The Witcher: A Different Kind Of Wolf

Disclaimer: I do not own Halo or The Witcher in anyway shape or form, they belong to their respective owners.

20:00 Hours, August 30, 2552 (Military Calendar) Aszod Breaking Yards, Reach.

On the fallen colony of Reach, a world that for generations had stood the test of time and showing how far humanity had come since they had first ventured out to the stars, a lone figure could be seen standing on the raised platform.

The figure in question was none other then Spartan-B312, one of the two remaining members of Noble Team that was still alive after the month-long conflict between the UNSC and the Covenant Empire. Though he couldn't say for sure if Jun was still alive after he had been ordered to transport Doctor Halsey to CASTLE Base by Carter shortly before his demise; still if anybody could get her there unharmed then it would've been him.

Noble Six looked up as two Banshees raced passed him, followed by a Phantom as they began bombing the surface killing any remaining humans that had been left stranded after the colony had evacuated; the lucky ones had managed to hitch a ride on the transport ships and hightail out of there…the unlucky ones like himself had been left behind to meet their end by the alien aggressors.

Still none of mattered to him anymore. He wouldn't be getting of the planet anyway; he had made peace with his fate. It almost felt fitting that he would join the rest of his team rather then returning to the lone wolf operative he had been for the last ten years.

He had made sure to get the package UNSC Pillar of Autumn; the game changer as Doctor Halsey had referred to it as. He couldn't see how a single Artificial Intelligence the war in their favour especially after not only losing Reach, but a good portion of their military; but he wasn't going to question orders, even if they did come from a civilian.

After delivering the Package and handing it to Captain Keyes, he had chosen to stay behind to man the Onagar to clear the skies of Covenant aircrafts so that the Autumn could escape; perhaps if Noble Four had been taken out by an Elite then he would've escaped on the Autumn…. But even if Emile hadn't been taken out, he doubted he could just leave him there to die alone while he escaped.

Shaking his head, the former ONI operative focused on the approaching Phantom dropship that he could make out in the distance. Lifting his DMR up and resting in his arms, B312 walked down the steps of the platform and headed off to in the direction of the dropship.

Passing the bodies of a group of marines that laid near the overturned bunker, the Spartan-III took the opportunity to think about the events that had ultimately brought him to that day.

He could still remember it clearly as if it happened yesterday when the Covenant had discovered his home, Jericho VII in 2535; he had only been around four years old at the time mind you, but witnessing his home glassed and his family murdered in front of you tends to leave a lasting impression.

He would've joined the countless victims that had their lives cut short that day had it not been for the intervention of a green armoured giant with the numbers 117 engraved on their chest piece; it wasn't until much later until he learnt that it had been a Spartan that had rescued him, making sure that he got to the transport ship.

After spending nearly two years in an orphanage that the UEG sent all the children that were under sixteen, he had been visited by an ONI Opertive; of course at the time he hadn't known that, in truth he had been surprised that anyone wanted to see him. Most adults that were looking to adopt wanted a normal kid, not those that had been fucked up by the Covenant.

After a brief introduction and offering him their condolences for his parents' deaths they offered him the chance to have his revenge; something that plagued his thoughts since he had witnessed it. Now he would've questioned that offer, who asked a seven-year-old boy if he wanted his revenge against those that had stolen everything from him? Of course he did! Who wouldn't?

But back then the only thing he felt was hate. He hated the aliens that destroyed his life, he hated himself for being so weak and freezing up as the Elite charged at him; and he hated how he was forced to live in a place wasn't his home, in a world where his mother was gone and he was all alone.

He jumped at the chance and was adopted by the man before being sent to Onyx, a place that he would forever consider his home. Though just because he had been offered a place on the SPARTAN-III program didn't mean he had a place. From the moment that he and the other candidates arrived they had to prove that they not only wanted it badly, but were worthy enough to be Spartans; something that was hard enough when your trainers happened to be a former Spartan-II and the man that had trained them.

Noble Six frowned as he thought about the rest of Beta Company, more specially how most of them had died during Operation: TORPEDO. Maybe he was being arrogant but if he had been there could he have saved any of them or would he just be another casualty? He suspected it would be the latter, only Tom and Lucy managed to survive that bloodbath, but even then, she wasn't the same Lucy that he had grown up with and befriended.

It saddened him to think it but perhaps she never would be again; Not that anybody at ONI would care. The only ones that did were Kurt and Mendez, even if the latter refused to show it.

Looking at the radar at the corner of his HUD, he saw it blip as a dot kept flickering. Swinging his DMR he felt the weapon hit against something as the active camo around the hidden Elite flickered revealing itself to the Spartan. Kicking it to the ground he reached for Kat's Magnum and fired a round into its head. As its head went limp, he reached down and stole the Energy Blade, placing it on his right hip.

Seeing more dots appear n the radar, Noble Six looked around to see the silhouettes of many different species of aliens moving through the thick smoke and ash. Firing the Magnum, Six killed a few unsuspecting Covenant emptying the magazine.

