Author note I own nothing. It is my plot. Let us just say I'm angry and leave it at that. If you want to know why to check the final note. On with the chapter.
Jaune's Perspective
This morning has been a whirlwind, even though I had been settling into the routine. Wake up, be trained to near exhaustion. I've only been here for just two days, but I had started to settle in. Monday morning starting out brighter getting used to Ruby being the first person I see in the morning when I wake up each morning. Considering I was kind of stuck in the memory of the dream I had last night.
It was so vivid the dream felt so real! A swirl of colors all around him, he was chasing something that he could not really see. He could hear giggling and the way the flashing of color seemed to flirtatious. He felt a sense of joy in a way he had never felt in this way before. Like I did not care; I just want to catch that thing. Whatever that thing is essential. I do not care if the world is laughing, whether at me or with me. That thing is worth it if I run fast enough to catch it. I felt my heart race I was so close! I could feel my heart racing, and I felt so alive if I could just get to…
Well, I didn't finish the dream since Ruby woke me up. And once the blur in my eyes seems to fade first thing, she did was give me a message from her father who was in the kitchen waiting for him. She let me know that come tomorrow morning? That I better be ready to get up at 5 am since her father made it clear? That if I couldn't get up on my own, I would regret it. A chill is running down my spine because of the threat in question. If I'm worn out now, I don't want even to imagine what the punishment training could be.
Then I spent all morning going through similar motions of the day before. Still, I noticed slight overheard while going downstairs a morning news report made Yang get a somewhat stuck face and Mr. Xiao Long decided to speak to her quietly and privately. But I heard enough to assume that there was a giant fight at whatever club she went to last night.
While Mr. Branwen is a bit of taskmaster harsh and demanding as an instructor, Mr. Xiao Long is right drilling, making sure that every stance every pose is as natural to me as muscle memory. He is all about making sure that I know what I need to know. The words "just because Ruby took a shine to you? Doesn't mean it's going to be easy" are still ringing in my head. But he is kinder in execution at least there's that.
Since I woke up this morning, there was a wicked smile on everyone's face other than Ruby, who had a genuine smile at least until she went back down the workshop. What were her whole expression changed, and it was like seeing a whole different side?
Where she took food with her somehow able to care, the smiling as she left turned manic with glee. Sparing no one a backward glance or acknowledge anyone or saying good morning to anyone at the table. While she had been bubbly excited to wake me up and it was a shock to see her acting like this. Ruby had been very welcoming and kind; she was usually spent some time at the breakfast table before going to the workshop.
She almost seemed like an obsessed gremlin, the way she practically sprints out of the room. Everyone at the table minus me barely acknowledged it. Just sipping from their drinks and acting like its find until the door closes on the workshop. Since Mr. Xiao Long, Yang, and Mr. Branwen seemed to smirk at her exit. I was slightly shocked at her behavior, usually spending time enjoying her breakfast. Yang was barely holding back a laugh at my face. If her covering her mouth and the hissing was anything to go by. She was finding a second to control herself. She settled into her seat. Taking to her breakfast with a lot of enthusiasm eating faster than everyone and taking the rest with her.
"Well, she seemed pretty spacey this morning," Mr. Branwen, as he demanded I call him for his part said in an almost laisse-faire way.
"Well, Ruby is nearly done with her special weapon for the rookie here," Yang said with air having seen the weapon in question.
"It's a miracle we saw her at all to be perfectly frank." According to the mock whisper from Mr. Xiao Long.
"She must be nearly done if she is taking her meals down to the workshop with her," Yang said.
"You are not wrong; she respects the workshop too much to bring food unless she's nearly done." Mr. Branwen shakes his head. Looking at Mr. Xiao Long seeming to agree with his statement.
So, she takes food down, which means she did not want to have any breaks or to slow down in way or shape?
"All you can do is wait on the maestro to finish her masterpiece," Yang said with a smile and a fancy Mistralian accent. I was halfway through breakfast, taking a sip of the orange juice glad in away.
