I do not own Gilmore Girls, nor do I own the song Couldn't last a moment. All I own is the plot. I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1:

Logan leaned back in his chair. He sighed as he looked out the windows that surrounded him. The Los Angeles skyline was a nice sight to see, especially 40 floors up, but something was still missing. He had been in L.A. for several years now, and though Honor and Josh visited him often he wasn't fully satisfied staying here.

"Logan, ready?" Honors voice spoke.

He spun around in his chair and looked at his computer for the last time, "Yes. "

He stood up and grabbed his coat off of the chair. He walked out into the open room with Honor and nodded as they walked to the elevator. He missed the East Coast. It took him a few years but he finally convinced his father to let him come back to Connecticut and he would run one of the offices in New York.

He didn't mind L.A., he definitely enjoyed himself there. But something wasn't fulfilling him completely. He knew what he really wanted, and he hated himself for what he said years ago. He thought he needed it that way. He had his heart broken, he didn't think he could continue long distance though. He was ready, she was not. He understood, but he still tried to push it. He didn't care if it waited years, he just wanted to be fully committed with her. After all, she was going on the campaign trail.

Thought I could quit you
But, I still miss your love
What was I thinking

Thinking I could still walk down the street
Without you by my side
Or make it through one night
Alone I lied

He boarded the plane with Honor and found his seat. As it got closer to them landing in Hartford he started to feel his nerves. He knew she wouldn't be around, or at least he figured she wouldn't be, but he still couldn't help to hope. He collected his laptop and things he had pulled out on the flight and put them all up. As the plane landed he held his breath, ready to feel home again, and maybe whole.

Once they were ready to get off the plane he looked around then followed the hallway to the gate to enter the airport. He followed Honor to the baggage claim area, glad he shipped most of his items to his parents' house. Before he could look around the area he was bombarded. Honor must have told them, he said in his head as Finn and Collin both attacked him. Either they were really excited to see him or they haven't grown. Logan grew a lot in the years gone. He figured out what he wanted, he realized the mistakes he made, and he realized what his life was for.

"Logan!" both said at the same time.

"Want to go eat?" Collin spoke.

"How about a drink?" Finn responded.

Logan chucked and looked at Honor, she nodded at him as she grabbed the luggage. "A drink sounds good."

They grinned as they grabbed his bags from Honor.

"Logan?" She spoke softly.

"Yes?"

She handed him a set of keys, " There is a RCF outside for you."

He grinned as he grabbed the keys, "Thanks Honor, really. Thank you." He smiled as he headed outside the airport with Collin and Finn. They scanned the parking lot for the car, once spotted in the bright orange color that he wouldn't pick himself he laughed lightly. He knew Honor couldn't go with something normal. He unlocked the car and they all climbed in, heading off to their favorite place from their years at Yale.

I thought it was over, I thought I could move on
But I was wrong
I woke up last night calling your name
And feeling the blame, baby