Quickly reloading, B312 placed the weapon back on his hip before using the DMR to take down several Grunts and Jackals before he retreated to a small ruined bunker that a group of Spartans and Marines had either tried to defend or gotten cornered in before perishing.

Pushing himself up against the wall, B312 reloaded his rifle before peaking over the wall to see a swarm of Brutes, Grunts and Elites. Glancing over to where the bodies were laying, he saw a handful of weapons that had been dropped; though the Grenade Launcher and Rocker Launcher stuck out to him.

Strapping the Grenade Launcher onto his back, he grabbed the Rocket Launcher. Resting it on his shoulder he aimed on the Elite; a General Class unless he was mistaken. Firing at the Sangheili, the rocket made contact shattering their shields and taking out several the Grunts beside them.

Roaring as his shields popped, the Elite rolled to the left and fired their plasma rifle at him, bolts hammered into him raising his own shields as the Spartan kept focusing on the Elite. Pulling the trigger again he fired the last rocket obliterating the General.

Reaching over his shoulder, Six grabbed the M319 before firing at the remaining ground. The grenade landed near the brutes emitting an EMP that disabled their shields. Firing another at them, B312 looked on as the explosion killed the overgrown monkeys sending them through the air.

Hearing the Grunts scream seeing both the Brutes and General killed before them they dropped their weapons and retreated. Refusing to allow the stocky built aliens to get away after all they had done, Six fired the M319 at them, the grenade exploding as it hit taking them out.

Seeing the Covenant ground force coming to engage him, Six clenched his fist as a Wraith emerged from the fog and headed towards him. Pulling the shaft down he looked to see an empty chamber void of any ammunition. Gritting his teeth, he tossed the weapon to the side and leered the Covenant tank as an idea formed in his head.

Racing forward he easily reached speeds that athletes could only dream of and headed to meet the Wraith head on. Almost as if it was accepting his challenge, the Wraith sped up passing Covenant infantry; the Elite gunner fired the plasma turret at him making the Lone Wolfs' shields shimmer around him as they absorbed as much damage as they could before shattering.

The Lieutenant pressed forward ignoring the crack that formed in the corner of his visor as he sprinted to the Wraith; he teethed clenched as he felt the bolts burrowed into the exposed tech suit that was unprotected by armour. When it was a few meters in front of him he suddenly stopped and activated his Armour Lock; as the metallic tank hit him the front bended around him before exploding killing both the driver and gunner in an instant.

Deactivating the Armour Lock, Six watched as the Grunts and Jackals turned tail and retreated leaving only the Elites that snarled at him, their mandibles opening showing the teeth.

Smirking behind the golden visor, Noble Six smirked as he observed the Elites that began stalking towards him. Slowly placing his DMR on his back, the Hyper Lethal reached down to grab the Energy Blade and activated; the twin blades of plasma hissing to life.

Charging forward kicking some dirt as he did, the Spartan killed the first Elite by thrusting the sword through their abdomen and gave it a twist ensuring it felt as much pain as possible before it died. Pulled the handle right to get it back, the blade sliced through the flesh and armour with ease.

As the blade was removed from the Elite and fell, Six grabbed their Energy Blade and charged at the others that fired at him. Meeting another he slashed through it removing its legs from the waist; his shields popped as a barrage of rounds hammered against him, but he didn't care as he slashed and stabbed his way through the horde of Elites.

Six saw more cracks begin to form on his visor clouding his vision. Grabbing his helmet he ripped it off and tossed it to the side revealing a young man that had a mop of shaggy black hair, dark blue eyes that was filled with rage, pale white skin that his black hair made stand out even more, and the start of a black beard.

Moving forward he thrusted his blade into another Elite, the sword fizzled before the blade disappeared entirely leaving him with a handle. Ducking underneath a Sangheili arm as they tried to remove his head, Six used the handle to bludgeon their skull; a hard strike shattered the shields, then delivered another, Six knocked them to the ground and used the other still active sword to pierce their throat.

A single zealot charged at him while his back was turned and knocked him down.

Dropping the sword, B312 rolled on his back to see the Zealot leap at him. Bringing his leg up he knocked them back with a hard kick. To the side another Zealot class appeared and trust their Energy Sword at him; rolling to avoid it, Six rolled back and hit it across the face making it stumble dropping the sword.

Shaking its head, the Zealot activated its Energy Dagger and lunged at him again. Reaching down he grabbed Kat's Magnum and emptied the clip on the first Elite, eliminating the shield then fired the last round through their skull.

Six was dropped the pistol as he reached up with both hands to grab the forearm of the other Zealot that tried to slice his throat. His arms trembled as the Elite used their body weight to push the dagger down.

"So, this is it?" the former lone wolf operative asked himself as sweat rolled down his face and he bared his teeth. "This is how I go out? Alone and a knife through my throat?" He asked nobody as he struggled to keep his arms up.

