"Kill me," said Kasumi to Wish, as they sat in first period history.

"It gets better," said Wish, reading a history book. "Humans," she chuckled. "Such simple creatures, fighting amongst themselves. Actually quite interesting."

"No," disagreed Kasumi. "The Sailor Wars of XXIV were a lot more interesting. I'm glad we stuck with the alliance side."

"Heh," said Wish. "Good fight."

"Hey guys!" said Usagi, coming in late, but the teacher was late too so she slipped by.

"Hey!" said Kasumi with great enthusiasm.

"Uwaaa, it's so sad," said Usagi. "It was a little chilly this morning!"

"Tragic," said Kasumi.

"You know what that means!" said Usagi. "Summer is ending soon! It's terrible!"

"D'ah," said Kasumi.

"Hmm," said Wish. "This planet has a short revolutionary cycle."

"Hey Wish," said Usagi. "I thought you hated history!"

"I do," said Wish. "But I like to look at things in a much smaller perspective sometimes. It's quite amusing, reading someone's side of a story when they don't know the big picture."

"You're pretty goofy," said Usagi. "Always in the mood to crack some jokes. But I heard all the freshman boys find you attractive. In fact, they can't stop talking about you!"

Wish looked away. "Hmm," she said. "That is of no concern to me."

"What'd they say about me?" asked Kasumi.

"Ah," said Usagi. "They talk about you a lot too! I'm actually quite jealous! I wonder if I was a transfer student if I'd get as much attention as you."

"No," said Kasumi. "You would just be a transfer student, whereas I'm a beautiful transfer student."

"Hmm," said Usagi. "So yeah, summer's days are numbered."

"That's not the only thing with numbered days," said Kasumi.

"Ah, you're right!" said Usagi. "Way to look on the bright side! It's only a matter of time until fall festival! How exciting!"

"Leave me alone," said Kasumi. "I've had enough banter for today."

"Aww," said Usagi.

She retreated back to her pals.

"What'd they have to say?" asked Rei.

"Oh, just goofy stuff like usual," said Usagi. "I'm glad they're getting accustomed to our school system."

Everyone pushed their desks together for lunch.

Kasumi had a bag lunch, and handed a sandwich out of it to Wish.

"Ah," said Usagi, opening her lunch box. "What do I have today?"

"What do you have today?" asked Kasumi, forcing herself to make small talk.

"Hmm," said Usagi. "My mom Ikuko used to make me a nice box lunch, but now I just have to throw something together in the morning."

"Sad," said Kasumi.

"Interesting," said Rei, looking in her lunch that Grandpa packed her.

She pulled out a note. She read it for one second and then tore it up.

"What was that?" said Usagi.

"Grandpa told me to pass it to Kasumi. It was inappropriate, so I destroyed it."

"What a crook," said Wish.

"Oh, guys, you'll never believe what happened on my way to my locker!" exclaimed Minako.

"What happened?" asked Rei. "Did some boy ask you out?"

"Yes," said Minako. "They ask me out all the time. But this one was good looking."

"Did you say yes?!" asked Usagi.

"No," said Minako sadly. "His forehead was too big."

"Don't be so picky!" complained Usagi. "Back in the older seasons, you used to talk about trying to find a boyfriend all the time! It's actually quite odd that a pretty girl like you couldn't find one!"

"Awwww, thanks!" said Minako. "But sadly it was just anime logic. Besides, I'm not the only good-looking girl that can't find a boyfriend. Right, Kasumi?"

"Huh?!" said Kasumi. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"I heard 14 boys asked you out last week," said Minako. "And you turned all of them down."

"Yes," said Kasumi. "They're too young for me."

"I heard four of them were seniors," said Minako.

"How are you keeping track of this?" said Rei.

"I have my ends and means," said Minako. "Kasumi, you already have quite the reputation as a heartbreaker."

"Good," said Kasumi.

"How about you, Wish?" asked Minako. "I heard only ten boys asked you out, but you also turned them down? Is it perhaps because you already have a crush on someone else!?"

"NO!" screamed Wish. "I'm just not looking for a relationship right now!"

"Denial?" asked Minako.

"NO!" repeated Wish.

Kasumi smirked. "There's one guy that's caught Wish's eye. Sadly he's a weakling and a mortal!"

"He is not a weakling!" said Wish. "He could give you a run for your money, if it was the best day of his life! He's very handsome, too!"

"That is true," agreed Kasumi. "However, I think you're just afraid to ask him out because it's embarrassing for such a powerful entity like you to admit that you fell in love with a mortal."

"He is hardly a mortal," said Wish. "He could probably live forever too! I'll make sure of it!"

"Do I smell a love triangle?" said Minako.

"Is this part of some online game or something?" asked Usagi. "I used to know this nerd boy who loved MMOs, and played eroge all day! Sadly he passed."

"Wow," said Kasumi. "You know a lot of people around you that passed. Did you ever think that you're the problem?"

"No," said Usagi. "They were all killed by an evil man named Jadeite."

"Mmm," said Wish. "That's a nice name."

"I should tell him you like him," said Kasumi.

"No," said Wish. "I'll throw you into a sun."

"You know that can't defeat me," said Kasumi.

"Wow, you two are really close," said Rei. "You know many inside jokes."

"Yes," said Kasumi. "Many inside jokes."

"Anyway," said Kasumi, standing up. "It's time to go. Come along, Wish."

Wish bowed and left.

"Odd girls," said Usagi for the 100th time.
