Disclaimer- I do not own Lord of the Rings, Tolkien does.

A/N: OK, I don't know why I wrote this. Probably one too many stories about Legolas falling in love with Aragorn's daughter. Those kinda annoy me to an extent if they are not well written. But I have realized that one should not try to write humor late a night.

Aragorn sighed as he watched his daughter, Ariel, dancing with her new husband. //I can't believe my baby's married! It seemed like only yesterday she learned to call me 'Dada'.//

His eyes followed the newly wedded couple as they twirled across the ballroom. //And I can't believe she married one of my best friends! Why didn't I warn him against eyeing my daughter? If only I had seen it coming! I don't want my little girl to leave!//

"My husband, glaring at them won't make them unmarried." Arwen gently laid a hand on Aragorn's arm.

"I can try."

"They love each other, dear. Can't you just let them be happy?"

"No. He's my friend, and he stole my little girl away. Alas for the day I brought her to his realm!" Arwen stifled a giggle at her husband who was childishly pouting. "I would have thought a member of the Fellowship of the Ring would know better. He is too old for her!"

Arwen swatted his arm. "By that reasoning, I am too old for you. Yet we still married."

Aragorn just grumbled, not taking his eyes off the pair of blissfully happy newlyweds. Arwen threw her hands up and left to congratulate her daughter and son-in-law.
"I think it's funny."

The King of Gondor turned to face his friend. "What is funny?"

Legolas grinned. "It is funny that you cautioned *me* against even thinking about Ariel romantically. You warned the wrong person."

Aragorn growled at his friend, watching as Ariel leaned over to kiss her new husband, Gimli son of Gloin, Lord of the Glittering Caves.
