Warning- Very vague mentions of rape when we get into Naruto's mind-scape. If you want to skip it but want to know what happens, leave a comment or message me and I can sum it up or give you a version without it being mention.

Two weeks later-
Whilst Shisui was pleased to finally be home and be able to look after Naruto properly, he was vexed that it meant he had to take up his role in the police force whilst he remained in the village without mission.
He could pull out the technicality card, explaining that coddling and making out with his girlfriend was technically part of his mission to ensure her safety and happiness but he would use that card when it was up against something he really hated.
Like if he had to work directly below Koharu or Homura. That was never going to happen.
Things in the village were thankfully quite calm and no one seemed to be acting out minus a few idiots who thought the newly signed alignment of the five kage was a terrible idea.
The justification for their decision was that they had lost loved ones during the war and demanded compensation. Of course, they had been reminded that the other nations had also suffered such losses and if they wanted compensation, they were free to go look for it. If they do so, they would revoke the citizenship/shinobi rank and be marked either a rogue or be banished. This had quickly shut them up.
It didn't stop them from being idiots on occasion and Shisui glared at the one who had been brought in. "You understand that you've just caused me unnecessary paperwork and over-time, right?" he asked the guy in front of him who snorted and shrugged.
He gave the Uchiha a smirk and spoke up, "Do I look like I care? You and your idiotic clan with your stupid eyes need to be doing far more for the village, especially since you don't run the police force."
At this, Shisui quirked a brow, "The Uchiha do run the police force, it's just now we are able to enter other sectors of shinobi forces. Which means anyone who qualifies can become a member of the police force. There's even a civilian sector which no one seems to want to take part of. I find it very funny that civilians such as yourself and very willing to slander the names of shinobi but are not willing to put your lives on the line for us when that is what we do for you."
Before he could say anything else, he felt his girlfriend's chakra but kept staring at the dark blue haired civilian. One of her arms wrapped up his chest from the back and the went around his torso as he leaned her chin on his shoulder. He mentally mused that she was either wearing heals or was tip-toeing because she was technically a whole head shorter than him.
"Aren't you coming home?" she asked in a husky tone that sped up his heartbeat and he knew she knew that.
"I've got to deal with this first I'm afraid, hime." He replied, glaring at the teen who simply rolled his eyes.
Naruto hummed and nodded before moving her head and yelled, "Hey Kazuo!"
Said chunin looked up from the documents he had been handed and gave her a slight bow as he reached, "Yes my lady?"
"No need for that, we were in the same class remember? Besides, can you take over Shisui? His shift ended like 45 minutes ago and I want my pillow home." She pouted, causing several people that knew the couple well to chuckle.
"Of course. Just allow me to be briefed by Shisui before he goes."
One very quick briefing later, he managed to get free and returned home to Naruto's apartment. As soon as they got there, she dragged them to the large L shaped sofa in the living room and laid down, dragging Shisui on top of her so his head rested on her chest.
"I'll be your pillow today. In fact, I'll be at your beck and call for the next 24 hours." She whispered into his ear and he smiled, snuggling further into her chest as he held her close to him.
"Wake me up in a bit. No more than an hour." He mumbled.
"Your wish is my command." She replied teasingly which was the last thing he heard before he fell asleep.
.
.
.
One hour later, Naruto dutifully woke her boyfriend up with a hot pile of pancakes and drizzled chocolate that her shadow clone had made.
Although, she mused, she wasn't sure if it was the food or her that had actually woken him up. Slowly he disentangled himself from her overly warm and comfortable body in order to actually provide the nutrients he needed, not wanted.
As he ate, he made sure to shower his lover with praises over her excellent cooking to which she reminded him that is was because she's been cooking for herself for many years.
The light banter soon fell into a comfortable silence as Naruto leaned against Shisui. She looked better, even though she didn't look bad before. This break from active duty had been exactly what she needed and he'd be damned before he let anyone interfere with it.
"Do you want to go on a trip to Suna? We could go to Kiri next." He suggested and he looked at him quizzically, "You're on holiday so I can just inform the hokage that you wish to leave the village for a trip and I'll be removed from all other duties."
She smiled and responded, "I still can't believe that during the summit you said I was your priority and not the hokage- and lived to tell the tale." She chuckled.
"You are and you always will be. My clan be damned, Konoha be damned, everyone and everything in the five nations be damned. You're the only one I'd burn my clan for if you asked me to and return to you smiling as if you gave me a gift. You've given me love and joy more so than anyone else in my life has and you should know it." He looked her straight in the eye and her breath hitched when she realised he was serious.
