12 BBY
Leia Organa was many things adventurous, kind, loving, mischievous. But not paitent. It was one of the flaws she had as a girl her age. This particular flaw was something that concerned her mother and father. The Rebal leader was concerned because she knew coupled with the impatience and Leia's temper it could be an unforgiving combination.
So naturally the former senator had her concerns when Leia had to start take her ettique lessons.
"Do I have to go mom?" Leia whined as Padmé tied the sash of her tea dress. The dress was a pale pink with white flowers. She wore hair in a casual lose braid cascading down the side of her head. Padmé was dressed in her servent's outfit to help get Leia ready for her lesson.
"Yes, I am sorry you have to do this." She gave a little smile. "I wasn't the most receptive with my ettique lessons either." Padmé then smooth last of the wrinkle's on her daughter's dress. The former queen thought of the things she used to do get out of these lessons.
"Really?" Leia whined again, fighing in her entire outfit. She started her ettique lesson this year. It was royal behavior, for parties, dimplomacy, and greetings. The lessons were once week, for eight hours and she had to dress up for them too. The time was so dreadful for the active princess. It was a boaring experience that she and Winter had to suffer through.
This is the part Leia hated the most about being a princess.
Amist Leia's thoughts, the former queen looked at her daughter in the full lenghth mirror.
Padmé smiled.
As much as she wanted a boy when she fell pregnant, the want for a girl was there just as strong. The want to dress her up, do her hair, share moments like this, even having her continue her political legacy.
Padmé felt her eyes water from the happiness. "Yes really." Leia felt a smile start to creap up on her face. "How about this, you do your lessons, then you and I have a mother daughter day. Just you and me." Leia's eyes brightened at the idea.
"Princess Leia," Both women turned at the sound of the golden droid starting to speak. "Sir Bail has informed me that Aeshi Sherrol has arrived and is wating with Princess Winter in the dining room." Leia immediately frowned. She walk to the driod with hesitation toward her compainion. As she crossed the door opening she gave her mother one more pleading look, as she made her way to the dining room.
o-o-o
Aeshi Sherrol is a proper woman. An ettique teacher by trade she has scene her share of boys, girls, even the occasional creature try to climb their way to the top with her lessons. When the Empire came to power, her buniess took a dive and she was forced into taking a low wage job on Aldraaan. She was itially surprised with the call from the Royal Palace. She was happy at he prospect of doing what she loved again. Even she had no idea the challenge that was Leia Organa.
The teacher though was nothing but determined.
Winter had an outfit on similar to Leia's with her hair done in two braids. She silently had taken her seat before Leia came in. she really wasn't a fan of these lesson but she knew better then to test the teacher's patients.
"Today we are going through a ten course meal." Aeshi turned at the sound of groan. The younger one, Leia had a little attitude when it came to these lessons. But Aeshi knew how to deal with this fire.
"Ten courses, I know you both think is a bore what we can we possible accomplish learning which fork it is time for." Winter looked intruged, Leia had a challenging look on her face. "The point of learning is for knowledge, knowledge is power. Power you can use to decive your enemies into think and feeling anything you want." The force senstitive girl perked up at this. She never thought of this torture as a way to destroy the enemy, the bad men.
Aeshi smirk on the inside, she knew how to make them all listen. "So the first fork…" and it went on like that for eight hours. Fork after fork, plate after plate, course after course Leia thought she was going to lose her mind. She also felt that Winter wasn't doing any better. It was a long day but they some how got through it. She raced to her room once her teacher dismissed them.
The princess shed her cloths and pulled out her braid once she slamed her door. Happy to be free of her lesson she slipped on her one of her comfortable outfits. Padmé came in waering a casual outfit as well, with her hair in pony tail.
"Long day sweetie?" Padmé asked while smiling at her daughter. She had a conversation her teacher after Leia left. It seemed her tactic work, though she should be worried for what it meant for Leia.
"Yeah, I am so happy its over." She smiled and hugged her mom.
"I talked to your teacher," Leia had a guilty look starting to form, "She told me how well behaved you were the entire time." Leia turned to look to see her mother smile back at her and continued. "So I was thinking maybe we can start our mother daughter day tonight." Leia look started to morphed into a confused one.
"I thought I have school tomorrow?"
"Well I think we could play hooky for a day." Padmé said agian smiled.
"Yeah, we can do fun stuff." She said excitedly.
"Yes we can my little ewoke." Leia gave her mother a look.
