I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, the focus is still onn Ikusaba and her group as they attempt to get past the blockade, the secondary focus will be on Naegi and Akamatsu, as the tension intensifies as there will be a bit of HORROR scenes here…

Ch. 31: Yoru e no dasshutsu

Meanwhile the scene shifts at another house, where it showed that Enoshima is enjoying a quiet time as things are quiet as there are no zombies lurking and she just finished cooking dinner thus she called Yuta and told him that dinner is ready.

"Oh Yuta-kun…!"

"Yeah?"

"Come on down!"

"Huh?"

"Dinner's ready!"

"Really?"

"Yup!"

"Coming!"

The 13-year old boy nodded as he head to the dining room after doing some surveillance as he made sure that there are no zombies lurking around and there he joined Enoshima as they began to eat dinner and is amazed that she is a very good cook and commented that she can really make a guy happy, which the SHSL Fashion Diva raised an eyebrow.

She scooted closer to Yuta and asked if he is happy being with her, which made him blush and said right now he is, and she smirked before kissing him on the lips and tells him to keep that optimism up, saying that once everything return to normal she would DATE him which made him blush further.

"Really…?"

"Yup."

"…"

"You don't want to…?"

"O-of course I want to…"

"Then it's settled."

"Uh…okay…"

"Upu-pu-pu…"

Enoshima mentally snickered as she enjoyed deceiving Yuta, as she intend to discard him once she no longer have any use for him, as right now she needed him to keep her from getting bored and there the two teens began eating their dinner and the innocent younger boy enjoyed the meal and after that he washed the dishes and secured the doors and windows.

After that Yuta turned on the TV where a live news showed that a bridge that connects two cities is filled with fleeing, terrified residents and a squad of policemen who are being ordered to keep the people at bay, while the news crew and the reporter stated that they were not permitted to cross UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Yuta stared in disbelief at what he is watching while Enoshima mentally smiled at seeing the people falling to despair because they are afraid of getting eaten by the zombies and that the politicians and the law enforcers are acting foolish in preserving themselves rather than saving the people.

"What the heck…?"

"Hmm…?"

"Look at that…"

"Well, well…"

"Why are the cops…?"

"Perhaps the answer is obvious, Yuta-kun…"

"…"

By then the cameraman saw the approaching zombies and the terrified residents began to panic which pandemonium ensued as they began to scuffle with the police, who responded by hitting them with the baton to keep them back.

Yuta stared in dismay seeing that the police are dooming the people as the reporter spoke and continue to cover the scene until the zombies caught up with her and she screamed as she is being eaten alive while the cameraman managed to get to a safe distance before he videoed the scene where the policemen began to shoot indiscriminately, shooting even the residents before the policemen decided to flee the scene.

Enoshima then turned off the TV and said that this happens and that people who have no sense would end up doing that and tells Yuta that for the time being they will have to stay here and wait before making their next move.

"That's all we can do for now."

"…"

"At least we'll be safe for tonight."

"Yeah…"

"But by tomorrow we may have to move out."

"Where would we go then…?"

"We'll figure it out then…"

"…"

The younger boy nodded as he went to the bathroom to take a bath, feeling that it might help ease his discomfort after seeing the news, and wondered if his elder sister is doing fine, unaware that Aoi is safe and taking refuge at the Kuzryuu manor.

As Yuta grabbed a towel, he asked Enoshima if she wants to take a bath, and the SHSL Fashion Diva tells him to go ahead as she is taking a rest and tells him to take his time.

"Really?"

"Yup."

"Um…"

"Unless you want me to join you…?"

"Eh…?"

"Upu-pu-pu…"

"Um…"

"So…want me to join you…?"

At another area, Naegi and Akamatsu are appalled at seeing the live news, and wondered if the law enforcers are losing their common sense as they are more than willing to sacrifice people just to guard the area to prevent zombies from advancing, and Naegi did not like the fact that the police generals are resorting to this kind of tactic.

Akamatsu told Naegi that it cannot be helped as things spiraled out of control and now containing the pandemic is difficult to manage, especially now people are panic-stricken and maintaining crowd control is no easy feat.

"Look like even the police are losing it…"

"…"

"That's how it is now."

"Why…why would they…"

"They are lost…as their superior officers are too frantic to give a reasonable order."

"Still they shouldn't…"

"There's nothing we can do…let's eat now."

"Okay…"

As the two teens ate their dinner, both are now contemplating their next move as they knew that they cannot stay here for long as there is a possibility that zombies might assemble here and make escaping near impossible, and as Naegi peered through the window, he is surprised to see a dozen zombies are assembling in front of the gate, and he turns off the light as he tells Akamatsu of the situation.

The SHSL Pianist nodded and said that she is ready for anything, but then her radio began to stir and as she answered it, she got an unexpected call, as the caller turn out to be Kibo, as the robot is seen flying above looking for her and Naegi, and there Akamatsu told Kibo of their location.

