This is the final chapter! Omg! I've absolutely loved writing this story. Thank you guys so much for coming along the ride with me :) On with the last chapter...

It was just over four weeks later that Jace found himself getting ready to go down to the beach. It was going to be all of them going again—the guys from the garage, their girlfriends and Clary's friends. Clary had brought a new bikini that both the guys had widened their eyes at when they had seen. The bottoms were simple and black, tight together at both hips. The top was multi coloured, a halter neck fringe bikini, light green at the top, fading into light blue, fading into light yellow. It dipped down low between her breasts, only held together by a little string, the halter neck style pressing them together, and the fringe swung tantalizingly as it brushed over her stomach.

"Okay, now, that's not fair," Sebastian was the first to state.

"So we're meant to get through the whole day with you looking good enough to eat and not touch you in the way we want?" Jace added. Clary smirked at both of them, her eyes dancing as she picked up a light pink dress and tugged it over her head, letting it fall around her legs. It was a beach dress, so it was slightly see through, and as Clary turned on her heel and walked down the hall, leaving both boys in the bedroom, they were able to make out the silhouette of her legs through the dress.

"That's not fair," Sebastian repeated, shaking his head as he looked after her.

"Not fair at all," Jace agreed, grinning as he leaned down to pick up the beach bag that Clary had filled with towels, sunscreen and her wallet. Sebastian and Jace added their wallets as well, zipping it up as they headed out to the lounge. Clary was on her phone, standing on the balcony with her sunglasses on, big and taking up half her face. Standing in the sun, her dress was even more see through, and Jace knew that there wouldn't be any argument from Sebastian if he grabbed Clary's hand and dragged her back into the house and into both of their arms.

But it wasn't just Clary that would have her day put on hold if they do that, so Jace kept his libido in check.

"We're just about to leave now. We've got one spare seat if you want a ride," she offered. She waited a few minutes before nodding. "Alright, I'll see you there," she ended her call and looked over her shoulder to where the boys were putting on shoes. "Lydia is going to be a bit late, she's having problems with her car."

"She need us to pick her up?" Sebastian asked as he stepped out onto the deck with her.

"Nah," Clary shook her head and smirked. "Jonathan is gonna go pick her up, so you know that those two are going to be late." Jace rolled his eyes as he went through the front door as well, sliding it shut behind him and locking it. "That bag really brings out your eyes," Clary teased as she looked at the bag that was over Jace's shoulder, coloured bright purples and blues, and Jace just rolled his eyes at her.

"You riding with me or Jace?" Sebastian asked as the three walked off the deck and toward the garage.

"Jace," Clary grinned. "We'll meet you there." Sebastian nodded, leaning forward to give her a quick kiss on the temple and then reached past her to give Jace a light, farewell punch on the arm and circled around to his motorbike. He had his helmet on and was driving down the driveway a lot quicker than Jace and Clary, given Jace had to strap the canvas bag down and then wait until Clary had her helmet on and was safely settled behind him before he could go.

He loved riding with Clary.

Most of the time, she would take her car places, and it just made sense that the two boys would go in her car as well. When they did take their bikes, usually it was if it was just the two boys going out, so they were on their own bikes. But sometimes, Clary would agree to go out on their bikes, if they didn't need to take much or traffic was bad and a bike would get through a lot easier or if they were going somewhere that had limited parking. Like the beach, as they were today. Clary knew how to move when she was on a bike, she knew how to hold herself, and she trusted him implicitly. That would have come with being with Sebastian for as long as she had, she would have gotten used to being on a bike.

They'd had sex over Jace's bike once as well.

That had been hot.

Both of the boys had stayed late at work and Clary had gone out with some of her work friends for a few drinks after work, and her taxi had dropped her off just after the boys had gotten home. She was tipsy and she wandered into the garage and kissed both of them long and loud, ordered them to kiss each other, and then bent over Jace's bike with her ass in the air. Both boys had been wide eyed but more than willing to oblige, paying utter attention to her until her legs were sticky with her come and Jace's leather seat was going to need a wipe down, and then they finished one another off, leaning against the wall of the garage, hands wrapped around one another.

Things had been good.

They were all adjusting to the new relationship, and it was sometimes a bit messy and a bit complicated. There were things that Jace was still learning about both of them, he didn't have as much history with the two as they did with each other, and sometimes he felt as though he was intruding, as though he didn't belong, and he couldn't pick up on things as quickly as they did when it came to one another.

Sometimes he needed space. He had been independent and alone for so long that sometimes he felt as though things were too crowded.

They gave that to him.

They didn't push him or ask him where he went or tell him to stay.

They gave him the space he needed, and when he came back—whether it was after only a few hours or whether it was the next day, because he had spent the night at Alec and Magnus'—they welcomed him with open arms.

They didn't push him to talk about his mum.

They didn't push him to talk about Kaelie.

They didn't push him to talk about his life in New York.

And because of that, he was slowly opening up to them, telling them about his experiences. They didn't just take and listen, they showed parts of themselves as well, they opened up as well. Clary had already showed her most vulnerable thoughts, back when they were in the shower the morning before they took his mum home. Telling him about how she had felt about scared and insecure about his relationship with Sebastian. That wasn't something that he took lightly. Sebastian shared stories about his upbringing as well, things that Clary obviously already know, but still going into detail so that Jace knew as well.

They were all on ground that they hadn't broached before, but they were taking it slowly and they were learning each other, and they were falling in love.

Jace knew he damn sure was.

