It's a beautiful morning on August 18th, also know as Perceus Jackson's 11th birthday, while he was sitting at the dinning-table eatting his blue pancake when suddenly, an owl flew in the appartment and landed on the table. Like instinct, Percy jumped out of his chair and landed on the floor with a suprised expression on his face while his mother, Sally Jackson turned right back to looked at the bird but not suprised as Percy. Seeing his mother expression, Percy asked.

"What is it? Why there is an owl in our kitchen? "

"Oh Percy, this day has finally come." Sally said for the first time. Percy asked his mom with a confused expression on his face.

"What do you mean, mom? And what with 'this-day-has-finally-come'?"

"Honey, you should read this" Sally handed Percy the envelope. And Percy examined it. As he turned to the back of the envelope, he saw a sign, there was a lion, an eagle, a badger, a snake. And on top of them there is a big H. Percy opened it and took the letter out while looked at his mother. And there was a little twinkle in his mother eyes said 'read-it'.

And so Percy did. Althought with his dyslexia, the letter was perfectly fine to read. 'Weird' he thought.

Dear Mr. Jackson

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcarft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipments.

Term begin on 1 September. We await your owl by no latter than 31 July.

Percy eyes wided open when he reads these lines because of suprised. After that, he looked right at his mom's face and give out an awkward smile. Finally, he spoke :

"This is a joke, right? You know, for my birthday"

"Perceus 'Percy' Jackson, this is no joke." His mother said almost with an angry expression.

"Ok, ok, so what does this mean?" Percy asked.

"You're a wizard Percy." Sally said and after that, Percy felt overwhelming. Sally continue

"And i'm a witch. And according to the letter, we only have 2 weeks to get you ready for school. I'm gonna write a letter to the headmaster to inform him that you will attend to Hogwarts. And then we will get you to Diagon Alley so we can get your school supply..."

"Wait, what-what are you talking about?" Percy asked with a confusing face

"Well, you already read the letter, it said Hogwarts won't accept no letter later than 31 of July, but it's already 18 of August so we have to inform ..." by this point, Percy cutted in.

"No, i mean i can't be a wizard. How can i be a wizard? Are thay suppose to have wands and brooms and... green skin. Right?"

"Uhm, you will. But not the green skin of course." Sally answered " Hogwarts, is a school where i used to go when i was a student. Your name already in the enroll list since the day you were born."

Just like that, the next hour was just Sally explained about the time when she was a student at Hogwarts, about how she graduated, about 'who-must-not-be-named', about Lily and James Potter, her best friends, about the prophecy child which is Harry Potter, son of Lily and James and why Dumbledore wants his mom to relocated in the US. At this point, Percy spoke.

"So, what you trying to say that there was a evil dark wizard who wants to took over the wizarding world and want to 'purify' ( Percy making an air quote ) it by killing all the half-blood and muggles born. And that was where the prophecy came in and said that there will be a baby born on the last day of July can destroy him and that boy is Harry. But before Voldy can kill him, he was 'killed'( another air quote) by his spell that back-fired him... am i right?"

"You are correct." Sally answer

"One question thought. Why did you never came back?"

"Your father" was the oly thing Sally said.

"Ok, fair enought. So, what about now?" Percy asked his mother

"Now, i'm gonna send this letter to Dumbledore then clean this place up and we are going to Diagon Alley." Sally answered.

"Oh, what about Harry? Will he study at Hogwarts this year?" Percy asked again.

"Harry? Uhm, he is a year younger than you... so no, but he will next year." His mom told him as she took out her wand and mumbled something and then all the dirty dishes flew in the sink and cleaned them self. And Percy just stood there in odd.

"This is a wand, it help witches and wizards channeling their power and every single witches and wizards have one". Sally explained

"So is that mean i'm gonna have one too?" Percy asked.

"Yes, now go pack your stuffs, and we will leave right after i send this letter."

As cue, the 11 years old Percy ran into his room and pack. He threw some clothes in his packback in minitues.

"Ah mom, how are we gonna get to ..." Percy stopped right when his mom jumped in " Diagon Alley? We gonna use Portkey". And just like that Sally walked out of the emergency exit to went up to the roof top. But Percy kept asking her while he went up with his mother:

"What is a portkey?"

"Oh, it's could be annything. But that is not what you mean right?" Percy nodded. "Well, it's a thing get jinx so it can get you to a specific place." As Sally explained to Percy she pointed at an old broom and said " that, will get us to Diagon Alley ".

"A broom! Really mom" Percy said with a little ironic in his voice.

"Yes Percy, a broom. Now let's go" Sally said as she took the broom and told Percy to grapped as well.

