"Hm... Well, it needs to have the word man in it somewhere!" Goten tapped his index finger against his lip as he became deeper into his thoughts. It was raised high into the air when a light bulb went off. "Ooh! How about Shadowman!?" The boy pressed his back against the wall of the abandoned mall. He squatted down low and did his best impersonation of a narrator.

"He creeps deep in the darkness to save your can. He is...the Shadowman!"

Gohan tapped his pen against his notepad with his tongue sticking out. "Nah. I like the 'man' part but I'm not really a creep in the darkness type of superhero. Let's see... Let's see..." The boy's tongue struck out deeper as the pen tapping increased.

"Hmmmm," Goten rubbed his chin and looked to partly cloudy skies for an answer. "You said you like 'man', so let's say a man-"

"Pause!" Gohan perked up and switched the pen over so the ink would be able to write onto the pad. "That actually sounds kinda cool. Say-a-man... But let's make it unique by adding a letter."

Knowing all of his letters by now but still working on the sounds, Goten peeped over his big brother's shoulder as he wrote ferociously. S-a-i-y-a-m-a-n. "Uhh Gohan does that still say 'Say-a-man?"

The teen nodded but was still unsatisfied. It needed some more...umph. As a light bulb suddenly went off in his head, Gohan quickly added two great words in front of Saiyaman. He held up his work proudly with both hands. "The Great Saiyaman!"

"The Great Saiyaman!" Goten copied him from behind. He said it a few more times before jumping up and down in excitement. "That's totally awesome, Gohan! They'll definitely make a comic book about you one day!"

Gohan chuckled under his breath and gave his brother a noogie. He used the boy's head as a way to help him stand up. The hero looked up to his father, who was giving him a thumbs up with the name he had finally chosen. "Alright Dad," he cracked his fingers and then pressed the button his watch. Within seconds, he was his alter ego. "Where should we start?"

Goku knew it was a bit premature, but at least his son seemed more confident than he had been since he returned. The former martial artist brought himself into his trademark fighting pose. It was hung gar stance with one fist pulled back to his side and one hand palm up. His legs were bent in a squat and his face was as serious as the day a four year old Gohan saw him beat Vegeta in the ring. Gohan mimicked the pose that he would practice in the mirror through his childhood up until his dad passed away.

"Good son, that's perfect form!" Goku's voice was calm and soothing, something that Gohan always loved about his form of training compared to Mr. Piccolo's. "Now, when you do the front stance high punch, do it as you normally would but shoot some of that blue energy out."

Gohan did as he was told, and was amazed by the power of the gloves that Bulma had built as it shot the beam of light up and burned a hole deep through the wall of the abandoned mall. As Goten was cheering in the background, Goku continued his instruction with Gohan. They were doing all of the movements Goku had embedded during his life time that he learned from Master Roshi, Piccolo, Vegeta, Tien, Krillin, and his own grandfather who was Gohan's namesake. They added in The Great Saiyaman's powers combined with traditional martial arts until the sons' stomachs started growling. The sun had set into night without them even realizing it.

"Does your head still hurt after you fell yesterday, Mama?"

"No, sweetheart. I'm okay. It's not everyday your son falls off a building and lives to tell about it," Chi-Chi was holding Goten's hand tightly as they entered the office of his new school. The son was dressed in their uniform colors of navy polo shirts and khaki pants, both of which were freshly pressed by an iron. She even put a little navy bow tie around his neck in hopes of a good first impression.

Goten chuckled under his breath something about his brother being awesome. He sat in one of the plush red chairs and kicked his little legs back and forth while his mom spoke to the woman behind the counter. This secretary was a lot prettier than the one at his old school because she actually smiled at him. He smiled back and waited impatiently for his mom to finish talking to her so he could meet his new classmates and teacher. He hoped that they weren't mean like the other kids.

His little nails dug into the arm rests. What if they were mean!? He'd have to dump wood chips down their pants again and punch them again and then Mama would be so disappointed again and then he might actually for real go to the Funny Farm and...

"Don't be so nervous, son! You're gonna do great!"

Goten turned his head to the right to see Mr. Pumpkin in his bright orange colors sitting next to him. That smile he always had on his face always made Goten feel better, but he was still too nervous to speak to him. He didn't want the new principal who would be coming out any minute to catch them talking, since that always got him into trouble at his old school. He whispered quietly but looked straight ahead at his mom's back.

