged most of the thrown tools, receiving a couple good knocks, however.

"At least some of you can dodge, Homura," Dante praised slightly as he continued throwing his would-be weapons.

Another girl, silently holding a purple teddy bear, with long, messy violet hair and dark purple eyes, her gym uniform doing little to distract from her nearly immense bust, just stood in one corner of the room, trembling fearfully, the onslaught completely ignoring her.

Dante sighed to himself. "Guess Murasaki is as bad as her report showed. Won't bother with worrying her for now."

Next to Kan'u and Ryuubi, a third girl, with short, chin-length brown hair that flared out at the ends, red-brown eyes, and several bandages already on her face and arms, did her best to aid Kan'u in preventing any of Dante's "teaching tools" from reaching Ryuubi, resulting in her gaining more than a few new spots for bandages.

"You're supposed to dodge, Chouhi," he grumbled.

A young woman with long, waist-length, light blonde hair cut with straight bangs just above her bright green eyes, held to one side with a green clip, did her best to avoid the incoming projectiles, though mostly failed.

"I thought you were supposed to be skilled, Yomi."

Another of the students, a girl with long, wild, dark cherry blonde hair and deep red eyes, her firm bust accentuated with her uniform, merely stood still, blocking each of the spanners coming towards her rather than dodging them.

"That's not necessarily the point of dodgeball, Souji."

She just turned away in a huff.

Next to Souji, a far bustier girl with light green, shoulder-length, messy hair and deep purple eyes attempted to dodge, eventually deciding to duck behind Souji.

"Keep moving Bashou!"

Mio, also part of the insanity, growled as she avoided most of the projectiles.

After receiving one more spanner to the head, Chouhi growled angrily. "What's the point of this!?"

"Like I said!" he shouted before shooting another one at her that she barely dodged. "If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball!" He quickly felt the combined glare of all the girls, and a few of the boys, bare down on him.

Eventually, the half-hour torture session came to an end, and the vast majority of the students sat on the floor in exhausted anger.

Dante gave an exaggerated sigh and folded his arms. "Well that was disappointing. Hardly any of you dodged up to my standards."

"You were throwing wrenches you freak!" Ryoubi hissed.

He just shrugged dismissively. "Not my fault you didn't dodge." He then noticed Kan'u, standing in front of Ryuubi, sending a particularly nasty glare his way. "What?"

"Disgusting."

He just raised an eyebrow.

Serafall nearly fell out of her chair as her plump chest shook around with her boisterous laughter.

"You look happy," Dante remarked with a smile, back in his normal attire.

"Th – Tha – That was the… the funniest thing I've seen… in decades!" she exclaimed, barely managing to spit the words out between breaths.

Suzune, however, was less than amused. "He could have seriously injured them! Are you trying to get them crippled!?"

"Of course not!" Serafall answered back, trying and failing to sound earnest under her guffaws.

Dante retorted flatly, "I told them if they can dodge a wrench they could dodge a ball."

Suzune directed her anger squarely at the man and chastised, "I already don't approve of you being here, and to add to that, your 'method' of exercising the students is to throw weapons at them!?"

He stared at her in confusion. "… Wrenches are weapons?"

"When you're hurling them like kunai they are," Suzune snarled.

Dante just shrugged. "If I was there'd be broken bones. Besides, I avoided hitting all the weak ones."

Suzune groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. "Your logic does nothing but piss me off. I can't believe you're the one Lady Gremory hired…"

"Well I have beaten and outwitted her son several times," he retorted with a smirk.

She just stared at him as her irritation grew before she finally seemed to give up fighting it.

"What?"

Serafall pulled a bottle of brandy from her desk, though the purple-haired beauty refused it.

Looking back to the man, Suzune urged, "Just don't do any permanent damage or kill them… you give me too many headaches to keep dealing with you…"

Dante nodded in approval. "Good. Oh, by the way, who's teaching the Tournament fighters?"

"Huh?" Serafall wondered aloud.

"That combat tournament."

"Oh. That'd be Suzune," she answered, motioning to the woman.

"Can I pitch in?" Dante questioned.

"Absolutely not," she rebuffed coldly and bluntly.

"Why? Afraid I'll do a better job ninja girl?"

"I need them able to function," she jabbed.

"And they will do so just fine, pantyless one."

