Chapter 15: Night of the Hunters, Part 1

It was very early in the morning on Dragon's Edge, inside Hicca's mansion hut all of her dragons' stables were empty and the only one left was Toothless still asleep on his slab-like bed. A two weeks had past since Dagur attacked the Edge and there had been no sign of him or the Berserkers since then so Hicca decided to allow her dragons to have a vacation and go where ever they wanted. Toothless and Midnight were the only ones who remained behind, for obvious reasons but the biggest one among the herd was someone had to watch over their princess. Meanwhile at the dragon stables where the rest of the riders dragons were located, they had groggily begun to wake up and fall back asleep, all except for Stormfly who wasn't in her stable. On a far away island, Asher and Stormfly were chasing a flock of Terrible Terrors.

"Whoo-hoo! Haha!" Asher laughs as Stormfly flies up a cliff. "We're going vertical, Stormfly!" He says as Stormfly flips backwards and dives straight downward into the forest with Asher screaming happily while hanging onto his main dragon's horns.

"Hang on tight!" Stormfly says as she maneuvers through the trees with Asher exclaiming along the way.

"Catch ya on the other side!" Asher shouts as he grunts while jumping onto a tree and then swings through the brush until he lands on Stormfly's saddle. "Miss me?" He asks petting her side.

"Always." Stormfly snorts as they neared water before they set down to relax.

"Nothing like and early morning ride to start the day." Asher says and begins petting Stormfly. "I know, we should do it more often. From now on, I promise we'll-" He begins to say but then hears dragons growl and sees a flock of Terrible Terrors flying away in fear.

Asher and Stormfly take off to investigate and then hear dragons growling in the distance.

"That way." Asher says as they head towards the sound.

Asher and Stormfly fly and finds anchored; men are loading up on crates while Asher and Stormfly land to investigate.

"I've never seen those colors before." Asher says looking at the ships' colors but then looks at one of the ship's insignia. "But I have seen that insignia. It was on the Reaper." He says but then realizes who these people are. "Those are Dragon Hunters. Come on, Stormfly, let's get a better look." He says as Stormfly takes off to get a closer look.

Dragons growling, men shouting as Stormfly and Asher look on. Monstrous nightmare growls as Dragon Hunter bangs on cage.

"Quiet down, ya useless lizard." The Dragon Hunter says banging his mace against its cage.

Asher gasps and grunts at the cruelty they were showing dragons and was glad his crush wasn't here to see this. The Dragon Hunter laughs until a tall man slams the Dragon Hunter's head into cage and grunts. The man has a small, light scar on the left side of his face. He wears a silvery leather tunic somewhat similar to what the Outcasts wear. He also has on what appears to be one spiky shoulder guard and arm guard on one arm, and one regular arm guard on the other, a studded belt with a giant skull buckle and yellow dragon skin around the waist, indigo pants, and brown leather boots with orange spotted tips.

"Just load 'em up." The man says with authority coming from his voice.

"Yes, Ryker Grimborn, sir. Sorry, Ryker." The Hunter apologize to the man known as Ryker Grimborn.

"Look at him. Powerful. Perfect. Remember, they're smarter than you." Ryker says as the Monstrous nightmare pushes towards the Dragon Hunter only for Ryker to pull him away at the last moment. "But not me." Ryker says chuckling until he starts sniffing and looks in the direction of Asher and Stormfly's hiding spot making Asher gasp. "And grab that Nadder!" He orders as the hunters charge towards Asher and Stormfly's hiding spot.

Asher climbs back onto Stormfly as she shoots up into the air, surprising the hunters minus Ryker that a human is riding a dragon.

"Get us outta here, Stormfly!" Asher shouts as Stormfly takes off.

"Archers! Loose." Ryker commands as three archers take aim at Stormfly but miss because of Stormfly's quickly movements.

"Come on, Stormfly! We gotta get Hicca!" Asher says as Ryker grabs the bow from one of the hunters and shoots Stormfly after she fired her spines at them causing her to growl in pain. "Stormfly!" He yells attempting to hang on.

