Robert was at church for the very first time; he had just moved to the neighborhood and had no one to hang out with. His parents cared less of what went on in his life and preferred if he was out of the house and he had no siblings to hang out with. So as you might expect he was bored that Sunday, saw the tall and very traditional looking church and decided to go in. On the inside it was kinda creepy in Robert's opinion, there was a stain glass window a bow the pulpit with some Hebrew on it holding a lamb. Everyone seemed really nice they talked to him like he's been there forever even though he's had next to no Christian experience, the only time he could remember when some pastor came to the school (uninvited) and started yelling at the kids saying they would all go to hell. After a while the sermon started and everyone sat down he sat in the pew and listened to the pastor. A short man with graying hair. He had a goatee, a black button down shirt, and jeans. Not the type of person Robert expected, he expected an ancient guy in a suit with a bible half his size. Suffice it to say Roberts stereotypes have been smashed, broken and n all ways destroyed.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son; that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 . "Now everyone knows that verse, most of you have memorized it at a very young age; But now I'm going to go into context. "God's love is Unfailable, unconditional, and never cease to exist. No wrong you can do can make Him not love you; Even if your an unbeliever... Jesus loves us all; so much that He would die. But as most of you know He didn't stay that way; after three days He rose again."
Jesus. Robert thought as shivers ran down his spine; not bad scared shivers like when the other "pastor" talked; no, wonderful, loving shivers that made him want to learn more. Most of the sermon he didn't get since he was still thinking about Jesus so after the sermon ended he walked up to the pastor. "Excuse me sir, will you teach me more about this Jesus?"
"I'd be delighted son. I'd be delighted."
