"CLILL!"

Thorin's voice had gotten her attention. She was holding her baby girl, Sidda, close as the palace was crumbling into pieces, all thanks to a renegade dragon. The fire-breathing beast swung its arms at both mother and daughter, sending them flying, hitting a nearby wall. The dragon blew one big ring of fire around the city of Erebor, and Clill screamed as a big pile of debris fell on her and Sidda.

"CLILL!" Thorin's voice cried.

Chapter 1 - Recalling a Nightmare

A young woman, about middle aged, had just awoken, frightened.

"Lady Dashi!" a servant girl called, getting her attention. "Is something wrong?"

"I'm fine," Dashi replied, trying to catch her breath. "I...I was having that horrible nightmare again."

"The nightmare about the dragon and the burning city?" the servant asked. "That was sixty years ago. You're living in the past, milady."

"Is my horse made ready?" Dashi asked.

"For the upcoming battle?" the servant replied.

"Yes," Dashi nodded.

"Yes."

"Then we must attack at dawn," Dashi ordered, raising her sword.

Elsewhere, a white-cloaked bearded figure peered into his crystal ball, watching an unexpected Dashi raise her sword.

"I fear that you will soon know your true identity, your highness," the figure worried. "Oh, Gandalf. Please, help her."

Author's note: Yeah, the first part of this chapter had gotten a few elements from the end of the next-to-last chapter of VBG's fanfic, "Princess of Erebor".
