Underworld - Judgement Pavilion

Percy remembered everything that had happened clearly. He saw Annabeth die right before his eyes, then Kronos who was in Luke's body, hit his vulnerable spot in the small of his back. Now, he was sitting in front of the three judges of the Underworld, waiting to find out where he was going to be sent.

"Since you've done many quests and succeeded in helping the gods, we're placing you in Elysium Fields, Perseus Jackson." King Midas told Percy.

"Not so fast." an unknown voice came from out of nowhere.

"Who's there?" Thomas Jefferson asked. Out of a portal came a male in a black and red suit and he had black hair.

"Lord Chaos, what brings you here?" William Shakespeare asked in fear.

"I've come to give Percy a second chance at life, but only on a few conditions." Chaos explained. Percy stood up from the chair he was sitting in, and looked at the man called Chaos. He could tell that Chaos was way more powerful than the Olympian Gods, and way older than them also.

"What are the conditions of which you speak, Lord Chaos?" Percy asked him. Chaos smiled down at the demigod that was Poseidon's son.

"The first condition is that you will go back in time to the day you found out you were a half-blood. The second condition is that you won't be going back as a Son of Poseidon, but instead you're going to be my son. The third and final condition is that you must destroy Olympus when the time comes and rebuild the Olympian Council. They have been neglecting their duties for far too long and it's time to put an end to it." Chaos explained to Percy.

A frown marred Percy's facial features as Chaos had just asked him to kill the Olympian Council. He knew for a fact that not everyone on the council was guilty enough for a death sentence. Let alone a death sentence from him: the demigod that intended to save Olympus from Kronos and his forces.

"Lord Chaos, with all due respect, why would I want any of the Olympians dead? Sure, Ares literally tried to kill me to keep his involvement in Luke's thieving of the Master Bolt and the Helm of Darkness a secret, but none of the other Gods or Goddesses did anything to deserve such a fate." Percy told the primordial being.

Chaos raised an eyebrow at Percy, not expecting the demigod to hold such affection for the pantheon of the gods. Especially since none of them did anything to prevent his death at the hands of Kronos.

"How have they not? To begin with: they're all too easy to offend. Over the millennia, if they felt even the slightest bit disrespected, they would curse those who affronted them. Even over the tiniest things. Not to mention that they all sired a ton of demigods over the ages, yet choose not to communicate with them unless they want something from you. Pretty convenient for them despite the divine laws put in place to keep them in line." Chaos began to explain to Percy.

Percy lightly but his lip, as Chaos did have a point about the Gods neglecting their children. Sometimes, even he wondered if Poseidon truly cares about him or just wanted something from him at times. Sensing that he was starting to get through to the young demigod, Chaos continued further.

"Let us not forget that in their prideful nature, they show contempt to the descendants of any of their enemies. Whether they are innocent or not. As such, they make the lives of those who don't deserve it a living hell. Do you need any more reasons, Percy? If so, I've got eons worth of information that will leave you in shock." Chaos told the son of Poseidon.

Percy's frown was now directed to the ground beneath him at this point. How many times had he been sent on a dangerous mission because of the Olympians' machinations? How many times had he almost lost those he cared about because of who they were sired to? How many times had he faced death in the cause of defending both Camp Half-Blood and Olympus before he was brought to this point in time? As much as he hated to admit it, Chaos had a point.

"I'll do it. I'll be your son and get sent back in time. However, I will not kill any of the Olympians unless they attack me first. You said that you wanted me to reform the council? Fine, but that doesn't mean that they need to die. There are ways to reform groups without depending on violence. Allow me to try things my way, so that we can try avoiding more bloodshed. There has been more than enough where the Olympians and the Titans are concerned." Percy answered after a few moments of silence.

Chaos raised an eyebrow out of surprise, impressed with the level of maturity and wisdom that Percy was showing. Even more than that, the amount of compassion that the boy held within him. After seeing it for himself, he knew he made the right choice in offering a second chance to this particular demigod.

"Very well then. We will try it your way Percy. If it doesn't work though, we will be going about it my way. Do we have a deal?" Chaos asked the young male. His hand was outstretched, waiting for Percy to shake it to confirm their agreement. Percy looked at the proffered hand hesitantly, but shook it only a few moments later.

"We've got a deal ...dad." he answered. Chaos smiled at the answer he received, releasing Percy's hand after a few shakes.

"Before I send you back, there are going to be a few key differences from the timeline that you knew: your abilities, your knowledge and your family. Since you will be my child, a whole new world of abilities will be at your disposal: the ability to manipulate time and gravity, the ability to manipulate all of the elements, the ability to use Charmspeak, the ability to manipulate the Mist, the ability to permanently kill any immortal being or monster and the ability to show others your memories." Chaos started to explain to Percy.

"What in Hades is Charmspeak?" Percy asked, confusion clearly expressed on his face.

"Charmspeak is a form of hypnosis primarily used by select children of Aphrodite or those who can use magic. As your power grows, it could potentially allow you to force anyone to do anything you want." Chaos told him. Percy nodded in understanding and stayed silent as he waited for Chaos to continue speaking.

"Next up: your knowledge. I will be sending you back with the memories you have retained up until the point of your death. This will give you a multitude of advantages, such as knowing what is going to happen and figuring out ways to change the outcome of certain events. Events like the unfortunate death of Bianca di Angelo or Thalia Grace becoming a Huntress of Artemis." Chaos explained even further. Percy nodded, not needing further details on that fact.

"Finally: your family. Tyson will no longer be your brother as you will no longer be a Son of Poseidon. However, you will still have a younger brother by the name of Cyrus Powers. He will be two years younger than you will be, but he will still have some similarities to Tyson: he is homeless, fiercely loyal and protective over those he cares about, wise beyond his years and he has an innate talent with his abilities and some forms of weaponry. I plan for the two of you to officially meet the day you reach the St. Louis Arch with Annabeth and Grover. Any questions?" Chaos asked the demigod.

"Just one: if I go back in time will I still have the Curse of Achilles or did I lose it after I was killed?" he asked the primordial being.

"I will leave that choice up to you Percy. If you wish, I can send you back with the curse still active. However, you may face even more of a strain from it as you will be back in your twelve-year old body." Chaos warned.

"I see. In that case: I'll keep it. It has its uses and catching those who would wish me harm off guard will only serve to help me out. Despite the drawbacks of the stamina drain and constant need to keep my body fueled with a lot of food." Percy answered. Chaos nodded and placed the tips of his right index finger and middle finger against Percy's forehead.

Before Percy could ask Chaos what he was doing, his vision blacked out and he felt a certain weightlessness.

Four Years Ago - Percy's Home

He awoke with a start, his eyes darting around to get a hold of his surroundings. He was shocked to find himself in his room, in his own bed. Outside of his bedroom window, the bustle of New York City greeted him like an old friend. A soft smile etched into his face only to immediately be replaced with a loud groan once he heard the sound of Gabe's obnoxious voice coming from the other side of his closed room door.

"At least me and Mom won't have to deal with him for much longer." he thought to himself as he got ready for the day that would change his entire life: the day he found out that he was a demigod.
