Chapter 24: saving Azantys.

Chelbell2016:

Okay so if you read the first two chapters of jungle fury then the special thing she could do with Azantys... it happens in this episode.

Courtney's POV:

I have just gone through the trees into the woods outside Briarwood. A few seconds later and Mack, Rose and Tyzonn have followed me. We couldn't all leave and leave the city unprotected.

"That felt weird," Mack says as he looks back at the three. "How did we do that?"

"I cast a spell to allow you temporary access," I tell them before glancing around. "Come on Rootcore's this way!"

They follow me and I lead them towards Rootcore. I cannot wait to see my family and hope to get some insight on how to save my companion.

I hear a sudden scream behind me and I freeze. "And if I turn around and look at my friends..."

Sure enough a certain Troblin is stood in front of my friends, who are looking scared and then they drop into fighting stance.

"Whoa!" Phineas says and then he looks around at me. "Your friends look like they've never seen a Troblin before!"

I walk towards my friends and stand in front of Phineas.

"A: That's because we never have," Rose says looking disgusted and then confused. "And B: There is no such thing as a Troblin!"

I shake my head and place my hand on her shoulder. "My friend you've clearly never been to a magical forest. Phineas is a mix between a goblin and a troll... also known as a troblin. Phineas it's nice to see you again!"

Phineas pulls me in for a hug and I smile.

"Well miss light," he says and I roll my eyes at him. "I'll leave you to go on."

He heads off and I turn to the other three who still look weirded out. I laugh.

"Sorry guys I should warn you this place is full of magical creatures," I tell them before turning back to walk on with them following me.

When we get to rootcore I show them in and they are all amazed as they look around.

"Welcome!" My father says as he enters the room with my mother, both who are smiling. "Athena you didn't tell me you were popping around today!"

I walk over to them and after a quick hug I take one of their hands in each of mine.

"Mum, dad," I begin glancing from one to the other. "I need your help."

After explaining the story, Rose is looking through the magic books, Ty is staring confused at the magic ball and Mack is looking at the brooms.

"I know a lot of languages," Rose says as she looks at the Xenetone. "But I have no clue what this is!"

I smile a little as my mum, my dad and I all say at the same time. "It's the language of the ancients. Easy to learn!"

Then dad turns back to me and sighs.

"I have never heard of a mystic creature being turned evil the way you are describing," he tells me in a concerned voice. "I'd have to see him to figure out what has happened to him."

I scoff. "That's gonna be hard to do."

Apparently I spoke too soon. My tracker goes off and after glancing at the others I pull it off of my shoulder and open it.

"This is Courtney!" I say into it.

"Moltor is attacking the city," Mr. Hartford's voice says into my tracker. "And Courtney... Azantys is with him. The others are outnumbered."

I glance at my friends before nodding. "We'll head out!"

As my friends and I move towards the entrance my dad calls out.

"Athena!" He says and I turn back to look at him. "Let me go with you! I can try and find out what is wrong with Azantys."

I nod and turn to the others. "Let's go!"

We arrive, morphed at the scene to see the others get sent flying by a sonic blast. I shake my head as we run to meet them.

"We got here as soon as we could guys," I tell them and when they are all back on they're feet we turn to face Moltor who is petting a emotionless Azantys. "Get you filthy mitts off of my best friend Moltor!"

Moltor laughs. "I don't think he's yours anymore! Azantys, Lizards! ATTACK!"

I pull out my drive defender and begin to attack the lizards. I cut through one and turn to kick another. Jumping over two I turn around mid-air and throw a few fireballs at them.

They explode and I turn to see my friends being cornered by Azantys. I shake my head and teleport to in between them.

"Azantys stop!" I order the snow leopard who is still stalking towards us, I raise a hand and create a fireball. "Don't make me throw this!"

"Take the shot Athena!" My dad, who is fighting Moltor says. "Take the shot before he does!"

"This isn't low level!" I tell my friend who is still coming towards us. "This can seriously hurt you!"

