[Scotland, January 13th, 2002, Harry POV]

The last thing Hadrian expected to see was Hermione Granger dancing on a pole, in her cell. It was the strangest thing to watch the teenager do, as this thing called poll dancing was never a thing on Mars. She was wearing sweat pants and a tank top as she spun around the pole before he pulled his eyes away and heading to his personal office. His head filled with the images of that girl dancing. Sitting at his curved desk, he got a hologram of one of his Intelligence gathering staff. The male Martian bowed his head before speaking up.

"My lord," The Martian began, "The landmass known as Russia has fallen, and Europaian activity has been shown all over the continent."

Harry frowned, before pulling up an ever updating map of the globe on another hologram. The Russian continent was dark purple, as was all the land that the Europaian's controlled. The cold climate was the perfect breeding grounds for the semi-aquatic moon species, and yet they somehow overwhelmed the humans easily. New Europaian technology maybe?

"Any information on how the Europaian's took over this massive landmass?" He asked, starting to gather some forces that had been specifically upgraded for special OP missions.

"No," The Martian reported, "Nothing, however, the humans have video footage of something causing a massive amount of chemical like smog before it was ignited. This smog had a violent reaction and turned miles of human city into burning and smoking ruins. We have many hypotheses on the smog's composition but until we get a sample, we can only speculate on it. We also have no idea on where it came from either."

Hadrian grimaced before hitting another button, causing the building to go red. War was going to get much, much more dangerous now due to this new weapon.

"Get the troops moving, push the Martian line, and distract them. I'll be leading the Spec-OP's into Russia's former capital city." Hadrian stood before the Martian hologram disappeared, allowing Harry to move back into his room.

Pointing at two specialized, white domed guard Hounders, they quickly headed to the prisoner cells and grabbed Granger. She yelped and thrashed before being injected with a sedative.

"Take her to my vessel; she'll be needed for her human destination knowledge." Hadrian said flatly, having seen the girl read those books on the world out of boredom.

Time for the mission…

[January–February, 2002, General POV]

Across the world, the Europaian's were forced back. The Suez Front was held, more and more troops and supplies were pouring in. However, the Europaian's were trying to hit the islands and other major populated areas in the world. On January twentieth, the Europaian's landed in India and wiped out a third of the population before the people of India blew them back. Then on the twenty second, the Europaian's attacked China on two fronts. Hitting them from North Korea and from Russia itself, the Chinese were using more and more humans in their two front war, even starting to use women and children over thirteen years of age. It didn't matter; the threat had to be dealt with.

However, the Martians were pushing the lines, hard. The Martians had taken Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and were slowly digging into Sweden. With India joining the Allies, the millions of soldiers were now being sent to South Korea to try and take out the threat from behind. Over ninety thousand troops, along with tanks, helicopters and other military supplies were sent to South Korea. The twenty eighth parallel was the new front line in the global war, US/Canadian/Indian/Egyptian troops fortified the parallel within days before the aliens realized they were surrounded on both sides.

Daily battleship bombardments rocked the North Korean land, making it a mess to even try and move for any Europaian troops. South Korean's took over the battle planning of the guerrilla tactics that worked perfectly against the surrounded Europaian's. However, the enemy was starting to use different tactics and now even creating new machines that could change the war for the worse. Across the pond, as the saying goes, Pearl Harbor was struck by a group of Europaian "Krakens". Thankfully, three newly off the line battleships blew the monsters out of the water and the retreating beasts were taken care of by several submarines.

It was also common to see the burning of the living liquid of the Europaian's whenever it was found, as it was something the Allies learned this from the Martians. While the science community was against the destruction of the resource, the military was firmly against using anything alien that their in name only Martian allies didn't use. However, collecting the alien machines weren't out of the question; just destroy the alien living metal before studying the machines.

This happened when the twenty-eighth parallel was able to capture a Heron and drag it over the Allied lines before the Iron Spiders and Raptors would even react. This was sent back to America via airlift instead of by sea, due to the more likeliness of the Krakens attacking the ships that would be carrying the Heron. The reports of that machine wouldn't be arriving until months later, so the war drove on and on. Martian troops were also moving and digging in across Europe, making sure that the Europaian's couldn't pull them out without the loss of multiple machines and their own people.

Another machine was also discovered to swarm the battlefield at night; the 'Lice' of the Europaian's would scourge the ground for all the metal that was used that day in combat. These new machines swarmed the battlefield by the millions across the world, becoming easy target practice and a game for the troops and the Martians that were stationed with them, if there were any. Then the Allies got another aerial report, the Martians were blasting multiple long ranged devices into the territory of Europaian occupied Russia.

The Martians were planning something that could make or break the entirety of the war.