After a few seconds, both mother and son landed in front of a little place... what Percy can't figured on the hanging sign and turned to his mother with a confusing expression

"The Leaky Cauldron." His mother said.

"So where are we?" Percy asked

"London, England." Sally answerd

"What, oh my gods, we are in London" Percy said with a amazement expression on his face and his mouth wided open and continued " you saying we've traveled halfway across the world by a old broom, this is unbelievable." And Percy kept asking " So whrer is Diagon Alley? I'm guessing it's not 'near' here, right?"

"Actually, it's right in front of you, you see the Leaky Cauldron is like a gate. So let's go"

Right after walked into the place, Percy relized that this is pub and the fact that his mother Sally received some curious look. Even the pub's owner or the bartender as Percy presume spoke

"Sally ? It's been too long." The bartender said, only received a nod and a soft smile from Sally. He continued "So, what bring you here, again?"

Sally pointed at Percy and said " my son Percy, this is his first year at Hogwarts so i'm taking him to Diagon Alley to get some school supplies."

The bartendert looked at Percy and said: " then go on, good luck Percy and bye Sally"

"Good bye Tom." 'Finally, his name' Percy thought as the mother and son walked to the wooden door and opened it, all Percy could is a big rock wall. And before Percy could asked anything more, Sally took out her wand and tapped on the rock wall. Right away, the wall moved and reveal the one and only, Diagon Alley.

"Percy, welcome to Diagon Alley" Sally said and Percy just stood there looked at the alley.

"ok, let's go. We have stuffs to buy but first, we need to get to Gringotts to get some money" as Sally walked into a big building. And after a few minutes Percy stood waited in the main hall for his mother, Sally finally came back with a little bag. They walked out of the bank and their first destination was Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions to buy Percy his robes. After a while of wating in line and measured by the house elf. Percy and his mom walked out of the store when Miss Malkin said will send all of the robes to their room in the Leaky Cauldron. A few minutes when got out of the Robes store, his mom gave him a little money and told Percy how the money work in the wizarding work and told him to went to get his wand. Then, Percy just wandered around looking for Ollivander's Wand Shop. Few minutes later, Percy walked in a old shop, about to say something but then an old man walked out and asked

"First wand eh?" Percy just nodded as Ollivander grabbed his hand and examined for a few minutes. Then he went out to the back, took out an old box covered with dust and said

"Walnut, 12 inches, unicorn hair". Percy took the wand out and asked " Unicorn hair?"

"Yes, unicorn hair, its core." Ollivander answered and Percy just stared at the wand.

"well, what do you waiting for, give it a wave" Ollivander suggested

Right away, Percy waved it and then the boxes at the top shelves flew all over the place. And just like that, Ollivander walked out to the back to took some more boxes. Wands after wands but it's seem no use to Percy, and if his calculation was right, it has been half a dozen of them until Ollivander mumbled something like ' can it be? I wonder... ' then went to the deepest part of the store to took out a black box before handed it to Percy. And it seem to Ollivander, after Percy took the wand out, both Percy and the wand naturally got drawn to each other. As Percy stared at the most beautiful wand he ever saw, the purest black wand like his hair and and the dark blue handle almost like the deep sea that Percy love. And right after Percy picked the wand up, there was like an energy rushed throught his body and Percy felt great. And Ollivander finally spoke up :

" Blackthorn, 12 inches, flexible, and what shock me is the core, very rare, very magical, Dragon Heartstring and Phoenix feather combined, one of its kind. But not as powerful as the Elder wand" the last part he was mumbled but before Percy could questioning anything more out of the shop's owner, he said: " that would be 10 galleons please." Percy give him the golden coins and walked out of the shop and saw his mother waited for him. Sally walked to him and said

" So, do you get your wand? " Percy raised his wand up and nodded. "Good, we only have one thing left to buy now, your present Percy, your very own owl." and they both headed to Eyelops Owl Emporium to find Percy his own. Then the strangest thing happened when the young Percy Jackson walked into the shop, all of the owls suddenly went mental clapped their wings and jumped up and down. At this point, Percy said

" uhm, mom, i don't think the owls like me very much"

"Nonsence, there must at least 1 like you." Sally answered. And after a few minutes walking around the store looking for an owl, Percy finally managed to find one that did'n try to ripped his hair out. It was a snowy owl, his fur is white as snow mean while his eyes were blue as he sky and Percy loved him from the first time he laid eyes on the certain owl.

"Good choice, it's a beautiful one" his mother said, turned to the owner and asked how much did the owl cost and give him a few galleons. Then Sally and Percy walked out of the shop, his mother said " Happy birthday Percy."