She twitched an eyebrow at his remarks. "What do you me –?" she stopped as her face turned slightly red, seeing a pair of black lace in his hands. In a flash she pulled a kunai from her cleavage and threw it at him, nailing him directly in the forehead.

"That was uncalled for," he retorted, unfazed by the blade in his skull.

Suzune stared at him with a sense of disbelief.

"What? It was."

Serafall could not suppress a light chuckle at the events before her.

Pulling the knife out of his forehead, he explained, "Anyway, I think those fighters can benefit from my tor – I mean training."

Serafall tilted her head in confusion. "You've already got the gym class."

"But I'm training my daughters though…"

She winced slightly in surprised concern. "… Eh?"

He raised an eyebrow at her reaction. "What?"

"Daughters…?"

He nodded firmly. "Yeah. Hakufu and Asuka. Goei and Ganae's kids."

Serafall relaxed slightly and sighed in relief. "O – Oh."

"Why?"

"N – No reason!" she answered hurriedly.

"Okay?" He then thought of something. "Oh, why don't you come over to Iri's tonight and bring your sister for dinner?"

"Uh… s – sure," she responded, slightly confused.

He nodded with a smirk. "Great. Now to see those combat students."

Serafall blinked in thought before sighing.

Dante looked over the group silently.

Kan'u, annoyed, looked at Suzune. "Why is he here?"

"To train ya and the other fighters babe," Dante urged.

Suzune argued, annoyed, "For the record, I don't want him here, but the headmistress insists."

"Because I am damn good at what I do."

Sighing, she argued, "Just don't kill them."

"Don't worry. I won't."

Ryuubi looked at him worriedly.

"Yes?"

Ryuubi winced and hid behind Kan'u in fear.

Kan'u stiffened and blushed as she tried to suppress a sound from Ryuubi's chest pressing against her back.

Seeing this, Dante grinned in amusement. "Well this just got fun. Now let's start."

The girls all just stared at him incredulously.

"What?"

"What are you planning…?" Chouhi asked suspiciously.

"You all sparring with me for one minute to see where you stand."

"Restrictions?" Kan'u asked swiftly.

He just shrugged. "None. Come at me with the intent to kill. Otherwise I wouldn't get any fun out of it."

Kan'u's eyes seemed to light up momentarily as she picked up a long wrapped weapon nearby and pulled off the fabric, revealing a long spear with a blade that looked as though coming out of the mouth of a dragon.

Dante grinned in mild excitement before watching as Ryuubi yet again hid behind Kan'u. Frowning in thought, he turned to Suzune. "… You sure she's one of your choices?"

"She's a dragon inheritor," the purplette explained plainly.

He raised an eyebrow at that answer. "Just because she has one of the Four Souls doesn't mean she should fight."

"She doesn't have a choice."

"Oh?" Dante pushed, his expression turning into a small glare.

"The Fighters are often possessed if they avoid participating too much."

His glare shifted completely to total bewilderment. "… Since when? The only ones I know that do that go inside those that love to fight."

"It's because of the dragon," Suzune answered plainly.

'Not what I meant…' Sighing, he dropped the discussion. "Whatever. Alright, come at me with everything you've got. We'll start with li'l Ms. Spear because she seems excited. So, come at me."

Kan'u immediately launched from where she stood in an instant, Dante easily sidestepping her attack with his hands still in his pockets.

Despite overshooting her target, Kan'u effortlessly spun on her heel and thrust her spear at the white-haired man, who turned where he stood, causing the blade to pass by him harmlessly.

Growling in frustration, she took the weapon in a low grip and pivoted her body to hit him with the blade, Dante just crouching down to avoid it, Kan'u hopping back before sending a barrage of thrusts and jabs at him, all of which he deftly avoided.

"Okay, that's up to fifty seconds," he announced before pulling his hands from his pockets, slipping forward and getting right past her guard, and slammed a fist into her abdomen.

She coughed violently as the blow sent her sliding back against the wall, dropping her weapon. As she stumbled forward to regain her composure, Dante dashed behind her at blinding speed and slammed his leg into the middle of her back, causing a loud gasp to emit from her before she collapsed to the floor.

"There, I think that's enough. Now who wants to go next?"

The door to the room opened as two new girls walked in.

"My apologies that I'm late," said the first with a bow. A tall girl with long, lustrous silver-white hair, her eyes held firmly closed, her normal outfit accented with white, fingerless gloves and long, black socks.