"I don't think I-" she began but he interrupted her.
"You have. Ever since we were in the academy. Sure, you didn't speak to me for a while but that was because of my sharingan eye you had no control over. After that, you became the very centre of my world. If I went to my aunt's house, you were what we spoke about. If I was talking about my day to dad, you were the main topic. In the academy we were always paired together and even as a genin team we were together. You gave me far more memories to look back on than my own father." He spat out the word as if it was poisoned.
Naruto felt particularly guilty about that. Her own twisted future had left a bitter taste in Shisui's mouth and that taste became foul when he saw his own father seemed to be no better than the Uchiha clan elders who demanded more and more.
He had moved out of his family home and estate. When his father had mentioned this to Fugaku, he had explained his family problems with his father. Of course, no one in his clan knew he had moved in with his girlfriend, which included his things as well as helping to pay the rent.
Thanks to Naruto owning the apartment on the official documents, the clan had no way of finding out where he actually lived and they couldn't follow him since he could just shunshin away.
She smiled, hoping to better his mood, "Okay. Suna, this way I can see Gaara and his siblings then we can go to Kumo to see Bee. I was too ill to really socialise at the end of the summit."
He frowned thinking about it. He never was told what the reason for her suddenly falling ill was. He most certainly did not believe it was due to her being tiered.
He bit his lip before activating his sharingan and entering her mindscape.
When he entered, she wasn't there at first but she must have noticed something and went in a few moments later.
.
.
'Why are we in my mindscape exactly?' she asked cautiously. She had a feeling she wasn't going to like where this was going.
Instead of answering her, he simply wrapped an arm around her waist, drawing her to him as he yelled, 'Kurama, I need a word!'
She felt a rock form in her stomach, she really, really didn't like where this might be going.
'What did you want Uchiha?' asked a grumpy looking Kurama. He looked as if he had been woken up from his nap, which was probably the case. The lazy butt.
'Since Naruto refuses to tell me why she was ill I was hoping you'd be able to tell me.' He answered.
Kurama squinted at the Uchiha, 'I suppose if I do not answer you then will you use your eyes to compel me?'
Shisui shrugged, 'It's not like it violates our agreement, right?'
Naruto couldn't believe what was going on and no matter how much she glared and protested that it wasn't important, neither of them seemed to be paying much attention to her.
'Why are you so keen to know, Uchiha?'
'Her safety means everything to me, which includes her health. I need to know what was wrong in order to prevent it from happening again.'
Kurama raised a non-existent brow, 'I suppose you could stop it from happening if you stop having unprotected sex.' He replied dryly.
'What?'
'Kurama please don't.' that seemed to draw his attention as he turned to look at her.
'If you do not have it in you to tell him then I shall have to do it for you. Your decision to keep this a secret affects your health and thereby me.' He turned back to Shisui and she clenched her eyes shut, 'She had a miscarriage. She had been unaware she was even pregnant however she miscarried just before you all arrived in the Land of Iron. The reason she had miscarried was because of the trauma to her inner biology when she was a child.'
Shisui was silent for a few moments as he absorbed what Kurama said and she felt him nodding as he held her tighter to him, 'Naruto, open your eyes.'
She opened them, remembering she had promised him to do whatever he asked of her. He raised his free hand to cup her cheek, slowly tracing her whisker marks. When he finally spoke, it was slow and reassuring, 'I'm not mad that you didn't tell me. I am a little upset but I know that I don't need to know everything. I would have preferred to know and hear it from you but in the end that doesn't matter. I will never fault you for anything, even a miscarriage. These things happen. Look at my aunt Mikoto, before she had Sasuke, she had miscarried maybe three times during the war period and she had only known she was pregnant one of those times. I love you and this doesn't change a thing, okay?' She nodded her head, unable to say anything as she cried. She wasn't upset, she was beyond happy to know he was still here and he was staying, even after hearing about all that. Technically now should have been the best time to mention the whole Kakashi thing but she knew that Kakashi needed to remain an absolute secret. Not only because it could rock their relationship, but because he was working as a spy for her.
He held her to his chest as he looked at Kurama, nodding his thanks as he used his sharingan to force the two of them out of her mindscape.
.
.
She was still clutched to his chest crying when they emerged in their shared living room and Shisui felt bad about how he had gone about this. He repeated that it was for her that he had dug deep into this matter and maybe if he repeated it enough, he might just believe it.

The next day.
.
Minato should have seen this coming. He should have known that Shisui was a terrible person out to take his daughter away from him.