"When a Nadder shoots its spines, it always leaves its belly exposed." Ryker says handing the bow back to the archer.

"Whoa, Stormfly! Whoa! Aah!" Asher yells after falling off her saddle and into the ocean.

Asher quickly surfaces and gabs onto a piece of drift wood while panting. Stormfly continues to fly out of control as a chain wraps around her and pull her onto the ship.

"Move out!" Ryker orders.

"What about the rider?" The Hunter asks.

"Never mind! We got the dragon." Ryker says.

"No. Stormfly! I'll find you." Asher vows.

Meanwhile, back at Dragon's Edge, Hicca and Toothless along with Blazer and Sneaky are seen waiting at the stables for Asher to come back and begins to worry since he has been gone all day.

"Still no sign of 'em? They're probably out exploring and lost track of time." Fishlegs says trying to justify Asher's reasons for not returning.

"He's never been gone all day like this. Not without telling someone." Hicca says.

"You're right, Hicca. Asher would have been back at least before midmorning." Blazer says about his rider.

"If not sooner." Sneaky adds sitting on his brother's head.

"You remember when he didn't show up for his own party cause he was setting up a defensive perimeter around Berk?" Fishlegs asks.

"Yeah." Hicca says turning towards her.

"Yeah. Or the time, he decided to practice his late night axe-throwing and surprised Silent Sven in the woods." Fishlegs says listing another time Asher never told anyone what he was doing.

"Yeah, but-" Hicca begins to say.

"Yeah, I don't think he recovered from that. And then there was that time-" Fishlegs starts to listing another time but Hicca stops her.

"Fishlegs, thank you for trying to make me feel better, but this is different. Something is wrong. I can feel it." Hicca says hugging herself as she looks out into the storm starting over the ocean in the distance.

"You know, if anyone is equipped to survive out there, it is Asher." Fishlegs says placing a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder.

"No, you're right Fishlegs. But we're gonna find him anyway." Hicca says.

Back out in the ocean, which was beginning to get roughing due to the storm starting, Asher was set adrift and still managing to hang onto the driftwood.

"Great." Asher says as it was beginning to rain.

The riders, on their main dragons with Blazer following, head out into the storm in search of their missing companion.

"We'll all go in different directions. I'll head south with Blazer." Hicca says.

"No. I should head south." Snotlout argues.

"And, why is that?" Hicca asks.

"Because Asher likes to fly south and he'll obviously be expecting me to rescue him." Snotlout says.

"Like I said, I'll go south." Hicca says.

"Rain, wind, all of us splitting up, sounds like the perfect opportunity, for a rogue sea beast, to leap from the depths of the ocean, and pick us off. One by one." Tuffnut says dramatically.

"Alright gang, let's go find him." Hicca says as Fishlegs, Meatlug, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Barf and Belch head east.

"He's gonna be so sad, when you rescue him, instead of me." Snotlout says gesturing to herself.

"Oh, don't worry, I'll tell him it was all you." Hicca says.

"You'd do that for me?" Snotlout asks with a smile.

"No. No, of course I wouldn't." Hicca says as with a smirk as she, Toothless, and Blazer head south with Snotlout and Hookfang going west.

"Asher!" Ruffnut and Tuffnut shout as they both going in different directions, causing Barf and Belch to smack in to each other when their necks couldn't stretch anymore. "Asher!" They shout again going in the opposite direction this time but smack again into each other, again.

"Bad dragon!" Tuffnut says.

"No, bad riders." Belch says to his rider.

"Okay, new plan, I'll look for Asher, you fly the dragon." Tuffnut suggests.

"Good idea!" Ruffnut says agreeing.

"Asher!" Tuffnut yells as they once again fly in opposite directions causing Barf and Belch to smack into each other again. "Okay, okay, okay, I'll fly the dragon, you look for Asher." He suggests.