Next to her was a girl with short blue hair tied in twintails and a rather mild figure compared to the rest, her light blue eyes looking at Dante in thought. "Who's the weirdo?"

The silver-haired girl glanced towards Dante, despite her eyes being closed, and visibly tensed.

Dante, however, smirked in amusement. "Well, well, guess there's more than I thought. Good."

Sighing, Suzune introduced the girls. "Shiryu Chou'un," she pointed to the silver-haired girl, "and Yojo Bashoku," she explained, looking toward the twintailed girl, "two other students that are in this group." Looking to the girls, she explained, albeit irritated, "This is Tony Redgrave, your assistant trainer for the Fighters Tournament."

Shiryu almost immediately spun on her heel to leave, only for Dante to pick up Kan'u's spear and throw it at the door, jamming it shut.

"Well that was rude," Dante chided as he approached her. "You should know better than to try and run from training, young lady."

She just turned away from him in silence.

Quietly he added, "And stop keeping your eyes closed, it's disgraceful to your heritage."

"It is calming…" she answered just as quietly.

Ryuubi, fully bewildered by the events, spoke up. "U – Um, Chou'un, do you know this man?"

Shiryu twitched an eyebrow before sighing in frustration. "… He is my uncle."

Dante gave a defeated shrug and remarked, "Come on… I'm the best uncle in the world!"

Every single person in the world stared at him incredulously.

"What? I am!"

"Why are you here?" Shiryu asked very pointedly.

"A job dear li'l Shi-chan."

Her eyebrow again twitched slightly. "Shi – ry – u."

"Aww… but you liked me calling you that."

With a light pink to her cheeks she rebuffed, "When I was a child."

"Aw… but you're still Shi-Chan…"

Folding her arms under her bust, Suzune interjected, "Perhaps you can explain, Chou'un, why he saw it necessary to train his class for dodgeball by throwing wrenches at them."

The silver-haired beauty audibly groaned as she put a hand over her face. "… That damn movie…"

The others just stared at the duo in silent bewilderment.

Dante shot back, "Hey! It was a good one!"

Something seemed to finally reach the end of her nerves and Shiryu partially opened her eyes, partially revealing her vibrant ice blue eyes.

"… Uh-oh," Dante muttered right before she charged at him with almost blinding speed and swung the long katana in her grasp, still in its sheath, and tried to smack him between the eyes with it. Blocking it with one hand, he used his other to reach forward and flick her on the forehead.

Yojo just stared silently as the girl stumbled back with a light yelp of pain.

"I swear you spent too much time around your father. What your mother saw in him the UNIVERSE will never know."

"Can we start training or are you still screwing around?" Suzune interrupted before any further distractions could occur.

He pouted and pointed to the girl with a red mark on her forehead. "Shi-chan started it."

"And you're an adult. So be one and end it."

Dante just slumped his shoulders like a scolded child.

"Good."

Dante then decided to lay out his plans for the training.

Ryuubi, hearing them, began to shiver where she stood, Chouhi piping up, "That's insane!"

Dante shrugged dismissively. "No, they're pretty standard exercises. Shi-chan did them all the time. So let's get to it."

Chouhi and the others just stared at him with a light glares, potentially hoping it would change his mind.

"Well? One hundred push-ups, one hundred sit-ups, one hundred squats, fifteen chin-ups, and a ten k run. Now get going!"

The girls all gaped in disbelief that he actually intended for him to do that, Ryuubi and Yojo turning to Suzune for a means of escape, to which she just sighed in defeat.

After completing his proverbial obstacle course, the girls rejoined him and Suzune in various states of fatigue.

"You're… a psycho…!" Chouhi cursed as she flopped onto the ground.

"So?"

She just weakly glared up at him.

Kan'u stood with a large fan attempting to cool down the fatigued Ryuubi.

Shiryu, however, was mostly unaffected besides being slightly tired.

Dante nodded in approval. "So, now the warm-ups are done."

Ryuubi sat up slowly, looking at him in worry. "Warm… ups…?"

"Yep. Now the training can start."

They all stared at him as though he were a serial killer, with Yojo swiftly turning to Shiryu. "You're his niece, stop him before he kills us!"

Shiryu sighed heavily before turning to her. "Not even my father could if he tried."

"… We're all gonna die…"

"Alright, let's get going!" Dante cheered.

"And what exactly do you have in mind…?" Shiryu questioned anxiously.

