"GINNY WEASLEY SCORES, THE HOLYHEAD HARPIES ARE IN THE LEAD 350-100!"
The sound of the crowd and the commentators was almost deafening. 10 years ago it was all just a dream to Ginny: chaser for the Holyhead harpies, captain of the Holyhead harpies, girlfriend of non-other than Harry Potter, playing in the quidditch World Cup final. Ginny found it hard to believe that her life had turned out so perfectly but she had no time to be sentimental now.
She sped off down the pitch alongside the other Holyhead Harpies chasers carrying the quaffle towards the goal when suddenly-
"PUDDLEMERE'S SEEKER HAS CAUGHT THE SNITCH, THE HOLYHEAD HARPIES WIN 350-250, THE HOLYHEAD HARPIES ARE THE NEW WORLD CHAMPIONS!"
Ginny couldn't believe what she was hearing. They'd done it. She'd done it. She flew down to where the rest of her teammates were celebrating on the pitch; hugging, laughing, one or two crying. Ginny was in such shock she barely registered two officials handing her the trophy and her teammates helping her raise it above their heads.
"WE DID IT, WE DID IT!" They were shouting in joy, almost drowned out by the cheers from the crowd.
"Well ladies and gentlemen what a game it's been-wait! Who's that?"
The commentator's voice made all eyes in the stadium turn towards one raven haired man who was walking onto the pitch.
"It's Harry Potter!" exclaimed the commentator.
Harry could hear his blood rushing around his body, the beat of his heart accompanied by the whispers from throughout the stadium.
'This is it,' he thought, 'it's now or never.'
He cast a quick spell so he could be heard by everyone and kept his eyes locked on Ginny's, her confused gaze calmed him a little.
"Firstly, I would like to congratulate the Holyhead Harpies on their win," the sound of his amplified voice only added to Harry's nerves, "secondly, if you don't mind, I would like to ask Miss Ginny Weasley a question. Ginny, when I first met you when I was eleven years old I never imagined either of us would be here but I am so glad we are. Every day I wake up and think of how grateful I am to have you in my life. I can't imagine what my life would be like without you. You have helped me through so much and I hope you know how thankful I am for that. I love you so much Ginny Weasley and I don't want to live the rest of my life without you by my side, so," Harry knelt on one knee and reached in his pocket retrieving a small black box and, as if it was rehearsed, the whole stadium gasped in sync and fell silent.
"Ginevra Molly Weasley," Harry said opening the box to reveal a silver ring with a simple yet stunning diamond placed in the middle, "will you do me the honour of making me the happiest man alive by marrying me?"
The deafening silence seemed to last a lifetime to Harry as he watched Ginny's hand slowly fall from her mouth, her expression change from confusion to shock to happiness, her eyes fill with what Harry hoped was happy tears. He was sure you would've been able to hear a pin drop.
Suddenly, Ginny ran towards him, hugging him as if he would disappear at any second.
"Is that a yes?" he asked trying to stay upright.
"Yes! Yes! A million times yes!" exclaimed Ginny.
The cheers and applause sounded like fireworks to Harry as he connected their lips in what he was sure was the most important kiss of his life.
"SHE SAID YES, SHE SAID YES!" shouted the commentators, jumping up and down in their seats.
"I love you," whispered Harry as he stood up and place the ring on Ginny's finger.
"I love you too," smiled Ginny as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him as though her life depended on it.
