Severus was already exhausted and it was only 10:45 in the morning. He knew teaching while raising a child would be difficult but he never imagined it would be this strenuous. The day started off challenging with Harry not getting out of bed. Severus had woken the child up at 8:00 a.m. and attempted to get the child dressed and ready for the day.

First it took him five minutes to get the child out of bed before Severus gave him a final warning, then it was a struggle getting Harry in the bathtub as he wanted to 'play then rather take a dumb bath.'

After the bath Harry ran away from the potion's master trying to get him to play hide and seek rather than dressed for the day. They were running so far behind schedule that they ended up eating down in their rooms rather than in the Great Hall with everyone else.

Once breakfast was over Severus had to make sure Harry had everything he needed to keep him occupied for the day, giving the child a stern scowl when he couldn't decide whether he wanted his green or red dragon to play with.

Severus then had to hurry to his classroom to get all his ingredients together, the lesson plans for each period in order, and to get Harry all set up in his office. Once that was accomplished his first period consisted of dunderheaded first years that couldn't tell the difference between a flobberworm to a flitterbloom.

Sinking into his desk chair he let out a groan once the last first year left his classroom in tears after he botched his potion so badly he almost killed his classmates from his incompetence. Severus had promised the boy he would be harvesting bat spleens for the duration of his weekend for such a senseless mistake.

Rubbing his temples Severus sighed before getting up, walking to his office to check on Harry before his second class began with his seventh year N.E.W.T. students. Severus leaned against the door as he watched Harry play with the blocks surrounding him. The child seemed to be making some sort of barricade and placed his figurines in the fortress while keeping some of the other figurines and dragons outside of the blocks.

"That's quite a stronghold." Severus commented as he made his way into the middle of the office where Harry sat, who smiled upon Severus's arrival.

"Sev!" Harry exclaimed with delight at the man in front of him. Throwing his arms up wanting to be picked up. Severus bent down until the boy was resting easily on his boney hip.

"Why did ya lock me in here?" Harry asked, a pout starting to cover his face.

"I did not lock you in here, I created a barrier, similar to your castle over there, and it was to keep you safe." Severus replied.

"I don't like it." Harry pouted.

"Too bad your safety is more important, and watch your tone." Severus warned.

In order to ensure himself that Harry would be out of harm's way in his office Severus had created a barrier spell often used for children Harry's age to ensure they couldn't escape a certain area. The spell was similar to a muggle play pen however the only indication of the barrier were the milky white lines on the ground that created the boundaries.

Harry's eyes softened at Severus's warning before replying "What's bad in here?"

"All these jars are filled with potion ingredients which would be harmful if they got out of the glass, the jars are also heavy and could hurt you if they fell, glass could get into you, you could hurt yourself by climbing onto my desk or book shelves. Also Merlin forbid you end up in the fireplace and something happens."

"Kay" Harry whispered. "I missed you" Harry also added before hugging the professor tightly.

"I was only gone an hour or so." Severus replied back quietly.

Harry mumbled, resting his head on the professor's shoulder.

Severus hummed, glancing down at the affectionate toddler. "After this last class I am going to introduce you to someone new. She'll be watching you at times. I want you to be as well behaved for her as you are for me."

"Kay." Harry muttered around his thumb as he still laid on Severus's shoulder.

"Okay, how about we have a small snack, use the lavatory and then we'll settle down for a nap?" Severus asked caressing the boy's hair tenderly. While walking Harry through the secret door that connected to their quarters so that Harry could use the restroom. Severus then cut up some apple slices for Harry to munch on.

By the time the Harry was finished it was time for Severus's next class to begin. He and Harry walked to his office where he transfigured a quill and piece of parchment into a small bed and blanket.

Tucking the groggy boy in he knelt down in front of the blurry emerald eyes. "I'll be right outside this door if you need me. Okay Harry?"

"Kay." Harry replied with a mighty yawn.

"Sweet dreaming little one." Severus whispered before noxing the lights in his office and closing the door. He did put a monitoring charm up in case the child needed him before making his fearsome presence known towards the class.