Picking up a nearby kendo stick, Dante gave it a few swings. "I'm going to stand here, not moving. Your goal is to hit me. You can try one at a time or in groups, doesn't matter. Try and hit me as many times as you can in five minutes."

"… And the catch?" Chouhi wisely questioned.

Smirking, Dante held up the kendo stick. "I'm going to defend myself, of course. So if I see an opening in your attack, I'm going to hit you with this. Good luck."

After a moment's pause the girls charged at him.

After the five minutes of torture, the girls all sat or laid on the floor.

"No… more…" Chouhi begged as she laid face down on the floor.

As he looked over the devastation, he noticed Suzune looking at him very irritated. "Yes Suzune?"

Sighing, she adjusted her glasses with a scowl. "I thought I told you not to kill them."

He responded by looking at Yojo and poking her with the practice sword, resulting in her lazily swatting at it. "As you can clearly see, they're not dead. Just tired."

"I… can't move…" Chouhi groaned heavily.

"Then you're weak."

Kan'u, meanwhile, was trying to hold back her reaction as Ryuubi laid on her lap resting. "… Ryuubi…?" she spoke up softly.

Sighing, the bespectacled brunette looked at Kan'u with a weak smile. "I – I'm okay… Just… tired…"

"Something wrong, ladies?" Dante questioned as he approached them.

"You mean besides your absurd training?" Kan'u barked back. "If something were wrong I would handle it."

"Oh? You really must be her girlfriend."

Kan'u's entire face lit up bright red at that remark.

Ryuubi looked at him from where she laid, confused. "Huh? No."

"So you're both available," Dante commented.

"No," Kan'u rebuffed coldly, putting a hand over Ryuubi.

"So… you both are dating?"

"No."

"So you are available."

"Neither of us are dating but we aren't available to the likes of you."

"Ouch. You barely even know me. Shame too, I like powerful women."

She just twitched an eyebrow and shot back, "You're an insane, perverted man."

He just scratched his head as he listened to her. "Okay, now how about reasons not to like me?"

Kan'u stared at him, perplexed by his personality.

He then turned his attention to Ryuubi. "You sure you want to do this? You don't really seem like the fighting type, and I won't force you like the boobs over there does."

Suzune twitched an eyebrow at the less than subtle jab.

Ryuubi frowned in disappointment. "But… I can't just let them fight on their own…"

Shiryu explained, "She is our leader, just like the Gentoku Ryuubi of the Three Kingdoms."

Dante blinked a few times silently before he almost fell over in guffaws. "… Haha!"

That reaction got Kan'u angered enough to grab her spear, though she was not about to disturb Ryuubi's lap pillow. "… What?"

Dante managed to catch his breath and answered, "N – Not you, babe. I just know a thing or two about the original 'Ryuubi' Liu Bei, and she sure as hell wasn't much of a fighter. She led her kingdom, yes, but that doesn't mean she actually fought. She mostly shoved all the fighting responsibilities onto Guan, Zhang, and me."

She raised an eyebrow and set her weapon down, even more confused by his behavior than before.

"What?"

"You talk as if you knew them."

"I did."

Nearby, Shiryu quietly talked to herself. "Yes, I know. The others don't seem to have woken up."

Seeing this, Dante decided not to leave it alone. "… Who ya talking to?"

"No one," she replied curtly.

Frowning slightly, he urged, "… We are sparring later."

Shiryu frowned deeply at his order.

Later, after the girls had enough time to recuperate enough to sit up and pay attention, Dante decided to discuss going forward.

"Okay, so, it's Bashoku, Unchou, Ekitoku, Gentoku, and Shiryu who are your fighters?" he questioned Suzune.

"Yes," she answered with a simple nod.

Nodding as well, he turned to the girls. "Right. Gentoku, you won't be doing any actual fighting. Okay?"

That caused the light brunette to furrow her brow in worry. "Th – Then what will I do…?"

"Be the commander. Research your opponents, come up with strategies. That's what Liu did. Well, she had Zhuge Liang do the main strategizing but still."

Eventually she could not keep up with everything he was saying and slumped to the side, her eyes swirling in confusion.

"Huh. That was fast."

Kan'u, naturally, sent him a deep glare.

Leaving it at that, he left the training area and made his way towards the main area of the school, watching as Kan'u carried the disoriented Ryuubi. As he made his way there, he quickly caught on to someone's gaze poised on him and decided to just speed up the process. "… You gonna come out now or should I make you?"