"Good idea! Asher!" Ruffnut yells and once again they fly in different directions, and Barf and Belch crash in to each other.

"Aah!" Tuffnut yelps in pain.

"This bits getting old." Barf says feeling a headache coming on.

Meanwhile, Snotlout and Hookfang spot a lightened cave.

"Huh? Look! That must be him. Take us down, Hookfang." Snotlout orders.

"Alright." Hookfang says and flies down into the cave.

"Asher! Your Viking in shining Gronckle iron is here!" Snotlout shouts thinking it's Asher, but finds a wild blue Typhoomerang. "Not Asher! Not Asher! So not Asher!" She screams mounting Hookfang quickly.

"No kidding!" Hookfang yells covered in black smoke as he flies away from the cave.

At the same time, Toothless scans the area with his echolocation abilities.

"Still nothing." Hicca says with worry in her voice.

"Don't worry, we'll find him." Toothless says as he flies upward with Blazer following and looks out at the open ocean.

"He's got to be somewhere." Hicca says as they fly onward searching the ocean, hoping to find Asher.

Meanwhile, Asher's losing his strength to hold onto the log and lets go of it, slowly sinking in the ocean. At the last second Hicca spots him and has Blazer dive in the water after him. Blazer manages to rescue him, and gets Asher out of the water, dropping his rider onto Toothless saddle so Hicca can check on him, as she turns around on Toothless' saddle and begins trying to shake her crush awake.

"Asher! Asher! ASHER!" Hicca screams as Asher opens his eyes and finds himself on Toothless' back with Hicca gripping his arms staring down at him with Blazer hovering close by.

"What took you so long?" Asher asks with a tiny smirk.

"Oh thank Thor. Whew!" Hicca sighs in relief hugging him tightly as Asher tries to hug her back but passes out from exhaustion.

"Wait, where's Stormfly?" Blazer asks looking around for his sister. "She'd never leave him alone in the ocean like that." He says going worried that there was not sign of the missing Deadly Nadder.

"I don't know, Blazer, but let's get back to Dragon's Edge. Once he wakes up I'm sure he'll tell us how this happened." Toothless says as the two dragons fly back towards the Edge.

The next morning, Asher wakes up in Hicca's hut in shock.

"Stormfly!" Asher shouts sitting up quickly and sees all of the riders and Blazer standing in a circle around the bed and watching him.

"Hey, it's okay, it's okay. Just try to relax, Asher. You had a tough night." Hicca says kneeling beside her bed and dabs the side of Asher's face gently with a cloth, swiping away the sweat.

"No, no, no. You don't understand. They were all in cages. And they have Stormfly!" Asher shouts as he tights his hands into fists.

"Whoa, whoa, wait, slow down. Cages? What are you talking about? What happened out there?" Hicca asks taking one of Asher's hands in hers to provide comfort.

Asher stares at Hicca in shock before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath to calm himself down.

"Dragon Hunters." Asher says calmly shocking all the Dragon Riders when hearing that.

"Dragon Hunters?" Hicca asks not sure if she heard her crush right.

"A whole fleet of 'em." Asher clarifies.

"And they have Stormfly?" Hicca asks.

"Yeah, this big, ugly one…oh, when I get my hands on him…" Asher says seething with anger and unconsciously tightens his grip on Hicca's hand.

"And, welcome back." Fishlegs says realizing Asher was back to normal.

"Come on! Let's mount up!" Asher says loudly getting off of Hicca's bed and jumps off the ledge of Hicca's loft and onto the first floor. "Stormfly!" He shouts calling for his main dragon but then remembers he doesn't have his Deadly Nadder to mount.

"You still have Blazer." Hicca says gesturing to the Monstrous Nightmare standing beside her. "Don't forget you don't have just one dragon." She says as Blazer hovers down to his rider and Asher smiles at Hicca.

"Thanks Hicca. Let's go find your sister, boy." Asher says mounting Blazer's saddle.

