"So, whos the girl?" Asked Maz inquisitively.

"Her? Oh she's nobody, never met her before, just a half decent pilot from Jakku. She showed up on my ship with that storm trooper a little outside the hanger I was... using." Replied Han, hoping she would drop the subject.

"But who is she? I know you know, I can see it in your eyes." Maz pressed for answers.

"Alright alright, I have a hunch." Han squirmed under Maz's backhanded interrogation. The old bird was good for more than serving drinks and he knew it. It had all started when he tractor beamed in his beloved ship and found the... stowaways. He had taken one look and recognized the eyes, but no. It wasn't possible. So he had ignored it. Written it off.

It wasn't until the Rathtars escaped that he saw. She had some actual skill! Living on Jakku, some things were a given. Some skills were required just for a chance to survive. That said, knowing how to deal with the occasional disrespectful scavenger was one thing, living off of very little was one thing, taking out a Rathtar however, that was a whole different game.

As much as he hated to admit it, Han owed his skin to a lot of people, and now Rey was one of them. Her ability with the falcon was unmatched by anyone aside from himself. She could fly it, fix it, anything that needed doing. Most of all, she appreciated it! But how? How could she know, she lived on Jakku! And not as one of those rich collectors, but as a scavenger! It had to be something she was born with.

The more the girl flew, the more she talked, even her general demeanor screamed who she was, but he wouldn't believe it. He couldn't. Not after what had happened. Not with the pain it had caused him. Not with the stress it had put on his family. His little family that he and Leia had tried to save, to save by sending her away. Somewhere safe, somewhere her he couldn't get to her. It had to be her. He had a hunch, and his hunches were never wrong.

"I think." the smuggler muttered "I think she's my daughter." Han stood up to get a much, in his opinion at least, deserved drink.

"Does she know?" asked Maz, stopping him just as he turned around to head toward the bar.

She sure seemed to, a little voice in his head sure hoped she did. Still, he couldn't be positive. "I don't know." Han whispered to himself.