"Ms. Baldric, a moment if you would." Severus spoke up while the class was heading out the door, stopping the young girl from walking out who had just placed her bag on her shoulder.

"Yes professor?" The girl responded making her way towards the desk, waving her two friends off.

Adelaide Baldric was head girl, a smart well respected girl by her peers and professors. Her platinum blonde hair framed her heart shaped face. She had bright olive eyes, porcelain skin and a slender figure. She was top of her class and had a bright future in front of her. When Severus put her name in for head girl after she had been a perfect the years prior it was the first time all teachers were in agreement of a student appointed to the title of head boy or girl.

Once the room was clear of all students Severus spoke, "As you are well aware I have acquired a new ward, I know you may be busy with your NEWT level courses, however I was wondering if you would be able to watch Harry while I teach at times."

Adelaide looked at her potion master in shock. Sure she had watched children before, she babysat and watched her nieces and nephews, but to watch Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, that was a different story.

"Sir?" Adelaide stuttered in shock.

"Come now Ms. Baldric. I know you are much more intelligent than what you just displayed." Severus responded, not wanting to repeat what he had just asked. Severus was too proud to admit that he couldn't take care of a child on his own, and did not wish to repeat the question again.

"Sorry Sir. It's just are you sure? I mean he is The Boy Who…"

"I'm quite aware of who he is Ms. Baldric, what I'm asking for is an answer. However Harry is not aware of what he has done or the title he possesses and at the moment I wish it to remain as such. I will tell the child when he's ready. Now your answer." Severus interrupted.

Nodding her head, Adelaide gained her confidence once again before replying "yes sir, of course I would watch Harry."

Nodding his head slowly Severus stared at the girl for a moment before slowly replying "Ms. Baldric, I chose you for this task and not your peers because of how responsible, and intelligent you are. I hold you to a high standard because I believe your ambition will allow you to do great things further down the road. With that said I trust you know that even with my high regards I will not be lenient with Harry's wellbeing. If you do watch him you will keep him safe, happy, protect him. By protect him I don't mean just from his enemies he has acquired but also from his admiring fans. Do not take this responsibility lightly, now I will ask again are you sure you are capable of watching Harry?"

Adelaide's eyes narrowed as she digested the professor's words. Would it be a huge responsibility to watch Harry, yes. However Adelaide was confident in her abilities and knew that she could already do this task, or else the Professor would have never asked her.

"I will watch Harry Professor Snape." Adelaide answered, exhuming confidence.

The only indication of Severus hearing the response was a light hum before he turned away and walked out of the room. Adelaide hesitated, not quite sure what she should do. She had always admired Professor Snape, she being one of the only ones in the school and had known him somewhat well since he was her Head of House. However she would truly never be comfortable with the man, he was too closed off, too unreadable.

Her thoughts were interrupted when the door opened again She watched Snape come out of his private office and with Harry in tow. The child looked groggy like he had just woken up, rubbing his eyes with one hand while holding the Professor's hand with the other.

"Ms. Baldric, I would like to formally introduce you to young Mr. Harry Potter." Severus said while gently pushing Harry out in front of him so Adelaide and he were face to face.

"How do you do Harry, it's nice to meet you." Adelaide responded with a soft smile bending down so she was eye level with the child.

Blushing at the pretty girl who was talking to him Harry moved to turn and hide in Severus, but was stopped by the man's strong hands grasping his shoulders, making him stay still.

"Harry." Severus murmured his deep voice warning the child of his manners.

Red the child gave a shy smile before whispering "hi" to the blonde female.

"Ms. Baldric will be watching you when I am unable to do so." Severus told Harry.

"Why?" Harry questioned narrowing his eyes and looking up at the man.

"I cannot watch you constantly, with my demanding schedule." Severus replied.

Glancing up at her Professor before looking back at Harry she smiled "Don't worry Harry you'll have loads of fun with me. We'll play all sorts of games."

Smiling back at the girl Harry asked "Do you like hide and seek?"

