Dedicated to all mother's. You make a gigantic difference in our world's. A special dedication to my mother. I love you, mom. Happy Mother's Day!

Adam was given a kindergarten project to describe his mother. He found Mr Davenport downstairs in the lab. "Mr Davenport?" Five year old Adam Davenport asked his father. "What's a mother?"

"The person who births and raises you," Donald Davenport replied to his son's request.

"Oh, okay..." Adam replied. He left the lab and headed upstairs, thinking about the answer. His younger brother sat at the kitchen counter, reading.

"Chase? Is Mr Davenport our mother?"

"No, Adam. A mother is normally a woman."

"Oh... why don't we have a mother?"

"We're genetically engineered," Chase replied, annoyed with his brother at this point.

"Okay," Adam said, leaving the room.

The next day, Adam's kindergarten teacher asked Adam to tell the class about his mother. Adam stood up and said, "I don't have a mother." He sat down again and began doodling on a sheet of paper. The teacher did not address this answer and moved on.

Several years later, Donald Davenport married Tasha Dooley. Adam remembered the question from his youth. "Bree? What's a mother?"

"Tasha. Kind, caring, there, a best friend," Bree replied, hardly looking up from her phone. "That's my mother." Adam nodded, pondering the answer. Bree did have a good relationship with Tasha. Who was his mother?

Years later, Adam met Danica, an expert level student at the bionic academy. She was beautiful inside and out. She spent her freetime tutoring beginners, and helping with he other students. After she graduated, they began dating and eventually got married. The question did not surface again until Danica became pregnant. Adam asked Leo one day in the mentors lounge.

"Leo? What's a mother?"

"She's the woman who takes time out of her life to raise you. The woman who loves you unconditionally. The woman who disciplines firmly because she wants the best for you. The one who's always there to talk to," Leo replied. Adam nodded, not truly understanding. Over the next year's, he observed how his wife was a mother to their son, Jackson.

One afternoon, Jackson came home from school in tears because two boys had teased him. Adam tried to help, but Danica stepped in and told him that those boys were jealous of his father being the Adam Davenport. Jackson ate dinner that night laughing.

One time, he came home with the sadness of a break up. Adam comforted him he best he could, telling him that things like that'll happen and that it isn't the end of the world. Danica sat down with him and listened to how he felt. Jackson had moved on within two days.

There was a time when Jackson came home way after curfew. Danica and Adam were quick to discipline, and Jackson knew that it was because they loved him.

Jackson graduated high school at the academy and became a mentor like his father. Adam saw who his son had become and recognized his wife's part in all of it. He pulled out a pen and paper and wrote a letter to his old kindergarten teacher.

'A mother is kind and caring. She is available to you at all times. She is a best friend and a model in life. She disciplines firmly with love. She raises you to be who you are today. She loves you without stop. But most of all, she is the woman that we all hope to find in ourselves, our wife, children, and descendants after them.'

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
