A/N: This story ignores the events of The Last Battle.

Beautiful Queen Susan had many suitors. Queen Lucy, for all her many charms, had none.

After all, Queen Susan's suitors only had to contend with High King Peter.

Lucy's potential suitors had to contend with High King Peter, High Queen Susan, and King Edmund. Lucy, they were determined, would never have to put up with lovesick fools for the sake of diplomacy they way Susan did. No one would get close to her unless they were good enough for their little sister.

And, plainly, none of these . . . gentlemen . . . were good enough.

Back in their own world, they all played their roles. Peter protected them from other children's taunts. Lucy gave them hope. Edmund kept them steady. Susan distracted her parents from her siblings' newly developed quirks by giving them more ordinary problems to chew on. A daughter too young to be wearing lipstick they could handle; Peter's nightmares, Edmund's struggles to forgive himself, and Lucy's inability to stop trying to talk to animals, they could not.

But when a boy asked Lucy to the cinema, all other roles took a backseat to this more important one.

Peter might not be able to order someone beheaded in England, but he was still more than capable of performing the action himself, a fact Edmund and Susan had no trouble convincing the boy of.

He took Lucy out anyway, impressing them all. He even asked her out on a second date.

He was, however, very well behaved.

Peter attributed it to the fact he'd managed to sneak his sword into the cinema.

Edmund told him not to be ridiculous. Susan, after all, had been the one to snag the seat directly behind the boy, and she didn't need a sword to be a credible threat.

Lucy thought she should probably object, but if it brought her family together, who was she to complain?

Merlin thought this girl's family was crazy, but he liked crazy. He like it a lot.

A/N: I have a bad habit of making Merlin crossovers where Merlin ends up dating someone. This is a problem.

It's a fun problem, though, so I'll probably keep doing it.