Laughing Adelaide replied, "oh yeah, it's my nieces favorite game."

Harry's smiled "it my favorite too. I'm really good. Right Sev?"

Rolling his eyes, Severus drawled sarcastically "Extraordinary."

Smiling Adelaide returned her attention back to Harry, "I have two periods of free time if you'd like to come with me. We can do all sorts of fun activities, that is if it's alright with the professor" Adelaide said glancing up at her Potion's teacher.

Giving a small nod Severus replied "that would be acceptable, you may bring him back at 5:00 before dinner or at lunch if you'd like." Bending down he looked Harry in the eyes "now I want you to be good for Ms. Baldric, you are to listen and follows the rule that she sets out. Okay?"

Harry nodded and glanced back over to the beautiful blonde. Biting his lip he turned his attention back towards the professor. Seeing the hesitation in the young boy's eyes Severus asked "what is it Harry?"

"I'm scared" Harry whispered.

"About what?" Severus questioned his brows bunched.

The worry in Harry's eyes increased as he bit his lower lip a bit more, unsure of how to tell his guardian.

"Hey" Severus whispered while pulling Harry's lower lip away from his teeth, worried he may bruise and cut himself. "There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of."

"What if you leave me and I can't find you?" Harry whispered.

"That will never happen." Severus replied. "I will never leave you, and you'll be back with me before you know it. Okay?"

"Kay. And we can play dragons?" Harry questioned, smiling shyly.

Lifting a brow Severus smirked while shaking his head, "yes I can agree to those terms, as long as you behave for Ms. Baldric."

"Kay!" Harry exclaimed before hugging the man tightly around the neck. "I'll miss you" Harry whispered, barley audible for Severus to hear.

Giving the toddler a tighter squeeze he whispered back "And I you, I love you."

Harry gave the professor a quick kiss on the cheek before he ran back into Severus's office, leaving a confused student and teacher as to where the boy had run off to.

Turning his attention back towards his student his face hardened as his eyes narrowed in attempt to intimidate the girl. He still felt rather uncomfortable with the displays of attention in front of people, especially his student. However to his pleasure he noticed the girl was looking around the room and not focusing on her teacher.

'Good she must be either very smart for not being so obvious as to what happened or uncomfortable as well' Severus thought.

His thoughts were interrupted when Harry ran back into the room and straight towards Ms. Baldric. Panting slightly he lifted a black mass into the air.

"Dis is Jax!" Harry exclaimed happily. "He loves hide n seeks too."

Laughing Adelaide replied, "Does he? Well it is very nice to meet you Jax" as she pretended to shake his paw.

Smiling even more brightly now Harry grabbed the young girl's hand. "C'mon let's go explore!"

"Harry." The Professor spoke lowly as the two made their way to the door. "Remember what I said" the Professor warned.

Running back to Severus he gave another quick hug before grabbing Adelaide's hand again, pulling her towards the door.

"Ms. Baldric." The Potion Master spoke again. "Same goes for you. Do try to remember what I said as well" the man spoke his eyes narrowed and head cocked slightly to the side in an almost threatening manner.

"Yes sir." The girl squeaked out as she hurried out the door.

Once he was totally alone he let out a small smirk. 'Still got it.'

The two had made their way outside, while it was still early in the year it was one of the last nice fall days in Scotland before the heavy cloaks had to come out. The sun was warm as Adelaide set down her stuff on the grass on a small hill that overlooked the lake.

"So Harry, what do you propose we do on such a nice day?" She asked, a smile shining brightly on her face.

"We could pway… tag!" Harry exclaimed.

"I thought you wanted to play hide and seek?" Addie laughed as she cocked an eyebrow.

"No tag now!" Harry laughed before mumbling "Ms. Baldawic."

"Hmm tag it is then, and please call me Addie Harry. That is what all my friends call me." She smiled.

Harry's face lit up. He had never had a friend before.

"Ok!" He yelled before running over to the girl and screamed "Tag you're it!" and running down the hill laughing.

