Hello my readers and fellow writers, I hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend. I've been hearing people say that now that the weather is warming up, the Coronavirus will go dormant. But I still say we should still keep doing precautions either way to keep us all safe and healthy. (This chapter is off of the Star Wars Rebels, The Siege of Lothal.)

An Encounter with the Ghost Crew

Lita was currently on Lothal at the Imperial Complex or as it was also referred to as, the Imperial Command Center, walking with Vader to meet with Agent Kallus and Minister Maketh Tua to discuss plans dealing with a group of rebels. The Emperor was having growing concern of the rise of rebel activity, so he sent Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin to Lothal to deal with the growing with rebellion. Lita didn't pay too much attention to everything that was being said because she found it tedious. Why did she and Vader have to get involved in it? Couldn't Tarkin take care of it himself? If not, then why couldn't the Emperor go to Lothal to help him? And did he always order Vader to do all the work while he sat on his butt on Coruscant? If the Emperor is all the powerful why doesn't he do things himself?

"Why can't the Emperor take care of this?" Lita asked her father as they were walking.

"I told you that the Emperor is busy with things on Imperial Center," Vader responded.

"You mean Coruscant?" Lita comments furrowing her eyebrows, "As if sitting around in his palace is so exhausting."

While Vader was amused by the girl's mouthy words of the Emperor, he knew it would cause trouble if anyone else were to hear. "Lita, do not speak that way of the Emperor," Vader scolded firmly.

"But you feel the same way too Father," Lita points out.

"That is of no matter if someone were to hear, it could create serious problems," Vader replies firmly, "Now come, Agent Kallus is expecting us and put your hood up."

Lita just sighed and put the hood of her cloak over her head as she followed her father. When they got to a room they were hearing a man and a woman arguing.

"Well I've doubled patrols, set up checkpoints, established curfews," Minister Tua's voice said, "I honestly don't know what else to do."

"Perhaps that is the problem," Vader responds as he and Lita came in. "You lack imagination, Minister, when it comes to producing results."

"Lord Vader, with all due respect, you and Governor Tarkin are asking for miracles," Minister Tua admits, "If the rebels have left Lothal, then..."

"If the rebels have left, then we must draw them back," Darth Vader replies, "And if they are here, we must draw them out, we will squeeze Lothal until someone reveals the whereabouts of these traitors."

"I'm sorry, my lord," Minister Tua responded. "I am merely a public official I have no experience with such brutal tactics."

"You can explain that to Governor Tarkin when you visit him," Darth Vader said to her.

"Visit him?" Minister Tua asks nervously.

"He expects you tomorrow, to account for your failure," Darth Vader states as he walks away with Lita following.

"But I, I'm needed here!" Minister Tua said. "I-I couldn't possibly get away!"

"Not to worry, Minister," Agent Kallus assured as he followed Vader and Lita out of the room. "Lord Vader and I will manage in your absence."

Once they left the room, Vader turned to Agent Kallus, "Make sure that Minister Tua arrives at her shuttle safely," his voice boomed, "We can never be too careful when it comes to security these days."

Lita frowned she didn't need the power of the Force to tell her that there was something more sinister to what her father was saying.

"Yes, Lord Vader," Agent Kallus replied with a sinister smile. Just before Agent Kallus left he turned to Lita and gave a nod.

After a while ago, Vader and Lita were in one of the rooms at the Imperial Command Center, it was just announced that Minister Tua was assassinated by the rebels, but Lita was betting it was someone else who did it. Darth Vader received a transmission from Agent Kallus.

"Everything has happened as you predicted, Lord Vader." Agent Kallus reported.

"Now inform the populace the rebel assassins hide in their midst," Darth Vader ordered. "Lock down the spaceport and make it known any ship attempting to leave will be destroyed."

"Right away." Agent Kallus replied.

Vader then turned to Lita, "Come my daughter."

Lita followed Vader, but was feeling conflicted as a million thoughts were in her head. On one hand, Lita loves her father, but she also is against the Empire and she never once believed that what they were doing was right.

With The Ghost Crew,

Hera and Sabine began moving the shield generators to the shuttle.

"Zeb, Ezra, grab all we can carry," Hera ordered. "These might help turn this day around the fleet could sure use them."

Ezra and Zeb were helping with moving shield generators to the shuttle with Kanan at their heels but then he stopped as his eyes widen in shock as Ezra did the same.

"Do you feel that?" Ezra asked.

"The cold," Kanan responds and looked behind them.

