Hey guys, sorry its been so long. I hope everyone is being safe and smart. Its crazy how this world has changed since I've last posted a chapter but hopefully it won't continue for much longer. I've been working from home so I've had some time to write a little bit. If there are any essential or healthcare workers who are reading this story, thank you so much for what you do. Chapter 27

After ending her Skype conversation with her friends, Usagi couldn't help but think about what they said. Were they right about her and Mamoru? Should she take Lily's suggestion and just make it official and end everything?

No, no she couldn't. Because even though he hurt her, she still cared for him and all the times they shared together still stayed fresh on her mind. Could she really end it after all they've been through? No. Which is why she knew it was best to stay together but at least be separate and meet other people so that they won't have any regrets in the future. If there is still a future between them.

Usagi shaked her head, she shouldn't be concerned with the future because if anything it would make everything worse. She should just take her time to make sure that she's making the right decision.

The only thing she won't listen to is Lily's suggestion to date Mr. Tate. Why would she even suggest that? Sure Mr. Tate is a cool, funny guy and he's easy to talk to, and he is kinda handsome and sometimes he makes her smile. But that doesn't mean that they should date. He's her teacher for goodness sake and also he's five years older than her. Her Grandmother made him her tutor so she could learn more of her abilities not push her into romance with an older man.

Usagi groaned, this was not how she wanted to spend her day. She wanted to do some more sightseeing however her day turned to crap the moment she turned and saw the Inners. Now she doesn't even want to go out again in fear that she might run into Rei. It might not happen but with how the odds were going right now she didn't want to risk it.

Usagi sighed heavily and turned to look at Tsuki who was currently sitting on her bed, "Well my day is ruined. What do you want to do instead?" She asked

Tsuki got up and moved to the pillow, laying himself next to it. Usagi giggled as she got what he was trying to say, "Nap-time, I should've known." She got from her desk, laid on her bed and cuddled with Tsuki, nuzzling his fur.

Either the days events or the conversations she had was the cause of why she feel asleep so quickly. But Usagi didn't care, for sleep seemed to keep away all her responsibilities and decisions.

The next day, Usagi texted the Outers asking if they were available to hang out. She was still worried the universe might still be out to get her and try to send Rei in her direction. But Usagi hoped the universe would be sympathetic to her today. She was excited when the Outers texted back saying they were available and they made plans to hang out in the after noon that day.

Once it was time, after checking herself in the mirror, she headed down the stairs to put on her shoes and headed out with Tsuki walking next to her. She quickly walked the streets to the Outers house and arrived in their Victorian home with sweat falling down her back. She pressed their doorbell and seconds later, Hotaru answered the door, smiling.

"Usagi-chan, I'm so happy you're here." She smiled and reached out to hug the blonde.

Usagi giggled, "Me too." They released each other and Hotaru pulled Usagi inside the house and lead her in their backyard where a picnic blanket was laid out on the ground with Michiru placing most of the food, plates and utensils properly.

Michiru looked up and smiled, "Usagi-chan, welcome." She waved the two girls down to sit next to her and the two sat on opposite sides of the blue-haired woman.

"Hey Michiru" Usagi said as she hugged Michiru. At that moment Haruka and Setsuna come out with plates of food in their hand and greeted Usagi. They placed the food on the blanket and sat down. Setsuna placed the food in everyone's plates and in their small circle that sat munching on the food.

Usagi eyes widened when she first tasted it, "Mmm this is so good!"

The four Outers smiled widely, "Thanks Usagi, Setsuna made the appetizers, I made the meat and Hotaru made desserts." Michiru revealed

"So what did you make Haruka?" Usagi wondered

Haruka looked up from her plate, "I brought everything outside." She said with a mouth full of food

Everyone giggled, "And you were so helpful." Setsuna deadpanned and Haruka glared at her.

"Do you want to give anything to Tsuki?" Haruka asked pointing to the Maltese laying next to Usagi.

Usagi shaked her head, "No remember, Tsuki doesn't need to eat."

Haruka blinked trying to remember, "Remember Haru, Usagi told us that Tsuki doesn't need to eat, if anything eating is like a pastime than a need to him." Setsuna said reminding the sandy blonde. But it seemed like the Outer senshi couldn't remember.

"So Usagi what have you been up to since you've been back?" Hotaru asked

Usagi sighed, "A lot." From there, Usagi told the Outers everything that's happened since her welcome party. She also told them about Selene's wanting her to take the Inners powers away.

"Oh goodness." Setsuna said

"Hm how unexpected." Hotaru sighed

"Finally you dump Chiba!" Haruka cheered

Michiru placed her arms around Usagi's shoulders, "Aww poor you, Usagi, having to deal with that during your summer vacation."