The two ran around for some time, Addie was quite surprised with how fast she actually had to run to catch up to the boy. By the time Addie had "gotten" Harry for the sixth time she proposed a break. She moved the two back up the hill towards her belongings and pulled out one of her books.

"Now Harry, I usually study at this time, but I am sure I can help you learn a few things instead. What should we do.. we could do numbers, letters, colors.. ohh we could do some spelling." Addie stated, talking to herself more than the young boy in front of her.

Harry pouted his lips with disinterest. He loved learning, but he was tired of learning new things. Learning was something he did with Sev, not Addie. If Addie was taking over did that mean Sev didn't want him anymore? Biting his lip he began to feel nervous. What would happen if Sev left? Who would play with him? Who would make sure he ate his broccoli? Who would check for the monsters under the bed for him? Harry's heart began to beat fast as his worries began to settle, until Harry realized he had nothing to worry about. Sev promised not to leave him.

'He loves you too! Don't forget about that!' Jax exclaimed.

Harry hugged Jax to his chest. "How could I fogets about dat?" He whispered.

"What was that?" Addie questioned, looking up from the papers and books in front of her.

"Nothing." Harry blushed before hiding his face into Jax's back.

"Okay how about we work on some colors?" Addie smiled.

Harry narrowed his eyes. Sev and him had been working on colors for a while now and Sev had told him he was such a smart boy for doing so well. What did Addie think that he was a baby?

"I knows da colors." Harry replied.

"Is that so? Let us test that theory then. What color is this?" Pointing to her Slytherin tie.

Harry smiled, he knew that one. That was the color of Harry's eyes, and Sev's favorite color. "Gween."

"Hmm ok Mr. Smarty pants, how about this color?" Pointing to Harry's shirt.

"Boo!" Harry yelled happily.

"Yes but it is pronounced "blue"" Addie emphasized.

"Blue" Harry repeated in a mocking manner, his eyes glimmering with mischief.

Smirking, Addie pulled her arm forward displaying her bracelet. The bracelet was a majestic violet.

Harry frowned. He knew this color, it was the same color as Dumbledore's robe he wore last time he saw him. Harry pondered for a while.

'Big dummy. Don't even know colors' Harry thought, getting upset with himself.

Sensing the distress Addie stepped in "That's ok Harry, this is a tricky one. It's purple."

Harry looked up at the blonde and casted his eyes back down when he saw her smile.

'See even she knows you're a dummy.' Holding Jax even tighter, hoping the panther would offer him some comfort.

Before Addie could say anything else a voice interrupted her.

"Hey Baldric! Fancy seeing you hear." A boy with tanned skin and perfectly combed over brown hair shouted.

Addie groaned. "What do you want Castillo?"

"Just thought I would stop by and say hello. On my way to the Quidditch Pitch so I can kick those slimy snakes asses, no offense sweetheart." The teenager winked.

"Language Castillo!" Addie yelled in disbelief. 'Ugh only the brain of a Gryffindor would say something like that in front of a child.'

Looking down the teenager noticed the toddler sitting on the grass looking up at him in wonder.

'Sorry there little guy didn't see you there. I'm Cole." He replied giving a stunning smile.

"I'm Hawwy." Harry smiled, excited to meet another friend. And a boy at that! Addie was nice but she was a girl and girls were scary.

Cole stopped smiling as he realized who he was talking to. He shot a look over to Addie who had her eyes narrowed at him. How could he have forgotten that Harry Potter was at Hogwarts? Pulling himself out of his disbelief he returned the smile back onto his face.

"Well it is very nice to meet you Harry. What are you guys doing today?" Cole asked.

"None of your business Castillo, I believe you were leaving." Addie replied.

Ignoring the girl he turned his attention onto Harry. Harry smiled loving that his new friend already wanted to talk to him. "We played tag and then we practiced our colors… but then I forgot one." Harry responded, his voice full of excitement before trailing off when he realized how dumb he had been earlier.

'Now your new friend is going to know too and he won't want to play with you.'