"I'm not little no more. I am seven, I am going to be in the young legislature program soon." The young Skywalker said with fire in her eyes. Padmé knew it too, she sees it everyday in her daughter. Dispite all the pain and loss she felt, she takes joy in what her daughter is becoming.
The two Naberrie women went to Padmé's room and started to watch her favorite Holovideo late into the night. they both slepted in late and went to the kitchen to make their breakfast together.
Leia couldn't remember the last time she had scene her mom so happy. The force user also felt the force around her mother at easy for the first time in a long time. The young Skywalker felt the change slowly, after the Gingerbell festival a year cycle ago. Her mother had this incredible sadness that felt everlasting suddenly started to go away. The saddeness still lingered but her mother's happiness was this burning light that she never wanted to burn out.
Leia's smile didn't go unnoticed by he mother who was whisking gartro eggs for their omlettes.
"Why are you so smiley Leia." The former senator knew her daughter was having a rough time with her lessons, school, and what was happening in Alderaan.
"I am just happy to be wit you momma. This is so much fun." Padmé knew there was something deeper, something in the force that her daughter felt from her. She let it go and they contined to spend the day together. They went sailing, and had a picnic on the lake. They had manicure's & pedicure's at the salon. Then they finished they day off with a nice movie in Padmé's room.
Leia was sound asleep before the end of the movie. Padmé was not that far behind.
The air and sky around them was perfect as waterfall hummed in the background. The Jedi Padawan and Senator sat on a blanket in the middle of the enchanting with picnic basket. The two of them, alone started a light conversation.
"I don't know," Padmé was trying to move away from their current topic. She had a lot on her mind. Her vote on the military creation act was crumbling, her life was in danger, and now she had to deal with these feelings Anakin had stired up in her. The little boy who was kind to her, saved her home planet had never left her thoughts. Now he was her no long a little boy, but a young man.
It doesn't make it easy that she has to tell him about the last person she had feelings for. Especially with the feelings she is trying to hide from the man in front of her.
"You just don't want to tell me." Anakin said with a light smile. He was trying to contain his feelings that have been raging inside of him since he heard her name again. This beautiful Angel, the angel he thought about every day since he met her long ago.
"You gonna use one of your Jedi mind tricks on me?" Padmé said with a teasing smile. Part of her did fear these powers he had. How he might use them on her.
"They only work on the weak-minded." Anakin replied still anticipating her answer.
"All right. I was 12. His name was Palo. We were both in the Legislative Youth Program."The senator admitted. "He was a few years older than I."
"Very cute." Padmé tried to get a rise out of the Padawan."Dark, curly hair." She saw his twitching as she continued to describe her former boyfriend."Dreamy eyes."
"All right, I get the picture." Anakin quipited as he turned his face away. "Whatever happened to him?
"I went into public service;he went on to become an artist." She replied in a matter of fact tone. He seemed to lighten up to the fact that he wasn't in the same field as her.
"Maybe he was the smart one." Anakin said with his feelings for politicans staring to come out.
"You really don't like politicians, do you?" Padmé inquired.
"I like two or three…" Anakin looked at her flitashously. "but I'm not really sure about one of them." They both chukled lightly.
"I don't think the system works." Anakin stated.
"How would you have it work?" Padmé asked still trying to keep her tone light.
"We need a system where the politicians sit down and discuss the problem...agree what's in the best interest of all the people, and then do it." Anakin said truthfully. He was still nervous being here with her. The Padawan need to show her that he was not the same boy she first met.
"That's exactly what we do." Padmé stated. "The trouble is that people don't always agree." Padmé said playfully. She was still trying hide the growing warmth inside of her from being around Anakin.
"Well, then they should be made to." Anakin said in a darker tone.
"By whom?" Padmé felt the conversation start to change. "Who's gonna make them?"Padmé voice started to raise a little.
" I don't know." Anakin said as he looked away."Someone." Anakin contined. Not trying to argue with this angel infront of him.
"You?" She accosted Anakin, trying not to let her anger show on what he was insinuating.
"Of course not me." He scoffed at her. Dimplomacy was not his thing, it never will be. But he has seen enough horrors in his short life to know how broken the system is.
"But someone." Anakin pauses briefly as he turns to see her disappointed face. "Someone wise." He hopes she sees that he is tallking about her. The woman who defended her world. Who is willing to die for her principles. She is the perfect leader for the galaxy.
"Sounds an awful lot like a dictatorship to me." Padmé felt her body go cold. The beautiful man in front of her is support the thing she was fighting against. The senator schooled her features waiting for his reply.
