He never thought in his life that he, Rusty Beck, would find himself in this very situation.

Being a hustler for years doesn't help you on how to cope with this, and he knew it. He also made it very clear in the beginning: he didn't have a clue on how to date anybody. And that was true; what he did for surviving, not even living, was totally different. He was still having questions with himself at night, alone in his room looking at the darkness surrounding him that this wasn't meant for him. Something inside kept on screaming that he didn't deserved all of this.

Because, come on, looking back in his life he didn't have something to be happy for.

Starting with that damn Zoo.

And his mother, Sharon Beck: the perfect example of what a mother should never be. What the woman did to him was kind of atrocious, but in the end he loved her.

Capitan Raydor was a better mother figure for Rusty that she ever was. Sometimes he still didn't understand why she was so caring with him: considering how bad he behaved with her in the beginning of their relationship, he was still surprised how she didn't throw him out of her flat. Because we all know that Sharon was capable of that.

She was very caring with everybody and extremely funny when she wanted. Rusty felt blessed to have her in her life.

The team was his adopted family: when he came out to them, the fear of rejection was blown away by their reaction. All of them were ok and dismissed him like it wasn't even a matter.

Because it totally wasn't.

A hand in his hairs made him wake up from his trail of thoughts. Candles were lighting the small apartment's leaving room, Casablanca was playing in the background on the big TV screen. He shook his head smiling softly: Sharon had to totally update her movie collection.

He then looked up from the shoulder he was leaning on, only to find himself lost in the most beautiful pair of brown eyes he ever saw in his life. Gus was the best thing among everything that ever happened for him. He was older than him, for sure, but that wasn't a problem for him. The Latino was caring, loving, and a list of other good things that Rusty wasn't.

He stayed even when the blond told him everything, despite what he thought in the cafeteria. He could tell by the way that Gus looked at him from that moment that he liked him even more. He felt loved.

He leaned up and placed a quick kiss on the older boy's cheek, quickly looking away embarrassed, feeling his how cheeks getting hotter "what was that for?" Gus strong's accent asked.

He went back to put his head again on the boy shoulder "nothing. I thought I didn't do it so often" Gus smirked softly and begun again caressing the blonds' hair.

Rusty slowly felt asleep: he could totally get used to the dating thing.