Addie's eyes narrowed, just great the last thing she needed was Cole to laugh at Harry's distress and make the child more upset. Professor Snape would kill her if she handed a crying Harry back to him.

Before she could tell Cole to leave, he responded "Colors are tough, no worries about forgetting some. I forget answers to questions all the time, just ask any of the Professors." He laughed.

Smiling Harry laughed with Cole, happy to know his new friend made mistakes too.

"Hey Harry want to come down to the Quidditch Pitch? I can teach you how to play." Cole asked.

Before Harry could respond Addie replied "actually we should get going, I promised Professor Snape that I would have him back after lunch."

"No Sev said at lwunch or at five" Harry replied while holding up five fingers. He did not want to go back, he wanted to play with his new friend.

"Hmm is that so?" Cole smiled. "Trying to sneak off Baldric? You know lying is a bad trait to teach a young impressionable child."

"Sod off." Addie countered.

"Ohh language, wouldn't want young Harry repeating that to the Professor, but then again maybe we should. I would love to see his reaction, especially once he learned his sensible snake was the one to teach him." Cole laughed.

Growling Addie raised her arm slightly to hit the annoying Gryffindor.

Smirking Cole returned his attention back to the child. "Come along Harry. Ever play Quidditch?"

"Nope. Is it fun?"

"Oh yeah tons plus it's a great rush of adrenaline. I'm the beater for our team." Cole responded proudly.

"What's dat." Harry asked his breath short as he was having difficulties keeping up with Cole's large steps.

"Well it is my job to keep the bludgers away from our team and make sure they go towards the other team."

"What's a bwuddger?"

"A bludger is a ball that tries to knock people off their broom." Cole explained.

"Wow" Harry said excited to watch this new game.

Happy to see the excitement on the boy's face Cole's grin grew larger while Addie huffed loudly behind them, rolling her eyes.

"Me and my best mate Finn are the beaters for Gryffindor. Not to brag but we are one of the best beaters in school history. We've also gotten a couple good hits, but that gets us a lot of points with the ladies." Cole grinned while nudging Harry slightly.

"Disgusting. It's also probably the reason why you are doing so poorly in potions." Addie replied smartly.

"Oh I'm sorry your majesty, I wasn't aware that an A in one class while my others are E's and O's was a bad thing." Cole responded sarcastically.

"Some of us think that grades are important, they actually help you go far in life." Addie replied.

"Yeah so do other things, like being social and meeting new people to network. Do you even have any friends?" Cole fired back.

"Why you.." Addie began, feeling insulted. How dare he. While she may not be a popular social butterfly she did have two best friends, Mia who was in her House and Camille her other friend from Ravenclaw.

"I'm sorry." Cole interrupted. "That was rude of me."

In a bit of shock, Addie almost forgave the boy until she realized whom she was speaking to and just puffed before making her way towards the bleachers with her books in her hand.

As Cole watched her go he looked down at Harry, "I'll tell you that one is completely nuts, gorgeous but nuts."

Harry gave a small smile unsure what all of this meant.

"But I'll tell you this mate, all the good ones are a bit crazy."

Placing a hand on Harry's shoulder he moved the boy towards the right of the field "Come I'll have you meet the team."

Severus felt more anxious than he intended to when he let Harry go off with Ms. Baldric. He couldn't help but worry if the child was okay, if he was upset, if he had run off and got lost or worse hurt. He kept reassuring himself throughout the day that the boy was fine. He was excited to see the child at lunch but received an owl from Ms. Baldric stating that Harry and herself had met up with some friends and that Harry was having a blast and was still well taken for. He pursed his lips at the letter as he did not want the child to go hungry but Ms. Baldric also stated in the letter that they would grab lunch at 12:45, when lunch was ending and Severus would not be there to see the child as he had third year potions at that time.

He also couldn't help but note that the child would be terribly cranky as he would have skipped his afternoon nap. He frowned as he thought about having to deal with a cranky child after teaching. Yet he couldn't help but notice he felt upset most of all. He was upset that Harry was still out with Ms. Baldric and other students and now it was 5:00 pm and dinner was about to start. After the weeks they had spent together, never separating it felt too quiet, odd, and even depressing to be by himself. 'Who would have thought?'

