I do not own teen wolf! I only own the original character, Addison McCall.

Things with the guys and I hadn't been great since that stupid night at the school three days ago. I had barely spoken with them, and they'd mostly taken the hint to leave me well enough alone for the most part. My mind had been nothing but occupied with thoughts of Derek. Was he okay? Where was he, and selfishly enough, did he miss me as much as I missed him? Was he thinking of me too?

Despite the ways i'd been trying to avoid Scott and Stiles so far, somehow Stiles had enough of leaving me alone and somehow pulled me out of bed and practically forced me to go with him and Scott into the reserve for some reason. Thankfully in the frenzy to get me out of the bed I had thought to pull on some rain boots, because the past few days the weather seemed to complement my mood perfectly. Dark and stormy.

"Where are we going?" Scott asked, breaking me out of my own thoughts and bringing me back to the present. I chose to listen in, also curious as to where Stiles was taking us.

"You'll see." He evaded the question.

"We really shouldn't be out here. Our mom is in a constant state of freak out from what happened at the school." Scott pressed on. He wasn't wrong either. When she wasn't off slaving away at work, she'd quickly coined the term 'Helicopter mom'. She constantly hovered over Scott and I, making sure we didn't have any new bruises or scratches. Not that Scott would, but she didn't know about that.

"Well, your mom isn't the sheriff, okay? There's no comparison, trust me." Stiles shot back, not even slowing down in the slightest bit.

"Can you at least tell us what we're doing out here?" Scott asked, becoming frustrated with our friend.

"Yes. When one of your best friends gets dumped…" Stiles started, but was quickly cut off by Scott.

"I didn't get dumped. We're taking a break." He huffed out.

"… All right, well, when one of your best friends gets told by his girlfriend that they're taking a break, and your other best friends boyfriend is missing and also being hunted by the police, you get your best friends drunk." Stiles said, spinning around and pulling a bottle of Jack Daniels our from the inner pocket of his jacket.

It had been a little over an hour, and a half a bottle of Jack was gone, consumed only by the one who had brought us here in the first place. I had sat on a rock, mostly in silence, just watching as Stiles became more and more drunk. Scott sat on a rock opposite of me continuing to brood, only keeping a light conversation with Stiles.

"Scott, you know, she's just one…One girl. You know there are so many… There are so many other girls in the sea." Stiles slurred, leaving back against the rock Scott was sitting on.

"Fish in the sea." I spoke up for the first time, correcting him.

"Fish? Why are you talking about fish? Are you talking about Derek, cause I'm talking about girls. Although, I mean, you could definitely do a lot better than him, Adds. I mean, dude was a broody slightly frightening jerk. No, I'm talking about girls. I love girls. I love them. I love… Especially ones with strawberry blond hair, green eyes, 5'3…" He rambled on.

"Like Lydia?" Scott asked.

"Yeah, exactly. Hey, how did you know I was talking about… About… What was I talking about?" Stiles trailed off, looking up at Scott and then over at me. "Hey, you guys aren't happy. Take a drink." He finished, pulling himself up and reaching for the bottle, holding it out for one of us to take.

"I don't want anymore." "I don't want any" Scott and I said at the same time. Stiles sighed and sat the bottle back down, laying himself back against the rock once again.

"Y'all aren't drunk?" He asked as he looked up at the sky.

"I think you're drunk enough for all of us, bud." I responded, also turning my gaze to the stars.

"I'm not anything." Scott answered lamely.

"Hey, maybe it's like… Maybe it's like not needing your inhaler anymore, you know. Maybe you can't get drunk as a wolf. Am I drunk?" Stiles asked with a grin on his face.

"You're wasted." Scott answered as he looked down at the boy on the ground.

"Yeah!" Stiles whooped as he held a fist out for Scott to bump, but was ignored. "Oh, come on, dude, I know it feels bad. I know it hurts. I know. Well, I don't know. But I know this. I know as much as being broken up hurts, being alone is way worse." He told him. I let out a bitter chuckle.

"Or, you know, watching your boyfriend get impaired right in front of you and then his body somehow disappearing. I mean, just saying." I threw out there.

"True. I need a drink." Stiles replied with a chuckle.