Seconds later Homura stepped out of the nearby shrubbery.

"Nice. Ah, that's right, you're the chocolate beauty. How can I tempt – I mean help you?"

"Just saw you talking to Unchou and Gentoku."

"The secret bisexual and her glasses-wearing love interest?"

"The same. And don't let Unchou hear you say that, she'd kill you."

Dante just smirked with a shrug. "She can try. I'll just beat her down again."

"So how about you tell me how you got in here so quick?"

"I know Sera."

"Oh?" Homura asked with interest.

"The headmistress and I are old friends and sleeping buddies. And I am very good at giving women a workout. Especially ones like you. Swordswoman right?"

She blinked in thought before smirking. "You're observant."

"I just know a fighter when I see one. You need work. I have a Grand Master belt in ass-kicking. I'm guessing you're in that tournament."

"What do you mean?"

"You are a fighter, aren't you?"

She waved a hand dismissively. "Nah, that kind of thing isn't my interest. I'm surprised a mere PE teacher knows about that."

"Well I am training them. Plus, I am far more than a mere PE teach babe."

Suzune approached the two and interjected coldly, "I believe you have another class, Redgrave."

Dante just shrugged with a smirk. "Alright, alright beautiful." Turning to Homura, he continued, "Anyway, you should consider entering. My daughter is in it and you look like someone that thrives from fighting powerful opponents."

"We'll see," she answered with a smirk before turning on her heel with a wave. "Anyway, I've got class."

"Now to teach the third years," Dante noted to himself before turning around to look at Homura as she left. "One nice ass."

"I would prefer you don't peep like that on my students," Suzune chided.

Dante just shrugged with a smirk. "I look. No touch. Lest they want me to. Want me to peep on you instead?"

Suzune's glare deepened greatly before Serafall intervened on the situation. "Suzu, could you stop glaring at my boyfriend? Otherwise you'll get pranked."

The purple-haired woman twitched an eyebrow before sighing in defeat.

Dante turned his attention to Serafall formally. "She one of yours?"

Serafall shook her head in denial. "Nah, Vene-Tan's. I told you that earlier."

He raised an eyebrow in thought. "Did you? Guess I was busy looking at your tits. Still, must say, Venelana picks them well."

She nodded with a smile. "You do too, but could have done without C if you ask me," Serafall ended with a frown.

He shrugged with a smirk. "What can I say? I love your rivalry with her."

She puffed her cheeks in frustration.

Dante grinned and pinched one of her cheeks. "What? It is. Besides, the double boobjobs you do with her are awesome."

She folded her arms in a pout and turned away from him. "… You have a point… jerk."

He pulled Serafall into a hug with a smile. "Hey now no need to be all pouty Sera. Wanna fuck in your office to make ya happy?"

Serafall narrowed her eyes before grinning playfully.

"Thought so. Let's go break it in," he urged before picking her up in his arms.

Sometime later, Serafall, laid across her desk, blubbering incoherently and her stomach slightly swollen.

Dante sighed as he looked around the room. "That drain really works."

"Yep…" she mumbled.

"Haven't seen you this ravenous in a while. It's nice."

She just smiled before resting her head on her desk with a moaning sigh.

"Hm? Sera?" he called out, poking her cheek with no response. "Huh… she passed out. That's a first."

Taking a moment to straighten the office from their activities, Dante left the room and made his way to the gymnasium for the next set of classes.

As the day ended, Dante sighed as he laid on Iri's sofa. "Bored… So… bored…" After a few long seconds of groaning, he had an idea. "Hm… maybe I should wander around aimlessly and see what hell shall follow me. Yeah that works."

And with that he left the house and just started walking down the pavement.

After an hour or two of relative silence, he felt something bump into him from the side. "Huh?" Looking down, he saw a young, cute, slim girl with long, golden blonde hair and bright green eyes wearing a black, nun's dress with a white habit that had blown off her head, a large brown suitcase next to her, sitting on the ground in a daze.

"Ow…" the petite blonde groaned.

"Well aren't you cute," he cooed.

The girl winced before looking up at him. "U – Um, I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going."

He smiled and waved a hand dismissively. "It's okay kid. No need to apologize."

Taking a moment, she stood up and dusted herself off, looking at Dante. "Oh, um, do you live here?"

"Not very long, but I do."

"Well, do you think you could help me find my way?"

