Chapter 55: Saving uncle Ichiru (2)

"Kaname...what do you mean you can't kill him..." Ichijo asked in mid-sentence before realizing Kaname's pierced hand. "Wait, I don't care anymore. Why do you Purebloods always have to do such reckless things!?" he scolded as he tried to pull the sword out of Kaname's hand.

The Pureblood looked at Ichijo for a moment before removing his hand and began to walk out of the room. "If I were to give him my blood directly, he wouldn't need a container to persevere his body the next day. But...to be able to revive even during this state, it disgusts me. However, if one were to be hit in the head or heart, they would turn to dust," he explained before reaching for the doorknob.

"Why do you haste to kill? Your desire to kill him hasn't changed, why couldn't you kill him?" asked Ichiru causing the Pureblood to stop in his tracks before turning to glance at the younger silverette.

"That is because...I am actually Kuran's ancestor and Rido, is the "master" that woke me from my coffin." he replied before exiting the room leaving the duo behind. However, at the same time, setting at the branches of a nearby tree were Zero and Mochi. While they managed to stay hidden along with the help of Mochi's command to tell the nearby branches to cover them with their leaves.

Zero sighed in relief as he noticed that the damn pureblood was finally gone, though it was too soon to save his young brother under too many eyes. He knew that he would have to wait until Ichiru was alone with the coffin. Mochi turned to sense that some of the trees from the further outskirts of the school have signalled a warning towards her that multiple unfamiliar people have started to approach the school. As a response, she started to growl in warning, earning Zero's attention as he noticed the sudden anger in his daughter's eyes.

At that moment with Yuki, Aido and Kain...

Yuki whined slightly as the first rays of sunlight shone into her eyes, while Aido turned back at Yuki. "Morning has already come, let's return before Kaname-sama notices our absences," said Aido while Yuki suddenly smelt something.

She turned towards the direction where the scent was coming from. "I thought I smelt, Kaname-senpai's blood..." Yuki muttered.

"I know that you're probably sensitive to many things, but we must return now before Kaname-sama finds out," said Aido, while he tried to ease the female pureblood.

"But...I sense a sinister presence. I have a feeling that something is stirring..." said Yuki in discomfort before sensing that the school grounds are surrounded.

In the day classroom...

"Hey, did you hear? Classes are cancelled for a while." said a female student with long hair.

"I got a message saying that we can prepare to return home for a while." informed another female student with bobbed hair.

"Hey, then do you wanna go to the night dorms?" suggested the female student with bobbed hair.

"During the day? It's kinda hard...In any case, we're not allowed to go outside without further instructions," replied the long-haired student before her friend noticed Yori.

"Sayori, Sayori! Did you manage to get in touch with further news?" asked the bobbed hair student.

"Yeah...but have you two seen Yuki, Zero or Mochi-chan?" asked Yori worryingly.

"Nope. Didn't you go to the chairman's office to see them?" asked the bobbed hair student.

"I brought a change of clothes but I didn't get to see them...I didn't think that even Yuki went back without telling me..." said Yori before she started thinking that something was amiss.

A while later, after watching students walk away, YORI stopped in her tracks to find a man in a winter coat at the end of the hallway where the window was open.

"How do you do, miss? We're in the middle of preparing a present for our master, whom we haven't seen for so long." said the man kindly, which made Yori uneasy as she immediately thought that the man was highly suspicious. Especially considering that the man managed to get through a window that was three floors above ground.

"Who are you...?" muttered Yori before she braced herself to start running before feeling the man's aura started to darken.

"Like, I said a prese-!?" said the man before he felt something pierced through him before turning into nothing but dust. Yori gasped at the dust pile before she saw two familiar figures of Yuki and Aido.

"Yori-chan! Are you alright!?" asked Yuki in worry as she climbed over the hallway window. "He didn't hurt you or anything!?"

"Yu..ki? Yuki...you?" stumbled Yori as she didn't know what to say.

"Ah...I'm sorry Yori-chan. For making you go through something scary." said Yuki.

"Just now... that person who turned into ash..."

"He's the same as me...I'm sorry..I-"

"BAKA*! (IDIOT!)" said Yori in relief as she and Yuki are finally reunited again.

Meanwhile back to Mochi and Zero...

Zero watched as he noticed that flesh inside the coffin started to pulsate and move before a pale hand shot out of the coffin. Mochi's eyes widened before she started baring her teeth as the trees started to scream in warning and danger, as if they were telling her to run away.

However, she ignored them as Mochi refused to leave with Ichiru. The mother and daughter pair watched as the pale and powerful form of Rido finally rose from the coffin. His tall figure loomed over Ichiru while his red-brown wavy hair that stopped roughly at his shoulders before his mismatched eyes of red and blue opened.

"Rido-sama...I have been waiting for your return," said Ichiru obediently before looking up indifferently. Rido started grinning like a mad man as he let the younger twin stab him in the ribs with his katana.

"Just...for the sake of it, "what do you mean by this?" said Rido before looking down at ichiru.

"I'm avenging Shizuka-sama, whose life was destroyed by you, and that's why I was looking forward to your awakening," replied Ichiru before Rido raised his claws to return the favor.

*CRASH!*

Suddenly, out of nowhere, two large flower beasts burst through the room, one with large exposed teeth, swallowing Rido in one gulp, while the other holding Mochi and Zero quickly scooped Ichiru inside to reunite with the rest of the family. It dashed out of the room before Rido cut open the flower beast effortlessly, just in time to see a faint sight of the other flower beast fleeing the coffin room.

"Hehe...such weak things, " said Rido in amusement, bringing his hand up to lick his honey-filled hand. "I can't wait to tear you apart little angel~"

At the same time in the Headmaster's office...

"I wanted to show the important people in our world, that not all vampires are frightening. I didn't want to use underhanded strategies to achieve this. I wanted them to see us eye to eye." sighed Kaien as he looked out of his office window.

"It's a shame...it almosted worked, considering that the idiotic students started getting all buddy-buddy with the nightclass vampires... you almost achieved your goal," said Toga before Kaien's expression turned serious.

"No...I haven't given up the hope. Zero and Mochi's relationship is the start of a change but I will not forget about the unspoken rule. "There is no right or wrong; killing vampires is not a sin" will be nulled. But right now, I have something to do..." he replied before removing his glasses and brought out his long un-used weapon.

Oh~!? Things are starting to get intersing~