It was then that everything came back to him. Losing his family, gaining a even larger one in the form of Beta company, his training on Onyx, working directly for ONI dealing with the Insurrectionists; and finally meeting Noble Team…and watching them all fall one by one.

That last thought angered him.

Carter.

Kat.

Emile.

Jorge.

They had all died because of them, because of their fucking religion. They needed to suffer, they needed to pay for they had done to him, to the rest of humanity for the last twenty-seven years.

Gaining new life, Six kneed the Zealot in the gut, winding them. Then delivered another, and another until the armour groaned; hitting him in the chest again the Elite stumbled forward and the dagger embedded itself into the ground close to his neck.

Smacking him across the jaw and knocking it off him, Beta 312 struggled to get to his feet. Once he did, he grabbed his combat knife from his sheath and fell on top of the Elite stabbed him in the back of the neck, killing them.

The super soldier panted heavily as he fell to one knee and tried to catch his breath. His entire body shook as he took deep breaths and scanned the area to countless alien bodies and the Wraith burning behind him.

"I-I'm alive." He uttered in disbelief before a chuckled exited from his mouth. Shaking his head, he tried to get up; his legs shaking as he did so, only to fall backwards. Hitting the ground with a thump, the Lieutenant stared up to see that the stars start to become visible in the sky.

Sighing to himself, the infamous Lone Wolf had no choice but to lay there. He felt tired if he was honest, like he hadn't slept in months. He forced his eyelids open as began to lower, and again. Maybe sleeping didn't sound too bad right now.

Noble Six eyes snapped open only to shut as quickly as they opened due to the blinding light that-well blinded him. Once he adjusted to the light, he opened them up once again to see a solid ceiling rather than the open sky that he was expecting to see once he woke up again. Pushing himself up off the bed he had woken up on, the Spartan rolled his stiff shoulders that felt tight. Glancing around the room he had woken up in it looked pretty Spartan. The bed he was laying in turned out to be an operating table. There was a lone Holo-pedestal of unknown design that had strange glowing orange lines running up it.

Looking down he realized that he was wearing a brand-new body skin that felt incredible against his skin. Bringing up his arm he turned his hands around to examine the tech suit and saw that the material had a scale-like design.

Letting his arms fall to his side, the Spartan frowned as he became aware that the armour of the Mark V was nowhere to be seen.

"Where am I? "The Spartan asked the obvious question as he tried to piece together how he had arrived there. He was certain that he had passed out on the battlefield so either the Covenant had taken him prisoner (which was highly unlikely) or a passing UNSC group or even ONI had managed to locate him and treated his injuries.

"Six!" A woman voice exclaimed, a voice with a British accent that he instantly recognized " Thank goodness. I was worried that…well none of that matters now."

"Dot?" The Spartan asked looking around the room.

His question was soon answered as the pedestal gained a small blue light before an Artificial Intelligence appeared at the top. The A.I had long dark hair that caressed down her back, bright blue eyes, soft facial features and had a light blue glow typical of most A. I's; and was wearing a blue skin-tight body skin of her own. (1)

"Yes, Lieutenant. "Dot replied with a soft smile confirming her identity to the Spartan. "I'm relieved to see you up and about." She added, showing a lot of emotion for a Dumb A.I, especially for her.

"Dot? "The Spartan asked again, blinking a few times just in case he was dreaming; though why he would be dreaming about Dot having a human form was anyone's guess.

"Your…different." Six remarked, struggling to find the right word to describe her.

"That I am." Dot agreed looking up at him. "But for the better." She assured the sixth member of Noble Team.

"What's happened to you?" The Hyper Lethal questioned her, tilting his head slightly. "The last time I saw you, you had no human avatar, nor…"

"I was upgraded, extensively I might add." The A.I explained to the super soldier." When I arrived here the Monitor tasked with watching over the facility activated and found me. After a lengthy conversation he agreed to upgrade me."

"Monitor?" Alex-B312 repeated, her story confusing him. "Like a computer terminal?" His question got an amused smile from the A.I.

"No, the term Monitor is what the Forerunners named one of their most advanced A. I's." Dot explained. "The package that Doctor Halsey asked you to deliver, the "Game Changer" would be the equivalent of a floppy disc to any Forerunner A.I; any other human A.I, my previous state included would be worse than that."

"Hold up!" Six said raising his hand." Forerunner?"

"They were a species that were once the dominant race of the Milky Way galaxy; all that remains of them now is there technology. They're the ones that the Covenant worship as their Gods."

"What's so special about it?" The Spartan shrugged. "Beside their religion?

"Everything!" Dot declared. "The Covenant treat every scrap of technology like holy artefacts, and for good reason. Despite how far mankind has evolved, comparing themselves to the Forerunners…well it like comparing the UNSC to their ancestors that lived in caves."

