"Marcus Kane I'm gonna tell your mother!" She bellowed her face red with anger. He cowered back eyes wide, heart pounding. This wasn't what he excepted to happen.

"Please don't. I'm I'm I'm sorry!" He called out in a panic before running out the mess and down the corridor straight to his home. He jumped when discovering his mom sitting at the desk. Her eyes went soft when seeing her little boy and the tears he was trying and nearly failing to keep in.

"Oh honey what happened?" Marcus shook his head refusing to look at her.

"It was stupid. I was stupid." A tear had fallen.

"We're you following your heart?"

"It doesn't matter. She didn't like it. I made a fool of myself. I hate her!" Vera stood up approaching her son and pulled him into her.

"You don't mean that. You don't hate anyone. Including Abby." He jerked away looking at her.

"How did you know?"

"I'm your mother. Honey fair warning even if you like someone you can't just go around randomly kissing them."

"Yeah…it doesn't matter she doesn't like me." Vera gave an unseen smile above his head.

"I won't be so sure about that."

"What…wait really?!" Vera shrugged.

"Again I'm your mother I know things. It's a super power. Now chin up and help me get ready for services."