"Well, if it works." Anakin finished darkly. He was standing by this, he knows there are very few people who truly care what happens in the galaxy.
There was slight pause between the two. Padmé saw a mastichivous glit it those expressive blue eyes. She felt the force around them settle and started to laugh.
"You're making fun of me." The senator started chuckle.
"No." Anakin started with a smile. "I'd be much too frightened to tease a senator." He said trying to cover what he truly fears from her.
They ate in silence taking in the beautiful sight's surround them.
A short while later, Padmé starting running through the valley like she did when she was a child. The senator lost in her pure joy lost track of her body guard. She then turned around and felt a smile grow. She saw Anakin gliding on a Shaak. The creatures who were Bellowing through the fields.
"Whoa, whoa!" Anakin shouted as the Shaak tossed him from its body.
Padmé contined to smile when Anakin starts to rise from his fall. She started to worry when she saw him fall again. She immedetly runs over to Anakin not hearing his laughter over the Saank bellowing.
"Oh, whoa!" Anakin gunted.
"Ani! Ani, are you all right?" Padmé said as she pulled him over. Her smile came back and she started to laugh with him. He then pulled them together as took them tumbling down the medow.
Padmé had him pinned down as they both started to breathing heavily, The senator knew it in this moment, this man beneath her, was going to be part of her life.
The senator just didn't realize the distruction that will follow.
Feeling the remains of her pleasant dream, Padmé momentary forgot where she was and who was in her bed. She felt it move and smiled.
"Ani…Mmm Anakin," she said lazly as she reached for her bed parter.
"Whos Anakin?" said a familier voice as reality set in for the mother. She quickly turned to her daughter's face that has curious expresson on her face with signs of sleep on it.
"He is someone I knew from long ago," Padmé said sadly.
He's your father who wanted to meet so badly…
But it's not this time … not yet.
"Like when you were on Naboo?" Leia said with wonder.
"Almost. When I was queen of Naboo." Padmé said with a sad smile.
"Cool was he a senator like daddy?" Leia asked. Padmé had told her daughter about her reign as queen and senator.
"No he was a friend, a good friend who died before you were born." The rebel leader said in a solem tone. It broke her heart that she couldn't tell her the truth about her father. Someday she will tell Leia about her real father.
o-o-o
Weeks later Padmé was packing for another trip to Dantooine. It was her second one this year. The rebellion now was at a stand still. Their resourses were dwindling at an alarming rate. They had few allies on the Outer rim, and the latest blockade on Mygeeto was putting bind into their already low resourses. Padmé put putting her normal disguse on, and starting going over the main topics for the meeting with high command. The rebellion was still small but their impact on the galxy was being felt.
With her disguse in place she made her way to the round table waiting for the rest of the members. The first to walk in was General Garm Bel Iblis he flashed a smile to the digused member. The next were two of Padmé's former colleagues in the senate, scepticle of her naturally the two of them sat far from her. It use to bother her, but she slowly developed an understanding why she would be trustworthey.
She wouldn't even trust this strange person either.
The doors in the meeting room closed.
For three hours they discussed their possible options for finding a new source for supplies and intellgence officers. Most their spies had been comprimised, on top of their resource problem. Padmé was already considering the worse. She knew that the spread of the Empire was rampad and their propaganda was powerful. It would make anyone question why they would want it to end.
"I am sorry I just recived an incoming tramision from Fulcrum. Should we patch her through" Said General Bel Iblis drawing the former senator out of her thoughts. The two former senators looked at the disgused leader.
"Yes. Patch her though." Replied Padmé. She hid the relief in her voice. With their spy network breaking down the rebellion leader was not comfortable sending her friend into a death trap. Padmé's thoughts continued until she saw Ahsoka's figure materialize in front of her.
"Hello, this is Fulcrum. Id number FM9482 requesting permission to land." Ahsoka stated in a serious voice.
The female force user had gone on a reconnaissance misson to Jeyell. The Alliance was looking for any clues on their droid program or any other weapons they had been developing.
Ahsoka had been a little restless being on Alderaan for as long as she has. Galen had also found a new master better suited for him. Ahsoka had eased her in over the last year. She felt guilty though, because she knew she had to protect Leia and Padmé.
The female Togruta landed, and the entire room waited to hear her findings. Ahsoka or Fulcrum she was going by with the alliance, made her way in to the meeting.