"If you say so." The Lone Wolf retorted." So, where are we? Last thing I remember is passing out."

"In the Forerunner facility I've been talking about." She answered with a pointed look." Keep up, Lieutenant. As to where we are specifically, then about three hundred feet behind the surface, hence why the Covenant haven't managed to locate us yet; but not from a lack of trying."

"When you passed out of the surface, we managed to find you thanks to your SPARTAN Interface. Once we did Eternal Vigilance opened up a Slip-Space portal and had the Sentinel bring you here and improve you."

"Improve me?" The Spartan asked slowly as he narrowed his eyes at her. He wasn't too pleased to hear that his body had been played with without his consent.

"You have every right to be annoyed, I probably would be too if our roles were reversed and I was…well human, but it was either that or I watch you die. Scans showed that without intervention then you would've died; I have no idea if Jun managed to get to CASTLE, so right now it's just me and you…I wasn't just going to let you die."

Before Alex could say anything the door at the end of the room opened alerting the Spartan. Looking passed the pedestal he watched as a silver ball that had a blue light in the centre floated into the room and hovered over to them, a metallic humming echoing as it got closer.

"Good Morning, Ancilla Dot." The sphere greetedDot, though what exactly the term Ancilla meant was lost on the super soldier." Have you come to see the condition of the Reclaimer? I'm sure he will…" The orb assured Dot, only to stop mid conversation realising that he was no longer on the table.

"Oh! you're awake, wonderful! I'm glad to see that my makers inheritors still possess the same tenacity as your predecessors!" The sphere exclaimed overjoyed to see him up and about.

"Reclaimer?" Noble Six asked tilting his head." Why're you call me that?"

"Apologies, Reclaimer. I forget I am getting ahead of myself." The silver sphere looked down and shook left to right like it was shaking his head." Allow me to introduce myself, Reclaimer. I am Eternal Vigilance, the monitor tasked with maintaining this station."

"Reclaimer. You've referred to me as that a few times now, why?"

"Reclaimer is the term that my makers classified your race as before their demise." Vigilance revealed to the Spartan-III commando." They believed that the time would come when mankind would take up the Mantel and become the peacekeepers that they had been before their fall; protecting all life in the galaxy from harm, whether that be from themselves or from other species; only using extreme force when warfare turned to genocide."

"Little late for that. "Six uttered bitterly.

"I am aware of the state of the Milky Way, Reclaimer. "The monitor returned, clearly hearing what he had uttered. "But as I informed Ancilla Dot, none of this was supposed to happen. The San'Shyuum have manipulated and schemed their way into power, destroying "everything" that the Forerunners had planned. They desperately wanted to avoid you following in their footsteps, from making the same mistakes as they and your ancestors did. However, history looks to be repeating itself."

"Ancestors?"

"Indeed." Vigilance said, his eye staring at the super soldier. "There was once existed a version of Humanity that had an empire that rivalled my creators. They possessed thousands of worlds throughout the Orion Arm; all defended by massive Orbital arches that could tear through Forerunner ships with ease."

After dropping that little bombshell, the Forerunner monitor began explaining in detail about the Forerunners, The Mantel, the Ancient Humans and finally about the monstrosity known only as the Flood. The parasite that Humanity had first encountered, and despite all their advancements proved to be no match for it. However due to a misunderstanding, Humanity was forced to fight two wars at once, the Human-Flood and Human-Forerunner wars that ravished them most of their resources that ultimately resulted in their defeat.

After that began the Forerunner-Flood that the former lost thanks to the resources, soldiers and planets that the Flood consumed during the Human-Flood war. Knowing that they had lost, the Forerunners began building the ultimate weapon that would manage to destroy the Flood once and for all...but also every single organic race in the Milky Way Galaxy. After the Life-Workers catalogued every single species, the Commander of the Forerunner military the Iso-Didact activated the Halo arrays that sent out a pulse killing every single sapient creature aside from the Forerunners that were aboard the ARK or had taken shelter in the Shield Worlds. As for what happened to the Forerunners...well nobody really knew. They simply left the Milky Way and headed to an entirely new galaxy to begin again.

"Well! "Dot began after remaining silent as the monitor updated Six about the Forerunner, Ancient Humans and the Flood. "Now you're up to date with everything, I believe now would be the appropriate time to head to the armoury."

"Armoury?"

"Of course, Reclaimer. "Eternal did what B312 assumed was an equivalent of a nod. "This facility is equipped with a fully stocked medical facility, armoury, living quarters and laboratory. "He informed the Spartan before it turned around and headed towards the door that it had entered through earlier. "If you will follow me, I'll show you the armoury."

Doing as instructed, the Lieutenant headed after the Forerunner monitor and left the room, Dot meanwhile disappeared from the pedestal and headed towards the Armoury.

"So, what can you tell me about my augmentations? "Six decided to ask the monitor as he followed after him.