Kibo then told Akamatsu that he might have difficulty in finding her given so many houses, and there he suggested that she and Naegi get onto the roof and make a light so the he could find them.

"You want us to go to the roof?"

"Yes."

"I see."

"Then flash your flashlights. That way I will be able to pinpoint your location…"

"I see."

"Can you do it?"

"Sure."

"Then do it."

Nodding, Akamatsu said she will, and there she told Naegi about it, and as the Luckster contemplated, he heard the sounds of the gate of the house they are staying has been breached, and there he saw the zombies are slowly making their way through and began banging on the door.

"They got through!"

"What? Are you sure, Naegi?"

"We better do as what Kibo say…!"

"You're right…"

"Come on!"

"Okay."

"Here's the flashlight…"

"Thanks!"

He and Akamatsu began using furniture to block the door to buy them time, and somewhat worked as the two teens went upstairs and head for the bedroom before locking the door, and opened the window to climb up. As Akamatsu is climbing the walls toward the roof, Naegi began using the bed to block the door, and there he can hear the bedroom door being banged until a visible crack formed, and he realized that the zombies are making their way through.

He went to the window where Akamatsu tells Naegi to climb up, and the Luckster nodded as he began to ascend, and as he did so, he can hear the zombies moaning as they partially got through, and he became nervous as he frantically climbed the wall leading to the roof as the moans of the zombies became louder and louder.

"RRROOOAARR…"

As the two teens are on the roof, Akamatsu gave Naegi a flashlight and he uses it to make flashing signals so as to alert Kibo of their location, and about five minutes later, the robot arrived, and tells them to hold on tight as he will fly them out of here and head back to the Kuzuryuu manor.

Kibo said that the rest of the Hope's Peak students are safe and this made Akamatsu and Naegi feel relived at hearing this as Kibo tells them that the two are the only ones remaining that needs to be saved, and now he will bring them over to the Kuzuryuu manor.

"Really?"

"For real?"

"Yes. Your classmates are safe and sound."

"That's great!"

"Thank goodness."

"We're not off the hook yet. We need to get away from here."

"Okay."

"Lead the way."

"Hold on tight."

Kibo then contacted Iruma, and he notifies her that he successfully retrieved both Naegi and Akamatsu, which Iruma raised her fist up and proclaimed that she made the best invention in the whole of Japan, while class 80 is glad to hear this, Chabashira is worried since Naegi is with her, and there she asked Iruma if Naegi did anything indecent towards Akamatsu.

Saihara assured to her that Naegi would not do something like that, but the SHSL Aikido Fighter is not buying it and tells Saihara that she will order Kibo to drop Naegi off so that he will never try groping Akamatsu, which made Maizono stare in annoyance, and asked Chabashira why would she say that, and Chabashira said that boys are all the same: they are maniacs.

Maizono twitched her eyes at hearing this, and Saihara took offense, telling her that her view towards boys are rivaling to that of being xenophobic, but Chabashira said that boys are the same and she will see to it that the boys here are thrown to the zombies, and this caused her and Saihara to bicker among themselves.

"Are you really that serious?"

"Yes!"

"Do you really hate boys that bad?"

"From the bottom of my heart!"

"You really are crazy!"

"But not to the point of being a sex maniac…which you boys are!"

"We're not!"

"You are!"

At the skies within the city, Naegi and Akamatsu can hear the bickering via the radio and the Luckster wondered why Chabashra is so ticked off, but the SHSL Pianist promised that she will talk to Chabashira and convince her that boys are okay and that she will straighten her out so that she won't be afraid of boys around her.

Kibo then tells her and Naegi to hold on and hold their breaths as he will fly as fast as possible, which the two teens nodded in reply and tells him to do it as much as possible.

"Really?"

"For real?"

"Yes. So hold your breaths."

"I see!"

"Oh dear…"

"We're going to fly fast as possible…"

"Okay."

"Lead the way."

"Hold on tight."

As Kibo began to fly fast, both Naegi and Akamatsu held their breaths as the trio flew fast, and there they can see that zombies on the ground are everywhere and they can see them attacking their prey, and it was despairing to see and many victims are screaming for help, and some screamed louder as they are being eaten alive.

"AAAAIIEEE!"

"GGGYYAAAHHH!"

"AAARRRGGGHHH!"

"HELP!"

"AAAAIIEEE!"

"GGGYYAAAHHH!"

"AAARRRGGGHHH!"

"HELP!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Naegi and Akamatsu managed to find a placed to stay for the night, after spending hours being on the run, and now they are in a bind until Kibo managed to find them and the trio are on their way back to the Kuzuryuu manor to rejoin the rest of the escaped Hope's Peak Academy survivors…