He raised an eyebrow thoughtfully. "Uh, maybe. Don't mind helping a cute nun in need."

She smiled in gratitude and bowed. "I am Asia Argento. I'm looking for an old church in this city, can you help me find it?"

Dante put a hand on his chin in consideration. "Hmm… maybe. I'll have to search around though. And it's gonna get dark soon."

"Oh…" she muttered in disappointment.

"I said I'll give you a hand, come on."

She picked up her suitcase and nodded with a smile.

"Here, I'll carry that for you."

"R – Really? Thank you."

The two walked around the city for some time trying to find the church in question, without much luck.

Eventually Dante decided to break some of the silence and boredom with a conversation. "So what's a cute little nun like you doing in a town like this?"

"W – Well… it's complicated…"

Dante frowned suspiciously but decided not to poke the issue too much. "Right… do you have any idea where this church you're looking for is located?"

"She just told me it's on the edge of the city…"

"She?"

"Oh, yes, Lady Raynare."

"Ray, huh?"

"Ray?"

"Yeah, I met that sexy fallen angel a little while ago. Even took her out to dinner."

The blonde frowned in mild concern. "… You… know Lady Raynare…?"

"A bit. Why?"

"Well… that's…"

Their conversation was interrupted when the two heard a child crying nearby.

"H – Huh?" Asia turned and saw a boy with a scrape on his knee and rushed over to him. "Shh, it will be okay," she soothed as she crouched down next to him.

Dante followed over quietly and watched.

"Come on, don't cry, big boys need to stay strong," she told him warmly before placing her hands over the injury, causing a soft green light to emit from her palms, his injury disappearing almost immediately.

Dante's eyes momentarily widened as he saw the bright silver rings on her fingers glowing gently. 'That's… a Sacred Gear… and that one… It's…'

"There, all better," she chirped as the boy stood up in surprise.

"Th – Thank you," he answered shyly before running off.

"How'd you do that?" Dante asked as he walked up to her.

"Huh?" she muttered, not entirely sure what he meant before realizing it. "Oh, that? It's a gift from God."

"… Gift, huh…"

"Yes."

Sighing, Dante looked around as the orange tint to the sky slowly faded to black. "Look, it's getting pretty dark. I don't think we're going to find that church at this rate."

"Oh…" she mumbled in disappointment.

"Got a place to stay?"

"No… it was supposed to be the church…"

"Ah…" After a moment he added, "My wife and I could let you stay at our place. Until we find the church at least."

Asia turned to him surprise before frowning slightly.

"Something wrong?"

"Are… you sure it's okay…?"

"Yeah. I'm sure Iri won't mind at all. Little Illya will probably love to play with you too."

Asia blinked in surprise. "Play? You mean… like a friend?"

"Yeah. Why? Is that weird?"

"I've… never had a friend before…" she commented with a hopeful smile.

"Well you're about to get two. Because I'm sure Illya and Shiro would love to be your friends."

She stared at him silently with a bit of awe before nodding with a smile. "Okay."

When Dante arrived home with Asia, Iri and Sella both stared at him silently with suspicion.

"I'm calling the police," Iri warned as she picked up the phone.

"Wait, wait, wait, why!?" Dante exclaimed.

"You kidnapped a little girl!" Sella accused.

Asia just looked around in bewilderment.

"No I didn't," he argued bluntly, Iri and Sella both staring at him doubtfully. "What?"

"Then how'd you meet her and why is she here?" Iri questioned.

Sighing, Dante explained, "Ran into her on the street, apparently just arrived and looking for a church. It's also getting late and I doubt we'd find it when it's so dark."

"And you brought her here because…?"

"Safest place for someone that can't speak Japanese. Plus she has something I think we need to take note of."

Iri stared at him silently before sighing heavily.

"What now?"

"You'll go to any absurd lengths when it involves a cute girl, won't you…?"

"Probably," he answered matter of fact.

After getting the situation sorted and introducing the others to Asia, Sella prepared dinner with a large spread of food on the table.

The blonde girl looked over the display of food in wonderment. "There's so much… I've never seen most of this food before…"

Illya looked at her slightly confused. "Really? We eat this much all the time."

"Seriously!?"

"Yeah," Dante reiterated. He then noticed her practically drooling over all the food. "… You can go ahead and eat."

Blinking in confusion, she looked at him. "Aren't we going to say grace first?"

Dante just shrugged. "You can. I'm not too much into religion."