"Now come on runt me and Tai are taking turns training ya today, alright?" Mr. Branwen said gruff and annoyed as usual since I have known them. Mr. Xiao long, dragging me away from the half-eaten breakfast. Considering the day ahead probably for the best, I would probably puke it all from overexertion anyway. I thought to myself with a mental sigh.
"Sir, yes, sirs!" I said in salute. To them, they are my superiors, and it was a way to show them respect.
"Now see here kid today is going to be a bit of a hodgepodge of different techniques were going to put you through today. Someone forgot that we need do a barometer of your levels general endurance aura levels, strength and weight that can be lifted, and few other things we need to know in order to train you properly." Mr. Branwen said with cold and logic to his voice.
"Sorry about that, Qrow. It's been a while since I had a green recruit at his age." Mr. Xiao Long says with a smile one arm behind his head bashful look on his face.
"I figured you might be that way, and I came prepared for that! I went to Signal and borrowed a few more teaching aids for tomorrow and some for today. That is something that I know that you overlooked. That he needs to know before he steps on the airship to Beacon Academy." He said with a shake of the head. Feeling the shiver, if Mr. Branwen has more ideas and pearls of wisdom to impart, it is going to be a hard lesson to survive through. Well, tomorrow, I will be lucky to be able to walk my way to my room.
"I got the perfect teaching aid with me for this! Listen up, kid. This is what we use on combat students when they are first admitted. We want to make sure they are improving and doing the routine. It will send the results to my laptop, and we can figure out how to have you improve enough that no one will notice how new you are to all of this."
"I got teaching aid with me for this is something. We use this on combat students when they are first admitted; we want to make sure they are improving and doing the routine."
"Say hello to the Proactive Bracelet it will take you vitals. And give us a scale of things that will be tested and improved by the end of the week, Running speed distance run, and your aura levels. It is the basic one when you become an active huntsman? They are is a version that is considered a standard issue that all licensed huntsmen are given. But you do not have to be well informed of that aspect in question. That's something Beacon Academy goes over about the essential items every licensed huntsman is given upon graduation."
"We need to focus on making sure that you are prepared for what is ahead, and it would look bad if the kid my niece picked up off the street? Died because of the lack of being knowledgeable enough of what is considered the most essential but dangerous career on Remnants. To truly be able to defend what is ahead of him, we can't go easy on him or act like this won't be even harsher at Beacon Academy."
"She probably would not forgive me if you died because you didn't have a great landing strategy."
"Always a source of sunshine, huh Qrow?" Tai-Yang said with a sigh of resigned annoyance lithe this something they discuss often.
"Better honest than telling him he can't die during initiation! It's something that has happened into others; one bad move is all you need to do to end up dead trainee." His tone was as harsh as hail on a bright and unexpected day.
"Better he understands that just because he's new to all this. It does not mean they will treat him with kid's gloves, and we can't either. It's wrong and makes it seem like we don't care if we don't make him face reality."
After that discussion, Mr. Branwen decided to be a brutal instructor by having Yang spar with me in the most brutal way so far, but I was keeping up as best I can at this moment. But I was able to hold my own but just barely. It was a lot of dodging and trade blows getting out of the way uppercuts to the jaw only to get a flurry of rabbit punches to the solar plexus. Which took the wind out of me, but I expected as much, but it doesn't mean every punch doesn't hurt like hell. Yang hits like a brick wall, so dodging and trying to make sure I get a few hits, but I have no doubt it barely made a difference to her. As long as I try, that's enough progress for me. Even if tomorrow, I feel like mincemeat and roadkill had a secret lovechild. Taking a breath and doing my best to take the training for evasive maneuvers tactics and use it.