"What if they don't like me?"

"Anyone who doesn't like you is a nut ball," Goten had to stifle his laughter with his hands pressed to his face at Mr. Pumpkin's words. "You're an awesome kid with the coolest dad, most beautiful mom, and your brother is a freakin' superhero! They're gonna love you! But maybe not mention anything about your brother being a superhero."

The child nodded his head sadly. His mom had already given him that lecture last night as he babbled on and on about Gohan's training. The one thing that would elevate him above the other first graders and he had to keep his mouth shut. His sad smile turned back into a happy one when he chanced a look at Mr. Pumpkin. "I can still tell them about you being a fighter, right!? The best one there ever was!?"

"Well," Goku's laugh was a mixture of amusement and cockiness as he flexed his muscles. "I wouldn't say I was the best, but..."

"Mama said you were!" Goten's eyes were bright as he looked into his father's eyes. "She said that they called you the king and were so happy you were going to be returning to tournament fighting! Look!" The boy removed his green backpack and pulled out a folder with dinosaurs all over it. He flipped through all the lined paper he would need for the day before finding what he was looking for. He held it up proudly to Mr. Pumpkin's eyes.

Goku's eyes scanned the flier and his smile only grew larger. It was the flier for the tournament he never lived to be part of. The top said, 'The King Returns'. It was the same one he had left out for Chi-Chi to find so she knew he was there. "Your mom gives this to you or did you take it?"

Goten held up a pinkie. It had to be serious for a pinkie promise to be involved. "She gave it to me! I asked her if I could show it to my new friends since we look so much alike!"

Goku gave him a pinkie promise in the air, not wanting to give him the chills right before his class started. He wanted nothing more than to hold on tightly to the son he never had a chance to give memories and moments to besides now. "We sure do, son. We sure do."

The boy put his folder back into his backpack and kept the bag on the floor in front of his feet. He was giving it a few kicks as he looked at Mr. Pumpkin with adoration. "I love you, Mr. Pumpkin!

If his heart was beating, the father's would ache so bad. "I love you too, Goten... But is there any chance you can call me Dad one day?"

"Hmmm...okay! I love you, Dad!"

Goku was going to say more, but a slender woman with straight brown hair and gentle eyes had entered through the door. He took it as an opportunity to escape through the opening. Goten looked into her eyes as she bent down to get on his level.

"Hi, you must be Goten!" her voice was as kind as her face. "I'm Miss Note, your teacher."

The child was red in the face in fear that she had caught him talking to Mr. Pumpkin. He was already messing up and he hadn't even walked into the classroom yet. He stammered over his words as his mother finally joined him with the principal by her side. "Wh-what are you doing here!?"

Chi-Chi growled lightly at his choice of words, but the principal and teacher released a chuckle. The principal wasn't bald like Goten's old one. He was chubby like Santa Claus but his head was full of red hair. He looked like a sweet old grandpa. "Your classmates are currently in the library so Miss Note was able to come get you herself! Isn't that nice?"

Still blushing, Goten turned his eyes back to Miss Note. "S-Sorry..." He was really hoping she wouldn't say anything to his mom about what she could have possibly seen or heard. Instead of addressing his mom, she pointed a manicured finger at the paper he had pressed against his chest.

"Is that a drawing?"

"N-No... It's a picture of my dad..."

Miss Note gasped. She kept her attention on Goten only. "Wow! Can I see?"

Goten glanced up at his mom, who nodded her head. The child sighed and reluctantly handed it over. Miss Note studied the man on the flier and the words that appeared all around him. She sniffed after awhile, and Goten wondered if she was going to start crying. She just blinked her eyes quickly and handed the picture back to him.

"I knew you looked familiar," she released a laugh that sounded sad. "My dad loved Goku. He had posters of him all over his house."

Goten's eyes widened in amazement. His last teacher didn't even know who his dad was! "That's so awesome! Mama wouldn't let me put posters of him up in our bedroom because it would make her sad but now-" the boy silenced himself, knowing that he was saying too much. Miss Note just kept smiling at him and offered him her hand.

"Would you like to walk with me to your new classroom so I can show you your desk and all your cool new books?"

"Books!?" Goten hopped off the chair and slung his backpack over one shoulder before taking her hand tightly. His eyes were wild with excitement. "I love books! Comic books are my favorite!"

"Yeah?" Miss Note looked down at him and smiled as the principal held the door open for the two. Goten was bouncing up and down.