"Well for starters you new augmentations are organic rather than artificial like the ones you were originally augmented with; the same that were issued to the Warrior-Servants, though adapted to human biology. They work on increasing your abilities naturally such as increased strength, speed and reaction time. You will also notice that your eyesight, smell and hearing has improved drastically from before. You still have the ability to see in the dark but that has been improved; plus, we have injected nanites into your bloodstream."

"For what purpose?"

"Well for one they will quickly work on eradicating any diseases that you happen to pick up that could cause you great bodily harm. Then there is your lifespan, from what Construct Dot tells me humans are lucky to reach a hundred and twenty; so, they will work on keeping your body at its prime…such as your current age." The Monitor explained to the Spartan-III.

"They will also allow you to stay in contact with Do while you're not wearing your armour. "Vigilance finished.

The Spartan was beyond impressed with everything he heard; no easy feat for a Spartan, though seeing as concerning warfare then it piqued his interest. With his new organic augmentations, then he was no doubt one of the most advanced Spartans in history. If he could get back to Earth then humanity finally had a chance of ending the war.

Once the Monitor finished explaining everything about his augmentation, they finally reached the armoury where Six saw machines mass productising weapons and ammo both UNSC and weapons with the same orange lines that the rest of the facility had. What drew his attention however was the set of black Mjolnir Mark V that was stationed in the back.

A smile formed at the sight of his armour; well it was more than that. The Mjolnir was an extension of himself. Unlike the rest of Noble Team, or the Spartan-III had had access to Mjolnir, his was just the mainline version of the Mark V [B] variant. The only thing that was customized was the TACTPAD on his wrist.

"You fixed my helmet?" Noble Six remarked, his eyes locked onto the golden visor that had cracked on Reach.

"No, Reclaimer." Eternal answered floating beside him. "When the sentinels managed to locate you, your helmet was nowhere in sight, and your armour had been damaged beyond all repair. Thankfully we managed to acquire the blueprints of the Mark V to construct you a new set. I had planned to just give you the armour that the Warrior-Servant were issued with seeing as how "Spartans" seem to be their equivalent…. but Ancilla Dot disagreed."

"After we applied the technology of my makers and integrated it into your Mjolnir, your armour is now classified as a class 12 combat skin, the same as the Warrior-Servants. "The Forerunner Monitor stated to the Spartan.

"What was the Mark V classed as?"

"Class 2."

That blew the Spartan-III away, if his old armour was only ranked a 2, then how powerful would his new suit be?

"I like to call it the Mark VIII." Dot's voice rang through the armour, startling Noble Six. He had almost forgotten that she was there.

"Aren't you missing a few generations there?" Six asked her looking around the room for any pedestal she would materialize on. "Like the Mark VI and VII for instants?"

"No," Dot answered." The Mark VI has already been created, and the Mark VII is in development. So, I saw no reason why we shouldn't dub this the Mark VIII. I'm sure if Doctor Halsey was in my place, she'd do the same."

Probably." Six agreed with her.

"We also removed your energy shields and replaced them Hard-Light shields known as an N-Barrier, a form of Hard-Light shield far superior to the energy shields that either humanity or the Covenant have developed." Eternal Vigilance spoke up," Please don't misunderstand, Reclaimer. You're by no means invulnerable, take enough damage and your suit will break just like any piece of technology."

"Understood."

"Furthermore, we've added armour modules into the armour. Ancilla Dot informed me about the armour abilities that humanity has created for the Mjolnir, such as the Active Camouflage, Armour Lock, Bubble Shield; we installed all those and added a few that my markers invented before their demise such as a solid Hard-Light shield." He explained to the Hyper Lethal." And as you can see, your Mjolnir comes equipped with thrusters, allowing you to reach those hard to reach places."

"Can I try it on?" The Spartan-III asked, turning his head to look at the Forerunner Monitor.

"Certainly, Reclaimer." The Monitor explained." If you could stand straight and spread your arms for me, please."

Six raised a brow at the request but complied. As he did his eyes widened as individual pieces of the Mjolnir lifted off the stand and levitated over to him, starting with the chest and back that clicked together as they pressed against the tech suit, followed by the arms, legs and boots; before the helmet flew towards him. Reaching out he grabbed it before connecting it to the rest of his armour.

"Incredible." B312 uttered in amazement as he watched the HUD power up. As it did the suits shields pinged as they activated, a light generating around him.

"I think he likes it." Dot tittered in amusement.

"I concur." Eternal Vigilance bobbed as Six clenched his fists to get a feel for his new armour. "On top of all the upgrades we've made, we've added new technology to your armour."

"Such as?"

"Your armour now had a built-in slip-space storage system. It can now store your weapons, ammo and medical supplies for quicker use when out in the field. You can still place weapons on your person, but you'll now have a larger selection of weapons that you can use. Now to access your weapons all you need to do is raise up your arm and bring up your Tactical pad on your wrist to select what you want, or if Ancilla Dot is with you then she can do it for you" The Monitor explained to the Spartan who nodded in understanding.