Right as Stiles reached for the bottle another hand shot out and grabbed it.

"Well, look at the two little bitches and their princess getting their drink on." A dark skinned man taunted as he stepped back beside another guy. I quickly stood up and hurried over to stand beside of Scott.

"Give it back." Scott demanded.

"What's that, little man?" The man asked, his face falling into a threatening grimace.

"I think he wants a drink." The second man taunted.

"I want the bottle." Scott huffed. I looked down and him, his face hard as stone.

"Guys, maybe we should just go." I spoke up.

"Stiles brought us here to get drunk. We're not drunk yet." Scott replied, not taking his eyes off the men in front of us.

The dark skinned man chucked as he brought the bottle up to his lips and took a long gulp. Scott pushed himself off his rock and slowly stepped to the two men.

"Give me the bottle." Scott demanded yet again, but in a lower voice. The man just looked at hm and chuckled. "Give me the bottle of Jack." He literally growled. I looked down and noticed his claws starting to protrude from his fingers.

I knew things would only get worse from here so I pulled Stiles off the ground and hurried over to Scott, placing a hand on his arm.

"Scott." Stiles warned.

Slowly the guy held up the bottle, the once cocky look in his eyes now replaced with one of fear. Scott quickly swiped the bottle from his grasp and chucked it to the side, the glass shattering somewhere in the distance. The guys quickly ran off, leaving us alone once more.

Once we were sure they were gone we took off in a hurried walk back towards Stiles' Jeep.

"Okay, please tell me that was because of the breakup. Or 'cause tomorrow's the full moon?" Stiles asked and he stumbled slightly behind us. He was a great deal more sober now than he was a few minutes ago, but in no way was he driving.

Once we reached the car Scott opened the passengers side door, letting me climb into the back before making sure Stiles was securely buckled in before he went to the drivers side.

"Going home now, yeah?" Stiles asked once we were all safely in the car. Scott nodded before pulling back onto the road.

It was now Monday and unfortunately that meant that the school was opening back up today. I laid in my bed staring up at the ceiling until I felt my bed cave a little and a tender hand wipe the hair from my forehead.

"Sweetie, you know I won't make you go today if you're not comfortable with it." Mom told me softly. I sighed deeply and pulled myself up so I could see her properly.

"I know, but if I don't go today then I won't want to go back at all. It's going to be hard either way so I should just go ahead and rip the band aid off now." I huffed. I didn't want to go, not in the slightest but I didn't want to sit around here all day either. At least at school Lydia and Allison would be there.

"You guys are really brave, you know that? Not a lot of kids your age would be able to come out of that the way you guys did. I'm really proud. Still terrified, but proud. Now, get your pretty butt up and get dressed." Mom said giving me a smile and a soft kiss on the head before leaving my room to go get Scott up.

When we got to school I immediately went to find the girls. Thankfully it wasn't too hard considering they were rounding the corner as I came in the door. I quickly fell into step beside them, tuning myself in the conversation.

"It's just weird. Everybody's talking about what happened the other night, and nobody knows it was us." Allison said. Thank heavens nobody knows who's in the school that night, if they did I know for sure I wouldn't have stepped foot in this school today.

"Thank you for the protection of minors." Lydia replied with a smile. In my case, it was thank you for the protection of John Stilinski. Since I was 17 now, my name should have been released to the public, but John thankfully pulled some strings to keep my name out of the papers.

"Guys, do you think I made the wrong decision?" Allison asked, looking at us. It didn't take a rocket scientist for me to catch on to what she was asking, Lydia on the other hand went in the opposite direction.

"About that jacket with that dress? Absolutely." Lydia scoffed playfully as she looked Allison up and down. Allison chuckled and shook her head.

"You know what I mean." Allison said.

"Hello? No offense, Addie, but Scott locked us in a classroom and left us for dead. He's lucky we're not pressing charges or making him pay our therapy bills." Lydia said.

"I mean, I can't really excuse his actions, because they weren't the best but I do think he feels bad about what he did. Especially because of how it made things with you guys." I told her sincerely. I couldn't exactly tell them that he locked us in there to protect us from himself, so I did the best I could to help.