"Yeah, yeah! Did you know my brother's a superhero!? Oops..." Goten covered his mouth with his free hand for a second. "I wasn't suppose to tell..."

Miss Note looked around suspiciously before whispering down at Goten. "It's okay, my brother's a superhero too!"

"WHAT!?"

Chi-Chi felt her heart flying out of her chest as she walked behind her son and his new teacher. The principal was giving her the run down of the school and what Goten's year would look like, but she was tuning in and out. All that mattered was that her son was being treated well and it looks like they were off to a great start.

After Goten had dropped off his supplies and gave his mom a tight hug goodbye, he and Miss Note disappeared around the corner to pick up the other students from the library. Chi-Chi shook hands with the principal, whose named turned out to be Mr. Clip. She thanked him for the wonderful tour and practically skipped to her car that had that even more wonderful new car smell in it. Her husband was leaning against it.

"You picked a great place, Chi-Chi."

"Yeah," her smile took over her whole face as they got inside the car. She put the key into the ignition but left the car in park. "I really did. I've never seen him that happy to be at school. His teacher played along with him and dismissed the whole superhero thing and his desk was LOADED with books and not those silly comic books but actual- Why are you staring at me like that?"

She had caught Goku's full attention. He wanted so badly to run a finger across the laugh lines her smile was creating and kiss those lips again in a way that she could feel everything he did in this moment. He didn't want to take her warmth away at the moment and he also wasn't sure who could be watching them through those office windows.

"Happiness looks beautiful on you."

Chi-Chi blushed as she set the car into reverse to get them out of the parking lot. After a few minutes she had found an empty park. She was able to give the love of her life as passionate of a kiss she could manage before returning to her seat shivering. "M-Maybe I should start wearing my winter clothes around you."

"As much as I want it to last, you won't need to worry about it much longer."

"What?" Chi-Chi's frown disappeared, causing her husband to wince. Sometimes he let too much slip out at the wrong time. "What do you mean?"

"Uh..." he was rubbing the back of his neck and avoiding eye contact now. Chi-Chi scowled. He always did this right when he was about to tell her he ate all the leftovers. Or when he said he was bringing his son to a death match. "I kinda went back to Cell early this morning when you were getting Goten ready. Somehow he knows I've been watching. He left a note saying four days."

Chi-Chi blinked. "Four days?"

"Four days."

The mother sunk into her seat with both hands on the steering wheel. She would only have four days left until her baby boy fought the man who killed her husband. Four days left until Gohan's victory would have Goku disappear for good. She inhaled deeply, and Goku thought she was about to rip him a new one. He was already beginning his plan of escape until her dainty arms wrapped around him tightly.

"Then I guess I better make this the best four days of my life," Chi-Chi spoke into his chest and then looked up at him. Her lips were beginning to turn blue. "I still have another two hours before I need to go to the bakery. Let's go home so I can put on warmer clothes. That way I can hold you as long as I can."

Goku kissed her forehead affectionately. "There's nothing I'd love more."

"Congrats, ball boy!" Videl patted the top of his head before sitting down beside him. "The list was posted outside the locker rooms just now. You made pitcher."

Gohan had recieved the phone call over the weekend that he had made pitcher, but his training against Cell had completely taken over everything in his mind. He cleared his throat and gave the girl next to him two thumbs up. "Haha, yup! Orange Star's new pitcher! That's me!"

Videl was eyeing him even more suspiciously than what she what she usually did. His hair was so messed up that he had those wild devil horns sticking out. He had dark circles under his eyes, his clothes were wrinkled, and he was slouching - all of those things highly unusual for the pristine boy who always had excellent posture. He just made the team's pitcher and his muscles were growing.

Was it steroids? Was that what he was on?

"You really need to kick the habit now before it's too late. I'm sure you're a fine ball player without the drugs."

Gohan shot her an incredulous look. "Drugs aren't cool, they make you look like a fool," when she rolled her eyes he added, "I'm just tired, okay? My dad's been pushing me to my limit."

Shoot.

"I thought your dad was dead?"

"Imeantmom," the words just came rolling out. He was doing his best to maintain eye contact with her but those sapphire eyes made him uncomfortable sometimes. He believed they were bullshit detectors. "My mom. She's a stickler for studying."

Videl nodded her head slowly as Gohan took a long drink from his water bottle. "Uh...huh. Am I going to meet your mom at the game tonight?"