"Now onto your weapons. "The Monitor said as it floated over to one of the tables where the stockpile of weapons was located. "Thanks to Ancilla Dot showing me what kind of weapons Humanity uses now compared to the prehistoric Humans. We have managed to create some weapons and ammunition for you, plus some of the Weapons that my creators used." The Monitor informed him

The Demon glanced down at the table to see various weapons that had been built while he had been sleeping. His eyes suddenly stopped at what looked like a BR55 Battle Rifle, only its design was slightly different. Picking it up, the Spartan thoroughly examined the weapon to get a feel for it. He noted that the weapon was perfect for both long- and short-range targets, yeah, he loved the weapon already.

"That model is known as the BR85 Heavy Barrel Service Rifle. A weapon that hasn't been developed yet but is planning to soon for the UNSC." Eternal reveal the Lieutenant who hadn't taken his eyes from the Battle Rifle. "Though it had an attachment that augments knockback and damage against vehicles."

Nodding at the Monitor, Noble Six gazed at all the weapons that were on the table that ranged from Assault Rifles, Shotguns, DMR's, Sniper Rifles, Magnums, Spartan Lasers, SAW's and Forerunner weapons that he had never seen before. As he was examining the weapons, they suddenly gained a blue tint before they disappeared, the light meanwhile headed directly to B312 tactpad and entered it.

"They went into my tactpad?"Six asked the Forerunner Monitor who rocked back and forth.

"Correct, Reclaimer. You can access them if you like." The Monitor answered. Bringing up his arms, the Spartan began playing around with his tactpad to get a general idea how this slip-space storage system worked. Once he got accustomed to it, he searched for the gun he wanted, the Battle rifle. Once he found it in the inventory screen, he tapped the touch screen causing a blue light to appear in his hand. Gripping the light, he watched as the Battle Rifle materialized in his hands, much to his astonishment.

"What about ammo? "The Spartan asked the Monitor as he turned his head to look at the floating sphere.

"They're in your storage system with your weapons. Whenever you need a fresh magazine simply repeat the process that you used to get your weapon or Ancilla Dot will do it for you. "The Monitor told the Spartan. If the Forerunner were as advanced as this then it made sense why the Covenant worshipped them like gods, didn't mean he liked it though.

Before Six could say anything, the facility began to shake.

"What's going on, Vigilance?" Dot asked alarmed.

"It would appear that theses Covenant have located us." Vigilance answered grimly. "It was only a matter of time until they did."

"Show me where they are." Six ordered gripping his weapon, a determined look behind his visor.

"No, Reclaimer." The Monitor denied him. "My makers technology cannot fall into Covenant hands; it belongs to you." He said." Ancilla Dot, I have transferred all my knowledge, blueprints and experimental technology to you; I hope for a swift end to your war…too many have already died, far too many."

"Exactly, we can't let the Covenant take this station." Dot said speaking for him.

"There won't be a station for them to have." Vigilance returned evenly.

"Y-you mean."

"It must be done, Ancilla Dot." He said regretfully." But I go knowing that you both will continue my makers legacy."

"Thank you for everything you've done for both Six and myself, will never forget you."Dot promised.

"Thank you, Construct. I have enjoyed your company. "The Monitor returned before he bid farewell to both Six and Dot then exited the room and headed back the way he had come.

"We're just going to let him go?" Six asked her looking around the room.

"Its what he wants." She spoke softly. "We should respect his wishes." She added quietly, clearly distressed that a fellow A.I was giving his life to destroy everything they had held dear.

"So about you, Dot? "The Spartan asked Noble Teams A.I as he looked around the room, currently unsure of her location. "I'm not leaving you here for the Covenant to find."

"OH! "Dot's voice echoed throughout the room. "How stupid of me, "She chided herself almost like she was face-palming. "See that pedestal beside the portal?"

"Yeah."Alex acknowledged as he wandered over to the pedestal. Once he was directly in front of it, he spotted a crystal A.I chip that had glowing orange lines that seemed to be heading towards the middle of the circle in the middle of the chip. The chip certainly looked more advanced then the chips he had seen in the past.

"Well that's the data crystal that Vigilant constructed for me. With this I can connect with your Mjolnir and become your first A.I partner, if you want me to that is."

"We're a team. "Six shrugged before he removed the chip from the pedestal then inserted it into the back of his helmet. The moment that he did he felt a cold shiver run down the back of his spine that was rather uncomfortable.

"You okay? "Dot's voice seemed to ask directly into his head, a surreal experience.

"Fine, "Six waved off his new partners concern. "It'll just take some time to adjust is all."

"I understand. "Dot seemed to agree. "But for now, you should run through the portal before it closes. "She advised the Spartan.

"You expect me to run through an unknown portal that will transport us who knows where?"B312 asked incredulously. Sure, he had made a career doing the impossible or pulling off suicide missions, but he liked to think that he still had a little bit of common sense.

