You don't remember being in this place, or at least that's what you last recalled. There were no titans, last you recalled, but here... there was.

The smell of blood and sweat ran up to your nose as you walked around, clad in your old solider uniform. The street, that you walked on, had blood, coating it.

You had sweat beating down your face. Your head pounded in fear. You knew who you were looking for. You knew why you were looking. Your heart ached in fear.

You shook your head and continued with your search. You had to find him, before the titans got to him. He couldn't die.

He wouldn't die.

Not if you could stop it. You didn't want him gone. Not again, at least. You two had already suffered enough heartache. You were going to stop this. You were going to stop the heartache that always came with this.

You had to stop this.

You were still searching when you were pulled by another solider. "We need to go back, they just called retreat. We have to get going, what're you doing?!" But you didn't hear it, you simply starred blankly at the other solider, he almost gave up, but he starting pulling you away.

You couldn't fight back, you let yourself be pulled along. Even if you wanted to find him, but you still gave up fighting. You couldn't do anything about it, so what was the point in trying?

Oh right, because you loved the freckled bastard, even if he was an ass sometimes. You couldn't help, but love that stupid smile on his face, that was always there, even he was hurting inside. He was an idiot, but you were too.

Hours passed, and you were looking throughout the streets, helping find the damages on soliders. You saw another casuality in the street, propped up on the side of a building.

You ran over to the corpse and you knew instantly, who's corpse it was. The corpse belonged to him. Your bestfriend. Your lover.

And you couldn't stop it.

You awoke from the dream, lying beside him, inside your bed, away from the past. You cuddled into Marco, he awoke slightly, wrapping his arms around your body. He kissed the top of your head, and quietly said, "Go back to sleep, Jean. It's alright. The past is in the past and we are in the present, I'm alright. You're alright. We're safe, there are no titans. Everything is safe. I'm not going anywhere. You're not going anywhere. Now, let's go back to sleep." Marco kissed your lips softly and you cuddled closer into his chest.

And right before you feel asleep, you heard a small, "I'll always love you, Jean. Even if you don't believe it sometimes, I always do and always will." You feel asleep with a smile across your lips.

Author's Note:

If you are wondering about the ending... The story was based on the Reincarnation AU. And I'm sorry if it was kind of bad, I've actually never really written anything before, except for like E.L.A. class. So yeah, sorry again, if like Jean or Marco are too OOC, but I don't know, I tried.