There standing in the doorway was Darth Vader, who let out a mechanical breathing and activated his blood red lightsaber. By his side was a blonde girl who was around Ezra's age, who also activated a red lightsaber, to them it looked like she was Vader's apprentice.

Darth Vader and Lita walked towards Kanan and Ezra causing them to activate their lightsabers while the stormtroopers move to flank the other rebels.

"Hera, go!" the man ordered the Twi'lek. "We'll cover you!"

"Kanan, look out!" Hera shouted.

Kanan saw Vader attempting to strike him causing him to quickly block his blood red lightsaber and they began dueling each other. Ezra then turned his attention to Lita and engaged her in a duel.

Zeb and Sabine got in a firefight with the stormtroopers to cover Hera and Chopper as they load the shield generators onto the shuttle and prepare to take off.

As Kanan was fighting Vader it didn't take long for the Sith Lord to overpower him. When Kanan was knocked out of the fight, Vader turned his attention to the padawan, who was being overpowered by Lita, the Sith Lord then uses the Force to pin the boy against a wall.

"Your master has deceived you into believing you can become a Jedi," Vader taunts Ezra.

Vader then began using the force to bring Ezra's own lightsaber toward the padawan's throat. Lita's eyes widen at what she saw, she was once again conflicted, as a part of her didn't want her father to kill the blue-haired boy.

Lita was having the urge to save him but Kanan recovers in time to see Vader trying to kill Ezra causing him to rush towards the Dark Lord to fight him again. Ezra got released from Vader's force hold and dropped on the floor. Kanan ends up getting slashed on the shoulder by the Dark Lord's counterattack.

Hera went up to Chopper. "Get ready to fly us outta here!" She stated.

Chopper beeped in response.

Sabine and Zeb hid behind a bunch of crates. "You know what I do in hopeless situations?" Sabine asked taking out a few detonators and gave them to Zeb.

"Yeah," Zeb responded with a smirk. "Blow stuff up."

Zeb and Sabine throw thermal detonators onto some nearby AT-DP walkers, scattering the stormtroopers and distracting Vader and Lita.

"Aim for the walkers," Kanan instructed.

Ezra reached out to the force to drop the walkers behind Vader and Lita.

"Now!" Kanan ordered.

Ezra and Kanan used the Force to knock the Dark Lord of the Sith and the girl off-balance as the walkers crash down on them. Vader quickly uses the Force to push Lita out of the way before they came down all the way.

"No!" Lita screamed.

But then they heard a screeching sound and saw Vader using the force to lift the burning walkers into the air, with not even a scratch on him. Lita smiled at seeing her father wasn't hurt.

"If that doesn't kill him, what will?!" Ezra asked.

"Not us," Kanan replied. "Run!"

"Go, Chop!" Hera ordered and looked at her companions.

"Come on! Come on!" Sabine calls out to Kanan and Ezra.

Kanan and Ezra made a run to the shuttle only mere steps ahead of Vader and Lita. Sabine opened fire on Vader and Lita trying to delay them. However father and daughter deflected the blaster shots back at her, scorching her chest-plate and helmet. Ezra and Kanan quickly jumped into the ramp and the shuttle took off.

A stormtrooper rushed up to Vader. "My lord, I will mobilize our fighters to pursue," he said.

"That will be unnecessary, Commander," Vader replied. "The rebels will not leave the planet yet."

Back at the Imperial Command Center, Vader was looking out at the window to the city Lita was with him when Agent Kallus came in.

"My lord, our scans have indicated that the stolen shuttle has not attempted to leave the system," Agent Kallus reported.

"Fear has driven them to ground," Vader stated, "There is a refugee camp the rebels have provided aid to in the past."

"Yes, Tarkintown they call it," Agent Kallus said. "You suspect the rebels are in hiding there?"

"No, but I want you to burn it," Vader replied. "The compassion of the rebels is a weakness, one we will exploit."

Lita gasps at what Vader had said. But there are innocent people there. How can he?

"Yes, my lord," Agent Kallus responded with a little bow.

Agent Kallus then walked out leaving the Sith Lord alone with his daughter, although Agent Kallus was only told that the girl was his apprentice.

"Father you can't be serious," Lita protested, "There are people there, good people. It's bad enough that they live in depression and poverty."

"It is of necessary action to put a stop to the Rebels," Vader replied coldly then added firmly, "We are also going to have a talk of your behavior when we're done here."

Originally I was going to have Lita stopping Vader from trying to kill Ezra Bridger, but I changed my mind. Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed this chapter. May the Force Be With You!