"We have no choice now, Lieutenant. Every single ship that was on Reach have left the planet after extracting the civilians and UNSC personnel, meaning that we either use this portal or we stay at the facility and hope that a ship happens to pick up your IFF tag, and the chances of that are slim to none with how far we're under the surface."

"Where does it go?"

"I don't know." Dot confessed earning a look from the Spartan.

"Come again?"

"Me and Vigilant didn't have the time to properly set the coordinates to Earth; but as I said we have no choice…. especially since this station is about to be destroyed."

"I get it." Noble Six relented with a sigh. Guess he had no choice. "Let's go then."

"You're the one with the legs, Six, not me." Six ignored his partner jibe as he darted towards the portal and raced through it, leaving the Forerunner Facility behind him.

A few weeks after Six used the portal

Trailing through the forest on horseback was one of the few remaining Witchers, Geralt of Rivia, the fabled White Wolf. A professional monster slayer from the school of the Wolf. His reason for being in the forest was because he was on the hunt for his target, an armoured demon or armoured giant as the locals had called him. The armoured "thing" had apparently entered town and slaughtered a group of peasants for reasons unknown.

The "thing" spoke perfect English, so it clearly was no new breed of troll. The description of the armoured being was rather odd too and Geralt would be lying if he said that he wasn't interested in discovering just what this creature was. The demon was wearing black armour that covered their entire body from head to toe, including a helmet that had orange glass where the face should be and using a strange device that made crossbows seem obsolete.

Coming to a halt, Geralt climbed of his horse known as Roach just like he had named all the others in the past. The Witcher had pure white hair that was tied into a high ponytail, pale white skin with a few scars but the most noticeable thing about him was dark-gold eyes that had cat-like pupils, he stood around 6'0. he was wearing a long black travailing cloak with a steel and silver swords strapped to his back.

"Stay here."Geralt told Roach in his usual gruff voice that he was known for before he headed into the forest where the armoured "thing" was last located a few days ago. As he was walking through the forest he stopped when he saw large and heavy footprints in the ground. So, his hunch had been correct, and the armoured demon had been through this way...good to know he wasn't wasting his time.

Climbing to his feet, the Witcher continued walking through the woods where he saw the corpse of a werewolf with its head being taken clean from its shoulders with a sharp blade with the head laying next the body. It took a lot of strength to take a head clean off, it was easy for a Witcher thanks to their superior strength compared to regular humans, elves and dwarfs.

He was taken off guard when he heard a sound but before he could react, he was tackled to the ground..."hard" that knocked the wind out of the Witcher...maybe broke a few ribs too. He looked up when he felt a blade against his jugular and saw the golden glass that belong to the armoured giant.

"Identify yourself. "The creature demanded as he pressed the knife closer to the Witchers'throat, "I wouldn't advise lying."

"Geralt of Rivia."Geralt begrudgingly told him, seeing he wasn't going anywhere without using one of his signs and with how close that knife was, he didn't want to take any chances with him slipping.

"Why are you here?"

"There's a bounty on you…. for killing those peasants in the village." Geralt explained to him.

"They raped a woman...they deserved to die for their crime. "The armoured thing told him blankly. Nobody had told the witcher this bit of information...sure a contract was a contract, but he would rather not take the coin off rapists. "Are you working with them?"

"No, I'm no rapist. I'm a Witcher." The white wolf told him making the giant tilt his head by the side slightly. Geralt guessed the term Witcher confused him.

"You don't seem to be lying. "The giant muttered before he climbed up and offered a hand to Geralt who took it a little hesitantly before he was pulled up from the ground with the demon putting his knife back in its sheath on his chest.

"I get the feeling you're not from around here." Geralt commented as he looked up at the 7'5 giant.

"Something like that. "He muttered before he turned from the Witcher and walked through the forest in the direction that he originally came from. Geralt was conflicted about his next decision was, as he could 1) kill it and collect the bounty or 2) try and discover just what it was and where it came from. Making his choice, Geralt sprinted off in the giant's location.

"It was only a matter of time until the village sent somebody after us…. still his eyes weird, wasn't they?" Dot asked her partner through the comms of the armour.

"A little. "Six replied to her as he looked at the radar to see a blip making him turn around to see Geralt running after him.

"Yes?"

"You never told me your name." The white wolf said to Six once he came to a halt.

"Spartan-B312...or Noble Six. Whichever you like." Alex-B312 shrugged as he turned around again and continued walking with Geralt walking beside him.

"Spartan? Never heard of them before...what do you do?" The Witcher questioned him as they continued walking.

"Protect humanity."

"Not the elves, Dwarfs or the Halflings?"

"No... I'm not from these lands as you can see from the armour. My people have never met elves, dwarfs or halflings." The lieutenant of the U.N.S.C told the white wolf before Geralt saw that they were approaching a camp...what he wasn't expecting to see however was a young girl sitting in front of the fire.