"O – Oh…"

"If you want to you can."

"Okay…" she answered, somewhat disappointed.

"What's wrong?"

"N – Nothing."

Dante frowned slightly as she put her hands together and began to pray silently.

She then reached out for a piece of fried pork and took a bite, her eyes widening in surprise. "… It's so good…"

Sella smiled pleasantly as Illya nodded fervently. "Isn't it!? You should try pizza!"

The blonde looked at her with excitement. "I've heard of it but never had it!"

Instantly Dante reached his hand between Liz's globes and pulled out her cellphone, causing the girl to look at him slightly confused. Before he could do anything, though, Iri took the phone from him.

"No," she denied coldly.

"But it's important," he argued emphatically.

"You're just going to order pizza."

"So? She needs it!"

"Nobody needs pizza."

"But she's Italian."

"Pizza as you know it is American. So that fact is irrelevant."

"But its roots are in Italy."

Iri folded her arms firmly. "We had pizza last night. You are not getting it again."

Illya and Dante both stared at her with desperation, but she was unfazed.

"The answer is no."

Asia looked around the room in confusion. "Did… did I do something bad?"

Iri shook her head with a smile. "No. Dante was simply using you as an excuse to order more pizza."

"Oh…" she mumbled apologetically.

"Now, let's eat."

After dinner was finished and most of the dishes cleaned up, Illya ran up to her mother excitedly. "Hey, hey, can Asia stay in my room?"

Iri put a finger on her chin in thought before smiling. "Sure, I don't see why not."

"Yay!" the girl cheered before taking Asia by the hand to her room.

After a moment, Iri took notice of Shiro, Liz, and Dante all just staring at her. "… Why are you all looking at me like that?"

"No reason…" Shiro commented slowly.

"Miss Illya, what does pizza taste like?" Asia asked as they walked down the hall.

Illya put a hand on her chin, thinking. "Heaven."

The girl's eyes shot wide. "… R – Really…?!"

"Yep!" she answered with a smile.

"… I want some…"

Iri twitched an eyebrow as she felt Dante grinning at her, finally sighing in defeat. "… Fine…"

Dante swiftly took the phone from her.

Shortly after, the group stared at several pizzas sitting warm on the table, Asia starry-eyed at the large pies.

Liz licked her lips with anticipation, Iri just sighing in frustration.

"Yes dear?" Dante asked.

She just turned away from him with a pout.

"Aww… don't be like that."

Asia pulled one slice away from the whole and watched as the cheese pulled away like strings. She quickly took a bite and trembled for a moment before smiling brightly. "It's yummy!"

Illya nodded emphatically in agreement. "I know right! Pizza is the food of the gods!"

Asia blinked several times in thought before looking at the slice in her hand. "I – I see… I didn't realize God ate food like this."

"Gods," Dante corrected as he took a bite.

"Huh?" she muttered, confused.

"Gods. Not just the one from the Christian faith."

She tilted her head in further confusion, not able to comprehend what he meant.

"What?"

"But… there's only one God."

Dante just sighed and rolled his eyes. "Only because he calls himself that."

She furrowed her brow.

"What? Never heard of any of the other divinities?"

She nodded slowly. "I have, but they aren't real gods."

"And who told you that? The church?"

She nodded and added, "The Bible specifically."

"Which is heavily biased," he answered, accentuating by pointing at her with his pizza.

She frowned slightly and looked at the ground in contemplation.

"Now enjoy your pizza before Liz thinks you're done."

Flinching, she saw Liz reaching for her plate and swiftly pulled it away.

The busty girl pouted in defeat. "… Mean…"

Asia did her best to eat her slices before Liz could get any of it.

Later that night, Dante laid on the sofa reading when he felt a pair of eyes on him. Turning to the side, he saw Asia on the nearby chair. Thinking little of it, he just returned to his book.

He soon realized she was not stopping. "See something you like?"

She just tilted her head slightly. "N – Not exactly…"

"Then what is it?"

"N – Nothing…"

Sighing, he closed his book and sat up. "If you want to say something, say it."

Frowning, she decided to go ahead and say it. "Are you… are you really going to take me to the church…?"

"When we find it. And if it's safe for you."

She leaned back in the chair, curling up slightly.

"What?"

"N – Nothing…"

Sighing, he pushed slightly. "Asia…"

"… It's just…"

"Just what?"

"Um… what… are you…?" she stammered before finally getting her question out.

