Jason and the others raced out of the compound, stopping only for a second when they felt the rumble of the ground. The original red ranger narrowed his eyes in concern as he felt a tremble of energy down his spine. Looking to his wife and the other Zeo rangers he could tell they felt it too.

"Something's going on back there," Adam muttered shaking his head.

"We should head back and help them," Rocky suggested as he bounced on the balls of his feet.

Jason was about to agree and charge back to help Tommy and the others but a small hand placed on his shoulder stopped him. He saw Kat shake her head and motioned to where the space rangers were, the message clear...

We have our mission.

Sighing Jason nodded and, fighting every urge in his body, turned away from where the four where.

"No we need to go help the space rangers, Tommy and the others have the royal family handled."

Adam and Rocky looked down but understood that Jason was right. Tanya gently took hold of Adam's hand and gave it a squeeze before the group started moving again. It wasn't long before they heard the sound of fighting coming from ahead and the rangers poured on the speed till they reached the opening. In the wide area that the team first entered through they saw that, somehow, more Cogs had came and the space rangers were still fighting, Andros clashing with Venjix.

"Looks like the party's still going," Devin remarked looking around.

"You guys help finish off the Cogs," Jason ordered glancing at the gold ranger, "the two of us are going to help finish off Venjix."

Trent nodded and gave a thumbs up.

"Right!"

Andros grunted as he parried Venjix's blades, stepping forward and grabbed a hold of the robot's wrist and twisting so that they were pointing away from him. Turning his back to the machine general the red space ranger proceeded to flip him over his shoulder and onto the ground before taking a couple of steps back to regain his breath. All around him his team continued to fight off what was left of the Cogs, a miniscule amount but enough to keep them busy so that they wouldn't be able to join him.

"Don't you think it's time for you to give up Venjix? After all you couldn't beat us last time either so why would this time be any different?"

Venjix grunted as he stood back up and dusted himself off. It was infuriating that these rangers were once again standing in the way of the Machine Empire. It was bad enough that he had failed in gaining revenge once, and by losing to a group of red rangers nonetheless, but this was just adding on to it. He couldn't - no he wouldn't, lose to these miserable humans.

"Laugh all you want red ranger," Vejinx growled, "but with the Royal Family's return it's only a matter of time before the destiny of the Machine Empire is made a reality."

"That's what you think!" Came a call, red lightning striking all around the general.

Looking towards where the attack came from Andros smirked as he saw Jason running over to him as well as...was that the Gold Zeo Ranger?

"Jason! And...Trey?"

"Trent actually," Trent explained to the confused ranger, "Trey is letting me borrow his powers for the day."

Andros couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head at that before his attention was once more brought to General Venjix. The machine warrior looked angry, if it was possible for a robot to look angry - especially one with no facial expressions, but the three rangers weren't worried. Andros chanced one more glance around the area to see how his team was doing and was pleased to see that the Zeo Rangers, both old and new, had teamed up with them to dispense of the rest of the Cogs.

'Good with this amount of ranger power we should be able to finish up here quickly,' Andros surmised before noting something, 'but...where's Tommy and his family?'

"Tied up," Jason remarked knowingly, "the last we saw them they were taking care of the Royal Family."

"Is it wise to leave them alone like that?"

"It's Tommy and his son, the wiser thing would be to get out of their way," Jason smirked, his fellow red ranger nodding.

"Hey guys can we focus on the irritated robot?" Trent asked pointing his staff at Venjix.

"Oh no, by all means please keep talking, it'll be the perfect distraction while I destroy you," Venjix retorted, firing an energy blast at them.

The three ducked out of the way and blitzed him, Trent firing his staff again while Andros and Jason attacked from the sides. Venjix deflected the bolt of energy and managed to fend off Andros before Jason landed an attack. Quickly rushing in, Trent launched into spin and struck Venjix with a hard blow to the shoulder, landing and striking him again with his staff and knocking him off his feet. The machine general managed to land on his feet and skid back a little bit, stabbing his blades into the ground to halt his movement.

Without pulling his blades out of the ground he unleashed an energy attack, arcing off the ground towards the rangers. Jason sneered as he saw the attack coming, ready to jump out of the way, when Andros and Trent stepped in front of him.

"Ground your weapon Trent," Andros ordered, stabbing his Spiral Saber into the concrete.

Trent stabbed the staff into the ground as well, and opened it up unleashing his own attack as a counter. Sparks flew between the two groups for a few seconds before the three were forced to pull back. Using the momentary distraction Jason jumped into action, kicking Venjix in the chest multiple times. Stumbling back the machine general trembled in anger and lashed out at the former red ranger, Jason stepping back quickly as the blades missed the front of his shirt by mere millimeters.

"What's he doing? Why isn't he attacking Venijx?" Trent asked watching the fight.

Andros watched the two closely, taking in each movement of the original red ranger was making and taking note of something. The original red ranger was moving Venjix, slowly so he wouldn't draw attention to it, into a position so that the three of them could attack simultaneously.