Mr. Branwen, as he had told me that I am supposed to call him, said to me? That after training today, he wanted to talk to me and that he had a unique course and tactics to impart on to me to ensure I did not get dismissed from Beacon my first day there. And Mr. Xiao Long looked almost gleefully whatever was on the agenda I might need to get bruise cream for it. If the sparkle in Yang's eyes and the way she was longingly looking at the lawn was anything to go on. She was reminding me of my big sister Saphron right before she made me do something that would get me in trouble with dad.
"Run laps around the island, kid! Yang is almost done with the setup." I had noticed that Yang stuck around and seemed to be programming the dummy that looked more advance then I had ever seen before.
"Once Yang is done with set up? She will go and will bring you back here that will be the sign to stop running. Follow the path, so you do not get yourself lost in the forest. The longer you run, the better your endurance will be, and this will be how we study your initial endurance baseline. Don't get distracted; don't stop just keep running." Mr. Xiao Long said.
The only lenience is a sports bottle filled with water. Something that Mr. Xiao Long passed to me.
"Keep in mind? I won't just assume or take your word for it." Mr. Xiao Long said with eyebrow raise walking over to me.
"Well, that and a standard pedometer I already gave you." He pulled out well; it looked like a bracelet but sturdier, and it gleamed in his hand. Jaune has seen one before on three of the sister's wrist before, but he wasn't allowed to ask questions about what it was or why.
"The proactive bracelet will note your levels. And we will plan around that aspect and make sure not to break you before the getting beacon academy, so do your best. We need to get a wide spectrum of analysis."
"Now get running! No time to waste." Mr. Xiao Long said Mr. Branwen had been watching from a tree almost cruelly watching on with a smirk on his face watching with a critical eye noting my movements his eyes made me want or try harder. One of the things that Mr. Xiao long taught was to scan the battlefield and really pay attention to the surrounding, especially with those who use stealth or are concealing themselves. To always really keep your guard up and be ready to fight. That your eyes Should note an enemy, especially if they are not engaging in the fight. That means they are the deadliest because they analyze their opponent then strike.
Like that, I took off like a shot into the forest, noticing Yang was doing the setup of the dummies, and Tai Yang seemed to relax on a tree stump. Sipping lemonade engrossed in his scroll, but I could see his attention was still on me. I could feel two set eyes on me know Yang was busy, so that left my teachers, and I better show my best running form.
Every step, I moderated my breathing taking my time and not pushing myself to fast, not knowing when Yang would bring me back and knowing I need to both impress and keep myself from passing out from exhaustion.
So, having my endurance tested in a general way and pushed every day is something I expected. But to have the laid out and readable was not something I thought they would be able to do, but I am glad they can do so. Better than them training me blind, but I am exhausted, but I knew that if I could not do this, who knows if Mr. Branwen and Mr. Xiao Long will want to continue training me. If I don't have that kind of endurance, I won't make it long during the entrance exam much make it through Beacon's curriculum for the first year. Until they feel they need to send me somewhere more suitable, the thoughts of just going science and engineering college like what had been planned for me caused a shiver of disappointment.
I can almost hear my father saying, 'you're too precious to become a huntsman too weak' that as the only son I need to live on and ensure the family moves forward. That I would embarrass him and his legacy and that I should stick to what I have already shown an aptitude for. There was also the bypassing of my choice, signing me up for an established honorable Lighthouse University. That is ironically situated in the city of Patch and the premier Science Engineering Medical and Technological school in the world. Not the only one but one of the best. While I do like code and programming and I am good at it. Considering I personally hacked my transcripts. But the call to do my part to protect others. To fight to live up to the family legacy, it called to me. I cannot ignore the little voice in my mind, and in my heart, everyone parts me that screams at me to make a difference. That I have to do my part and being weak and hiding when a Grimm attacks when I can learn to protect others. every time
I kept running, finding the main running path as the finally passing the trees of the forest that were denser than I expected them to be.
