Prince of Tennis – The Echizen Charm

What if Ryoma took a little more after his father?

Tezuka knew something was different about Echizen the moment he set eyes on the fifteen year old. He was much taller than when he was twelve, his hair was longer, and his walk showed something between utter arrogance and control, not unlike his younger self, but at the same time, Tezuka could sense something... Peculiar about him.

His first clue was when he saw the look Fuji gave Echizen one day after practice. The genius had grown into a sort of monster, Tezuka had to admit, with the gait of a predator when he set his eyes on someone he was interested in, and Echizen was clearly an impressive prey. Fuji, though, seemed to forget who Echizen was – Tezuka could see it, though, and decided to watch on.

"Fuji–sempai propositioned me" – Echizen told Tezuka the day after, and the captain nearly choked to death right there and then.

"Excuse me?"

"Yesterday, he walked me home and he asked if I wanted to hang out sometime"

"That doesn't sound–"

"And then he said he wanted to see how much I'd grown up"

"..."

"He wanted to show me his bedroom"

"..."

"I showed him my room instead" – that made Tezuka stare at him for a long moment.

"Excuse me? You– You showed– What?" – Echizen smirked slowly, and Tezuka could see the devil in his cat–like eyes.

"I could hardly pass up the opportunity to see what everyone had been talking about since middle school"

"But– Echizen, what– What have people saying since– And how would you even–?"

"People talk, buchou, and I listened"

"..."

If Fuji's look was the first clue that Echizen had changed, this conversation showed Tezuka that the kid he'd known was all but gone, and he wondered if he should do something, given Echizen clearly still trusted and relied on him as his captain.

"You know, I never really believed people when they talked about his tongue, but–"

"... Please don't"

Maybe not. Maybe he didn't need to be there for Echizen after all. Of course, whatever he wanted meant little, because as usual, the younger kid did what he pleased, when he pleased, the way he pleased.

Thus began Tezuka's saga as Echizen's sounding board on his crusade to get every single one of his teammates and opponents in bed. It wasn't what Tezuka wanted out of his last year in high school, that much was certain, but no matter how many times he told Echizen that he wasn't interested in hearing about this guy's lack of experience or that guy's stamina, he continued talking.

Tezuka missed the days where Echizen barely said a word. If only. Did he ever, EVER, need to know how good in bed Echizen found the likes of Rikkaidai's Sanada? No, he did not. Did he need to hear one more sexual story about Hyoutei team? Again, no, he did not. But Echizen downright followed him around in order to tell him yet another story, and running away was so undignified.

That and Echizen had followed him home one too many times, and his parents and grandfather had grown to like the kid. Clearly, alongside a shocking libido, Echizen had managed to also pick up some impressive acting skills, smiling ever so sweetly at the clueless Tezuka adults. It was all Tezuka could do not to burst out laughing at the thought of Echizen dazzling his family just so he could talk Tezuka's ear out about another one of his sexual escapades.

"Echizen, please, no more" – Tezuka begged when the kid was midway through a story about Fuji and his brother.

"Buchou?"

"I beg you, I cannot hear another story about you and– I understand you may need someone impartial to listen to you, but– Why me, Echizen?"

"You're buchou"

"I know I am, but, no more, I can't hear about you and– I'm glad you are having fun, I really am, Echizen, but I can't"

"..."

"I'm sorry"

"You need to get laid yourself, buchou"

"… Who said I don't?" – that made Echizen blink at him and snort after a moment.

"I knew there was a reason Monkey King wouldn't go for me"