Later that day, the Dragon Riders are now searching for clues for the Dragon Hunters on the beach where Asher saw them. However, all that was left was fire pits, tracks, and empty barrels and chests.

"Ugh! There has to be some clues here or somewhere. Something." Asher says in frustration.

"How many cages were there?" Hicca asks observing the fire pit.

"Remember all the cages we saw on the Reaper?" Asher asks.

"Yeah." Hicca answers but she didn't see where he was going with it.

"Double it." Asher says.

"We got nothin'." Tuffnut says as he and Ruffnut walk over to them.

"Just a bunch of trash. Look like these Dragon Hunters were also litter bugs." Ruffnut says crossing her arms.

"Yeah there should be some kind of penalty or fine for littering. I mean, am I wrong, people? What if everyone were this careless and inconsiderate? What then? Huh? Where would we be then?" Tuffnut asks grabbing his sister by her arms before crying dramatically. "Oh no." He cries as Ruffnut stares at him while shaking her head.

"I knew coming here was bad idea. What did we hope to find anyway?" Snotlout asks after closing the empty chest but unknowingly steps on something sharp and green buried in the sand and lets out a painful scream. "Ow! Something bit me! I'm allergic to sand crabs! They make my toes fan out. Ow, ow, ow!" She shouts as Asher comes over to her and looks at the object in her boot. "Whoa. Look at you. Rushed right over to help me, didn't you? You know what that means, Asher. Ow!" She says but then screams because Asher pulled the arrow out of her foot.

"This is Dragon Hunter arrow." Asher says getting a good look at the object.

"Or that." Snotlout says with a deadpan look on her face.

"Stormfly was hit by one of these before she was caught. I've never seen her act so out of control." Asher says as Hicca and Fishlegs come over to get a better look.

"Interesting." Fishlegs says after taking the arrow from Asher. "Unexpected." She says sniffing the arrow. "Mm. Tangy." She says licking the arrow next.

"Mind cluing us in on what "tangy" and "unexpected" mean?" Hicca asks crossing her arms under her bust.

"I'm guessing it's refined dragon root. I've heard that in high concentrations, it can overwhelm a dragon's senses to completely, making it almost impossible to them to fly." Fishlegs explains.

"That's exactly what happened to Stormfly." Asher says now knowing what happened to his dragon.

"Think of it. Just one quiver of these arrows could decimate an entire flock of dragons. Imagine what it can do to you, Hicca, considering you have dragon blood in you." Fishlegs says as Hicca cautiously takes the arrow remembering what happened to her three years ago with normal dragon root.

"How are we gonna find her? We have no idea where they're going." Asher says.

"Maybe not. But we do know where they've been." Hicca says.

The Dragon Riders go back to the Reaper to gather up some clues as to the location of the Hunters.

"Alright, look for anything that might help us track down the Dragon Hunters. Maps, coordinates, hidden compartments." Fishlegs says as she walks by the twins inspecting crates and a dragon skull.

"There's nothing here. Someone totally looted this boat." Tuffnut says closing the lid of the box he was looking in.

"This ship gives me the creeps." Ruffnut says hugging herself feeling spooked.

"Sunken ship, Dragon Hunters, the creeps. I bet this thing is crawling with ghosts, and other such spirits planning on dragging us down to the dark Viking underworld where they will torture us by tickling us for eternity!" Tuffnut shouts.

"Niflheim?" Ruffnut asks with a gasp.

"Gesundheit." Tuffnut says thinking his sister sneezed.

"Niflheim? I knew coming here was a bad idea!" Snotlout says loudly as Hookfang pulls his face out of a barrel and looks to his rider. "What do we hope to find anyway?" She asks kicking the mast but causes the deck to break apart making her fall through it to the ship's lower levels. "Ow!" She cries in pain while coughing. "Get me out of here!" She shouts.

"What if that's just what the ghosts want us to do?" Tuffnut asks looking into the hole with Ruffnut and Fishlegs.

