Niles and Leon's relationship started with a mutual agreement of sorts. An admittance of loneliness, sexuality, and a first kiss was the start of a relationship neither of them expected to last very long. Leon could easily say he had no idea what the hell he was doing, trying to date Niles of all people. The older boy was more experienced and sexual than he was, Leon couldn't imagine doing half of the things he mentioned.

That was, in part, due to the fact that Leon was trans and paranoid. Even if he particularly wanted to go further than making out, he wasn't comfortable with wearing less than he usually did, for fear of being found out. By the time he'd been dating Niles for a month or so, he realized that the other seemed a little uncomfortable, which was odd considering it was Niles. One night, when they were watching a movie, Leon leaned over to rest his head on Niles's shoulder, as per usual, but was met with tensing and a slight push away.

"Niles?" He questioned, pausing the movie.

"I'm not a very good boyfriend for you." He stated, eyes still fixed on the screen. Leon was quiet, but nodded.

"I suppose you're right." The blond boy crossed his arms and legs.

"It's not like it's anything personal. We're just not a good match. We both know I'm a pretty sexual guy, and you just don't seem to be looking for that right now." He reassured him, but Leon stifled a laugh.

"You don't have to justify yourself. I'm a prude, and we both know it." Niles looked amused.

"Oh? Then why do you read so much-"

"Shut up." He flushed, looking away from him. He left his phone unlocked one time!

"What a weird guy." Niles chuckled. Leon glared at him, arms crossed over his chest.

"No, I just don't see the point in actually performing such indecent acts." Niles gave him a suggestive look.

"Are you sure about that? You were practically drooling when I told you about BDS-" His face was enveloped in a pillow.

"I thought I told you to shut up." Leon's face was bright red as he unpaused the movie.

Niles and Leon's relationship ended with a mutual agreement of sorts. A few words spoken, acknowledged, and agreed upon solidified the resumption of their friendship. Though Leon was rather glad for it, he couldn't bring himself to be around Niles for quite some time after the breakup without feeling awkward. This didn't help him at all through his sophomore year, and he felt he lost all of his friends. Half of it was his own fault, but the longer he spent alone, the longer he wondered why Soapy was avoiding him, and the more he lost the will to continue on with everything. He wished he'd never tried to date Niles in the first place. Perhaps that would've saved him from losing contact with his two friends from middle school. What's done was done, however, and he couldn't do anything more about it. Still, he couldn't deny that he sort of wished he just wouldn't wake up one day.