The jonin had just come into his office and stated he needed to go to Suna with his daughter then to Kumo when Minato and Shisui knew damn well she wouldn't have come up with the idea on her own. She could have, but she wouldn't have said it.
Meaning, Shisui had persuaded his eldest daughter to go on a vacation to two foreign nations. Unsupervised.
Minato realised he was being stupid and irrational. They were both technically adults and could look after themselves. There was the added fact that Minato knew his daughter had previously had a very active sex life. A sex life that had included his student but he likes to pretend that never happened. For two years. In locations including his office.
Alas, whisking away his daughter was something he didn't want to allow however, without proof, Minato had no choice but to allow Shisui to go with his little girl- even if she was technically the same age as Minato.
Once he signed the documents, Shisui thanked him and bowed before leaving. A few minutes after the Uchiha left he shouted for his assistant, "I want the police force, ANBU, T&I and all necessary branches to know that Shisui Uchiha is leaving to village for his usual mission to guard my daughter till further notice. Now." He practically growled out between clenched teeth causing the poor girl to squeak and bowed before leaving to do just as the hokage ordered.
Minato turned his seat around to gaze at the village. Ever since he found out the boy who he had appointed to protect his daughter was sleeping with her, he had been furious. At first, he thought it was a fling till he had been reminded by Shikaku of the words Naruto had used. She was deeply in love with him and vice versa.
It had calmed him slightly, but not enough. He had placed a trust in Shisui that he had not given to any other shinobi and it had felt like a betrayal of that trust.
It wasn't as if Shisui was a bad person to date. In fact, Minato preferred him to his own student due to Kakashi's mental state and detachments. Shisui was also a very decent boy who had done Minato no wrong.
Well, he had broken his oath by keeping Naruto's past a secret but Minato was no fool, he knew Shisui's loyalty was to Naruto and not Minato, nor the village.
He was certain that if Naruto decided she wished to leave the Land of Fire and move to the Land of Wind, he would pack both of their things and be at the gates within a few hours, fully packed and paperwork completed.
That did not mean he didn't complete his duty, if nothing else, Shisui completed his duty as well as Minato had when he was the boys age.
If it wasn't for obvious reasons, Minato would keep Shisui in line for his successor to the title of hokage since he knew his daughter did not want it.
Minato still trusted the boy with his life, he just didn't believe he would be priority one to the boy should he have to choose between Naruto and him. The thought should have made him want to have the boy retrained and loyalty set back to the hokage but he knew this was a possibility when he first appointed the life-long mission to the Uchiha.

Iruka couldn't think of anything more boring than being on ANBU guard duty in the archives and briefly wondered why he had agreed to the assignment. Ah yes, guarding the archives gives you excellent pay, far higher than Konoha patrol duty.
All he had to do was make sure no one took books they shouldn't be privy to and ensure no one read scrolls they were not privy to. Of course, being a member of ANBU he was able to read quite a few of them if he so wished and he made use of that.
However, if he dared even open something he shouldn't, he wouldn't be marked a rogue faster than you could say bunshin.
ANBU duty was fun occasionally however for the most part, it was tedious. As a member of Team Ro, he found the proteges that managed to graduates a year early and be accepted into ANBU cocky.
Very few were allowed to graduate the academy early anymore, and if they did, it was only one year early. They still took D-ranks and trained with various teams to ensure loyalty and camaraderie.
What he found to be stranger, was said annoying teammate was currently looking up the Uzumaki archives. Iruka tallied up what the boy was allowed to read and decided he shouldn't be reading up other clans' techniques without an official seal from a shinobi who was of jonin rank or above.
He silently shunshined behind the boy and hit the pressure point in the back of his neck and made sure to paralyse him poison lased senbon. It was harmless in small doses, only being able to knock a person out for several hours.
He carried the boy over his shoulder with the book he was reading in his storage pouch as he made his way to the hokage. He had made sure on his way to inform the archivist- a former hunter-nin who was injured during duty- what had happened and where he was going.
He shunshined whenever he was in highly populated areas to avoid looks or suspicion but knew he wasn't able to do many, unlike his two genin teammates.
Iruka mentally sighed as he though about them. He saw Shisui enough during ANBU duties however seeing Naruto was a different thing entirely. Everyone in the village saw her clones but seeing the real her was a sight to beheld in recent months. Perhaps that now she was on vacation and the peace treaty was signed they could see more of her. Iruka hadn't the heart to go see her lest it ruin her down-time.
Iruke made it to the hokage's office mostly undetected and thanked his lucky stars both Kakashi and Tenzo were out of town or he'd be in for a right lecture for his sloppiness.