"Tuffnut!" Snotlout yells.

Meanwhile Hicca and Asher are searching in the captain's quarters below deck for any clues as to the hunters' whereabouts.

"There's nothing here!" Asher yells in anger while holding his axe.

"Just keep looking. We'll find something." Hicca says as she continues to search through the empty barrels.

"What if we don't? What if we can't track them down? Hicca, I'm-" Asher begins to say.

"I know. But we have to stay positive." Hicca says trying to calm her crush down.

"I'm trying. But you didn't see Ryker. He actually enjoys hunting and caging dragons. And he has one of mine!" Asher shouts grunting as he throws his axe into a shield.

"We're gonna find her, Asher, and the other dragons, too. I promise." Hicca says in a gentle voice.

"Hicca, I don't know what I would do without Stormfly." Asher says.

"Don't worry. We'll get her back. Now let's go see if the other guys found anything." Hicca says gesturing to above deck.

Asher nods and pulls his axe out and causes a lens to fall from the shield.

"Dragon Eye lens." Hicca says holding up to new lens in front of her.

Later the rest of the Dragon Riders were gathered in the captain's quarters as Toothless makes a small fire but the lens doesn't show anything.

"Well, none of our dragons work with this new lens." Hicca says as she scratches Toothless' cheek.

"If we can't figure out what kind of dragon we need-" Asher begins to say.

"I know. I'm thinking." Hicca says staring at the Dragon Eye.

Meanwhile, Tuffnut takes a close look at the shield and the design on it.

"Hm. Yep. It's either the inside of a yak, or a Changewing in a cage." Tuffnut says as Hicca looks closer at the shield and sees Tuffnut is right about the Changewing thing.

"Tuff! You're a genius!" Hicca exclaims.

"I'm actually a "geologenius." That's a geologist who's also a genius." Tuffnut says going back to not making any sense.

"Looks like we're going to Changewing Island. Melt's vacation just got cut short." Hicca says.

The Riders depart from the Reaper and head to Changewing Island, where Hicca's Titan-Wing Changewing, Melt was staying for his vacation.

"Changewing Island. Ah, such a peaceful place. Except for all the Changewings, of course." Fishlegs says glumly.

"Okay, guys, we need some glowing, Changewing acid to shine through the Dragon Eye so we can see what's on this lens. So I'm going to find Melt with Toothless, meanwhile you guys trying and find some glowing Changewing acid just in case." Hicca says as Toothless takes off to find his brother with his rider.

"Let me guess. By "find some glowing Changewing acid," she means that we have to somehow find a Changewing, an ambush predator that can blend in perfectly with its environment, and milk its acid before it rips us to shreds? Great idea, Hicca!" Snotlout yells to the flying away Dragon Princess.

"Au contraire, mon ami. In order to find a Changewing, you must become a Changewing!" Tuffnut says jumping up from behind a bush with face paint on and leaves in his hair, then hides behind a tree before roaring as he dives into a bush only to start rolling downhill. "Thorns! Brambles! Blackberries!" Tuffnut exclaims in pain.

"Such stealth." Asher says sarcastically.

"They'll never see me coming." Tuffnut says from the bottom of the hill.

Later the remaining riders were gathered at a riverbed awaiting the arrival of a wild Changewing.

"Fishlegs, this is taking too long." Asher says as they hide behind bushes.

"Changewings can be a bit skittish. We just gotta be patient." Fishlegs tells him as they look at the other side to see Snotlout and Hookfang hiding in bushes as well.

"How do we know a Changewing isn't standing right there? Or there? They're invisible, remember? Oh, and did I mention, this is a terrible idea?" Snotlout shout quietly.

"Oh be quiet." Hookfang says snorting a tiny fireball at his rider which bounces off her helmet causing the bushes to catch on fire as Snotlout uproots the bush and tosses it away.

"Hookfang." Snotlout says glaring at her dragon.

