Finally! Chapter 21 of Code Geass: The Demon and His Angel has finally been written. I'm sorry it has taken so long but I have no wifi or cable so the best I can do is write the chapters while I'm at the library or through google docs on my cell. Anyway I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 21

Ashford Academy High School Division

The day went by slowly as if the now involvement of Ai was a bad omen. Lelouch was fidgeting slightly while Kallen was getting uncomfortable as she really wanted to know what Lelouch had planned for them for the day.

As lessons began at a slow pace, there was finally a saving grace when a new student walked into the class.

It was Private Suzaku Kururugi.

"Oh students, please welcome Suzaku Kururugi, an Honorary Britannian and your new classmate," the teacher introduced Suzaku to the class, who began murmuring silently to one another, except for Lelouch and Kallen, who were inwardly happy to see their childhood friend had come to join them in school.

"Why would they allow an Eleven here?"

"Elevens are beneath the Britannians, there's no reason why we should share our school with them too," one of the male students whispered to one of his friends.

One after another, there were whispered comments against Suzaku being in their class and what the government was thinking.

Suzaku sighed sadly as his gaze went around the classroom until he spotted both Lelouch and Kallen near the back, sitting beside one another.

"Settle down class!" the teacher ordered before instructing Suzaku to sit in the back near Lelouch and Kallen.

Suzaku headed towards the back, ignoring the disgusted faces of his new classmates. As he reached his seat, Lelouch gently tugged on the collar of his shirt, which Suzaku knew meant "Meet on the rooftop".

Suzaku sat down in his chair and listened to the teacher continue on with the lesson before he had walked in.

After the lesson had finally finished, Kallen and Lelouch headed to the rooftop and waited for Suzaku to join them, knowing it may be difficult for him to do so as there were many Eleven-haters within the school.

Kallen looked at Lelouch as he leaned his back against the railing of the school rooftop.

"Do you think he'll be alright?" Kallen couldn't help but ask about their childhood friend.

"Let's hope so but he technically can protect himself," Lelouch stated as the door to the rooftop opened and Suzaku made his way over to them.

Ai/Elizabeth

Her class had finally finished the lesson for the day when Ai decided she was going to see if her Auntie Nunnally wanted to go with her to the Student Council Room. Before she could leave the classroom, however, one of the boys in her class had stopped her.

"Why do you look like an eleven?" the boy asked her, causing Ai to look at him in confusion, unsure of how to explain that she was Japanese.

"I don't understand what you mean, Linus," Elizabeth stated as she turned to face the boy completely.

Linus Meorde was a six year old boy in Ai's class, who had as much dislike of Elevens as many Britannian children do.

"You have the same features of an Eleven child," Linus stated in a snobbish voice.

"But there are many children here who have the same hair color as I do," Ai stated, while looking at her classmates who haven't left yet.

"Y-yes, well…" Linus started until another boy in the class decided to stop him.

"That's enough Linus, we all get that you don't like the Elevens," Felix Jones stated.

"Yeah, leave Elizabeth alone," Aurelia stated with her small hands on her hips as she glared at Linus, who frowned as his classmates gave Ai the distraction to leave.

Ai quickly left the class as Alba waved and gave her a wink, which Ai smiled at her during her escape from Linus.

Ai sighed as she went towards the Middle School Division where Nunnally was studying.

"Aunt Nunnally!" Ai called out as she saw her blind aunt and Sayako heading towards the Student Council Room.

"Oh, Elizabeth. You made it in time as we were worried you wouldn't be able to come with us to the Student Council Room," Nunnally said with her head turned towards Ai's location while Ai ran over and gave her aunt a loving hug.

"Linus had stopped me but if it wasn't for my other classmates, I wouldn't have been able to meet up with you," Ai stated as she and Sayako walked towards the Student Council Room with Sayako pushing Nunnally's wheelchair.

Student Council Office

After Lelouch, Suzaku and Kallen had their second reunion and filling Suzaku in on what the plans were at the moment, they headed towards the Student Council Room.

They could hear Milly giving her rambucious orders to the other members of the Student Council, causing Lelouch to sigh and pinch the bridge of his nose before they walked in.

"Lulu! Come tell them that my ideas aren't bad!" Milly demanded as Lelouch went towards his seat and Kallen took the seat beside him.

"We have a new Council member, Milly," Lelouch stated, getting her attention to focus on something else.

Milly turned her gaze towards Suzaku and smiled.

"Welcome to the Student Council Room. I'm Milly Ashford, the Council president. You already know our Vice President, Lelouch Lamperouge. Our Secretary is Rivalz Cardemonde and everyone else is a member," Milly introduced everyone to Suzaku, who bowed in respect to each member.

While Suzaku was being introduced, Nunnally was wheeled into the room by Sayako with Ai following behind her.

"Oh and of course, our honorary members, Nunnally Lamperouge and Elizabeth Lamperouge," Milly stated with a gentle smile at Nunnally.

"Hello Milly, who are you introducing us to?" Nunnally asked in her usual sweet voice, causing Suzaku to turn around and slowly kneel in front of her as he gently took her hand.

Nunnally slowly grasped the hand in front of her and couldn't hold in the gasp of surprise and happiness that filled her.

"These hands," Nunnally whispered softly as she slowly felt up Suzaku's arms to his face, rubbing her hands over his face as if putting them to memory.

"Hey Nunna-chan," Suzaku greeted gently, causing Kallen and Lelouch to share a smile with one another as Nunnally was also reacquainted with Suzaku.

Ai watched him with her aunt Nunnally before she went over to her parents and got onto Lelouch's lap.

"What are the two of you doing here, not that we don't mind the visit?" Kallen asked with a grin.

"I wanted to see where you both go when school's over and Auntie Nunnally agreed to let me come here to see you," Ai stated to her adopted parents.

Milly smiled as she walked over to give Ai a hug, knowing how much she missed the little Japanese girl before she turned her gaze towards Nina, who seemed to be handling being around Japanese a bit better.

"Hello Auntie Nina," Ai greeted towards the usual Japanese-phobic teen.

"Hello Ai, how have you been?" Nina asked, giving the little girl a gentle smille.

"I've been well. Linus was a bit snobbish today but nothing I couldn't handle," Ai stated.

Nunnally took her hands off of Suzaku's face and smiled softly. Suzaku turned his gaze towards Lelouch and Kallen, watching how happy the young Japanese girl was, despite everything.