"ATHENA!" My dad yells again. "FIRE!"

"I know you're in there!" I call with tears in my eyes. "AZANTYS!"

I see a flicker of emotion pass over his face and I lower my weapon slightly. Then a sonic blast comes out of his mouth and sends all of us flying. I groan as I hit the ground.

When I look up and the smoke has cleared both my best friend and Moltor are gone.

"What the hell was that?!" My dad asks as we enter the Hartford Mansion with him hot on my heels. "You nearly got yourself and your team killed! Why didn't you take the shot!"

I stop on my way to the command center as the others all head down trying to make themselves invisible.

"WHY!" I roar back at him. "Because I don't want to take the chance of killing my best friend!"

Dad steps forward and places his hands on my shoulder. When he looks at me he can see the tears in my eyes. He sighs before pulling me in for a hug.

"Azantys was my first connection to my magic!" I sob into his shoulder. "He was there through most of my journey as a ranger. I can't lose him dad..."

Dad just rubs my back until I calm down. Then we both sit on the sofa together. "Athena we can't help Azantys unless we can get him back... and to do that we may have to knock him out."

"But what if I can't control it and he gets hurt," I tell him and he sighs. "I would never forgive myself."

"How about you tell me about it," he says to me and I give him a look of confusion. "Your history with Azantys. It may make you feel better.."

I smile as I think back:

(FLASHBACK)

When I had flamed to where the pull was coming from my sensing powers were telling me this is the place and I knew what I had to do I pulled out the white flute and began to play a soft melody that for some reason I knew. All of a sudden there was a low growl and the mountain started shaking then a big zord stepped out of the mountain to look at me. It was a snow leopard. The legend was true

'' I have waited a long time for you, I have been your guardian.'' I was shocked when I heard this in my head.

''you can communicate with me through telepathy.'' I asked him and he nodded.

''Yes I have been here since before you waiting for the girl I am supposed to look after to show up, I will work with you and I am also connected to your phoenix.''

''My friends need our help.'' He nodded and bent down so I could climb up. ''Lets go.''

''Hang on guys.'' I called to my friends as I arrived on the shoulder of the snow leopard.

''WOAH.'' The others said looking impressed.

''ICE BREATH.'' and the leopard zord opened its jaws and frozen cold breath came out and hit zurganes zord.

''Ill get you orange ranger.'' Zurgane growled at me.

''Wanna bet. PHOENIX ZORD ARISE.''

my phoenix zord arrived and I played the flute in my hand to get the leopards attention.

''PHOENIX-LEOPARD UNIZORD FORMATION.'' And the snow leopard and the phoenix combined and they had a phoenix spear and A snow shield in their hands.

''OK ZURGANE LETS DO THIS.'' I attacked him and he went to blast me.

''Shield.'' I called and blocked the attack then I raised my spear and Ran him through.

''GUYS LETS FINISH HM.'' I called to the others and we all stood in line.

''FINAL BLAST.'' I yelled and we all blasted the megazord at once and It blew up.

''Yeah.'' We all cheered.

(FLASHBACK ENDED)

"That was how I met and my first battle with Azantys," I tell my dad shocked at how long ago that was now. "He was there with me for my last few battles. And he was also there when I was a dino thunder ranger. But the real shock was the day we went looking for Fireheart!"

(FLASHBACK)

"Sorry Phineas," Xander says to the Troblin. "We're on an important mission, We don't have time for a visit."

"Well I suggest you make time," A very familiar voice said and I gasped.

The others all looked around and then looked like they wanted to run as a snow leopard came through the trees.

"Snow leopard! But how?"

"This is my true form. You have only ever seen me in titan form!"

I nodded and turned to the others.

"It's ok he's a friend," I tell them and they all frown. "I've known him since my first ranger team!"

They all nodded and relaxed. Phineas jumped down and patted the snow leopard on the head.

"Yep Azantys an old buddy and I asked him to assist me in keeping a track on you guys," Phineas says.