"Honestly I expected as much. Also Haruka, Mamoru and I did not break up." Usagi said as she crossed her arms.

"You should have dumped him a long time ago." Haruka muttered, "Anyways, good for you Koneko, setting those stupid Inners, and Chiba in their place."

"Although it's interesting that you told Naru everything. Are you sure that was a good idea?" Setsuna asked

"Well it's only fair that she knows the truth." Usagi sighed, "She's been my best friend for many years before I met you guys. So it seemed right to tell her, plus Grandmother feels like it was a good idea too."

Setsuna blinked at that but didn't say anything, "Well if you trust Naru then we will too." Hotaru said

"But I must say I'm surprised that you can even take away the power of the Senshi." Michiru said to Usagi.

"So was I at the time." Usagi snorted

"However your Grandmother is right about that. Maybe it is best for the Inners to have their powers taken away." Setsuna said

"Seriously?" Hotaru gasped

"You don't agree Hotaru?" Haruka said with a raised eyebrow

"Well its just that these powers and titles were given to us and it feels wrong to just take it away." Hotaru explained. "Plus what about the future? What about Chibiusa? I mean I know we talked about it before but now we're actually talking action and talking about it, what if we're completely changing the future?"

"I think the future has already been changed." Setsuna said, "I mean, so many things have happened that shouldn't have occurred. Chibiusa was never suppose to come to the present, Hotaru and I shouldn't be here, the Silver Crystal shouldn't have bonded with Usagi and the Inners and the others shouldn't even be questioning Usagi's abilities to be Queen. However I don't know the extent of the change."

Hotaru lowered her head, "So the future and Chibiusa is gone?"

Haruka, Setsuna, Michiru and Usagi looked at each other, "Its… possible that everything could've already been changed." Usagi said sadly.

Hotaru nodded slowly, "I figured as much but I was hoping that maybe there's a chance that maybe it would've stayed the same."

Usagi hugged the younger Outer Senshi, "I'm sorry but don't be down. You never know, maybe Chibiusa can still existence."

The younger Senshi just shrugged, it was possible but she wasn't gonna get her hopes up just in case. "So when do you plan on taking away the Inner powers?" She asked

Usagi shrugged, "Honestly that's a good question. I didn't have great conversations with them and I'm sure the day I do take their powers might lead to fight, especially if Rei is there."

Setsuna snorted, "They can fight all they want but they don't have a chance against us. With Usagi's new abilities and us actually training and gaining more skills, a fight would be easy." Everyone looked at Setsuna with wide eyes, "What?"

"Well normally you're on the neutral side of things. You rarely say things like that." Michiru replied

Setsuna shrugged, "Well I'm only stating the truth." She said and she continued eating her food.

Haruka raised an eyebrow at Setsuna's statement but didn't respond to it, "Well when you do take their powers, just remember to call us so we can be there."

"For backup?" Usagi questioned with a tilt of her head

"Yeah, sure back-up." Haruka had a mischievous smile on her face when she said that which made Usagi doubt her.

Usagi narrowed her eyes, "It's moments like that this that makes me worry about you Haruka."

Haruka merely smiled, "Aww, I love you too Koneko." She said as she pinched Usagi's cheeks. Usagi playfully pushed Haruka's hands away and rubbed her cheeks while Michiru, Setsuna and Hotaru laughed at the two's antics.

At that moment an alarm rang out through the Outers home and the five turned their heads to that, "What is that?" Usagi wondered

The Outers immediately got up and headed back inside the house, "It's the youma alarm!" Hotaru yelled out

Usagi chased after them with Tsuki in her arms as they headed towards the basement, "You guys have a youma alarm?" She asked with a raised of her eyebrow but her eyes widened as she saw their basement for probably the first time. "Oh. My. God."

The Outer's basement seemed to be a super lab and the four corners of the room seemed to represent each Outer Senshi with a large table at the center, which was currently glowing red. "This is a very cool basement." Usagi stated

"Thank you" Setsuna smiled, "We did some major remodeling after you left and placed sensors all over the city to warn us if there's any youma's around. It became even more necessary when we stopped meeting with the Inners."

"Sensors?" Usagi questioned, "What exactly does it sense?"

"Dark mana." Hotaru answered

Usagi bowed her head in shame, "Right, dark mana." She was literally studying light and dark mana last semester, how could she forget that. Each Outer sat in the four chairs around the table and a screen appeared in the middle of the table showing a giant ogre-like creature with a large axe cutting and terrorizing a park with people screaming and running away from the monster.