No matter how much I fall, no matter how hard it seemed. I wanted a chance to prove myself to prove that I am strong enough. I know it is hard. That is why I am huffing and puffing as I am turning into Yang's punching bag. It worth it because I know that they are helping me more then I realized when my reflex is getting better. I am thinking faster, something I noted as I dodged a knee bash from Yang. Who smiled at my dodge not before trying to roundhouse kick me away, which I narrowly avoided by dropping out of the way? It was worth it to get to live my dream any bump or bruise to live the life I always destined for myself but was prevented along the way. I had tripped, but the main road wasn't so bad since Patch was a more significant island settlement than most would assume it would be when looking at a world map of Remnant, I had just passed the suburban neighborhood two miles north. I was getting closer to the central part of the town, noting that I was near a college campus and the central part of the city. Realizing I was getting closer to the bridge that connects Patch to the rest of the continent of Sanus, meaning I had gone beyond where I thought would get after everything I have already done before now.
Turning towards the beach realizing that because it was midday, I was getting looks and one girl wolf-whistled at me jogging passed to my embarrassment, but I kept on and tried to downplay the looks and keep moving taking a moment take a sip of the sports bottle of water. I was out-breath, but I wasn't going to stop until Yang came for me. And that she did about an hour later. Right near the beach, she outpaced me and grabbed him a slight headlock, publicly ruffling his hair.
"Well, there you are! I see you drew a crowd, huh." Yang hinting at the girls, and the few guys were watching on and slightly flirting with me. Which I was pointedly ignoring the attention I was getting, noticing that Yang seemed to be looking for something looking at me with a tilt of the head and a smile.
"Grocers! Perfect, come on." Yang said excitedly, seeming to find what she was looking for.
"I got something to pick up at the store, and then we can run back to the yard dad's not done with you yet." She said with a chuckle, and you can help me bring back with me. It was a while with scouring the aisle for what Yang was looking for while getting casual looks from the people from the store some winking at Yang or congratulating her for her performance last year at the Sanus summer festival. Thinking back, he might remember it vaguely. Which she politely thanks them for the praise. And the jog back to the yard. Happy to help even if I was sweaty and gross at the store, at least I was helping around the house. The bag of grocery staples in my grip, and I would make sure I didn't lose a thing. It was something I decided on doing as much as I can to repay this family for taking me in when I had nowhere else to go. Walking back, making quick conversation, she could tell I was running on fumes, but I had a feeling that's why she bought me a granola bar. Keep me from passing out on the way there since It was clear that I wasn't going to eat again till dinner by the way we are working today, but this was bound to happen, and I expected as much with the amount things I need to learn and fast. Knowing the house would come up in the distance.
"Jaune! Your back!" Ruby was hopping up and down. Overly excited to see me considering how determined and single-minded she was this morning; I was surprised that she left her workshop today at all. What she had in her hand made shocked almost freeze the detail and the sheen. She took out the first meeting and to it up a notch. I was wondering where the guitar I came in with had gone. And she restored, and she had turned it into a self-amplifying electric guitar with new dials and tuning.
"Hey, I thought you said you were making me a weapon?" I said chuckling I knew better this had to be more then it seemed.
"Oh, I did make you a weapon. Let me introduce you to well. I call it utility, but I leave it up to you name it... Looks like a guitar, right?" she said with a bit of a flourish and a glint of something in her eyes. A broad smile on her face so big that I could feel a smile growing on my own face even though even my face muscle was worn, I did trip and stumbled during the run, and sparring with Yang is not a joke either. My face is swollen from that solid uppercut I took from her. But I could still feel myself happiness contagious for me.
"It's not just a guitar. It is a sword, a shield, and a gun. Thiers a bunch of other functions as well but let us get the basics. This dial here…"
With that, I got a giant lecture from Ruby herself on the weapon that was forged with me in mind. Including how to change its forms. Go into detail of each is used, and I was enraptured in her lecture on how to transform it into a gun as well. Noticing her father watched on with a smile as well as Yang finish setting up what I assume was her personal dummy. Which I noted seemed to be able to technologically advanced and more or less similar to that of the human shape with labeled anatomy. Reinforced and seemed to be able to be like a mechanically sparring partner of sorts.
