R: Been massively bored so needed to do a little something to get my brain going. So mindless fluff it is. (This may or may not turn into a series of shorts.) Enjoy~

Bobby narrowed his eyes at his partner. He shouldn't be surprised that he would do something like this, but sometimes he thought Reno just did this stuff to get on his nerves.

"Why did you bring those here?" Bobby demanded, standing from his desk and pointing at the big cardboard box in Reno's arms.

"I found them," Reno stated matter-of-factly, looking down at the box's contents. A furry kitten paw reached up and swatted at his hair.

Bobby huffed. "Well, take them back."

"What? No way," Reno said. "Somebody dumped them."

"Well, I don't want them here," Bobby said.

"They're just kittens, Bobby!" Reno protested. "We can't just throw them out on the streets."

"Alley cats have to start somewhere," he replied pointedly.

"Oh, come on!" Reno said, stepping over to set the box on Bobby's desk. "Look at them. You couldn't do that to them, I know you."

Bobby looked down reluctantly at the mewling kits. There were six; two little tortoiseshells and four red tabbies in varying shades. One of the torties and two of the gingers were particularly fluffy with long fur. Bobby frowned doubtfully as green and yellow eyes blinked up at him, so Reno scooped up one of the tabbies and held it out to him.

"Hold it," Reno insisted. "If you can hold this kitten and still say you won't let it stay until we can find it a home, I'll take them back where I found them."

Bobby rolled his eyes. "No you won't," he said, taking the kitten. It reached up and batted at his earrings, and his partner just smirked. Bobby groaned. "Damn it, Reno."

Reno's smirk widened. "I knew it. You keep an eye on them, I'm going to go get some supplies to take care of them."

"Do you even know what kittens need?" Bobby asked.

"We've taken care of a baby," Reno said, "how hard can kittens be?"
