Beta: The Lady Rogue

Albus, Lily and James Potter sat around an Ouija Board. It was funny, using this muggle device of all things. But their god-brother, Teddy Lupin, had changed it using a few magical spells. They just hoped it would work.

"Do you think this actually will work?" Lily asked, sniffing a little, scared.

"It better!" James said, irritated. If it didn't, well, their father would not be happy.

The three threw each other one last glance. Holding the hand tightly, they began following the instructions.

Only one thing was going on in their mind.

It better work…

When the pointer moved slightly, smile appeared on the faces that were plain for far too long.

"Mum?" Lily asked slowly. The pointer, on which James had placed the finger, moved to yes.

Lily almost began to cry when Albus asked, "How are you?"

G-O-O-D-W-H-A-T-A-B-O-U-T-Y-O-U

''We are fine, Mum,'' James said. ''But Dad…''

I-K-N-O-W

''He is not himself anymore.'' Lily sniffed. ''Please do something.''

W-R-I-T-E-A-L-E-T-T-E-R-F-R-O-M-M-Y-S-I-D-E

'Albus immediately grabbed some parchment and began scribbling down the letters as the pointer moved. When he'd finally finished, he realized he was crying.

"We miss you mom," he said, and a tear trickled down his cheek.

I-M-I-S-S-Y-O-U-T-O-O.

Y-O-U-A-R-E-A-L-L-S-O-S-T-R-O-N-G.

They talked, as long as it would be permitted.

And then pointed moved.

Goodbye.

Just like that, she was gone.

Harry was having a pretty normal day. He had woken up, made himself a cup of coffee and was about to get the newspaper when he saw it. A letter.

Harry looked around. The kids were still asleep and it had no stamps. He was sure an owl hadn't delivered it. So whose was it?

Slowly bending down, he picked up the letter. Opening the folds, he spotted Albus' handwriting. But it was the words that stung him.

Dear Harry,

Now, do not get angry. The kids just wanted to say goodbye. And they did. It was you who needed special attention.

It has been three months, and a day doesn't go by when I don't miss you. You don't know it, but I am always there, beside you, just like your parents and Sirius.

And I have seen you cry at night. I see that you miss me. And that you blame yourself. But honestly, there is no one to blame.

It was an accident. A freak accident. I wasn't looking and he was texting. I am not the only one who died.

There are many what ifs in life, Harry. Of all people, you know that. Please, do not mourn me.

I was disappointed with my funeral. It was so sad! Mum and Hermione…uhh!

Please, next year, I want a better one. Get George on it - he'll do me proud

Remember, I will always love you.

Yours forever,
Ginny

Tears dropped onto the parchment as Harry re-read the letter. He couldn't help but smile. Wiping his eyes Harry pocketed the letter and went on with his daily routine, just a little bit happier.

So, how was it?
