A/N: I could make up excuses on why this took so long, but honestly I'm not good at keeping my motivation for long. I guess I could say "oh I was in my last year of high school and I just recently graduated but then I spent all of June in a post-grad depression", but that's kinda dull. So uhhh. hello. Thank you for reading. I am kind of in shock that this blew up so much. I didn't expect it to. I was just letting my mind go a little wild. Fair warning, I didn't look through this for mistakes and it is 1:48 AM lol. Anywho, enjoy the chapter.

Nagisa-Sensei: The Influential (Part Two)

LAST TIME ON NAGISA-SENSEI: THE INFLUENTIAL:

"Back up is going to come soon," the teacher trainee spoke urgently. "Ritsu, call Karasuma now. I have a feeling this going to escalate a whole lot. After you get in touch with Karasuma, take these kids somewhere safe. I trust you."

"Hai!" Ritsu responded. "Come on, Fujoka-kun, Kobayashi-kun. I'll be taking you to your school. It is an ideal place for you guys to hide in, I'll have access to the whole place, no civilians will be in danger, and we'll be able to rendezvous with Karasuma!"

The two of us nodded in unison. This could be a make or break situation for us. We needed to act fast or shit was going to hit the fan.

Haruo Fujioka's POV

We were dashing down the street as a loud yelling could be heard from the apartment complex. Kobayashi was slightly trailing behind me due to the injury. God, this was all levels of fucked up. Thankfully, we didn't have to run too far. Nagisa-sensei lived relatively nearby Paradise High, only he lived in the direct opposite direction from where I live. No wonder I never stumbled by seeing him heading home.

"Fujioka-kun, Kobayashi-kun!" Ritsu snapped me out of my stupor. "Karasuma-san will be at the entrance. Your main objective from there on is to stay close to Karasuma-san."

Kobayashi grunted from behind me. His breath was getting more haggard with every step. That wasn't good at all. Rounding the bend, I could spot a man clad in a sharp suit next to a foreign woman. The man locked onto us and turned to face us. He had an intense look on his face, but I couldn't tell what specific emotion was on his face. The woman next to him has a naughty smile on her face as though she was assessing us as weaklings.

My legs were killing me when I staggered to a stop in front of them. I leaned over with all my weight and tried to steady myself. Man, I could go for a week of not moving at all. I could hear Kobayashi panting hard next to me. His gasps of air sounded more painful than mine. This guy needed somewhere to sit and stat.

The man spoke up. "You two must be Nagisa's students. I am Tadaomi Karasuma of the Japanese Ministry of Defense. This is my colleague, Irina Jelavic. We are here to help."

"You two don't look like much though," the woman stalked around us in half-interest. "Even Nagisa-kun wouldn't be this out of breath from sprinting."
Wow, what a bitch.

My face scrunched up at the statement, and I stood straight up to look her in her bitchy eyes. "Sorry, lady, but I could give less of a fuck about how bad we are compared to Nagisa-sensei. That guy is like the devil, and if you can't tell, we're not."

"Why you little-"

Karasuma-san stretched his hand out between us. Jelavic looked at the man with severe indignation and tried to voice her protests. She seemed to think otherwise when she stared into the guy's eyes. Her back was quickly to us.

I scoffed lightly at the childish actions. She was definitely the bitch type.

"Come inside the school," Karasuma-san gestured to the school, "and you two can rest."

God bless this man. A saint among bitches.

I turned to look at Kobayashi only to notice him dry-heaving on the pavement.

"Fuck."

Wrapping his arm behind my head, I tried to pull him up. Karasuma-san was at Kobayashi's other side and lifted him up as well. The bitch-lady went behind us as we carefully yet swiftly entered the school. I had no idea where would be the best place for us to go in this kind of situation. The infirmary? We could check on the giraffe's injuries, but that would be the obvious location to go for. The library? The shelves would provide cover, but there was only one exit and the windows were bolted shut. He's tried to unbolt them with little success. They were old as hell. There was the cafeteria and its kitchen, though. It didn't have any windows, so no one would be able to see them. There's multiple exits and hiding places. Perfect.

"The cafeteria," I huffed under my breath. Karasuma-san and the bitch-lady hopefully heard me. With me gesturing down different halls, we were able to get into the kitchen easily. We gently propped Kobayashi against the side of a cabinet. He was breathing heavily still. My legs were still aching in pain when I collapsed right next to the guy. I think I blanked out. One moment, I was staring at the sinks in front of us. The next, the bitch-lady had two bottles of water and a large, white cloth. I realized I was chugging huge gulps of water in between large pants afterwards. God. Have I even been this emotionally and physically exhausted before? I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.

I looked to my left. The bitch-lady was looking over Kobayashi with Karasuma-san. The running most definitely took a toll on his shoulder wound from the red seeping into the bandages. I hope he'll be find after this.

Karasuma-san pulled out a phone and walked away from us. His voice was hushed and the whirring of the freezers made it hard to make out what he was saying. I could barely hear the words out of his mouth.

"... E-class… compromised… Dispatch unit…"

At that point, I was fading in and out of consciousness. All I could remember was the feeling of the bottle in my hands being taken away. I fell deep asleep and awoken to be leaning on Kobayashi's arm. I would've quickly recoiled if I wasn't so stiff and he wasn't about to topple over. I let him lean against me for a bit. This was pretty weird, but definitely not the weirdest thing about today. The bitch-lady was a little ways away from us talking to Nagisa-sensei. How long had I been sleeping?

"Good morning, Fujioka-kun!"

My phone was on the floor with that lady in it. What was her name again? Ritsu? The lady giggled in amusement. Probably was my face at the moment.