"I was able to retrive the blue prints from Jeyell." Ahsoka started and continued for the next hour about the mission. She explained it with a little unease about what she encountered on Jeyell. Padmé saw the hauted look in Ahsoka's eyes grow as her debrief went on.
"I had just recived a copy of the blueprints, when I felt a cold presence surrounding me." Ahsoka paused trying to hide the fear in her voice. "I was able to hide in the hanger bay. My presence in the force was already masked." She said hiding her fear."I fear our spy network has broken down." Ahsoka continued on with her debrieif and when she was finishd the meeting ended.
The meeting ajorned shortly after leaving their participents more unsettled then when they started.
Hours later Padmé stood up in her bed staring at the spiky blba trees through her small window. There was so much on her mind she didn't hear the faint knocking until it became a bang.
"Who's there?" She said through a voice modulator.
"It's Fulcrum, I was sent to you for a full debrief." Ahsoka said in her serious Jedi voice. She saw the doors open and quickly made her way into the room.
Ahsoka looked at the former senator in her night attire and gave her a hug.
"I take there is more about Vader you want to discuss." She said as she pulled out their embrace. Ahsoka nodded softly as they sat on her bed.
"Before I had left I had this sense of forbaing. That somethng bad was going to happen," Ahsokah downcasted her eyes and continued. "Everthing was going fine. I had just finished copying the plans." She took a breath and looked at the rebel leader in fornt of her. "I felt this confusing energy, it was cold, and frightening. But the light was there too. It was concerning, so I stayed in the hanger bay." The female Togruta grasped the blanket benath her. "I saw all of them getting ready to greet some high ranking member of the military. I recognized the ship." Padmé watch the fear completely take over her voice. It was worse then when she was falsely convicted of bombing the senate. "Darth Vader walked out of shuttle with a stride that have scene before." She felt Padmé's confused look
"He was walking to the turbo lift, I could have sworn he saw me."
Padmé's eyes widen in surprise. "He saw you?" the foremer senator almost shouted.
"No, I mean. At the turbolift… what I saw, he paused and he was annoyned at something. He turned and saw him look in the direction of the ships. I saw the mask looking my way." It calmed the former Senator down slightly.
"I couldn't tell what he was looking for, So I lowered down into my hiding place. I grasped my two light sabors and I was ready to fight my way to one of their fighters." Ahsoka was trembling.
"Nothing happened," A tear want down her face. "I hid there the entire time he was there, Vader's precence was the only thing that kept me focused." She saw the concern on her friends face grow.
"Vader left with a smaller crowd, he seemd agitated. He said something, but I couldn't make it out through." Ahsoka said. She told Padmé the rest of her story but the rebel fighter knew she wasn't paying attention that part.
A silence passed throught the two friends. The former Jedi was clearly shaken and so was Padmé. The former senator could only contemplate the aray of emotions that Ahsoka was feeling being the presece of the Sith.
The Sith who destroyed eveything.
"Why do you think he wares a mask?" Ahsoka says looking though the window.
"I don't know," Padmé had asked this question in her head too. Why had this monster hide behind a mask. "It might have something to do with the battle he had with Anakin." The widower's eyes widened with surprise how easily she said his name.
"Anakin… yes I remember Obi-wan telling me. I know a battle that violent would have left something permanently scared." Unfortunaly both women knew how powerful Anakin was. It frightened the former senator to think what kind of rage her husband had directed at his rival.
"If that is true, I am glad that monster has constant reminder of who he took away." Padmé said as cold as surface of Hoth. Her husband had fallen, but his chance at redemption was taken away. Along with all the chances her son had.
"I hope so too." Ahsoka replied in a similar tone.
They stood there in silence as tiredness washed over them. Ahsoka turned around and gave her another hug before she left.
Sleep should have come easy to Padmé with all the fatigue settling in her body. But her mind refused to let her rest. Thinking about the state of the rebellion, her daughter, and what Ahsoka just told her about Darth Vader. Thoughts about that Sith were always there.
She tried to ask Obi-Wan about Vader, but he always shut her down. She saw the guilt everytime in the old Jedi`s eyes. Padmé eventually stopped, then asked Bail about his interaction with the Imperial leader. Bail didn't have anything to help the mystery either. The few people that she knew couldn't give her an inkling to who he was.
Padmé had tried drawing her own conclusions about the Sith Lord. From what he did to her, to actions on the Holonet, with claims the rebel spy network had given her. The picture of this Sith Lord was not adding up. He seamed to care about children, but he murdered her own. He was the picture of loyalty to the Emperor but her reports over the last two years say the opposite. Darth Vader is an enigma. Even though the rebellion is at a stand still Padmé knows she will eventually confront the Sith Lord.