"Alright enough, chit chats, you two! It is time to get to work rookie. Let's put that weapon to the test, alright. You still have to see how you deal with your marksmanship with what I'm going to assume is your primary weapon?"
"That's right, sir, no doubt in my mind." hearing the squeal of excitement from Ruby! I squared my already tired body for my training. Was I keeping the focus of everything with that in mind? I redouble my efforts, and I would keep following the instructions even though it was getting late. Ruby was waving goodbye and walking back into the house with almost skipping with joy, excited that I like the weapon she made for me. Which I did its more than I expected and the most unique I have seen as well, but then again, I was as well versed in hand made weapons. Most of the weapons my family used were the kind that were mass-produced weapons, something you picked up at the shop other than the sword grandfather used in the war that hung on the parlor with honors. I had never seen anyone go out of their way to make a weapon by hand. So, I now felt like I owed her even more for such a gift that she made so quickly. I now more than ever want to show her my gratitude by trying to live up the belief I have both in myself, and what I assume she has in me. And when there is enough time, I'll tell her my story why I would go so far willing to almost die for my dream. For that kind of memory for I swear to do when we have enough time. But I need to focus on showing that I am worthy of everything this family has done for me so far.
Sweat running into my eyes, my muscle is weakened legs burning from the running everything was so sore that I felt utterly torn to shreds. But I kept going I might have been feeling faint a name for the weapon rising to my mind, but I need to mention it to Ruby. It would be my honor to get her approval on the title. She was the one who created the weapon. It would be wrong not to have her support for something like this. Everything that Mr. Branwen and Mr. Xiao long want to get a reading of. But right now, I need to focus my attention on the task at hand. If I can stay focus on the assignment soon enough, I can try alleviating my worn-out body. If I can put my mind off my pain, I can meet the standards I set for myself to go above what I have been able to prove to myself to everyone that I'm bot to weak for this.
I notice the sun was setting, and I was winded but still ready to take on more of the regimen they had in mind. I was huffing, but my thoughts were clear regardless of how tired I felt now.
"That's it for the day boy hit the showers, you reek." Mr. Xiao Long said with the finality of today's training.
"Yes, sir, thank you."
"Wait up their runt!" stopping at the sound of Mr. Branwen's voice.
Tomorrow at noon, you will be working with me with the weapon Ruby forged for you. I got some techniques that Ruby would not think of with the weapon she created.
Feeling my shoulder unclench and my body feels exhausting, I decided to take their advice and hit the shower before dinner as I started to wobble from the smell of my own fumes. Noticing I was a bit more worn out than yesterday. But I still felt like I was progressing slowly. But I was better than I ever thought I would be. I can least aim and become as competent as a first-year primary combat student. So, the equivalent of 6-year-old learning to fight my own thoughts turning gloomy trying to stay positive, but I can feel myself hanging my head as I made my way to the stairs.
"Buck up, vomit boy! You are getting better! You feel like dog crap right now, but you got the best teachers at Signal, and your acting like you don't have Ruby and me to back you up at Beacon!" she said with a lighter pat on the back playfully, but I was able to take the blow better.
"You're not alone! So, stop dragging your feet like you're not the next me or Pyrrha Nikos!" the way she spoke of her prowess, I would assume there was cockiness, but she wasn't she was talking like a sister to decent friend or me.
"All of us start out just like you; at least you're still willing to get dirty and worn out every day." Yang had this giant smile on her face open-handedly punching her fist with an almost full celebratory joy on her
"Most of the little kids who start primary combat give up early on and go to regular school." She said with a tone that made her sound older than me. She probably experienced a bunch of her own friends when she was much younger, leaving primary combat school going off to regular school. Not keeping in contact with each other not able to really keep in touch because now they lead divergent and vastly different lives. Which are the breaks of those who can't make it through elementary combat school? My father mentions the dropouts with disdain while I was one of those kids who was not even allowed to apply. Deep breathes, the past needs to stay there.