"Ha ha ha." Hookfang laughs with a growl.

"I'm bored. Why are we just staring at the water?" Ruffnut asks feeling impatient.

"All animals need to drink, therefore all animals will visit the watering hole." Fishlegs explains.

"Great. Now I'm bored and thirsty." Ruffnut complains.

"Shh. Look." Asher says pointing to a Changewing blending in with a rock, then a tree and finally a log before making its way to the watering hole while also losing its camouflage in the process. "Come on." He says as they slowly tiptoe their way towards the drinking dragon.

As they continue to get closer to the Changewing, Tuffnut suddenly appears in front of them.

"Hey! You guys have any luck?" Tuffnut asks loudly causing the Changewing to take off into the air.

"Ugh! Tuffnut! We were just about to-" Asher begins to say but was stopped when Fishlegs taps his shoulder.

"Look at that." Fishlegs says as she points to the Changewing caught by a rope around its neck and growling.

"Like I said, "See the Changewing. Be the Changewing."" Tuffnut says as Hicca, Toothless, and Melt fly in and land beside the riders observing the captured Changewing.

"Uh…what's going on here?" Hicca asks in confusion.

"No idea." Toothless says equally confused.

"But by the looks of it, it seems like one of the other riders managed to captured one of my kind while it was taking a drink." Melt says taking in the sight before him.

The Changewing then attacks by spitting acid on Snotlout's helmet causing her to let loose a high-pitch scream. The Changewing then pulls back hard on the rope causing it to snap and allowing it to escape.

"Well I said for you guys to find some glowing Changewing acid and it seems that you guys managed to do just that." Hicca says looking towards Snotlout still crying in pain from the acid on her helmet.

Later the Dragon Riders were gathered in a cave with Hicca holding the Dragon Eye up to the acid causing the lens to emit a green projection.

"Would you just hold still, Snotlout?" Hicca asks trying to get the girl to stop moving.

"Easy for you to say. You don't have Changewing acid burning through your skull. You have your Changewing here and he can provide a new source of acid." Snotlout says pointing to the Titan Wing Changewing.

"It'll just be a waste of Melt's shot limit, so we'll use what's on your helmet. Now hold still." Asher says as Fishlegs looks at the map projected from the lens.

"This doesn't help. We've seen this map before." Fishlegs states having already seen and translated the map from another lens they had.

"It must be a hunter port. And it's the closest to the beach where Stormfly was captured. Odds are, that's where they're headed. After that, who knows where?" Hicca says.

"Then we have to hurry!" Asher says.

"Yes, please. Let's hurry!" Snotlout yells taking off her helmet and throwing it away.

"Uh, but how are we going to avoid getting shot with those dragon root arrows?" Fishlegs asks.

"Funny you should ask, Fishlegs. For my plan to work, someone's gonna have to get shot." Hicca says with a smile as she stares at the girl who riders the only dragon root resistant dragon causing her to start whimpering.

"Yeah! Looks like we're up!" Tuffnut shouts holding his hand up to his sister.

"Cool!" Ruffnut says chuckling as she high-fives her brother.

Later, Ryker and his five Dragon Hunter ships were calmly through the ocean when suddenly Hicca, Toothless, Melt, Asher and Blazer attack his command ship.

"I'm here for my dragon!" Asher yells pointing his axe at him but he pays the boy nod mind.

"A Night Fury!" Ryker shouts while laughing.

The twins and Snotlout get their shots in as well on their main dragons while Ryker doesn't even flinch.

"Fire!" Ryker yells pointing at the riders with one of his swords.

The Dragon Hunters then begin firing their dragon root tip arrows at the Dragon Riders.

"Hookfang! Whoa, whoa. Is that all you got? Oh, no!" Snotlout says seeing an incoming arrow heading for her head. "Whoa." She says bowing her head so the arrow bounces off her helmet. "How 'bout a little heads-up, Hookfang?" She asks.

"How about you pay more attention." Hookfang says.

