Warning: Spoilers for Episode eight, "The Dark Owl". You've been warned!

Thank goodness.

Tikki sighed as she left her bond with Marinette, grateful to see both her chosen's and Chat Noir's eyes closed. This was going to be a toughy.

She then heard Chat Noir release his transformation and that's when she saw him.

Adrien.

Oh the Kwami gods certainly were having fun with this one.

Well, at least it wasn't some utterly random person behind the mask...but Adrien...Really? The girl had his face plastered everywhere in her bedroom! She saw him everyday! Stupid Miraculous powers blinding their users to keep their identities a secret. If that weren't the case, their first encounter - dangling and tangled up from Ladybug's yoyo, chest to chest - would have gone a tad bit differently. Ok, a lot, differently. She would've recognized him immediately, Tikki was sure of that.

Tikki had to hold herself from letting out a squeak. Marinette was not going to believe that it was Adrien beneath the black mask. Of course, when the time was right.

Plagg ended up by Adrien's shoulder and glanced back and forth between the two humans. He better not say a word or she would have his tail in a minute.

"You've gotta be-"

Gosh darn it, Plagg.

"Shh!"

Of course he would be the one to freak out. Not the time, Plagg. Not the time.

She saw Adrien, geez it was weird to know Chat's identity, pull off his ring and hold it out to Marinette. Her chosen reached out aimlessly, finally resting on Adrien's hand. Oddly enough, Marinette closed his fist around the ring, pushing his hand back. She must have a plan.

Fear gripped Tikki as Adrien's mouth opened slightly, forming an "o", as if he were about to speak. Tikki frantically zipped towards him.

No, no, NO! You can't say a word, Adrien! Marinette isn't under the power of the miraculous! She'll know you who are!

She clamped the boy's mouth shut and zipped off towards Marinette's bag, diving in and pulling out a macaron she'd received earlier. They would be stuck here for a minute, might as well regain their strength while they could. It might not be Plagg's choice of fine Camembert but anything would suffice at this rate.

That's also when she saw them: the fake ring and earrings Marinette had made to help "The Owl" be seen as a superhero. Her girl really was smart.

Marinette had deposited the "miraculous" into the bin and shut it. Now all they had to do was keep quiet.

Though Tikki didn't know if this was one secret she was willing to keep.

Ya'll. That eighth episode though. Just wanted to write out this scene through Tikki's perspective. I have this canon that when they're not under the power of the miraculous, they can easily recognize each other from voice. Could be, or not. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks for reading :) Reviews and faves are always welcome! They keep me writing!