Sure Severus enjoyed the quiet but even during quiet time he could still hear Harry's soft mumbling as he played with Jax or his dragons. Or even when the child was sleeping while Severus did some grading he could still hear the soft groans from the child's relentless turning or the soft even breaths from the child. He couldn't believe himself, one minute he was the terrifying bat of the dungeon and now he was cuddlier than Hagrid with a harpy, all thanks to one emerald eye small boy.

Speaking of the raven haired child, Severus's thoughts were interrupted when he heard the squeal of the child. Snapping his head off he had to bite back the smile that wanted to show on his face from the sound. However what he saw was not what he expected. Instead of being with Ms. Baldric and her friends, one Ravenclaw the other a Slytherin in his house he saw his child surrounded by a bunch of rowdy Gryffindor's, Kol Castillo being the lead.

It wasn't that Severus hated the Gryffindor but he couldn't understand why the boy pushed off his studies. The teenager showed no ambition to be the best in any of his classes, he was just slightly above average, something Severus could not identify with. A small part of Severus also noticed that Kol reminded him of James Potter, smart, handsome, athletic, popular. He noticed that Ms. Baldric hung in the back glaring at the Gryffindor's while Harry looked up to Kol and laughed at whatever nonsense the boy was spitting out. Severus noticed that once Harry was aware of his surroundings and all the people his head spun towards the professor's table.

"Sev!" The child screamed while sprinting towards the man.

Giving a slight grin and nod Severus braced himself as the small bundle jumped into his arms.

"I missed you so much!" Harry said emphasizing the 'so' while hugging the man tightly around the neck.

"Hmm are you sure? You have been gone all day." Severus teased.

"I made new fwiends! And learned lots of new stuff." Harry smiled.

"I saw your new… friends. What did you do today?" Severus asked shifting Harry onto his right hip as he walked towards his spot at the table.

"We pwayed tag, den we did colors, den I met Kol, he is super funny! Den I watched dem play Quiditch…"

"It's Quidditch Harry, and I hope you didn't play." Severus replied in a jokingly warn.

"No, dey wouldn't let me." Harry replied his voice glum.

"As they should, it is a very dangerous sport, one I do not want you to play until you are much older."

"But dey did let me rwide da broom!" Harry exclaimed grinning wildly.

"Excuse me?" Severus growled, his voice low and threatening.

"Ya, Kol let me rwide his for a little bit, dat is until Addie yelled at him." Harry carried on not realizing the throbbing vein in Severus's forehead or the ways his eyes narrowed even more as the boy continued.

Snapping his eyes up Severus looked first at the Slytherin table, he noted that Ms. Baldric turned white and shot her head down to avoid his deadly glare.. 'As she should… I'll deal with her later.' He then glanced over to the Gryffindor table and noticed that Kol seemed to even gulp at the stare, his friends avoiding his gaze at all cause. Then to his disbelief the Gryffindor smiled and waved at him, growling he was about to go give the boy detention until the day he graduated, until Harry gave a big wave back in return. Growling Severus cracked his neck while pinching the bridge of his noise. 'I'll deal with this mess later.'

"That was very dangerous Harry, they should not have allowed you to be on one." Severus scolded the toddler slightly, angrier with the students he trusted than the boy.

"But it was fun!" Harry smiled.

"Be that as it may, you must promise not to be on a broom again. Especially if I am not around." Severus replied.

Harry pouted not knowing why Sev was being so mean. "Noting bad happened doe"

"Yes, but you may not have been so lucky. And do not pout at me young man, unless you want to go to bed early tonight.

Growling slightly Harry moved his head in the nape of Severus's neck making Severus let out a heavy sigh. Since dinner all Harry talked about was Quidditch and how much fun he had riding on the broom. At first Severus tried to act like a "fun" parent and entertain the child with listening but he quickly realized that in no way was he or will he ever be the "fun" parent.

