~*Two updates back to back its wildddddddddddddd. Sorry for any OOC here I kinda feel like I lost the characters again 0 )*~

Time seemed to slip by with little to no meaning for Ärztin. Day and night. Mission after mission. Her body going through the motions as if it were a machine programmed to do what it was told. She was certain she wasn't the one in command half the time. There was nothing to do but prepare for the next mission and sleep. Even the food the gave her was the same bland thing day in and day out.

Monotony.

The word came to mind as she prepared herself for the next mission, securing her horns on her head with numb fingers. Everything she did was monotonous in nature and she didn't have the energy or the drive to change that fact. Talon controlled everything and her only role was to exist and do as they told her. Stepping outside that role was strictly forbidden and came with the promise of reconditioning.

With one last check over her equipment she waited by the door with staff in hand. It wouldn't be long before Reaper or Sombra came by to gather her up for the mission. As if he knew she was ready, Reaper threw the door open without a word, turning down the hallway toward where she now understood the hanger to be.

Ärztin followed quietly, pulling her door shut behind her. Her heels clicking along with her every step was the only sound between the two as they made their way to the hanger. Sombra and Widowmaker waited by the hover jet, the shorter woman having a one sided conversation with the sniper. When she caught sight of the two walking toward them she grinned a grin that sent a shiver down Ärztin's spine. "Hey! Alright lets be on our way then!"

Before she knew it she was strapped in to one of the seats of the hover jet, staring at the dull grey wall opposite her. "Not really much for conversation anymore are you doc?" Sombra was saying from the seat beside her, fingers dancing along a few holoscreens in front of her. "That's fine by me. You see I like to talk so I'll do enough for the both of us right, Widow? Widow knows. She puts up with quite a bit of my talking. What a saint she is." She hums a laugh, her face illuminated by the holoscreens as the light dimmed and the hover jet took off. Reaper always piloted.

Her mind began to wonder again and before she knew it they were touching down again, her limbs moving almost automatically to unbuckle her harness and scoop up her staff. It was an easy mission. In and out. Sombra was going to gather some high valued information and the rest of the team was on stand-by in case an emergency extraction was needed.

Ärztin didn't know how much time had passed before her earpiece buzzed with Sombra's voice, "Compromised. Overwatch inbound." Her voice conveyed just how annoyed she was.

Another blank spot in her memory and when she came to there was a battle raging. She was boosting Reaper while he fired at a flash of a woman with wild brown hair. Something in the woman's expression hurt her heart and her fingers went numb on the controls of her staff, cutting the blue stream to Reaper much to his annoyance. With a small frown she forced her fingers to work, boosting him once more. "Focus on the target." Reaper growled, throwing his empty shotguns aside for freshly loaded ones pulled from inside his tattered coat.

"Let her go!" Shouted the woman with messy brown hair, her twin pistols humming as they spit energy rounds at Reaper.

Her memory lapsed again and she shook her head to clear it of the fog that had overcome her. Someone was griping her shoulders so tightly she was sure they would bruise. Looking down she could see the battlefield below, her feet dangling numbly. How long had she been out this time? "Angela... Its alright I've got you now. We're gonna get you home."

The voice came from above and Ärztin looked up so fast she thought she may have given herself whiplash. It was the woman in blue armor. Her face was serious, her mouth set in a thin line of determination. Ärztin's lips moved but no sound came out, her heart racing as she tried to gather her thoughts. "You're hurting me..." She mumbles, trying again to speak. The sounds were stolen by the wind as the woman in blue dove toward a drop ship Ärztin didn't recognize.

"I've got her. Fall back." The woman in blue barked into the air, pulling Ärztin inside of the ship without much trouble. She was guided to an orange couch, built into the wall to the right of the entrance of the drop ship. "Angela talk to me. What did they do to you? Did they hurt you?" The woman pulled her gold and blue helmet off, revealing a face that struck Ärztin with an odd feeling of familiarity. Like she had met the woman somewhere before but couldn't quite pinpoint it.

Once more Ärztin's lips moved but no sound came out. She couldn't remember the last time she really spoke to someone. Her brow furrowed, a sharp pain starting to creep along from the base of her skull. "Angela...?" She murmurs, reaching a hand up to rub her left temple in an attempt to sooth the budding headache. "Who are you?"

The woman in blue looked as though she was in pain, and almost instinctively Ärztin looked for her staff. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry Angela." She mumbled, looking to the door. Her memory ended there and when she woke next the woman with wild brown hair was standing beside the woman in blue. They were discussing something not far from where she sat, eyes on the messy table in front of her. "Look we knew this could be a possible outcome. Look what they did to Amélie... The important thing is that she's here now. We just need to focus on reversing this." The woman with wild hair was saying, her tone low and her arms crossed.

"She doesn't even remember me Lena... What if we can't reverse what they've done."

Ärztin cringed as the headache she had nearly forgotten about blossomed with full force, leaning forward she tore the horns from her head with a huff. Who were these people? Where were they taking her? It hurt to think...

Another blank spot in her memory. The woman in blue armor was hovering over her, dark eyes clouded by some unknown emotion and brown furrowed. It took Ärztin a moment to realize she was laying on the floor between the couch and table, her numb hands were outstretched in an attempt to keep the woman away from her. "I d-don't know what's... My head..." Her voice hitches and she squeezes her eyes shut for a moment.