Gohan spit the water out all over the back of the poor student in front of him. He held his hands up as a sign of apology and then looked at Videl with wide eyes. "Tonight!? What in the heck are you talking about!?"

Wow, this guy was really juiced up. She raised a thin eyebrow. "Why'd you think the try outs were so intense? You guys play West City right away tonight, home field advantage."

Gohan released a dramatic groan as his head dropped down harshly onto his desk. He hadn't listened fully to the voicemail left behind by the coach. He was planning on fighting a mannequin they had found in the dumpster tonight, not throwing baseballs around. It was insane how just a few days ago making the team was all he wanted. Now, he just wanted to defeat Cell.

"So," Videl pressed again and even gave his large shoulder a poke. "Am I going to meet your mom tonight or what?"

"Looks like it," his muffled voice remained down on the desk even as the bell rang. Various classmates came by to slap him on the back and congratulate him but the teen still didn't look up. If Cell didn't kill him, the stress he felt definitely would. Erasa sat down on Gohan's side opposite from Videl and looked at her best friend when Gohan didn't budge when she threw her books down.

"What's up with him?"

She mimicked the motion of injection into her arm and Erasa just mouthed 'oh' before bringing her attention back to their teacher. Videl had tuned him out as she looked down at Gohan. She didn't actually think he was a junkie, but that's the only explanation she had for now besides stress. Hm. Was it stress? She hesitantly placed her hand on his back and began patting it in various areas. She could definitely feel the knots.

"Gohan," she whispered harshly. "Gohan! Doesn't your back hurt?"

"Everything hurts," came his muffled voice. "Everything."

Videl actually felt bad for him. Teasing Gohan like this wasn't very fun. She was beginning to miss his old dorky self. "Since you won't have time to go home to the boonies before the game, do you want me to give you a massage?"

Gohan turned his head to the side so he could look at her. She was slightly hunched over so she could talk to him closely without being discovered. He was honestly surprised by her sudden kindness. "You're not trying to break my spine or anything, are you?"

"Not unless you want me to?"

"GOHAN! VIDEL!"

The two sat up completely straight. A post it note was stuck to Gohan's cheek as the teens said in unison, "Yes, sir!"

The teacher adjusted his glasses before clearing his throat. "Since you two get along so nicely together, I'm pairing you up for the diorama project." The man continued to list off other partners. Gohan thought Videl was going to complain, but she simply shrugged her shoulders and removed the post it off his face.

"At least my partner this time around is smart," she shot a look at Sharpener, who stuck his tongue out at her. She turned her attention back to Gohan, who was finally beginning to look awake. "We'll have to do it at your place. My dad doesn't let anyone onto the property for privacy reasons."

Great. Just what he needed. Another distraction. "Sounds good," he spoke through clenched teeth as he faked a smile. "Tomorrow?" The sooner they got it over with, the better.

"The sooner, the better," Videl agreed and Gohan wondered if for a split second she had read his mind.

"Okay, Mr. Piccolo. Sounds good. It'll be easier if you meet at my mom's house and then you guys can all come here together. We'll hang out after. Alright, bye!" Gohan handed Videl back her cell phone and the place slipped it into the pocket of her shorts.

"I can't believe you don't have your own phone yet."

Gohan remained silent for a moment as he laid down across the bench outside of the cafeteria. He only had thirty minutes before he needed to be out in the field getting ready for the game. Videl began pressing her hands firmly into his back as he spoke. "Never really needed one, I guess. I was home-schooled up until this year so I never really went anywhere. I use the home phone if I ever need to reach anyone."

Videl pressed deeper as she got closer to the areas where the knots were. When he winced, Videl rolled her eyes. "Calm down, it's going to hurt for awhile until it feels better. Give me your home phone number then so I can call you," she blushed and was thankful he couldn't see it. "You know, for the project."

"Yeah," he grunted. "For the project."

The girl didn't want to be caught slipping up, so she continued on with the project conversation. "Have any ideas on what we can do?"

"Well," Gohan grunted again she dug deep. God, how long do knots take to fix!? "It's suppose to be a recreation from any important moment in history. I'm sure we will think of something. I'm uh, I'm not very creative though. My little brother is the artist in the family. I swear that kid could make his own comic books one day."

Videl smiled when Gohan finally relaxed. "See? Told ya it wasn't so bad after," she continued to rub various parts to finish up. Ball boy needed to be with the others soon. "I forgot you had a little brother. How old?"