When that happens she could only hope she knows what she will do.
o-o-o
Leia knew she was in for it this time. She sat in her trying not to listen to her parents discussing her punishment. Things have been hard on the little force user since her mother left for the rebellion a couple of weeks ago. She also felt the growing darkness and stress in Alderaan. It was still no excuse for what she had done.
"Leia," Breha Organa said in soft voice breaking Leia's thoughts. Both Breha and Bail came inside her room with disappointed looks on their faces. Leia was also disappointed in herself. She had got into a fight with Jorol Corliss. He was being his normal bully self and he started going after one her friends. Leia was already upset with the news that Padmé had to stay an extra week on her trip. It was lunch time and Leia was talking to her friend when he walked up to them. He had his loyal stormtroopers with him, (she like to call them that) and tired to take the change from her friend. Leia tried to control herself , she was going to tell her friend she should tell the teacher or stand up to him. Something other than getting pushed around by him.
Then Jorol starting making fun of Leia. Something inside her just snapped. She quickly swang her foot and with incredible force kicked Jorol in the knees and sent him flying across the cafeteria. Everyone was speechless and Leia lost in her rage started to make her way toward the bully, luckly a teacher intervined before more damage could be done.
It didn't fair well for Leia who intiated the fight. She had gotten a two day suspension for attacking another Jorol had recived his punishment for his part, and he had to live with what Leia did to him.
"Leia your father and I disappointed in you," Leia down casted her eyes. "We will have to tell your mother about this too." The princess frowned at this, she never liked doing it.
"Leia," Bail started. "I understand your anger but you know it is never okay to answer with voilence." Leia held her head down. She was taught from an early age that her words were more effective then her fists.
"The school is going to suspend you for two days and the both of you are going to need to apologize to each other." Leia softly nodded. As much as she couldn't stand him she knew she was wrong, and she to make it right.
"Now for the next two weeks you are grounded and the next two days you are going to stay with Obi-Wan. I am sure he will have more then enough for you to learn during the days you are missing school." Bail gave her a stern look. Leia frowned looking at the floor. She never liked getting that look from her dad.
"Ok, I am sorry." Leia said with all the grace she could muster.
"I know you are and you are going to have to tell your mother what you did." Bail said with a note of finality. "Dinner will be served soon and after that you are going strait to bed." Bail said he hates being hard on Leia but it is a lesson that she needed to learn.
Leia nodded her head and followed her parents to dining room. Leia was dreading her lessons with Obi-Wan. She was also a little afraid of what he was going to say to her.
The little force user carried her worry until the next as she made her way up to the mountian cottage. Galen had moved to another side of the mountian with his new master. Her mother keeps an eye on him but he is in Jedi training. She misses her friend but she knows that there needs be more Jedi in the galaxy.
Her thoughts were interupted when Threepio landed the speeder outside the cottage. Obi-Wan stood outside watching the droid park the speeder. He felt Leia's nervousness as she made her way out of the speeder.
The older Jedi knew about what happened at school. Bail had briefed him about what happened. It did worry him, with that temper on her. Her father's temper and the power behind that could be unfogivable. But he also knew that Leia need a a friend right now.
He saw Leia reluctenly got out of the speeder and made her way toward him. She held a frown, a frown that he had scene on Padwan's face. "Leia," she looked at the old Jedi. She stated feeling at ease as felt Obi-Wan 's presence calms her. "I know what happened at school," she held her head in sham. "I am not happy about the situation, but I won't crucify you for what has already happened.," Obi-Wan's wrinkles creased as the smile warmed to his eyes.
It warmed the younger force user for the first since this happened. The pair had a nice two days. He wasn't as hard on her she anticipated. She felt him being patient and understand when he made her tell him what happened. She felt his worry, his disappointment. But she felt his compassion and understanding too.
Obi-wan told her stories too. He told her about his adventure's as a Jedi about the temple and many different things. It went better then she originally thought.
After the two days, she want back to school better mood then she thought. She had gotten a few stares, and looks but it didn't bother her too much. She saw Jorol Corliss at his desk, Leia took a breath and made her way to the bully. He looked and said "What do you want?" Leia feeling his fear as she approached him.
"I want to say I am sorry and it was wrong for me to kick you." She said. She did mean it, but she felt that he wasn't genuine person.
