A/N: So, considering the fact that my last Clannibal story got so much love, I've decided to make a new one-shot... This time, it's a little longer... :)... I hope you guys enjoy...
The brilliant psychiatrist and the brilliant FBI agent were quite a pair. Enough of the cat-and-mouse games. Dr. Lecter found Clarice Starling interesting. That's how they met. Now here they were, entwines in a battle of wits. "You're quite good at this game," he said, watching her move her white pieces. Chess, an intelligent person's game. Clarice gave him a coy smile, watching his every move. She didn't even know why she was playing chess with him. She guessed she was just bored. Hannibal had her in about one move, and he looked at her. "If I win this, you have dinner with me. If I lose, you're free to go." She liked the odds. He was a gentleman, he would never let her lose, right? She nodded, making her move. It was a nice move, her queen had taken his bishop.
"Check," she said, leaning back.
He smiled, a small grin crossing his lips. And almost in slow motion, he moved his final piece, taking her queen and putting her into checkmate. "Checkmate," he said leaning back.
"That's not fair," she said, her southern drawl coming out more thicker than usual.
"What? Did you think I would just let you win? I may be a gentleman, but, I'm not that much of a gentleman. I'll see you at 8 on Friday. Wear something extravagant," he said, standing up.
Clarice couldn't believe it. "You cheated," she said.
"Don't be a sore loser, Miss Starling. It's so unbecoming of you," he said, his voice wandering off.
She stood from the table and ran towards him, tackling him to the ground. He rolled over onto his back and chuckled, looking into her eyes. "I want a rematch," she said, a playful smile crossing her lips as she leaned in close. Dr. Lecter chuckled and rubbed her cheek. She was so cute when she was mad. He sighed, putting his hands behind his head. What was he going to do with her. He grabbed her around the waist and rolled over, pinning her there, under his body. He leaned in and kissed her lips softly, hearing a soft breath escape from her lips. Her lips tasted sweet. They were soft. She didn't want to admit it but she loved the way his lips tasted too. They pulled away after what felt like forever.
"You're impossible… Dr. Lecter," she said, smiling again.
"I know," he said. He stood up. "Friday, 8 sharp. Don't be late."
A/N: So, there you guys have it... Please review and let me know what you guys think!