"What park is that?" Usagi asked

"Seems like the Amishiro park near the library." Hotaru said

"All right, let's go!" Michiru announced and they all ran jumped inside Haruka car and Haruka stepped on the gas pedal and raced over to the park. However once they arrived to the park they found it completely empty.

"Gosh it's been so long since I've seen an empty park." Usagi stated

Michiru smiled, "Gives you a twinge of nostalgia, no?"

"Yeah and what a better way to welcome you back to home." Hotaru smiled

Usagi scoffed, "Some welcome" and Hotaru giggled. "Wait a minute, where are the Inners and Mamoru?" Usagi wondered. She knew that Luna and Artemis has their own system for when youma attacks and by now all of them should've arrived.

Simultaneously all the Outers rolled their eyes, "Those guys are either super late or don't show up at all." Michiru sighed

"Seriously?" Usagi frowned, she knew that Outers don't meet up with the Inners anymore but Inners should still show up at anytime of trouble.

"Right, we'd better transform better transform." Haruka said and the other three Outers nodded,

URANUS CRYSTAL POWER

NEPTUNE CRYSTAL POWER

SATURN CRYSTAL POWER

All four Outers stood proud in their Sailor uniforms but when they turned to look at Usagi they realized she didn't transformed, "Usagi what's wrong? Why aren't you transforming?" Sailor Pluto asked

Usagi bit her lip, she didn't have the time to tell them that she was unable to use her powers in her Eternal Sailor Moon form. With all the training and lessons, Usagi's mana had severely increased during the year she's been at the Academy and her Grandmother revealed to her a few months ago that she couldn't be Eternal Sailor Moon anymore as her power outgrow that form. She could transform to be Eternal Sailor Moon but that form was practically useless in a fight as she couldn't use any of her original powers.

She could try to use it but it would do more harm than good in this situation. There is however, another form after Eternal Sailor Moon but her Grandmother felt she wasn't ready for it yet. Usagi tried to prove her wrong only to have it blow up in her face. Literally.

"Sorry guys, I can't transform." Usagi apologizes. "I'm kinda in-between forms." She explained and thankfully they understood.

"So you can't help us?" Sailor Saturn wondered

"I can't transform but I can definitely help you." Usagi smiled

"But Usagi, what if someone sees you?" Sailor Neptune said looking around

Usagi thought for a second till an idea came to her. With a snap of her finger a silver masquerade mask sat on her face and wearing a black and silver form fitting tracksuit, "What about this?"

"Well its not an official Sailor uniform but it would do in a pinch." Sailor Saturn giggled

"Why, thank you." Usagi smiled smugly, "Just call me um, uh, oh Twilight."

"Twilight?" Sailor Uranus questioned

"What? You don't like it?" Usagi asked furrowing her brow

"Well it makes one think of the book and movie but it makes sense in your case as you're in between your past and future forms. Very smart." Sailor Pluto commented. Honestly Usagi just thought the name sounded cool but whatever they want to think.

"So what about Tsuki?" Sailor Pluto pointed to the white Maltese at Usagi's feet

Usagi smiled, "Oh don't worry about him. Tsuki can take care of himself."

All of a sudden they four girls heard laughter echoing around them, "Well well what do we have here? Four little sheep trying to be brave?"

"Sheep?!" Sailor Uranus shouted in outrage, "We'll show you sheep! Come out and show yourself monster!"

Once Sailor Uranus said that, they heard a scraping sound followed by thundering footsteps. They all turn their heads saw the giant ogre stomping towards them with an axe in his hands "Monster?! How dare you call me that sheep! I am Orpheus!"

"Ya quit it with the sheep business." Sailor Saturn frowned

"You are small and weak like sheep so that what you must be!" Orpheus stated

"Hey, at least sheep are cute. He could be calling us worse names." Usagi stated and Sailor Saturn at least agreed on that.

"Why are you terrifying people?" Sailor Neptune asked Orpheus.

The monster grinned darkly, "How else can a future king establish his rule? This will be my new kingdom and you will be my pets."

"Wait a minute, did you just say future king?" Sailor Pluto questioned

"I'm stuck on the fact that, that beast called us his pets." Sailor Uranus said in surprise. "We went from sheep's to just pets."

"Oh, that's so not happening." Sailor Saturn scowled

"Look we're gonna be nice and give you the chance to leave alive, if you go back from where ever you came from and promise to drop this nonsense about ruling this world." Usagi stated

Orpheus stared at white masked girl before he stated laughing, "Who the hell do you think you are to order me around, you weak, pathetic, dim-witted, stupid little human?!"

