Naruto made his way down the hall, after having avoiding his apparent abusive older sister he decided that he would go out once again.
It wasn't as if he had any obligations to actually listen or do what Menma said, as fun as it was kicking Sasuke's face in(And making his childhood self proud) Naruto had a scary thought...
'What if I'm not supposed to be goofing off right now? What if the longer I wait, the slimmer my chances of leaving are?... If that's the case... I should be using every moment to find my way back, right...?'
Naruto loved all his family and friends, which is actually why this was quite unsettling, but... Naruto felt like a tiny part of him didn't want to go home. A part of him loved this new life.
The tiny part of him loved everything that he was doing, being treated like someone important, having people aknowledge him- even be scared of him- He always felt terribly guilty, but at the same time there was very very small part of him that...
Liked the feeling of the fear coming from those who opposed him-
"AGH! What the heck is wrong with me?!" Naruto shook 'her' head feverously in an attempt to shed the memories. A well of panic started to form within the blonde's head."W-What the hell was that?" Naruto muttered nervously, peering nervously as if someone else could hear his thoughts.
"I've already been down this road..." Vivid flash backs of a red headed, half demonic black eye line wearing homocidal child. "Not a good one." It was only at that moment that Naruto felt something deep within him that seem to latch on to that memory, of Gaara...
Suddenly, Naruto felt his cold rage for the world subside. Instead, fear for the future?
"It'll be alright Naruto, just be nice, and people will accept you for who you are."
Naruto realized though, he was in a small internal conumdrum still. Did he really want to leave, or stay? Maybe he actually could return here, but it wouldn't be the same. He'd be an absolute stranger to anyone he met. He didn't see much of a reason to stay thus far, and he had work to get back to-
"-Ow!" Naruto was cut from his line of thought as he run into someone while making a swift corner, it was a stain on his ninja career- to be walking so off guard that he'd run into a civillian... He felt a deep sense of shame, but shook it off as he quickly stood up, trying to make it look like nothing happened. Whoever he bumped into seemed unmoved by the sudden collison, gracefully so. Whoever was in front of him wore a beautiful lily decorated kimono with gold lined flowers, and outer frame of the dress was also lined with gold. Much like his other sister- she looked just like him, only...
Naruto couldn't put it into the words that he wanted to, many thoughts came across his mind.
'Amazing...'
'Gorgeous...'
'An Angel...' That fit with his description. He was keenly aware though, that it seemed as if both his and Naru's opinions had suddenly merged. It was unsettling to say the least.
The woman had beautiful, long curly golden hair with twin large curls on eather side of her head which were contained with gold rings lined with an assortement of jems- bright glowing eyes of a deep azure, that was brought out by the dress. Her skin was a little bit paler than fair, she bore a crown lined with sapphires, rubies, and even a couple diamonds. Her lips were turned upward into a delicate smile as her beautiful bright eyes landed on Naruto. Naruto felt like those mirror like eyes were piercing through his soul- and oddly, he realized that his eyes were too strikingly identical. They burned with a endless amount of kindness and compassion, Naruto instantly felt at ease with her, too much at ease. It was odd how much power over him that this new mirror like girl had over him.
'Onee-chan!' Naruto narrowed his eyes as he heard this voice within his head- it was still mind boggling to see such a person, it was like a dream, to see such a person that wasn't a shadow clone- and clearly led her own life, had her own aura- mind, and personality. To say Naruto was spooked, was an understatement. It was even spookier that she could have so much control over his comfort.
His apparent sister leaned down, closing her eyes kindly and speaking in a soft melodic voice that soothed any fears Naruto seemed to have- about anything. She opened her eyes ever so slightly, and he realized she- like him, reminded him of a fox. Those bright sky esque mirror eyes shimmered with an unknown emotion."Are you alright, Naru? I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention." She lent him a hand, extending it outward- only to realize that he was back up on his feet in an instant. "Oh, my goodness. You're lively today, and quite fast." She seemed to note softly, reaching forward and giving Naruto a rub on the head.
Naruto's shoulders sagged in delight as those scratches hit just the right spot, two right spots to be exact, parrellel to each other on the top of his head. "Mmm..." Naruto hmm'd, giving a content smile- Abruptly, he took a step back- his eyes widening- to the alarm of his 'sister'.
"...Naru? What's the matter? Is everything okay?" His 'sister's' eyes readjusted, a far more intense gaze rested on the Prophecy Child, but he wasn't sure if it was aimed at him. "...Is Chasu bullying you again?" Naruto took a moment to give his sister a confused look, which in turn she gave her own.
Naruto's eyes widened in realization. "OH! No I-" He paused, well technically it was true- she did. He didn't know what to say, though. He felt fear from deeper in him at the question for some unknown reason, which must have shown on his face. He searched for a lie to give, when suddenly he noticed that her eyes were resting upon his outfit, and he realized he was still clad in his training gi. It was a perfect distraction.
