Mike walked into the hospital room that Sandy was in. He planned to have a little chat with the boy who drove intoxicated with his sister in the car.

"Mike," Sandy said.

Mike sat down.

"It's good to see you," Sandy said.

Mike nodded.

"It's good to see you too," Mike replied, "Sandy let me get to the point. I like you. You're a good guy but what you did was stupid as hell."

"I know," Sandy said, "I almost died."

"Yes you did," Mike said, "But you survived. Now because I love Carol I'm going to let your stupidity go. I know my sister. My uncle is the D.A. I talked to him. I got him to drop the charges against you."

"You did!"

Sandy looked like he was going to hug him.

"It wasn't for your sake," Mike said, "I won't let Carol get hurt. That brings me to my next point. If you ever dare to hurt my sister-"

"I never would," Sandy promised.

"YOU DROVE DRUNK WITH HER IN THE CAR," Mike yelled, "WHAT IF SHE HAD BEEN IN THE CAR WHEN YOU HAD THE ACCIDENT."

Sandy looked shocked. He never thought of that.

"If you ever hurt Carol you will have to deal with me," Mike said, "and I promise you it won't be pretty."

"Mike look at me," Sandy said, "I'm ********* through a bag and peeing through another bag. I'm going to be in the hospital for awhile and look at this thing... already not pretty."

"Well if Carol gets hurt it'll be even more not pretty,"

Sandy nodded in understanding. He couldn't help grinning.

"Did I say something funny," Mike asked crossing his arms to make it clear he was not in a joking mood.

"No sir," Sandy said, "It's just wonderful that you love Carol so much... that you love her as much as I do."

"I love her more than you do," Mike said, "I would never put her life in danger."

"I get the point," Sandy said, "I messed up."

"Yes you did," Mike said, "and if you mess up again I will put you back in the hospital or the mourge even."

Sandy didn't take that threat seriously. He knew what Mike was getting at.

"Mike," Sandy said, "I screwed up and I really feel horrible about this. As it is I probably won't be getting out of here for months."

"Well feel better," Mike said and he left convienced Sandy had learned his leasson.