Usagi gritted her teeth and clenched her fist, "What the hell did you say?!" Sailor Neptune yelled

"You should be grateful that she even gave you the chance to live!" Sailor Pluto shouted

Orpheus continued to laugh, "Never in my existence have I laughed as hard as I have just now." He chuckled before catching his breath, "Now here's a proper deal we're gonna make, you five will get on your knees and apologize for your rudeness perhaps I'll be more forgiving in your punishment."

"Usa- Twilight, permission to kick this guys ass." Sailor Uranus growled and the other three Outers got into position.

"Permission granted." Usagi said

Sailor Uranus smiled and shouted,

WORLD SHAKING

Orpheus smiled and using his his axe, he hit the attack back to Senshi. Usagi raised her hand up and a shield surrounded all of them and Sailor Uranus attack shook the shield but remained firm.

"Wow nice shield Twilight." Sailor Saturn commented as Usagi dropped the shield.

"Thanks but Pluto can put up a better shield." Usagi smiled and Pluto patted Usagi on the back in thanks.

"So what are we gonna do about that this monster?" Neptune wondered

"He can only deflect one attack at a time. There's no way he can defend against multiple attacks." Usagi said. Uranus smiled and the five moved to surround Orpheus and the monster looked around watching the Senshi's moves.

The Outers cried out:

SPACE TURBULENCE

DEAD SCREAM

DEEP SUBMERGE

PRESS CRUSHER

Meanwhile Usagi cupped her hands and a small white orb appeared above her hands. As she expanded her hands the orb grew larger in size. Once the orb grew large enough she was about to throw it at Orpheus when the Inners and Tuxedo Mask suddenly came onto the scene and stood in front of the monster throwing their attacks at him.

Usagi immediately stopped her own attack and formed a shield around the Inners to prevent them from being hurt from the Outers attack.

Orpheus just laughed as he knocked off the Inners attacks sending it back to them. "Absolutely pathetic." He sneered

"What the hell guys?!" Sailor Uranus yelled

"We were helping!" Sailor Mars yelled back, "You could say thank you!"

"If it wasn't for Koneke you would be dead!"

"Guys now is not the time for this! Don't you realize we have a monster laughing at us right now." Usagi stated

"Why the hell are you wearing that mask, Us-" Mars began

"Twilight my name is Twilight!" Usagi interrupted

The Inners gave her a confused look but went along with it, "Twilight, when did this happen?" Sailor Venus wondered pointing to the mask and outfit.

"Isn't it obvious? She gave up her name and the team." Sailor Mars stated

"Oh shut up, Mars." Usagi sighed, "We totally don't have time for this, right now let's defeat this monster and then we'll discuss everything else."

"I am your king, you will be punished for calling me a monster." Orpheus growled and charged towards the Senshi with his axe.

"I don't think so." Usagi stated and ran up to the monster kicking the axe out of his hands and kicking him in the face making Orpheus howl in pain. "Everyone attack him with everything you got!" Usagi announced

All nine attacks hit Orpheus directly and once the cloud of dirt disappeared, Orpheus was face down on the ground.

"It's over Orpheus, I'll give you one last chance to surrender or else." Usagi threatened

"Seriously you're giving him another chance?" Mars questioned "Thats reason you're not fit to be Queen." She said as she crossed her arms. The Inners and Tuxedo Mask looked flustered and Usagi honestly wanted to cursed at them; seriously didn't they just have a conversation about this yesterday?

Tsuki, angered by Mars words, morphed into a giant white wolf and growled at Sailor Mars making her jump back away from him. Usagi narrowed her at the Inners and Tuxedo Mask, she was definitely going to have a talk with them later.

"It's Twilight's choice and if she wants to spare him then we will follow." Sailor Pluto stated

Tsuki backed away from Sailor Mars but not before giving her one last growl, "Have you made up your mind, Orpheus?" Usagi asked

Orpheus groaned as he slowly got to his knees and gave a low chuckle, "You humans are so forgiving its pathetic. I can already tell that you especially would a foolish queen and your kingdom will fall-"

The Senshi, Tuxedo Mask and Luna and Artemis, who was standing away from the battle but moved near all of them once Orpheus was on the ground, stared at the scene in shock. Orpheus body fell with a thud as his head rolled away from its body and stopping in front of Usagi's feet. Everybody's eyes fell on Usagi and they immediately felt chills as they saw her eyes held no emotion. Usagi's hands glowed and Orpheus body and detached head combusted into blue flames.

"Mars" Usagi said suddenly making the fire senshi jump, "we're meeting at your temple in 10 minutes, is that understood everyone?" She said making it clear that it wasn't a question.

Normally Sailor Mars would've made a comment but after watching Usagi at this moment, and for the first time ever, she felt a little too frightened to speak out against the princess. "Understood" everyone said simultaneously.