She smiled serenely. "You have been asleep for an hour, if that was what you were thinking."
"Ah, thank you."

"Seriously, Nagisa-kun!" the bitch-lady exclaimed. "Did you teach your kids to be rude to me, too?"

Nagisa-sensei looked really amused at the childishness of the lady. "Of course not, Bitch-sensei. You're just a natural bitch."

Woah. Nagisa-sensei just called her a bitch. That was hardcore.

I was expecting her to throw another tantrum, but she simply huffed at the insult like it was normal. Was this supposed to be a normal student-teacher relationship? Did students back in the day insult their teachers?

"You know you could just call me Irina-san or Jelavic-san," she pouted. "I thought we moved past this after you graduated, kid."

"Nope. Once a bitch, always a bitch." Nagisa-sensei was practically beaming at the lady. This dude was a bad-fucking-ass.

"You're awake."

The two adults turned to look at me as Karasuma-san knelt next to me.

"You two will be fine now. The Ministry of Defense will be cleaning up your school, so you two probably won't have school tomorrow." I must of have a confused face because he continued to explain that situation. "The yakuza group that were after you have retreated for now but not without a fight. Ministry is going to try and up the security around here. We've also hired some operatives to check underground activity thanks to Irina."

"I- Okay?"

Nagisa-sensei scratched his cheek sheepishly as he knelt next to me. "I know the following weeks will be hectic, but I am glad you two are safe."

I blinked.

"You're not mad that I dragged you all into this mess?"

"Of course not," he reassured. "I'm certain Karasuma-sensei was already keeping an eye on the yakuza here. At least you two were able to find me before anything even worse could happen to you. My only regret is that Kobayashi-kun was injured."

"Nagisa-sensei, out of all due respect. A gunshot wound is probably the least of your worries."
I was so irritated to see the regret on his face. He shouldn't be blaming himself for something as petty as a light graze compared to the fact that the Japanese mafia just knocked on his door and threatened his students. This guy is crazy. I watched Nagisa-sensei reel back a little in surprised at my retort. The look of shock quickly turned into an amused smile.

"Touche, Fujioka-kun. Touche."

From that point onwards, everything passed by in a blur. An ambulance showed up to cart Kobayashi to the hospital. I go into the back of the ambulance with the paramedics and Nagisa-sensei. At the hospital, I was checked for injures and whatnot. They gave me an IV with nutrients or whatever and I was told to stay overnight. My parents called me. They sounded pretty worried on the phone. It was really weird. Kobayashi was placed into the same room I was in a few hours later with a big bandage on his shoulder wound and an IV next to his bed. We sat in silence for a bit while the lights turned off for the night.

Kobayashi was the first to speak up. "That was kind of an anti-climatic ending, wasn't it."

"Yeah. No kidding." I looked straight ahead in the darkness. There was a comfortable silence between us before we both went straight back to sleep.

The next day, we were both discharged from the hospital. Kobayashi's parents were waiting for him at the lobby. His mom and dad embraced him tightly and a little boy was clinging onto his pant legs. I looked for me parents to even though I knew they were too busy to come. Not even my siblings were there.

Just out of habit, I checked my phone. There were a couple texts from them all. Mom was clearing her schedule for the next week to visit while dad was trying to fly back to Japan. My siblings sent them various texts wishing me well. Big sis was driving down to see me while my brother was requesting a week off of school. Huh.

"You're smiling a lot," Kobayashi commented.

I didn't realize I was smiling so hard. I laughed. "I guess I am, giraffe. Didn't know I could."

"You want to come over? Y'know, take some time to just relax from this all?"

"You got any video games?"

Kobayashi snorted. "Of course."

OMAKE

The TV lit up, and a news anchor appeared on screen. He looked seriously at the camera.

"Residents around Paradise High were in shock as local yakuza flooded the streets. A teacher's assistant from Paradise High had his apartment broken into not long before the school itself was raided by yakuza for an undisclosed reason. Tadaomi Karasuma, a high ranking representative of the Ministry of Defense speaks more on the issue."

The channel switched to a talk show featuring Haruna Mase. The show host was seated on a desk to the right of the set while an audience was hidden behind the camera. Haruna Mase was seated primly on a sofa chair to the left of the set.

The show's host waved enthusiastically to the camera. "Miss Mase is here folks! How is the star of Dragonfly doing?"

"I'm doing very well, thank you!" Haruna Mase looked at the audience with a charismatic smile before turning to the show host. "Though, I am feeling slightly concerned!"

"Concerned, you say," the host leaned over the table in interest. "Do tell me more!"

Haruna chuckled at the action. "Well, I have a friend who was involved in an incident at Paradise High."

"Ah," the host tsked. "This pesky yakuza, am I right? I heard it was quite the fright down there."

"Yes. I am thanking my friend is safe," her face displayed clear worry and concerned. "I hope that the people who were involved get some well deserved rest after this traumatic event! I will be supposing campaigns to help the community after this scary encounter."

The audience erupted in applause at the announcement. The channel switched to show an old man announcing that the yakuza that were caught at Paradise High confessed to the transportation of illegal substances into Japan. A younger man with bright red hair stood next to him. He was giving the audience behind the camera a lazy grin. The TV quickly turned off at that moment. I looked at Kobayashi. He looked at me with a flabbergasted face.

"Nagisa-sensei is the devil."

"Agreed."

A/N: Thank you for reading. If you guys want to review, could you give me some feedback on how I write? I'm curious on how my style is. I've been trying to work on making it a little more captivating. Have a nice day!