"N-Nah, I'm just tired from sparring." He waved his apparent sister off. She didn't seem to really buy it, if her continued worried stare was anything to go by. She seemed to gaze at him for a moment- a size up, Naruto would say- though with this delicate looking girl he wasn't sure if that was the word. She gave a hum of wonder- and without warning- Naruto found himself off of his feet- He hadn't even had a change to struggle before he was being held by his older sister. "H-Hey! What's the big idea?" He groused, unused to being manhandled so efficiently. The other girl, his sister(Who's name he still hadn't gotten yet) looked at him with confusion.
Naruto Shippuden OST - Kodoku (Loneliness
"What's the matter, Naru? You usually love it when I hold you..." I ask with worry, had Chasu done something to poor little Naru that was unusual? Even if Naruto was distant sometimes(which was already VERY unhealthy given her very young age) she's never been scared- not like this. I've spent arguably the most time with Naruto, even Father has spent less time with her- and I've never seen this behavior that she's exhibiting.
She's wearing a Gi, something that she swore up and down many times before was "uncouth", and even "gross"- once even "beneath her", she swore she'd never be caught dead in one- as she much preferred her magic, and would use it from everything from heating her food up to simple cleaning. But as it was, ever since last night when she went to sleep sick- she had been hearing about different behavior from the child. Among the elite of the castle, Naruto's accomplishment in getting passed the Killing Intent of the entire Elite Squad of her Father's Council was now being spread- even I'd been able to hear about it, though I'd heard about it directly from father.
All of that however was beside the point, I could feel my sisterly concern welling up deep within my chest- especially as it seemed Naruto didn't like to be hugged by her favorite older sibling now, usually she would be happy and cling to her- but now she just seemed annoyed.
Naruto's changed overnight, and I'm not sure it's for the best- the look in her eyes when I look at her no longer reminded me of my little sister that needed guidance and needed to be shown the way. No, instead I see someone who's deeply hurt on the inside beyond anything that words can ever describe- who paints a smile on their face.
================================
"Err... sorry! I'm just.. sore. You know, I was sparring- hehe." Naruto gave a sheepish grin. Moyashi was not moved, but her sad expression as she looked forlornly at Naruto told of another story- Naruto could feel his heart clench in discomfort seeing that expression. Something was different about the beautiful mirror esque look alike from a moment ago when she had spoken. She looked onto Naruto with such sadness- he could feel it on a much deeper level than the surface- she was deeply connected with her little sister- a sister that was no longer here, and there was no guarantee that once he left, things would go back to normal.
"...Is this the end? What I saw in my dreams? I held you, exactly like this... and you never came back..." Eh?
"Eh?" Naruto looked onto Moyashi with a confused smile for a moment, it was then that he noticed something disheartening.
Moyashi had a sad smile on her face, tears steaming down her cheeks as she gently placed Naruto down- and Naruto instantly hated that smile, he wanted nothing more than to make it go away- and make the wonderful girl who he had run into around the corner who squeezed him back. "You're... different, I can tell. Hehe, you know Big Sis always has a seventh sense..."
She sniffles through her words. "I'm not sure what it is, but... I know nothing will be the same with us, anymore." She squeezed him once more, her arms wrapped around Naruto's little body.
"..." Naruto wrapped his arms around her too, his expression hidden underneath his mop of hair. "...I can't say... they will be the same. I'm... I got things to do, ya know? I made a promise to a lot of people, and it's what I've always wanted." He spoke lowly. And yet those words sounded empty, when right here was his SISTER, his own flesh and blood. When he left back to his home, he would never see her again- and there was no guarantee either of them would see Naru return home safely.
"You're only ten, Naru. What could you possibly have to do?" She whispered softly to him, not willing to left him go.
"...Be the Hokageā¦" He found himself speaking against his will- confusion was deeply rooted in him. His eyes widened- his pupils shrinking as he looked into Moyashi's eyes- memories not of his own rearing their head. He clutched at his head is agony, letting out a low groan- this was worse than receiving the memories of a horde of Shadow Clones! He had to go, before he said something that he would regret and blow his cover- and so he did the only thing he could think of at the moment.
Run.
"NARU! DON'T GO! You CAN'T go!" The girl- no, Moyashi- held her hand out with panic and fear as the girl ran off- and she feared this might be the last time she had ever saw her sister again- but she didn't run after her, she could only wander around the building, she couldn't leave anywhere!
So what was this foreboding feeling screaming for every muscle in her body to chase her sister into the dark?
Chasu had hell to pay for whatever she'd done to Naruto, and Moyashi would make sure of it.