"Seven."

"Oh, wow! That's about the time Goku died, right?" She thought that she had messed up but Gohan finally answered.

"Yeah, he came a few months after," Gohan sat up once she felt his hands leave his body. He sighed out in relief as he moved his shoulders in rolls. "Ah! That felt amazing, Videl! Thank you! Maybe you'll meet Goten tonight. If you remember what my dad looks like, you'll easily point out Goten in the crowd. Okay, gotta go!" Giving a mouthful and then some, Gohan hugged her tightly without thinking of what he was doing and then ran towards the direction of the field. Thankfully he hadn't looked back or else he would've caught Videl checking out the back of his uniform pants with a red face.

"THAT'S MY SON!" Chi-Chi screamed at the top of her lungs. The popcorn in her hands as she stood up and cheered rained down on Piccolo's face. She dropped back down and punched him on the shoulder. "That's my son!"

"I would never have guessed," Piccolo muttered before brushing the popcorn off his shoulders. "He does look great out there. Yamcha gave him some good pointers." Piccolo never could resist throwing shots at his old friend. He could feel Goku glaring over Chi-Chi at him and chuckled darkly. Goten had somehow managed to crawl away from his spot on the bleachers to sit on Piccolo's lap. The boy never did understand personal space.

Goten was holding up an orange Styrofoam finger he had begged his mom to buy for him once he saw it for sale in the high school parking lot. He was jumping up and down on Piccolo's lap and screaming out his brother's name.

"Get off me, kid! You're not a little bean sprout anymore!"

Goten pretended not to hear him. He kept jumping up and down cheering wildly as Orange Star High's score continued to increase. He was too into a game he didn't understand that he didn't notice a girl with long black pigtails had slid up next to Piccolo. She was eyeing his green skin for a moment before the child glared at her.

"Hey! It's not polite to stare, you know!"

Embarrassed, Videl acted like she totally wasn't gawking a second ago and chuckled nervously. "You're Gohan's brother, right? I'm his friend, Videl."

Goten studied her face for a moment before tapping his mom on the shoulder. "Mama, this weird girl is Gohan's girlfriend."

"NO I'M NOT!" Videl was visibly flustered, and had tried to escape what was a very poor decision on her part when Gohan's mom was standing up now to get a good look at her. What she couldn't see was Chi-Chi's late husband begging her to go easy.

"Girlfriend, huh?" she crossed her arms over her chest and raised a thin eyebrow. It was hard for the girl to tell what exactly she was feeling. "Gohan never mentioned a girlfriend, before. Here I was thinking all he did at school was baseball and his studied."

Realizing who exactly she was, Videl stood up to defend herself. She mocked Chi-Chi's position. "I'm not Gohan's girlfriend! I'm just his friend. We actually were just assigned a project together so he wanted me to say hi to his family since I'll be seeing you guys soon, I guess."

Slowly, Chi-Chi began nodding her head in approval before reaching a hand out to her for a shake. "Oh, thank goodness you're just a friend! I can't imagine any girlfriend of my son introducing themselves like that!" she laughed as Videl finally shook. "What's your name, dear?"

"Videl," the girl responded. "Mind if I sit here with you guys?"

"Of course not! Gohan needs all the cheers he can get!"

Hearing the son's name explode from her lungs a few seconds later, Videl's eyes widened in surprised. His mother seemed to have enough cheer in her for the two of them. She sat with the family until Orange Star was announced the official winners of the night. Water was poured onto the coach who had nothing to do with victory and most people flocked to the popular members of the team. Gohan jogged his way through the crowded field to find his family and Videl on the bleachers.

"Hey!" he was grinning widely. "You found 'em!"

His mom snatched him up before he could say anything else to Videl. She kissed him all over his cheeks and forehead, leaving him covered in red kiss marks and a dark blush on his cheeks to match them. She was wearing that twenty-four hour lipstick too, the absolute worse. "Thanks Mom," he muttered but did his best to sound polite. He turned his attention to Goten and Piccolo. "Did you guys have fun?"

"Sure did!" Goten shouted while Piccolo said, "You did a great job, kid. I'm proud of you."

Gohan gave a grateful smile to the both of them and looked to his dad. Both of them knew they couldn't say much with Videl there, but Goku gave him a thumbs up and a smile to assure him that he'd be bragging about him later at dinner. Gohan touched Videl's arm before she could walk away. "I actually thought of a pretty cool idea while out there! Can I run it by you real quick?"

