A pair of droopy ears and warm brown eyes stared at him. Haruka was not impressed.

"No."

"Yes."

Gou had a pleading tone that she only used when she really, really wanted something. It often ended in tears so Haruka relented, "Maybe."

Having a dog wouldn't be too bad.

Gou was already finalizing the papers, "Great!"

He frowned. He hadn't said yes.

"Be careful with giving him a bath," The volunteer at the front warned them, "He gets frisky."

Haruka paused, "You mean he doesn't like water?"

"Well, yes. Some dogs don't."

Haruka scowled.

Just great.
