Chapter .2.

Kelly was so nervous. She was going to finally see her Dad after all these years. She was now a teenager. And had grown up so much. Would her Dad even recognise her? But then again he was in a coma at the moment. And she knew what her Aunt Kate wasn't saying. She knew that now all people in comas actually woke up. Some even had brain damage! She didn't know what she would do if her Dad had brain damage or didn't know her. She things she would break if that happened.

All she wanted for years was to see her Dad again but Uncle Tony, Aunt Kate and Uncle Ari all said it was so very dangerous for anyone to know she was alive or go and tell her Dad she was alive. She understood that. She didn't want to get her father killed.

But now it didn't matter he was hurt anyway. So it wasn't like he could get any more hurt.

Kelly also wondered about her Dad's team. She heard so much about them and was nervous and excited to meet them. She knew her Uncle Tony had some bad experiences with them. But Aunt Katie told her most of the good things. Not that her Uncle Tony didn't say good things about them he did. But she still heard some of the things he told Aunt Kate and Uncle Ari when he thought she was in bed and sleep.

It was the only way to find out some things was for her to eardrop. So she knew quite a bot out the team.

She also knew what they looked like thanks to pictures she had been shown. So she would recognise everyone who would be with her father she hoped.

She also hoped they would believe she was her Dad's daughter. But Auntie Kate would be there so she could vouch for her.

It was going to be funny seeing their reactions to her Aunt Katie and Uncle Ari. That would be some entertainment…

Kate just knew that Tony was going to kill her and Ari for bringing Kelly back to the States and bringing her straight to her Father.

Oh how Tony was going to yell at her for not telling or waiting for him. But it was not like he was reachable. She couldn't get in contact with him. So she would just had to tell him that when he started yelling.

As it was as soon as Gibbs woke he would be yelling at her. So she was going to tell Gibbs it was all Tony's idea she didn't mind throwing in front of a bus.

Better him then her…

Ari was nervous about coming back here to the States after what he did the last time he was here. He hoped he wouldn't get arrested. He had hopefully changed his appearance enough not to get arrested on spot. He also hoped Kate and Kelly would hopefully settle the Team and Gibbs down.

But he expected to be shot by the Agents about what he did and keeping Kelly's survival a secret. But it was actually Tony who did that! So it is not like it was his fault! He would throw Tony under a bus to save himself.

As it was Tony wasn't here to get shot.

The team were in Gibbs's hospital room. They were discussing what to do. They had no idea what to do now their leader was in a coma. They couldn't run the investigation themselves. They had never done that before. And Burley wasn't confident that he could lead the investigation.

And they didn't have Tony to help. Which they knew was partly there fault too. They had been unfair and cruel to Tony. No wonder he left.

They also realised how much Kate's death had effected Tony. They had been so caught up in their grief then Ziva's arrival to help Tony. And Tony had been closer to Kate then all of them ever had.

"So who will be taking on the investigation Director?" Ducky asks

"I will have to see if Agent Burns team could take over. Burley are you sure you can't lead it?" Jenny asks the Senior Field Agent

Stan Burley knew he wasn't really part of this team. He had been told often he wasn't DiNozzo. He did resent DiNozzo a bit. He was basically a living legend at NCIS for putting up with Gibbs so long and doing it solo for so long. Nobody had ever been able to work with that man solo before.

Stan had been made a 'trainee' by Abby saying she needed to train him to be more like DiNozzo. It had been humiliating. He didn't even know why he put up with it.

"No I am not made to lead a solo investigation", Stan replies

"Do you think he will wake up?" McGee asks looking at Gibbs

"Don't say that Timmy! This is Gibbs of course he will wake up!" Abby calls smacking McGee's head like Gibbs does

"Do you think this is a revenge plot?" Ziva asks fiddling with her knife

"It is possible", Stan admits

"Whatever the case I am sure we will find out who did this. Agent Burns team is good. But not as good as your team", Jenny replies

"Are team is not that good Director", McGee says quietly

There was quiet. It was true sense DiNozzo left their 98% Closer rate back dropped to 90%. Which had made Gibbs's temper even more volatile.

But they ALL knew the true reason he was more volatile. It was because they hadn't found Tony. It was Tony who could else Gibbs's temper. They never realised before just how much of Gibbs's anger Tony took when he had been with them. The head slapping had increased since Tony left. Stan wasn't capable enough to redirect Gibbs's temper. Or he didn't want too.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. The team turns to see a teen with long red-hair looking at Gibbs with many emotions in her eyes. But what they really noticed was that tears were in the girls eyes.

"Dad?" the girl whispers

"Dad?" the team yells

Jenny looks at the teen. She had seen a picture of Gibbs's daughter and this teen looked to be an older version of the little girl that supposedly died all those years ago.
'Who are you?" Jenny asks

The girl looks at her.

"I am his daughter", the girl says

"He doesn't have a daughter", Abby says confused

"His daughter is dead", Jenny replies shocking the team

"Ahh no I'm not", the teen says

"How?" Ducky asks

"Witness protection", the teen says simply

"Then how are you here? Wit SAC don't let people out of witness protection unless the danger had passed", Jenny replies

"Well it wasn't normal witness protect. I lived with a man that is like my Uncle. With his friends who are like siblings who I call Uncle and Aunt too. They are in witness protection too. My Uncle when he hid me and found out his friend and her husband had to go in witness protection too decided to hide us together", the teen explains

"What is your name?" Ziva asks the teen

"Kelly. Kelly Gibbs is my really name. I am 16", Kelly tells them

"Are you here along my dear?" Ducky asks

"Of course not! My Uncle would kill his sister-like figure and her husband if they did that! Then again he WILL kill them after he realises they let me come here", Kelly replies with a small smile

"So this person is not here?" McGee asks

"He is on a mission and unreachable", Kelly replies slowly walking over

"Then who are you with?" Ziva asks

"He is with me", a familiar female voice says

Familiar too Abby, McGee and Ducky that is. Who looked at her in shock and disbelief.

The figure in the doorway was none other the Kate Todd.

"Surprised? What lost for words or cat got your tongue?"