He raised an eyebrow at her question before shrugging. "A Monster Hunter, why?"

"… Nevermind. Forget I brought it up."

As she got up, he realized what she meant. "Huh? Oh! You want to know my race! Not my job! I'm a half-devil," he answered plainly.

That seemed to be what she was expecting, and she backed away slightly.

"Well?"

"I… I probably shouldn't be here…"

As he looked the girl over, something seemed to finally click in his head. "Hm… a pretty blonde nun from Italy, I knew you seemed familiar. You're the one those priest bastards kicked out because of your helpful nature."

She widened her eyes and paled in fear. "… H – How…?"

"Some friends of mine up high complained about it to me."

She cast her gaze downward somberly as something weighed on her mind.

"What's up?"

"Do you think… it was bad I helped a devil…?"

He smiled and shook his head before patting her head gently. "Not at all. If someone needed help why not help them?"

"I see… The church didn't like that my Sacred Gear worked on devils as well as humans."

He huffed dismissively. "Well the church had no right to excommunicate you without going through the Seraphs first."

"I – I see…?"

"Yeah. Gab talked my ear off about how unfair, unjust, and unnerving it was for them to go behind their backs like that and excommunicate you."

Asia tilted her head in bewilderment. "Gab?"

"Yeah, Gabriel. She was really pissed."

"Gabriel?" After a moment, Asia's eyes widened as she realized what he was getting at. "Wait, do you mean the angel Gabriel…?!"

Her reaction confused him slightly. "She got demoted from the Seraphim? Last I checked she was still an Archangel."

Asia listened to him before she practically had steam coming from her ears in thought, trembling slightly.

"Oops… Should've seen that coming…"

Iri slapped him on the head at the sight of Asia. "Are you bullying little Asia?"

"No, just correcting some of her misconceptions. And I think her brain fried."

"Well of course. She was raised in and by the church, their worldview is all she knows."

"Right, right."

Shifting gears, Iri instead asked, "So, what do you plan to do about her?"

He sighed as he leaned back on the sofa. "First I need to find Ray and talk to her."

"That Fallen? Why?"

"She's who Asia was looking to meet up with. And I want to find out why."

"Right…" she commented in concern.

Dante looked up at her with a playful smile. "What? Worried I'll get in danger?"

Iri leaned down and gave him a kiss. "Of course not. I'm worried you'll do something stupid."

He smirked proudly. "You don't need to worry. I do that without question."

"True. Just look at the previous Holy Grail War."

Dante responded with a weak laugh. "Yeah, I kinda screwed that one up…"

"Now, why don't we head to bed, it's late after all."

"Are we heading to bed or going to sleep?"

Iri just smiled playfully.

"Want to add Liz to the bed?"

Iri put a hand on her chin in consideration. "Hm… no, not yet."

"Got it."

The next morning, as everyone prepared to head out after breakfast, Asia wondered aloud what they were doing. "Where are you all going?"

"I'm going to school with Shiro and Dante's going to work," Mio answered.

"I'm going to school too!" Illya added.

"O – Oh…"

Maria then asked, "Have you ever been to school?"

Asia shook her head in denial. "Just the lessons they taught me at the church."

Mio's expression saddened at that response.

Dante offered, "Want me to see if you can apply to the school here in town?"

Asia perked up in a mixture of surprise and anticipation. "Y – You think I can…?!"

He nodded firmly. "Definitely. I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends too."

Her eyes shot wide in wonderment.

"Anyway, until then, stay with Iri. I'm sure she can help you with learning the local language so you can make a good impression when you start."

Asia nodded energetically. "I will do my best!"

Mio turned to him as they left the house. "Can you not do anything weird today?"

He confidently answered, "I won't make a girl a promise I know I can't keep."

And there you have it. Devil's Luck chapter three, just over two years from the last update. I cannot promise the next chapter will be sooner than that, but I do not intend to leave it hanging that long, for whatever it is worth. If you enjoyed the chapter, do be sure and let me know, I always appreciate it. If you were confused, uncertain, or simply have questions about anything, such as what series certain characters are from, leave your queries as a review and I will do what I can to address them in the next reviewer response. Hopefully it will be before the next Olympics has had a chance to come by. If you did not enjoy it, review if you have any suggestions or ideas, but just complaining will get you nothing but sarcasm. That said, enough rambling from me. Until next time, bye-bye!