"It's alright. I promise we aren't going to hurt you. We are here to help. Please... We are almost home. We'll get you're head looked at."

Ärztin shook her head, her hands pushing at the other woman's armor. "I don't want to be reconditioned... I can't do it anymore... I can't."

Fareeha stripped her armor off, throwing it into her locker as quickly as she could before turning to bolt from the hanger. 76 and Lena had guided Angela toward the medbay where Winston waited to examine the doctor. She had been ordered to change and as much as she wanted to argue she knew her armor would be a bigger hindrance than anything. Racing to the medbay she found Winston already busy with removing the doctor's new suit, piling the armor by the examination table.

Angela looked forward with that same far off expression she had in the drop ship and it broke Fareeha's heart every time she saw it. Clearing her throat she stepped further into the medbay, "Need any help?"

Winston looked up for a moment, "Ah yes. Help me get this armor off. I need to get scans as quickly as possible. There's no telling what they did to her."

Fareeha nodded, stepping forward with numb fingers to assist in removing the impish armor from Angela. Once they had finished she helped him lay the doctor back on the table. "Winston..." She starts, cutting herself off before stepping back.

"I know Fareeha. Believe me I know." He says, pressing a few buttons on a keyboard near the table to initiate the scan.

Angela blinked as the light passed over her eyes but that was the only reaction the doctor gave. "Scan complete." Athena's voice rings from the computer's speaker. "Hostile nanobots detected. I recommend they be removed as quickly as possible and quarantined."

Winston hums softly, "Watch her while I run to Angela's office. I need to grab a few things for the extraction process." Fareeha nods, crossing her arms as he hurries toward the doctor's office. She tries not to let her mind wonder over everything that has happened over the past few months, her focus on the woman laying just feet from her. Angela was safe and sound and Winston would soon have her back to normal.

At least... That's what she kept telling herself.

Winston had worked his fair share of miracles before and she had no real reason to doubt him. Look what had had done to ensure Lena could stay with them. He was no stranger to doing what seemed impossible. Fareeha forced herself to sit on a stool nearby, her foot bouncing impatiently. It wouldn't be long before everything was back to the way it should be...

The gorilla in question made his way back across the medbay with the equipment he would need, adjusting his glasses as he set about the task at hand. Fareeha wouldn't pretend she knew half of what he was doing, attaching wires and plugging in machines she had only seen on display in Angela's office. He finished by taping off an IV in the dazed woman's right hand. "Alright... Here we go."

Coughing once into his over sized fist her turns back to the computer. "Athena run a quick check on everything."

The AI whirs in response, making quick work of her task, "All green. You should be clear to preform the transfer now."

Winston nods to the screen, double checking a canister beside the computer before initiating the transfer. The computer beeped a few times before a steady stream of darkened liquid began to flow from Angela into the canister. The process seemed painless for the most part and Fareeha couldn't help but feel thankful for that.

Angela seemed to snap back to awareness in an instant, her back arching and her face contorting in pain. She gasped for air as Fareeha and Winston both rushed to keep her still on the table. "What's going on?" Fareeha's voice is constricted with fear, her dark eyes finding Winston as she pins the writhing doctor to the table.

Winston slowly pulls away, making sure the other woman has a good hold before going to check the status on the computer. "It must be the nanobots reacting. The extraction must have triggered something in the altered programming!" He types quickly, blocking out the sound of a struggle behind him.

"Winston!"

Winston ignores her, rushing toward Angela's office. He returns after the longest two minutes of Fareeha's life with a vial of clear liquid. "This should shut the nanobots off completely!" He says, quickly injecting the liquid into the IV. The two wait, watching Angela for any signs of change. After nearly five minutes the convulsions began to slow before stopping completely.

Fareeha stood back, wiping her forehead with the back of her hand while Winston returned to the computer. "Any other surprises we should be looking out for?" She asks, looking over the now unconscious doctor. Winston didn't respond, eyes darting over the progress report.

After over twenty minutes the computer beeped and Winston let out a sigh of relief. The transfer was complete. He sealed off the canister, sitting it aside to be quarantined before turning to Fareeha with a hopeful smile, "I know waiting isn't your favorite thing in the world but now only time will tell." She didn't know what it was about him but it seemed his hopeful nature was infectious. She could feel the seeds of doubt that had once been so strong start to wilt at the sight of his smile.

Fareeha let out a sigh, planting herself on the forgotten stool. "If waiting is all I can do..."

Winston reaches across the bed to pat her shoulder, "Then waiting is what we shall do. Athena will keep an eye on her status. I would recommend you get something to eat or a shower but I know it would be futile to try and convince you to leave. I'll be back to check on you in a few hours." He takes the canister with him, glancing back at the two for a moment before continuing on his way out of the medbay. He'd need to contain the nanobots safely before they were able to reboot.

Fareeha stretched out her tired limbs with another sigh. She hated waiting that much was true but if it meant that Angela was closer to recovering she would wait years if she had to. Just having the doctor back and within arms reach was enough to bring her comfort now.

Her doctor was back and she wasn't going to let her go again anytime soon.