Toothless, Melt, and Blazer fly in and blast, melt, and destroy three of their grapple cannons.

"There he is!" A Dragon Hunter shouts as three archers come up to the side and begin firing arrows at them.

Melt manages to swerve through the volley of arrow along with Toothless as they keep their princess safely from harm. Asher and Blazer managed to avoid most but a few were aimed at Blazer's neck and would've hit if Asher hadn't blocked them with his axe.

"You sure your plan's gonna work? That was pretty close." Asher states.

"Fishlegs! You're up!" Hicca shouts as Fishlegs and Meatlug fly up to them and give her the thumbs up.

"Okay, girl, let's give it all we got." Fishlegs says as they flew towards the command ship while letting out a battle cry.

The two fly over the deck, leaving a lava trail across it as the three archers recover quickly and aim their arrows at the Gronckle and rider.

"Oh, Thor!" Fishlegs cries as Meatlug dodges the arrows until one sticks her in the leg. "We're hit! We're hit!" She yells as Meatlug is caught by a chain catapult and pulled onto the deck.

"They got Fishlegs and Meatlug!" Asher yells as Blazer flies beside Toothless.

"Get up, girl! Oh, please! You'll be okay!" Fishlegs pleads before noticing Ryker. "You monster!" She growls at the Dragon Hunter leader.

"Take 'em below and toss 'em in a cell!" Ryker orders as his men grab Fishlegs and drag Meatlug below deck.

"Meatlug! Can you hear me? Oh, stay with me, girl! Get off me! Get off me!" Fishlegs shouts.

Ryker turns around to face forward as Toothless fires a plasma blast at the deck behind him.

"What I could get for that Night Fury?" Ryker asks staring at Toothless in the air.

Inside the boat, the Dragon Hunters drag Fishlegs and Meatlug into the room full of cages just like the Reaper has.

"Please, help us. There was dragon root on that arrow. Look what it's doing to her." Fishlegs begs as Meatlug pretends to act unfocused.

"In you go." The Dragon Hunter says pushing the two into a cell.

As the Dragon Hunters leave, Fishlegs stop Stormfly in the cell across from hers and gives the Nadder a Wink.

"Just try to be still. We'll be all right." Fishlegs says pulling the chains off her dragon.

Meanwhile, back outside, the Dragon Hunters were attempting to capture the remaining Dragon Riders.

"Fire!" A Dragon Hunter shouts as two more hunters fire two boulders from their catapults.

"Look out!" Hicca yells as Toothless manages to expertly evade the first incoming boulder but the second knocks Asher and Blazer off course in the air. "Hang on, Asher!" She yells as she, Toothless, and Melt attempt to help them.

"Hicca!" Asher yells as he tries to regain control of his Monstrous Nightmare.

"Come on, boys, dive!" Hicca orders her dragons. "Grab my hand!" She shouts reaching out her hand towards Asher but the Dragon Hunters shot a chain the wraps around Blazer sending him and his rider into the ocean. "Asher! No!" She yells as Toothless and Melt dodge more arrows.

Back inside the Dragon Hunter ship, two Dragon Hunters were standing guard of the exit back towards the deck.

"Help us. Please, I think she stopped breathing." Fishlegs begs as one of the hunters sighs while rolling his eyes. "You think your boss is gonna want his new dragon to die? And on your watch!" She says as the hunter groans and makes his way towards their cage.

The Dragon Hunter opens the gate but is then taken down by Meatlug.

"Hey!" The other hunter shouts attempting to recapture them but Stormfly quickly uses her spines and pins him to the wall.

"I wouldn't make a sound if I were you. Stormfly can shoot a flea off a yak's tail from 20 yards." Fishlegs says now holding the cell key as Stormfly gets ready to fire another spine making the Dragon Hunter whimper.

Fishlegs then releases Stormfly from her cell as the first Dragon Hunter wakes back up.

"What happened?" The Dragon Hunter asks but is then knocked out again by Meatlug's tail bludgeon.