The girl was around nine years old with jet black hair that was tied up in a ponytail, icy blues eyes, a light skin complexion and stood a little short around 4'6. She was wearing a black robe around her to keep her warm from the wind that was blowing through the forest. Geralt saw as her eyes brightened up once her eyes landed on the Spartan and ran over to him.

"Where did you go, Six?" The little girl questioned the Spartan who patted her shoulder gently.

"Had to deal with a problem. "The Spartan-III told her pointing his thumb in Geralts direction. "You should be in bed." He told her as he looked down at the kid who shuffled awkwardly in her spot.

"I saw you leaving...I thought that you might have abandoned me."The little girl mumbled softly herself.

"I told you I wouldn't, Eva."Six told her. "Now, return to bed...we head out tomorrow morning." Six told her getting a small nod from her before she walked over to the spot that she had been sleeping in before and laid down near the fire.

"That's the daughter of the woman they raped. "Six told the Witcher as he looked down at him." So I slaughtered them all."

"Where are you heading next? Winters approaching, the wilds are no place for a child."Geralt asked the Spartan as he looked around the camp.

"I'll find somewhere. "Six told him. "I promised her mother I would keep Eva safe and I intend to do just that." The Lone wolf of Noble team stated to the Witcher. He understood better than anybody what it was like to have your life taken from you.

"Most people wouldn't take a young girl with them."

"I'm not most people. "Six replied to him as he looked at Eva by the fire who closed her eyes, a small smile forming.

"So, are all people as tall as you where you're from or are you special? "The white wolf asked him hoping to know more about the giant man.

"No... I was "changed" a long time ago." The Spartan-III told him as he looked up at the moon, it would be a few more hours until dawn. It was time for him and Eva to get moving from the area anyway. More people would come after them soon and he promised Eva's mother that he would keep her safe.

"I have an suggestion for you'd if you like to hear it ? "Geralt asked the Spartan making him look down at him.

Alex studied the white haired Witcher for a moment before he tilted his head.

" Go on"

" As you're not from around here and have the kid to look after, you could come with me back to the Witcher stronghold. "The Witcher offered as he began to give him the basics on what a Witcher was aside from that they took or used to take in children, train them and mutate them to become Witchers.

"You'd do that for a stranger?"

"You never asked to look after the girl, you did it regardless. Anybody who does that is okay in my books. Eva without the proper gear and clothes won't live through the winter." Geralt told the Spartan who conceded to his words.

"Very well then, Geralt. I accept your offer. "Six agreed as the two altered humans shook hands. "I'll find a way to pay you back."

"Don't worry about it." The White Wolf waved off the praise. It felt an awful lot like him and Ciri." We'll wait a few hours then we'll head of to the Witcher stronghold...it's a bit of a journey."

A few hours later just after dawn, Six had explained to Eva that they would be going with Geralt to a safe for the winter so that she could get some winter clothes and have some shelter for the winter season. After Eva introduced herself to Geralt and vice versa with Eva remarking that he wasn't as scary as people said he was getting a small smirk from the white wolf.

"You sure you don't want to go in the horse?" Six asked the Eva who was currently seated on his shoulders with her hands resting on his helmet to keep her balanced as she sat on his shoulders.

"Nah uh." Eva muttered to him as she enjoyed being so high up in the air.

"Well we should go; it'll take around a week and a half to get back." Geralt spoke up as he sat on Roach that trailed next to the Spartan at a slow pace oblivious to the fact that his previous augmentations and armour would've allowed him to do just that.

Hello! Sorry about the hiatus on this story. I was actually planning on scrapping this story and making a Elder Scrolls x Witcher crossover staring the Dragonborn; but I've already rewrite this story once and I don't really want to do it again, so instead of scraping it I'm making a few adjustments, such as getting rid of the Forerunner Monitor on the planet, as its not really needed IMO.

Oh, and I've changed his name and class of his armour…nothing major but I think a class 18 would be pointless there.

Also seeing as how Six and Dot if staring right from scratch could create the most basic technology that exist in real life then they could create a functioning colony/stronghold in time, filled with the most basic things such as electricity.

Anyway, as before the pairing is Six x Triss; that will be the main pairing if I don't do a Six x Multi; but if I chose too then this would be the pairings….

Six x Triss

Six x Linda-058 (Both lone wolves)

Six x Kelly-087 (Dem thighs)

Six x Ciri (Maybe)

Six x Miranda Keyes

Six x Keira Metz

Six x Ves

Six x Olympia Vale (again maybe)

Six x IIsa Zane (An odd pairing but considering that Six is the INI's Grim Reaper, and she not only received Spartan augmentations, but also controls a cell of her own then the two would be natural enemies; then she could become infatuated with the tales of the infamous Lone Wolf….a man that until they meet believed to be nothing more than a fable that ONI conjured up.)

Anyway, the next updated chapter will be out soon; and I mean soon!
