This was supposed to be one of those 100 words goal thingies. Obviously, I missed the mark. But hey, I'm proud of this, even though this was written in 2 minutes.


Clay stood in surprise. His brother, now taller than he remembered, was standing right in front of him. His hair was floppy, not bouncy, his eyes were sleepy, not bright, and his grin was absent. But it was definitely his brother.

"Max-Ernest..." he croaked out, overcome with emotion.

Max-Ernest turned to look at him. All at once, his hair seemed to regain its vibrance, his eyes brightened, and his grin decided to attend.

"Clay!" he exclaimed, running to embrace his brother tightly.

Clay wrapped his arms around Max-Ernest. "It's been so long," he mumbled. Tears were starting to flow down his cheeks.

"And I never forgot you," replied Max-Ernest.

Clay felt his hoodie get pattered by his brother's tears. "I missed you."

Max-Ernest hugged Clay tighter. "I missed you too. How 'bout that?"
