Chapter 17

As they faced each other Ryan studied Nott he noticed that the child was not a confident now that they were about to face off, he was also tense as a bow string and ready to snap but he also radiated a confidence that he could win. As he studied Nott's outward attitude he went over what he knew Nott to show in classes and how good he was a dueling and from there he came up with a plan.

Theadore on the other hand was nervous but was also knew that Potter was mediocre at everything but defense and also was sure that he had everyone fooled and was only using his lord to get close enough to kill him with ease. He shivered in pleasure at how he would be rewarded when he exposed this no good liar for what he truly was.

The two combatants met in the middle of the dueling platform and bowed "I will expose you for the liar you are Potter." Theadore said smirking knowing it would get Potter to lash out but was shocked with the reply

Ryan just raised an eyebrow at the boy before going back to his starting place and turning quickly in ready stance. He noticed that Nott was angry that his ploy did not work and knew that when you lost your temper in a battle you lose your logical mind as well.

Severus started the countdown after reiterating the rules set for the duel and as soon as he said three Nott fired his first spell "Locomotor Mortis!" he yelled out thinking that Potter would not block

Ryan just wordlessly did a protago shield charm making Nott's spell rebound causing Nott to have to dodge his own spell. Then he stood there waiting he would give the child one more chance then it was open season.

Nott yelled out another spell with a smirk on his face knowing this one would work and Potter would never again challenge him "Glacius Tria!" he watched as the spell hurtled at Potter.

Ryan was not impressed by the spell and knew it would be so easy to block it but he decided to let it hit as he could control ice to an extent as it was one of his elements that he had practiced with in his first life. When the spell hit it instantly froze him solid and he knew that Nott was thinking he won but then started to break the ice surrounding him down slowly at first and then faster and faster knowing that soon they would see the cracks forming on the outside of the ice making it clear that this was not over.

Theadore was smirking at how it had worked out as he had proven that Potter was nothing more than a fake as if he had been his Lords brother he would have been able to block that spell easily. "Now you see, he nothing more than a Liar and now I am a leader of the dark faction. Potter will be brought before the dark lord before days end and this farce will end." Nott then noticed Malfoy smirking and it pissed him off "What are you smirking at Malfoy, I am now your lord."

Draco snorted "I would not be so sure of that Nott, I don't think this is over."

"He is frozen in ice till I choose to release him it is over and now I am our lords partner!" Nott yelled but then he was in a body bind and faced planted. He did not understand no one had raised a wand and the only person who he could not see was in an ice tomb. Then he felt someone turn him over and he was shocked and terrified to find himself looking up into the eyes of Potter.

"Your right I could have easily deflected that spell Nott but let it hit me so you would hang yourself with your own words. If you had bothered to learn anything about me before challenging me you would have known that Ice is an element that I can control so It was easy to break out. You will now be taken to my brother and he will be the one to punish you in whichever way he sees fit. If you come back you would do well to abide by the rules of your lords which Draco and I are two of." Ryan then turned to Severus "Severus take Nott to my brother and tell him what happened her so Nott's punishment can be decided." Severus bowed and grabbed the boy and dragged him out through the common room till they were in his office and heading to the Dark Lord.

Ryan stood looking at all the Slytherin's in the room "Does anyone else wish to challenge me!" no one answered just bowed to their Lord. "Good, we reward loyalty. Disloyalty though has many punishments that last a long time. Remember who you fight for a why, remain loyal and you will go far in our ranks. Now everyone to bed we have a busy day tomorrow." and with Draco following he went to his and Draco's room to get ready for the next event of the night.