Minato merely raised an eyebrow as the new recruit for Team Ro was hazardously placed on the floor. Iruka answered his unasked question by handing the book over to the hokage.
Minato's gaze darkened as he looked at the book. It was information on all those that remained of the Uzumaki clan- information gathered by Naruto and her spy network. There had apparently been many survivors from Uzushio who had managed to flee before Kiri and Iwa managed to attack during the second war.
Iruka kneeled onto the ground as he began his report even though the hokage hadn't yet asked, "I found Panda in the archives approximately 18 minutes ago, wondering the archives at first. As he is a member of ANBU I did not find it immediately suspicious however when he entered the clan section I became on alert. I had initially assumed he was looking for information on clans outside of Konoha and I was correct, he was looking for information on the Uzumaki clan.
"However as he is only a new recruit- having graduated from the academy early and just losing his mentor in a recent attack by rogue ninjas- I knew he wasn't privy to the Uzumaki clans information and hit him in the back of his neck then pierced his upper arm with a paralysing poison laced senbon.
"I started to make my way out of the archive, being sure to inform the Archivist what had happened. On my way I used a few shunshin and tried my best to avoid being seen, however as it is the middle of the day, I cannot be certain that no one saw me." His head was low as he looked at the passed-out boy.
"Well done, Dolphin. Take him to your old team back in T&I, I believe they would enjoy your visit." Meaning, take him to Ibiki, Anko and Shizune and enjoy.
The medic was also a part-time member of T&I, similar to Anko who worked for ANBU as well however Shizune worked the hospital. The dark-haired girl was scarier than Anko given her medical knowledge.
Iruka nodded and left to do just that, knowing he would get to enjoy himself before the interrogation thanks to the poison.
.
.
.
"Okay so apparently, the red lady runs some super famous brothel in one of the red-light districts somewhere near Tenchi Bridge." Darui informed Naruto and Yagura and the blonde sighed.
"Lady Hibara." Spoke a resigned Naruto. Things just got more difficult.
The two males looked at her shocked, "You knew her identity, Lady Namikaze?" asked Yagura, ever the polite one.
"Baki from Suna mentioned her several months ago and when I was going around the nations getting merchants and others to sign the agreement, I asked her to sign. At the time, she was running a small trades business however in a matter of a month it's grown exponentially. Of course, she declined my offer. I found it suspicious but had no other intel on her at the time."
"So, you have more on her now?" questioned Darui and she nodded gravely.
"Yagura, do you remember the former ANBU commander for Kiri?" the boy nodded and she continued, "I asked him to re-join the forces and an undercover operative for me several months ago. I have him under a blood henge which can only be undone by me or him and had his false identity created. He is listed in every bingo book as Kazuma. Last name unknown and a former member of Kumo. It didn't take much to get the Raikage to agree as well as the Mizukage. Then afterwards all I had to do was inform the other kages of this development.
"He's marked as a S-rank rogue shinobi with a very high bounty. Flee on sight order. I gave him one of my more unknown businesses to run and he has managed to corrupt it exactly as planned. He was also able to infiltrate the gang we discussed several months back and said they tend to hold meetings in one location. Can either of you guess where?"
"The brothel." They replied in unison and she nodded.
"It's not going to be easy. From what he has managed to tell me, the group go by the name of Byakuren- meaning white lotus. They have at least three high ranking rogues from each of the five nations from A to S rank. They also have several B ranks. Only one S rank from Konoha who has been a rogue far before I took over intel gathering thankfully." The two let out sighs of relief.
It wasn't that Konoha was overly powerful compared to the other nations, arguably Kumogakure had the strongest shinobi and most durable however Konoha had the power of knowledge. High ranking shinobi especially knew a lot of information that could crumble the nations as they had access to several documents and scrolls.
Intel that Naruto gathered was either unavailable to the public or only allowed to be seen by high ranked shinobi. She had recalled a time where hardly anyone was allowed to read classified information and because of this, valuable information died with people and no one would ever find out.
"Update both of your kages. I'll update the Tsuchikage, Kazekage and Minato." They nodded and Naruto hiraishined them both to their respective villages undetected as she slowly made her way back home, Shisui should be back from the hokage office soon.

A/N I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, slightly longer than my usual but never mind.
Also, I realised I never thanked everyone in the last update for your kind words and support. I understand this is a difficult time for everyone and I'm thankful everyone is being kind about it and not toxic.
Also, it seems ANBU Naruto has taken the lead so far, however should I have Naruto a red-head or blonde?
Don't forget to comment or review! Stay safe and I'll see you next time!