'The boy could have snapped his neck and has no clue. And those dunderheaded students were in for it when they showed up to his office. Putting Harry in such danger, stupid.'

Yawning Harry laid on the couch still playing with Jax and moving his paws. Glancing at the time he noted that those two dunderheads would be in his office in 2 minutes. Bending down Severus lightly brushed Harry's messy mane back shaking his head slightly at the tangled mess.

"I am going to step out for five minutes, I will be right back but in the meantime you will be confiscated to this room. I will be right back." Severus said once he gained Harry's attention.

"Kay." Harry yawned.

Smiling Severus thanked his lucky stars that the child would most likely be asleep when he came back and that they could both have an early night.

Making his way down the hall to the secret door to his office opened the door to interrupt what seemed to be an argument between Ms. Baldric and Mr. Castillo.

Before he even had a chance to speak Ms. Baldric interrupted him.

"Sir I…"

"Quiet"

"Sir if you could just let me expl.."

"I said silence" He spoke again, his voice low and deadly. His glare only deepened when he noticed the idiotic Gryffindor had an arrogant grin on his face while looking over at Ms. Bladric.

"Now, what I want is an explanation as to how a child of three, one who was only introduced to magic a mere month ago could have ended up on an adult sized broom."

"Well we were studying and Kol came up and got Harry all excited about Quidditch so of course he had to bring the boy along to the pitch and practice with them…" Adelaide ranted, speaking 300 words per minute.

"I have already spoken to Mr. Potter on what he did today, what I am asking for his how he ended up on the broom." Severus glared; he did not need a whole recap.

Gulping Adelaide looked frazzled, having never been in trouble before. She then narrowed her eyes before glaring at Kol. Severus followed this movement and arched his brow at the boy.

Rolling his eyes Kol sighed before saying "so how many detentions am I receiving this time?"

His glare intensifying Severus replied "as of now you are at two weeks due to the attitude, keep talking and I will make sure you never step on the Quidditch Pitch again Mr. Castillo."

"Look, the kid was just having so much fun watching and at the end he was staring at the broom with innocent wide eyes so I figured it couldn't hurt to let him try it. And let me say it didn't hurt." Kol emphasized. "So I let him up on the broom, don't worry I had my eye on him the whole time. He didn't even get above 3 feet so I really don't know why this is such a big deal."

"You don't know why." Severus repeated his voice slow and deadly like a predator before they attacked their prey.

Gulping Kol quickly looked over to Addie before glancing back at his Professor.

"Let me explain this to you as simple as possible for a dunderhead such as yourself. You will never allow Mr. Potter on another broom again. Is that understood?" Severus continued.

Nodding his head Kol then looked at Addie who was nodding her head as well.

"Good. If I catch wind of another incident like this again I will make sure to make your lives a living hell. Capuche? Now get out."

Severus watched as the two students scurried out the door only to see Ms. Bladric pause in the doorway "Sir we really are sorry."

"Enough."

"But truly we.." Kol tried to continue for her.

"I said enough now get out of my sight." Severus responded before waving his wand slamming the door shut. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes while massaging his temple. 'Idiots. The lot of them'.

Making his way back into the private quarters he still kept ranting inside his head. 'Can't even follow simple instructions. Taking a child out on broom, one with no experience. Absolute dunderheads.'

Pausing he noticed that Harry was passed out on the couch. One arm wrapped around Jax while the other tucked under his chin, his thumb loosely around his mouth. 'A habit we will have to end soon' Severus thought. He couldn't help but notice how relaxed he felt just watching the child. 'His child.'

Slowly bending down he scooped the child up in his arms before bringing him to the bedroom. Tucking the child in he brushed his bangs as the child still appeared to be dead to the world, exhausted from the day he had. Smiling Severus bent down and gave a lingering kiss to his forehead. While he was still annoyed at the teens he couldn't help but be pleased at how happy Harry was from his day today. In the end all that matters was Happy, safe and loved.
