Wade blinked at Harley, was she really saying what he thought she was saying? Here she was before him, no costumed get-up or over-sized weaponry, just sweet normal Harley. Well as normal as a girl dipped in acid and topped with an abusive dick of a cherry could get.
"Her name is Lucy." Harley said looking like she wanted to hold the newborn in her arms forever.
"Lucy." Deadpool repeated softly. Harley pressed the tiny pink human into his arms, tears streaming down her face.
"I'll visit when I can." She said before leaving. Deadpool stayed silent, knowing it was hard enough for her to leave her child as it was. Lucy needed to be away from that life, away from the abusive dad and the only way that could happen was if she was away from her adoring mother as well. So while Deadpool wanted to drag Harley home with him and Lucy and make her see why she shouldn't go back to that garbage heap with green hair, he stayed silent. He turned and went home, baby in one arm and all the things a newborn would need in a bag over his shoulder.
"Peter!" Deadpool called as he stepped into their apartment. The boy's mop of brown hair peeked out from around the corner. "It's a girl."
"What?" Peter asked stepping out of the kitchen and staring blankly at the baby.
"Harley-" Deadpool began before Peter stopped him with an understanding nod. "Her name is Lucy."
"Well I guess I should set up a crib." Peter said sighing. "The guest bedroom will have to do."
"You'll have to take your mask off in front of her eventually." Peter laughed as Wade pulled on his mask.
"Not if I can help it." Deadpool smirked. They went in to check on her and Deadpool scooped her up, bouncing her as she gurgled happily. Her tiny chubby fists grabbed firmly onto his mask and he sighed. "Just like Spidaddy." He said chuckling and pulling his mask off. She screamed with laughter and began gnawing on his quickly soaked cowl.
"Yeah, she looks totally traumatized after seeing that mug of yours Wade." Peter said. "Or should I call you Dadpool?"
"Har har. He thinks he's so funny." Wade said.