"I'm sorry too" he replayed gruffly. Leia was going to say something but she held her words. She gave him one last look and made her way to her seat. The rest of the day was uneventful. They both ignored each other, and it seems Jorol stopped going around stealing his classmate's change.
The Alderaarean princess had made her way home and went strait to her room knowing her punishment. It was after dinner, so went to her room, changed into her night wear and started meditating. It was something she come to enjoy. The young force user started feeling the calm wash over her. She was being pulled deep into the force.
The young force user suddenly felt herself not in her room, but a familiar place. It was beach she remembered from when she was little.
Leia smiled as she gazed at the crystal blue water of the Naboo. She started to run to where the water crested on the shore line. She was feeling happy for the first time that week. The princess was about to put her feet until she felt a presence next to her. It felt familare safe, but slightly dark.
"Where am I?" The princess turned around at the slightly frightened boy. It was a boy who looks about her age. Leia knew she had scene him before, she just can't remember who he was.
"You're on Naboo. By the lake." Leia said taking in his appearance. He was wearing all black, she thinks it's nightware, pale completion, dark shaggy blonde hair, and these amazing blue eyes.
"Whats Naboo?" Asked the boy.
It confused Leia because of how much she knew about her mother's home planet. Her father and mother had vast knowledge of Naboo too. Even her Imperial history touched on how important the planet is.
"Its only the prettiest place in the galaxy," the Nubian girl took the boy's hand showed him expanse of the sky. He looked around astonished by the vast expase of the sky and terrain.
"Wow its soo petty here," The boy's eyes widen as he said it. "My daddy needs to see this," He let go of her hand to touch the water underneath him. "Is that a pool?" he looked at the water at the shoreline.
"No that the lake, it bigger then the pool. They have lots of these on Naboo and markets and fun things." Leia said looking at the boy next to her. She can feel her friend conflicted about the going into the water.
"If you don't wanna go swimming, you just put feet in," Leia took her slippers off and tossed them on the sand. She bunched her pale pink night gown and made her her way into the water.
The boy followed taking his slippers off and pulling up his pant legs and stepped into the water. The uncertainty melted away as he let himself feel the environment around him. He was interrupted by a splash. It startled him but he quickly recovered and splashed her back. He dropped his pant legs and proceeded to splash her back.
Leia smiled and laughed as they got each other wet. The continue like this for a while until they both got tired they made back to shore and sat on the sand. The princess noticed the boy was examining the sand on hand.
"What's this stuff?" He said as he pointed to the sand on fingers. He looked annoyed as he was rubbing it against his fingers.
"It's sand, it's tiny and it usually by a big body of water. Or it's in a dessert. There's lots of sand in the dessert."
"I don't like it." He said with huff. "It feels weird and its everywhere on me,"
Leia laughed as the boy was trying to get it off him.
"Hey it's not funny." Luke huffed back.
"I'm not laughing at you. It just something my mom told me about one her friends said he didn't like sand either." The boy smiled as she felt the took tue rays of the sun in. She knows she was because she young when was here last.
She lived here and remembered the lake, her cousins, the lake house…
Suddenly she remembered her him. The boy. She had done this with the force before. They fought and they played for what seemed like hours.
"I know you!" The princess nearly shouted. "You're the space pilot!" Leia said excitedly.
"Wait, I remember too you're the princess!" he smiled and gave her a hug.
"You used the force again." The boy said happily.
"Yes I did. I thought of one of my favorite places to be my mom is from here." Leia said. She noticed as she said it, the space pilot's face started to faulter.
"What's wrong?" Leia asked. Worried that she said something wrong.
"It's nothing," He downcast his eyes and looked up again. "What's it like to have a mommy?" He asked with curiosity evident in his eyes.
"Well, I have two mommies but I know who my real mommy is." The boy looked a weird way she wasn't used to but she has scene it in mother before. It looked almost the same. "They are nice loving, but they can be strict," The princess went on about here mother and the stories she told her.
"What is your mom like?" She finally asked after her long description about her mother.
His eyes became sad. "I don't have a mommy." He said sadly. "I don't know why she left but she did." The little space pilot finished sadly.
"I'm sorry," she replied sadly. "Maybe we can share my mommy. She always wanted boys too." The space pilot was about answer, suddenly Leia was in her room on Alderaan again.
Leia got up from her spot and quickly made her way to her bed. She ducked under the covers and pretend to be asleep as her father came to say goodnight.
When he left, Leia had gone up to her window and looked at the clear night sky thinking about her friend the space pilot.
Someday maybe she will find him…