By that time we had reached the classroom, so we had to split and go to our seats, but I left Allison with a soft smile. I looked up as Scott made his way into the room, and stop short when his eyes landed on Allison. He sighed and took off toward her with determination and stop in front of her desk.

"Allison," he starts but was immediately interrupted by Mr. Harris.

"Mr. McCall, please take a seat." He instructed. Scott rolled his eyes and walked away his eyes on the ground. "You have 45 minutes to complete the test. 25% of your grade can be earned right now simply by writing your name on the cover of the blue book. However, as happens every year, one of you will inexplicably fail to put your name on the cover, and I'll be left yet again questioning my decision to ever become a teacher. So let's get the disappointment over with. Begin" Harris drowned on until he finally raised his stopwatch in the air and clicked.

I bent over, breezing through the questions with ease. I had made it almost halfway through the test when the sound of a chair scraping the floor hit my ears. My head snapped up just in time to see Scott fleeing from the room.

"Mr. McCall?" Harris called after him. Stiles and I exchanged a quick glance before quickly grabbing our things and hurrying after him. "Mr. Stilinski, Addison!" Harris yelled at us, only to be ignored. By the time we burst into the hallway Scott was nowhere to be seen.

"Scott?" Stiles called out, only to be met with silence. I turned my head and noticed Scotts bag laying on the ground a few feet away. I nudged Stiles and pointed at it. "Scott?" He called out again.

This time when we didn't receive an answer Stiles pulled his phone out and dialed Scotts number. The sound of Scotts phone ringing in the distance broke through the near silent hallway. Stiles and I glanced at each other before following the noise towards the locker room.

When we reached the entrance Stiles turned to me.

"Stay behind me, okay?" He told me. I nodded and followed him quietly through the door. When we were inside the sound of the shower running quickly caught our attention. We slowly made our way towards the showers, relieved to see Scott standing under the stream of water, bracing the wall in front of him for support. When he noticed we were there he turned the water off, slowly turning towards us hunched over.

"Guys, I can't…" He gasped.

"What's happening? Are you changing?" I asked him quickly.

"No. No, I can't breathe." He choked out. Stiles looked at him for a moment before quickly fumbling through his bag.

"Here, use this." Stiles told him, holding out his inhaler. Scott didn't move, he just stood and started. "Come on, do it." Stiles coaxed.

Scott reluctantly reached for the tube and held it to his mouth. A few puffs later and Scotts labored breathing had calmed down, and he had stood up straight.

"I was having an asthma attack?" He asked, confused. Since he'd changed his asthma hadn't been an issue, but thankfully he still carried his inhaler with him.

"No, you were having a panic attack. But thinking you were having an asthma attack actually stopped the panic attack. Irony." Stiles explained.

"How'd you know to do that?" I asked him curiously.

"I used to get them after my mom died. Not fun, huh?" He explained, then turned back to Scott.

"I looked her, and it was like someone hit me in the ribs with a hammer." Scott said sadly.

"Yeah, it's called heartbreak. About two billion songs written about it." Stiles told him. I shook my head, a little annoyed at the fact they're squick to dismiss my feelings about what happened to Derek, but how Scott feels about Allison means everything.

"I can't stop thinking about her." Scott huffed.

"Well, you could think about this, her dad's a werewolf hunter, and you're a werewolf, do it was bound to become an issue." Stiles shot back with a chuckle, but his grin quickly fell when he saw the look Scott was sending him. "That wasn't helpful. Dude, I mean, yeah, you guy dumped, and it's supposed to suck." He backtracked, trying to make things better.

"No, that's not it. It was like I could feel everything in the room, everyone else's emotions." Scott explained to us.

"It's got to be the full moon." I chimed in.

"Yeah, we'll lock you up in your room later just like we planned. That way the Alpha, who is your boss, can't get to you." Stiles reminded him of the plan we came up with.

"I think we need to do a lot more than lock me in my room." Scott said, looking between Stiles and I.

"What, you mean because if you get out, you'd be caught by hunters?" I asked.

"No. Because if I get out, I think I might kill someone." He said in a pained voice.

"Well, that certainly changes things doesn't it?" I sighed.

AN: Super short chapter and pretty uneventful, but I felt the need to cut it off here so next chapter could be super fun. Let me now what you think, thank you! :)