"Some go to those small-run private primary combat schools. where they go easy on the kid, and they have only one option for advanced combat training." She said off handily, letting me fill in the blanks like anyone who has been living on Remnant will tell you where that would be.
The words unsaid that the only place that would allow them to continue to study any version of advanced combat would be haven academy since their taking any students they can get at this moment. After all, they have worse, and they got over the last two years and the fact that the city of mistral got attacked and they had to fend off a Grimm attack with a heavy casualty. They are not looking to get a new crop of freshmen students. If they are, they aren't the kind that the people of mistral won't wince at and hope that better-trained huntsmen teams will take the jobs on the international board of miscellaneous huntsmen jobs throughout the continent of anima.
"Be grateful most of the pupils under my dad, and my uncle are some of the best huntsmen to get out of Signal. With a week of tutelage, you might be rough around the edges, but at least you have great weapons based on your strengths." She said, and I could help but smile. The small feeling of hope in my heart and I was glad I took a moment to really talk to Yang. Whose positivity seemed to be infectious and was making me feel more optimistic than I had all day. Even though I had been feeling sleepy, her enthusiasm seems to make me feel a little more awake. She was reminding me of when I used to talk to Saphron about my dreams. She would tell that if I had faith, I could get to my dreams to come true.
"Realize you got a Ruby Rose masterpiece in your hand s. she made it perfectly with you in mind, and it's balanced, and she even coated it diamond dust alloy." Yang said with a wink and whistle, and I felt myself shocked. Ruby never went into detail about the materials she used to make the weapon or what it was made of. Only the aspects she specialized like that it used dust and regular ammunition. The detail she must have gone over to make the weapon for me. It made me feel torn; I felt myself feel happy that she was so invested and care so much about someone she just met and that it was too much as a gift to me. I almost about to protest such a fancy weapon since even I know how pricey diamond dust even as an alloy can be.
"You brought fire back in her about designing weapons. Ruby has not really been able to expand and make something outside her wheelhouse in a long while. It was so nice to see her; she feels the desire to upgrade crescent rose. To add on diamond dust alloy to the blade and possibly a Buzzsaw blade form. More if that smirk, she gave me was anything to go on, and I got to give ya your props. As a big sister, I am glad to see my sister excited about something. Just For that rookie? maybe I'll help my dad out with training you tomorrow two knowing him he's going to do more endurance training."
I felt a slow chill up my spine, and it must have been noticeable since I heard Yang chuckle.
"Lighten up, I meant with the running. You cannot handle sparring with me two days in a row. At least not yet, I will take you all over the island like the little brother I always wanted. You almost look the part." She said, an almost thoughtful expression on her face.
"We're the same age, Yang?"
"Fine, my twin, then right?" She said with a cheeky grin on her face and a slight chuckle in her voice.
"I already got one, and you know I come from a big family?"
"Oh, we can be triplets then!" Her excitement was both really but playful, not mocking, or sarcastic.
"Yang?" I felt myself really enjoying their hospitality and the way Yang was just including and trying to make me feel welcomed here. As if I am someone, she's known for a few weeks instead of met a few days ago. It was a nice feeling to be included and feel like I belong, and I wasn't a burden on them.
"Yes, vomit boy?" Yang said her smile is so big and reached her eyes. She was standing in front of the hall that leads to the living room and upstairs.
"Thank you truly from my heart, I mean it." Looking into her eyes and softly patting her shoulder in thanks.
"It's cool, Jaune, seriously. I got your back since my baby sister saw the best in you; she tends to be a good judge of character. But just a little warning?" She closed the space between us for the first time I notice her lilac-colored eyes turned red and her hair floating, having a fiery flare of her hair at the edge of her golden locks. That cold chill that I had felt earlier had now left me more frozen then I had ever been, and then she spoke.