Back outside the Dragon Hunters are pulling both Blazer and Asher onto the ship.

"Hey! Come on! Let us go! Let go of us!" Asher yells struggling to get free of the chains wrapped around him and Blazer as they're pulled onto the deck.

"Oh, feisty one, aren't you?" Ryker asks as he watches Asher break free of the chains and attempts to striker him with his axe but he blocks it with his arm guard and knocks Asher back towards the two hunters. "I like his spirit." He says walking up to them. "Throw 'em in a cell." He says as the hunters pull Asher and Blazer.

"You're gonna be sorry! You're messing with the wrong Vikings." Asher says.

"Well, so are you." Ryker says but at that moment Stormfly bursts from the closed door followed by Fishlegs riding on Meatlug.

"Stormfly!" Asher shouts getting free from the Dragon Hunter and runs to his main dragon. "Come on, lets get your brother." He says mounting his Deadly Nadder.

"I'm coming Blazer." Stormfly says.

"Now!" Hicca shouts as Toothless, Melt, Snotlout, Hookfang, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and Barf and Belch dive towards the ship.

"Fire." Ryker says calmly with a smirk on his face as two cannons fire bolas at Stormfly and Meatlug's feet causing them to trip and fall as they are caught again.

"It didn't work." Hicca says in shock as three volleys of Dragon Root arrows are fired. "Evasive action! Now!" She yells as Toothless and Melt maneuver out of the way.

"Not good!" Tuffnut shouts as Barf and Belch dodge arrows.

"Getting worse!" Ruffnut yells after Barf and Belch are struck with an arrow.

"We're going down!" Ruffnut and Tuffnut scream as they fall off their main dragon and out of the sky.

"We're hit!" Snotlout yells seeing in arrow in Hookfang's neck. "Whoa! Hookfang!" She shouts as Hookfang loses altitude and becomes unable to fly properly. "Help!" She shouts.

Hicca makes Toothless and Melt fly towards the falling Monstrous Nightmare and each grab one of his wings before flying away while Snotlout reaches towards the arrow to pull it out.

"Your pathetic tricks won't work on me. I'm a Dragon Hunter! I know that Gronckles are immune to dragon root." Ryker says shocking Fishlegs and Meatlug.

"Ugh!" Asher groans with a growl.

"I used your worthless escape plan to lure your friends in closer." Ryker says looking over his shoulder as the twins, Barf and Belch fall closer to the water.

"Coming in hot and blowin' out snot!" Tuffnut shouts with his arms crossed over his chest as he, Ruffnut, Barf and Belch hit the water only for a net to grab all three of them a second later.

"Hicca! We need to leave!" Snotlout says as more arrows are fired.

"Whoa!" Hicca says barely dodging an arrow aimed right at her.

"Hicca!" Snotlout yells.

"Get us outta here, boys." Hicca says as her two dragon fly off carrying Hookfang while she looks back towards the Dragon Hunters' ships with tears beginning to form in her eyes.

Inside the Dragon Hunters' ship, the Dragon Riders are being escorted into a cell.

"Where are our dragons? What did you do to them?" Asher asks in a demanding tone.

"Oh, if I were you, I'd worry about yourself." Ryker says but Asher notices a familiar figure behind him.

"Hector?" Asher asks as said teen turns to them in shock.

"No way." Tuffnut says in disbelief.

"Run!" Asher shouts.

"Surprise!" Dagur says appearing beside Hector, whose shocked expression turns into an evil smirk. "Did ya miss me? Of course you did! Oh! Do you know my brother? Wait a minute, sure you do! You guys were little pals and buddy buddies." He says while laughing.

"Hey, family is family." Hector says crossing his arms.

"I can't believe this, Hector." Asher says in shock.

"I know it's not Dragon's Edge, but it'll have to do." Hector says as the cell door closes on the riders. "Enjoy your new home, Asher. You're gonna be here a while." He says before walking away.