Sebastian and Clary were already head over heels for each other, but from the way that they looked at him, from the way that they touched, from the way that they were opening themselves up to him, he knew they were falling for him as well.

It was in the way Clary would roll away from Sebastian if he got up early and latch onto Jace, curling around him and murmuring his name softly under her breath.

It was in the way Sebastian would take him out once a week for a ride on their bikes along the beach front, just the two of them, stopping at the same cafe every time and holding his hand as they walked in.

It was in the way that the three of them would all crowd onto the one sofa when they were having a movie day or night, legs tangled together, bodies pressed together, kissing every now and then.

It was in the way that Sebastian had whispered last night that he loved Jace, as they were all going to sleep, and Clary's face was soft and warm and looked as though she was so happy she could melt into the floor. Jace hadn't been ready to return the sentiment, and Clary wasn't ready to say it, but that didn't matter, because there was no rush.

They had time.

"Over there!" Clary jerked at his shirt and then pulled her hand away to point toward the end of the car park, where Sebastian was getting off his bike. Jace drove slowly through the car park, carefully maneuvering around the families and people who were getting out of their cars and heading down to the beach. Jace parked his bike next to Sebastian's and Clary slid off his bike, not caring that her dress was all caught up around her waist and showing off her bikini bottoms before she arranged her dress properly. Jace reached out and slapped her ass playfully and Clary rolled her eyes at him and pulled the finger, although there was a grin on her face.

"Let's go," Sebastian urged, looking impatient to get down to the beach as he waited for Jace to get the beach bag unstrapped. Clary lead the way in front of them, her flip flops flicking up sand as she went. Sebastian and Jace followed behind her, Jace reached out and slipping his fingers between Sebastian's, and Sebastian shot a grin over to him as he squeezed his hand, letting them swing between them as they walked down.

Isabelle, Simon, Max, Alec and Magnus were already there, with a large beach umbrella set up and a few towels laid out. Alec was completely doting on his nephew, bouncing Max up and down in his arms and making sure that every inch of skin was covered in sunscreen. Magnus was staring at the two of them together with utter adoration, and Jace already knew that Magnus was conjuring up a hundred thoughts of Alec being this in love with their own kids. He hoped that it wasn't going to be long, because the pair of them would be amazing parents.

"Hey!" Isabelle spotted them first, twisting around where she was sitting and waving her arm at them. Clary skipped a bit faster, reaching their friends and giving them all hello hugs, leaning in to nuzzle her nose against Max's and then looking over her shoulder at her two boys.

The smile that she shot to them, after her eyes dipped down to their joined hands, was more blinding than the sun that was shining down from the sky.

Maia and Jordan were the next ones to arrive, and then Jem and his girlfriend, Tessa, who Jace had met once before. As Clary had predicted, Lydia and Jonathan were pretty late getting to the beach, and when they did, there was an obvious red mark at the base of Lydia's throat that was going to bruise into a hickey in a few hours time.

This time was so completely different to the other time that they had all come to the beach together, when Jace had first met Clary. He had been torn and confused, and he had almost hated Clary, which he knew had been irrational and completely unfair of him, because Clary had been nothing but good to him, even before he had met her. She had been more than willing for him to share the home that she had with Sebastian, and that was while she had viewed him as someone who was a threat. He hadn't known that at the time, he hadn't known that until they were in Denver, and that just made her even more special.

This time, he belonged.

They spent most of their time in the water, taking turns with who was staying in the shallows with Max. It felt good, the boys all wading out to the deep water, letting the waves crash over them, the girls staying a little further in. They were laughing and joking around and nothing was wrong. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, but it wasn't a burning heat, it was just right, and it warmed the water around them. When they got hungry, they went up to the burger bar to eat. Clary didn't bother with her dress, since they were right on the front of the beach, and she sat with her ass in Sebastian's lap and her arm around his neck, and her foot hooked around Jace's ankle, stealing from his chips every chance she got.

Tomorrow, he was going to visit his mother for the first time. They had only spoken on the phone a few times, but she sounded as though she was trying her hardest to stick with the program that had been set in front of her. Sebastian and Clary had offered to come, and they hadn't been offended when he said no, but he would want to meet them after, at their favourite cafe, which was close by the rehab.

Everything was as close to perfect as it would ever get, and Jace's heart sometimes felt so full that it would burst out of his chest.

"You're thinking pretty hard," Clary murmured to him as they were all walking back to the beach, Simon running out in front of them with Max in his arms, spinning him around and joyful giggles exploding out of the little boy. "Everything good?"

"Yeah," Jace reached out and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her in close to his side. "Yeah, everything's incredible." Clary's eyebrows raised in surprise at that answer, but then she smiled and raised up on her toes to kiss him on the mouth. Sebastian was walking in front of them, next to Alec and Jordan, and he turned around just as the two were pulling apart. He grinned at them, and it looked as though he was about to say something, but his foot got stuck on some drift wood and he stumbled down, tumbling into the white sand. Jace let out a laugh and jogged forward to put out his hand, to help Sebastian up. When Sebastian took it, though, he just tugged hard and Jace fell forward, off balance, landing on top of Sebastian. When Jace pulled back, Sebastian was still grinning, and he lifted his head from the sand to kiss Jace on the mouth.

"Okay, come on, love birds," Magnus sung out as he side stepped to avoid them and rolled his eyes and looked back at Clary. "You need to get your boys under control, biscuit!" He teased her. Clary just laughed.

Her boys.

Jace liked that.

Like he had said to her.

Everything was incredible.