"Azantys is that your name?" I ask.

"Yes it means warrior, now that you know about magic I can also turn into my original form and protect you that way!"

"Ok!"

I smiled and the others stared.

(FLASHBACK ENDED)

"I was so shocked especially when I found out we could combine," I tell him but then something occurs to me. "Hold on!"

I get to my feet and race off up the stairs. I am sure I brought it with me. I have never left it anywhere.

"Athena what are you looking for?" Dad says entering the room after me.

I don't answer him as I open my trunk full of stuff I cannot show the world. I dig to the bottom and find what I am looking for. When I stand back up I am holding the flute that I used to call Azantys with.

"I think I know how to get his attention!" I tell my dad who nods.

"Do you think it'll work?" He asks me.

"If not it might be able to distract him long enough to hit him with a potion," I tell him and he once again places his hand on my shoulder.

"You can't hold back," he says and I nod.

"Courtney," Rose says entering the room and looking confused at the object in my hand. "Azantys and Moltor are back... is that a flute?"

I nod and turn to her. "Let's go!"

We get to the city to see Azantys scaring people. I turn to my friends.

"You know the plan," I tell him. "Leave Azantys to me and dad!"

"RIGHT!" The others say.

We all race forwards into battle and I jump straight over the lava lizards with my dad who races over to Azantys and distracts him with a blast that landed near him but didn't hurt him.

"Athena now!" He yells.

I sigh before throwing a fireball that sends him flying and I wince as he hits the ground. Even though I know its the only way it doesn't make it any easier.

I raise my flute and begin to play it. Azantys turns towards me and I can see a flicker in his eyes.

"Come on buddy!" I say before playing the flute again. "Come back to me!"

I play it again and my dad nods as I notice his eyes return to normal. Before I can say anything a blast sends me flying and both my dad and I land on the ground next to Azantys.

"Your pet works for me now!" Moltor laughs.

"Wanna bet!" I once again hear my best friends voice in my head. "Nice job young one!"

He then sends a sonic blast at Moltor who groans as he goes flying. My mystic morpher suddenly beeps and I open it to see a new spell code.

"Let's end this battle!" I say before demorphing from my operation overdrive suit and raising my mystic morpher. "MAGICAL SOURCE MYSTIC FORCE!"

When morphed I open my morpher and press: 5-5-2.

I am shocked as both I and Azantys glow before he goes to titan mode. Then he splits apart and I jump into the air as his four limbs attach to mine and his head becomes a handle for a sword. Finally his chest becomes a plate across mine and his tail becomes a staff.

"AS FIERCE AS SNOW!" I yell as snow falls behind me. "SNOW LEOPARD WARRIOR!"

The others all gasp and Moltor looks shocked.

"LIZARDS ATTACK!" He says before his minions all run at me.

I race forwards and strike two before turning and kicking one. I spin my staff and jab one sending it flying.

"USE YOUR SWORDS FINAL ATTACK!" Azantys says and I am shocked as he says it out loud and through his head on the sword.

"SNOW SWORD!" I yell and I create a circle. "FINAL ATTACK!"

I send the circle at the Lizards who all are destroyed.

"I've had it!" Moltor says sounding scared. "I'm out of here!"

He then disappears.

"AZANTYS!" I yell as I seperate from Azantys and we both go back to normal. "I am so glad to have you back!"

I lean down and wrap my arms around him. He lays his head on my shoulder and we are both silent for a few minutes.

"I am so sorry young one," he tells me and I lean back with tears in my eyes. "I was not in control of my body. I would never have hurt you otherwise. I am glad you got me back and the flute was a good idea!"

I nod and laugh as I hug him again.

"Well done Athena," Dad says as the others approach. "You conquered your fears of loosing Azantys and was awarded with a new spell code. I am so proud!"

I nod and smile at him. "Thanks for convincing me that the only way to help him was to stop holding back. I don't think the flute would have worked if he wasn't disorientated!"

Dad nods and I hug him.