"You are her friend, and I like you, I honestly do." She said, throwing her hand s up in the air the serious toned voice, and there was no joking the earlier positivity was almost gone. What was left was the huntress that everyone on Remnant was keeping an eye. The golden girl, Yang Xiao Long, one the best melee brawlers in Remnant, glaring at me like I was the scum on the bottom of her shoe.
"But if you decide that you want more, and you break her heart? You'll wish for death once I'm done with you." Her voice had a cold tinge to it at this moment. I knew who would kill me if I ever, and I do mean ever break Ruby Rose's heart. I stood frozen like a statue at Yang's words hitting me like a freight train. As Yang walked out, making her way to the kitchen to help make dinner, Ruby was already there buzzing around using her semblance to speed up the process getting the pots pans and utensils. Yang made it clear the conversation was over between us. Yang left me in the hall, a stuttering mess, the shock had not worn off.
"But … but, but!" I was not interested in Ruby that way.
As I walked Upstairs, my mind was trying to put the threat out of my mind, and I decided to focus on initiation and the first day of Beacon Academy. I was trying to give myself an ulcer trying to figure out why I was being given the big sister chat. That I more than once have given before. It eerie to be on the other side of this conversation. I can already feel myself tortured by the implications or that her sister really thought I would see her little sister like that! After how grateful I am and how much I owe her directly!
Ruby, with no information, made a judgment call from her gut and decided I was a good person and saved me! It would be wrong and disrespectful to the enormous gift of charity and hospitality that she showed to me. This family has shown me so much charity kindness and taking the time to teach me what I should have known by now!
To me, in my mind in my heart. It seems not only wrong but disrespectful to even thinking of pursuing Ruby in that way. Almost spitting at the charity, this family has shown me up until now. I was shaking my head, putting the thought out of my head.
As I went to my room to pick up some clean clothes and threw the sweat-soaked shirt I wore into the dirty laundry on the way to the shower, I let the rain down on me and let the thoughts go down the drain. I was washing my hands on my way out of the shower finding my way back to the kitchen, asking Ruby who was already helping her sister with the cooking, and asking her if I could help her with anything in the kitchen tonight? Only to point out that she needs helps with the drinks and if he could set those out, which she said with a smile. Ignoring that, I could feel a smile on my face that was mirroring hers. Just as genuine and happy now as hers.
Unknown Perspective
There were echoes on the wind. There were almost murmuring whispers of something, is it malicious, is it peaceful? You could feel it in the air in the wind. It was palpable. There was static seem to spark; it was almost tangible. The way seems to be a rumble within Patch within Vale proper. The sky was static. Something was coming where it was what it was? I could not say. It was not grim, and it wasn't feral animals; something different may be unexpected. It did not seem harmful or malicious, just odd, and causing a shakeup that has not been felt for a long while. Those who were awake those who had live long enough that they could feel the chill they knew something was coming, and they would have to raise the alarm quietly and would tell the higher-ups of their own personal feelings. Intuition was a valid excuse that had saved many a kingdom of ruin and might be the thing that could turn the tide on whatever the oncoming threat would be.
Final note: Welp, I hope you guys like this and for those of you on FFN who are reading this. Aren't you glad to see this again being updated? Remember, I love constructive criticism with my whole heart. And I am working somewhat hard on this and my other projects. This took a back seat to my other projects and you can tell by how long it took. The next chapter will be in two weeks three weeks at max. I decided to start pre-writing since quarantine gives me a lot of free time. Also, Jaune is a bit of himbo in the sense that figuring out why Yang would do something like that? Oh, you silly boy. I hope you like the chapter. It is long word length since I decided to get more in-depth about explaining things and the way things are. This version Jaune is a sweetie and dense at the same time close to the canon counterpart. But there are differences and they will be evident soon enough maybe you can note the changes already. I am Leave a comment that leaves a kudos favorite depends on the website. I originally lost ninety percent of the chapter and had to start writing all over again.