"I get it now," Andros muttered clenching his fist, "Trent get ready."

Just as the Red Space Ranger said that Jason flipped over Venjix and kicked him towards the two, Andros and Trent springing into action and hitting him with their own attacks. Trent cheered as Venjix hit the ground, Jason rejoining them as Andros shouldered his Spiral Saber.

"Now that was a hit," Trent chuckled high fiving Jason, "how did you learn to do that?"

"Years of training rookie," Jason shrugged, "now look sharp, it's time to end this."

Trent nodded and got back into a fighting stance as Venjix stood back up, sparks flying from a newly opened split in his side. Venjix could hear the whirl of gears in his head and saw the sparks coming from him, his vision turning red.

"This transgression will not go unpunished rangers."

Venjix roared as he fired an energy bolt at them, each bolt striking them hard. Panting, Trent was about to retaliate with his own attack when he heard Andros call out from beside him.

"Spiral Saber, Booster Mode!"

Venjix looked towards the Red Space Ranger and saw him level a weapon towards him. Clenching his fist the machine general noted that he had no way to get out of the way, so prepared himself to take the attack and hopefully deflect it back at them. Andros wasted no time in firing his weapon, Trent adding on to it with his own energy attack, and Venjix skidding back some feet from the sheer force. Grunting with the effort to keep the ball of energy at bay Venjix could feel his energy starting to drain from him and his gears start to jam up, his sensors were going crazy as well and he could finally feel his knees give out. In a final push to devirt the attack he roared out in anger once more and pushed up, the ball shooting up into the air.

"You...you won't...win," Venjix wheezed, struggling to stand up, "all of your fighting...will be for naught, the Machine Empire will be…"

"Oh give me a break," Trent grunted, using the energy from his staff to grab a hold of the former attack, "would you just shut up already!"

Bringing his arm down the energy followed, Venjix looking up and seeing the attack speeding towards him once more. The machine general tried to move but his gears refused to unlock, forcing him to stay there.

"No no no no no!"

The collision caused an explosion destroying the general, the three rangers sighing in relief.

"Well that's the end of Venjix...this time," Jason grumbled shaking his head.

"Is it me or was he easier to beat the last time?" Andros chuckled, Jason smirking and nodding in agreement, "Didn't need Cole to bust out that cycle of his this time."

"True that, now then let's go help…"

Trent cut the two of them off with a scream, the temp gold ranger collapsing to his knees and clutching his chest as his ranger outfit started to disappear and reappear on him.

"What's going on?" Andros asked confused.

"I think I know," Jason grunted kneeling next to the younger ranger, "Trent you need to demorph, now."

"W-what? No way I can't demorph now!" Trent argued looking up at him.

"I'm guessing Trey lent you his powers, but the thing is us humans aren't capable of extended use, it's hurting you."

Trent groaned as the powers surged again.

"D-damn it, POWER DOWN!"

With the sound of shattering glass Trent demorphed and groaned as he caught his breath. He felt drained but his energy was slowly coming back to him as he Dino Gem glowed and restored his power.

"Oh man I'm going to have to talk to Trey about not warning me about that," the white ranger huffed standing up.

The ground shook, all around them Machine Empire and Rangers trembled, falling to their knees or to their backs as they tried to keep their balance. Jason was on high alert as he looked around to pinpoint where the source was coming from when suddenly a second explosion erupted from the building. This was enough to make Jason stand up in fear until he saw Tommy, Kim, and Kira running from the building. A quick glance at each of them told the original red ranger all he needed to know. Something went wrong in their fight and now they were injured.

"Guys!" he called out running over to them.

He took Tommy's weight off of Kim, seeing the pink ranger sigh and noticing the original green ranger holding his side.

"What happened in there?" Andros asked helping Kira.

"G-Gasket," Kira gasped in pain, "we...we defeated...Mondo, Machina, and Acherina…"

"Then Gasket took Mondo's remaining power and became King Gasket," Kim finished as she looked back at the building, "I have to get back in there, Conner was trapped in the room with him, Gasket's gonna…"

"Oh no you don't Kim, you three are way too damaged to be of any help," Jason stated pulling her away from the building, "all three of you are heading back to the Astro Megaship and going to the medbay."

"And who's going to make me Jason?" Kim hissed at him, "My son is in there, fighting alone and…"

"I'm going to make you Kim," Kat replied walking over and grabbing her arm.

"Kat don't you…"

"Keep you from making a mistake? No I think I'll ignore that order," Kat cut her off, "you and I both know you'll be no help, we'll figure something out but right now we need to get the three of you healed."

Kim wanted to argue, to say that she'll be fine, but a look around at the others showed that they were all in agreement. Even Kira wanted to go back and help but she couldn't move from Andros' grip on her shoulder. Andros, reading the situation, glanced at the building and then down at the ground as he mind started racing with plans.

"I know what we can do," he spoke up, the other rangers looking at him, "come on let's get to the Megaship."

"What are you planning Andros?" Carlos asked following the red ranger.

"We're going to blow a hole into the building and give Conner some back up."