She was looking at his kiss marks before laughing. "Sure. Better not be lame."

"Never."

As Gohan and Videl stepped away to talk, Goten was begging Piccolo to take him to get some cotton candy before they closed up for the night. Piccolo grumbled under his breath but took the child by the hand anyway to bring him to the vendor. Chi-Chi watched Goten skip the entire way and tell Piccolo all about his day at school. She sighed happily and leaned her head against Goku's chest. Her head was protected by a warm hat.

"I wish we had more days like this."

"You will."

"You know what I mean," Chi-Chi said softly. "This is what I always wanted. The four of us and even Piccolo together. This is how it was suppose to be."

Goku wanted to argue with his wife that she could still have all of this, that he'd always be there watching them, but knew she meant she wanted him alive. He looked to his son and Videl, who were sitting awfully close on the bleachers below to be just friends. He snickered and changed the conversation. "Would you look at that? She reminds me so much of you."

"Yeah. I knew there was something about her that I liked."

In the quiet meadow beyond the trees that surrounded his home, Gohan was sitting with one legged crossed over the other in front of his father. In two days, the fight would take place in this exact location. After the body had been trained to exhaustion, it was time for the mind to work. Not remembering too much about meditation, Goku was the one leading this session. It made the teen wonder how often he did it in the old dojo he used to train with Uncle Piccolo in.

"Deep breaths, now close your eyes. Check in with your environment."

Gohan exhaled deeply as he shut his eyes. He inhaled the scent of damp earth combined with fallen leaves, and the sweet scent of pine lingered in between. The sun was kissing any exposed skin. Birds were gently flapping their wings. The teen's body was loosening as the nature around him calmed him down.

"What is most important in your life right now?"

The son continued to breath in and out slowly. "My family."

"How does it make you feel about protecting them?"

Gohan felt a shiver run down his spine and it wasn't from the presence of his ghost dad asking him questions. "I'm a little scared. But I'm ready."

"Keep your breathing steady, Gohan. You are more than ready. Picture yourself coming out on top... I can still hear you breathing unevenly. What's preventing you from achieving your goal?"

The son swallowed harshly. It had been on his mind for days. He rechecked in with his body and the environment around him before released his breath. "Because I know my father will be gone once it happens."

"Open your eyes, son."

Gohan did as he was told and saw that his dad had lowered his hands to his lap. Gohan did the same and remained cross-legged as his father was. Goku sighed deeply before nodding his head. "It's true that you won't see me anymore. But I'll always be there. I'll be watching all the time. I'll be in your memories and in conversations. How it was before I came to you."

The teen's breathing was increasingly uneasy. He wanted to cry, but wanted to be tough at the same time. "No, it's not going to be the same. Goten's going to have to feel what I felt when I was a kid and Mom and me are going to be losing you all over again..." he blinked his eyes harshly to contain the tears but they slipped out. He wiped them away furiously with his wrists. "It's going to be harder this time, Dad. I love you so much..."

Goku gathered his son into a tight hug, despite the teen momentarily struggling before giving into it. He cried silently into his cold chest while getting his back rubbed. "We'll be together again one day. I hope in a hundred years or more so you can enjoy a full life. Same with your mother and Goten. I'm not going to be in a hurry to be with you guys. I know it's hard, son, I know. But from that day seven years ago you knew it was going to be this way."

"I just didn't want..." when his voice cracked, he paused for a moment so he wouldn't break down completely. "I felt like we had a do-over or something where you were back for good and your death could be reversed."

The father held his son in his arms like he was that tiny child that watched him die. He continued to hold him tightly and rock him where they sat. "Life is cruel like that, Gohan. Please understand and trust me when I tell you I'll be with you forever. I'll always be that guiding hand you feel on your shoulder when things get tough."

Gohan nodded, unable to speak. There was so much he wanted to tell his dad, so much he wanted to do with him and show him and share with him. He just repeated what he had already said a million times. "I love you."

"I love you too, Gohan. Always."

A/N: Woo this has been getting tough to write. I LOVE writing this story and I am so happy I am finally finishing it, but at the same time its hard to write about death and loved ones when you're missing someone who has passed on. The next two chapters are going to be a bit heartbreaking, but bittersweet as life usually is.
